"Get up on your feet, tear down the walls

Catch a glimpse of the hollow world

Snooping 'round town will get you nowhere

You're locked up in your mind"- Pursuing my true self by Shihoko Hirata

Sometimes you wish you could disappear.

You just want to melt into a crowd, and be a face among faces. A small town has ties that bind, but some days they strangle.

This town knows your family, your name, and where you work. The later is what causes problems. Everyone and their Mother has an opinion on your job at Junes.

You envy the city people the anonymity. Surely there, no one would care so much about where a teenager works.

Here, everyone thinks they know you. They assume so much about you, without ever really asking.

What if you didn't want to work at the family business! It sounds exhausting. Yosuke works for his family, and it eats away at his free time, as he is expected to cover for so many other people. It looks exhausting!

He's a nice guy. Kind of clingy. Definitely nosy. Your not sure yet if it's the way the town is treating him, or if it's always been a part of his personality, but you would call him a friend.

He makes work easier.

It's not work your excited about, but you don't think it's supposed to be. You don't think that work would any more exciting if you were working for your family business, but people expect you to want that job, and it really does not Interest you in the slightest.

People think they know you, but they don't. Never all of you, no matter how close they think they are. Some days you don't even know who you are, or why you are here.

At least at Junes, people don't expect you to be that you to be that invested in it. They expect you to put on a smile for customers, but that's an expected social expectation anywhere.

You think maybe you just don't like work. The thought leaves you feeling cold. Unfortunately, work is not something you are rich enough to Opt out of, so you might as well get used to it. School has spent long enough preparing you for it. Time to get on with it. You make sure to work hard, even if you don't like it. Maybe one day it could lead to something you like.

Maybes are important. Possibilities are what the future is built on.

Some days, you imagine yourself getting on a train and riding it far away from here. You wouldn't actually do it, all the little realities of life would make it far more exhausting then fun, but sometimes you like to dream.

Maybe someday, you will move far away.

But right now you are here

I meant to finish this with Ryuji, going in a year cycle. Obviously that didn't happen, so I plan to end it with an entry for Anna Yoshizaka, who is a Scorpio. In the meantime, if there's anyone who I didn't do a birthday fic for that you are interested in seeing something for, leave a review before Nov 19th,and I will do my best.
