Resident Evil 2 Remake Novel: Leon's Story.

Well, I did say I was going to write more Resident Evil stories in the future and here it is. Another Resident Evil story, but not just any Resident Evil story, a novelization of Resident Evil 2 Remake! The entire story will be based on Leon's point of view, then after completing this story, I'll be doing Claire's point of view story.

I'm going to be trying my best to write the exact same detail in the game, including the boss fights, but there might be time skips if I can't write a particular description. Hopefully, it doesn't come to that because I still want to write the exact same detail from the game. I loved playing the game and I would recommend you guys play said game first, both characters, before reading this story. That way, you won't get any spoilers.

Anyways, here is another Resident Evil story and I hope you guys enjoy the novelization.

Without further ado, let's head right into the story!

Enjoy the chapter.

Chapter One: The Start of a Nightmare.

A male truck driver in a gasoline truck was driving on a lonely dark road with heavy rain pouring downwards, the windshield wipers doing their best to wipe the water off the windshield. He was currently busy listening to a conversation that was happening on the radio.

"Look, man, I'm serious, ok? I saw this with my own eyes," A young man from the radio said desperately.

"Oh, I believe you, buddy, I believe you," Another man from the radio said, chuckling a bit at the young man's desperation. "Just tell us a story, please, tell us a story."

"Ok, well, it was last Friday night," The young man began his story, prompting the male truck driver to grab his rather greasy cheeseburger he bought a while ago from the dashboard and take a bite, savoring the taste before swallowing. He licked his lips to clean the sauce off. "I was walking home from the bar and this woman started coming towards me. She was staggering, you know, so I-I figured she was drunk from drinking too much."

"Whoa," The other man laughed, obviously not believing the story. He was finding it highly amusing. "Whoa, whoa. Ok, tell us, be honest now, how many drinks did you have?"

"No, man, I-I barely had a buzz on."

"Oh, c'mon!"

"No, just listen, alright?" The young man asked, hoping to make the other man see reason. "She got closer to me, and I got a good look at her. You had to see her eyes, her nose…" He remembers the horrific details he had seen that night, but one detail stood out the most. "Her whole face…looked like it was rotting!"

"Ew…" The other man said, cringing a bit from hearing that detail.

"She looked like a corpse…like a walking corpse, man!"

"Heh, sounds like my wife," The truck driver commented with a smile and chuckle before taking another bite of his cheeseburger.

"I've never seen anything like it…" The young man stated a bit fearfully. "I haven't been able to sleep well since that night and I can still remember the details I've seen."

"Okay, calm down, buddy, calm down," The other man said firmly, offering comfort words to calm the young man down. "Just…hey. You gotta stay strong, ok? Don't give into fear out there, right?"

Yeah, well, you got that right," Suddenly, the radio started to become hazy, much to the truck driver's annoyance. "If you freeze up around these things…they'll sink their teeth into you. I saw it attack somebody-" The radio then became disoriented.

"Come on…" The truck driver complained, placing his cheeseburger back on the dashboard and began tuning with the radio, wanting to listen the conversation again. "Just getting good."

For a while, the truck driver continued to drive on the lonely dark road with the heavy rain pouring downwards and tune with the radio, which the last part was still disoriented.

Eventually, after a few more moments of driving and tuning the radio, the truck driver began feeling tired, his eyes becoming droopy. He looked ready to fall asleep, despite the fact he was driving. He shook his head in an attempt to stay awake.

"I need some sleep," The truck driver said after releasing a yawn, his attention to the radio instead of the road where a faint outline of a person can be seen walking across slowly. The truck driver noticed the person when he got closed enough, his eyes widening slowly but before he could do anything, he rammed full speed into the said person, making a large amount of blood to spill in the air and staining the front of the gasoline truck.

"Oh, shit!" The now wide-eyed and awake truck driver exclaimed, shocked at what had just happened. He placed both hands on the steering wheel and immediately pressed down on the brake pedal, causing the tires to screech loudly as it tried to slow down.

The truck driver gritted his teeth as he put more pressure on the brake pedal, which was risky since the tires were extremely wet because of the heavy rain. Adding more pressure to the brake system could cause the truck to serve off the road and crash into a hard tree or a boulder.

Luckily, the crash didn't happen because the truck driver had managed to stop the truck, but in the process of stopping said truck, the person who got rammed full speed was sent flying backwards onto the concrete road, landing painfully and rolling sideways before coming to a stop.

Not long after the truck came to a stop, the truck driver immediately got out, getting soaked in the heavy rain in the process and quickly went towards the front of the truck where he saw the person, which is a woman upon closer inspection. A puddle of blood formed underneath her.

"No!" The truck driver mourned, feeling his breathing become quicker and frantic. "No…no…no…" He sped-walked towards the down woman, kneeled on one knee and reach out to lift an arm up to feel a pulse, but couldn't feel anything, much to the truck driver's great horror and sorrow.

Letting go of the arm he lifted to inspect for a pulse, the truck driver stood up from the road, looked at the woman's dead body for a few moments before turning around and began to hyperventilate, while taking off his baseball cap to reveal a bald head with side hair connecting to his beard. "What do I do? What am I going to do?!"

Because the truck driver was panicking on what to do during this accidental run-over kill situation, he did not notice the woman he ran into was slowly getting back up from the road, her upper body limped forward and eyes staring at his unsuspecting back…

And done! That is the ending of the very first chapter of Resident Evil 2 Remake Novel: Leon's Story. I know the chapter is short and not long like other stories I wrote, but I did say I wanted to write the exact same detail in the game. When I say every detail, I mean every detail, including the opening sequence of the game. I didn't mention the opening sequence because I wanted the chapter to be a surprise.

I'm planning on writing chapters based on the plot of the game and ending it after a specific sentence or cutscene, which is exactly how I ended this chapter by letting the zombie woman stare at the truck driver's back. It may sound stupid, and you guys think I might be doing it because I'm lazy, but I can assure you I'm not. I'm only doing what I strongly believed in.

I won't reveal spoilers for the next chapter, but if you guys have played the game before, then you immediately know what the next chapter is about.

I hope you guys enjoy the very first chapter of the Resident Evil 2 Remake Novel: Leon's Story and until then, I will see you in the next chapter. Have a great Monday and a happy early Halloween.

Write a review if you like this story and enjoy the chapter.

Next Chapter: Mizoil Gas Station.
