Scene: In a hotel room in London. The television is tuned to a news broadcast.

News anchor: (from the broadcast) God save the Queen! Now that their former mayor has resigned, Parisians are holding a new election and — surprise, they have a candidate who might actually go the distance. Her name is Miss Bustier and she's a French teacher. Like all candidates before her, she will be running against Mr. Armand D'Argencourt. So, good luck to them and Vive la France! But the big news of the day is the London arrival of the Royal Couple of Fashion: Adrien Agreste and his perfect love, Kagami Tsurugi, heiress to the Tsurugi Industries. Did the capital of love eat too many frogs that it let its famous sweethearts go overseas? Let's see some pictures! (The camera zooms out and slowly shows that Adrien is watching the broadcast.)

Adrien: (from the broadcast) Kagami is the greatest love of my life. You only love once — the first time, and it's forever. (He seems to disapprove of his own statement.)

"Please tell me that's a 3D image of me saying that on London TV," Adrien said as he groaned in annoyance at what he said on London's live broadcast on-screen.

"That'd be a nice excuse if it weren't for the fact that you two are in front of actual reporters. So, maybe your parents have forced you both to say those things about each other," Angel pointed out to the blond boy and the rest of the audience as they sighed in disappointment.

Adrien: How did I get into this mess?

Plagg: (while smudging his foot on the plastic covering an English cheese) By letting your father decide your future and selling your life story through a fake narrative, as usual! (Adrien deeply sighs.) Forgive me, that was a bit harsh. (In another room, Kagami is also seen watching the news broadcast and sees herself saying:)

Kagami: (from the broadcast) Ever since I became the muse of the Agreste brand, and Adrien and I fell in love, my life has been nothing but perfect! (She revolts to it as she growls.)

Kagami: Lies! (She was about to throw the remote control towards the television when someone knocked at the window — Argos. Kagami smiles at this sight. Argos, on the other hand, breathes on the glass window and draws a heart, to Kagami's amusement. She runs towards the window and joins Argos to escape. In the other room, Adrien comes up with a plan.)

"OK, seeing Felix in love and acting like that is weirding me out," Adrien said as he winced along with everyone else at his cousin's behavior towards Kagami on-screen except for the Japanese girl who widened her eyes in shock.

"Where are we going?" Kagami asked as she saw herself and Felix escape together from her room on-screen.

"You two run away back to Paris for a particular mission involving Marinette. You Adrien will also run away back to Paris to find Marinette which is why Mr. Agreste akumatized himself: to find and return you both to London," Angel explained about the situation as she pointed to Adrien and Kagami, who frowned in confusion as well as everyone else.

Adrien: (walks to the glass window) I can never seem to go against my father. But I won't give up my love for Marinette! I could go see her as often as I want... as Astrocat!

Plagg: And how will you explain this incredible ability of yours — making the London-Paris trip so often?

Adrien: I'll just have to tell her that I'm Cat Noir! (opens the window and runs out)

"Do I really end up telling Marinette that I'm Cat Noir?!" Adrien loudly asked as he gasped in shock along with everyone else at what he's planning to do on-screen.

"You came extremely close, but then decided against it at the last minute. You'll see why," Angel answered as half of the audience sighed in relief while the other half sighed in disappointment that the two heroes' identities are still kept secret from each other.

Plagg: WHAT? You can't! What about—

Adrien: Plagg, claws out!

Plagg: ...your secret identit— AAAAHHHH! (screams as he gets sucked inside his ring. As Adrien transforms into Cat Noir, he jumps out the hotel balcony and transforms himself into Astrocat to fly back to Paris.)

Cat Noir: Power up!

Scene: Paris, on the Eiffel Tower. Fireworks are continued to be set off for the end-of-the-school-year dance. A heartbroken Marinette walks to the tower's elevator, her make-up still looking messed up, following the finale of "Revolution".

Tikki: (worried) Marinette, are you sure you want to go...?

Marinette: We fought so hard for a happy ending, Tikki. (wipes her tears) We have to go to this dance, if only for my friends' sake.

"Girl, are you sure you still wanna go to the dance given what's happened?" Alya softly asked towards her best friend who is starting to tear up because of what her on-screen self is going through.

"I'm half-responsible for the dance along with Zoe. Doesn't that kind of make it my obligation to go? To make sure the dance goes smoothly for you all?" Marinette asked as she wiped away her tears.

"We'd totally understand!" Rose said, trying to comfort her as everyone else softly murmured in agreement, in which Marinette responded with a grateful smile towards her friends.

Tikki: You're so brave... Is there anything I can do?

Marinette: Do you know a surefire trick to keep from crying?

Tikki: If I did, I'd use it on myself. (After a few reassurances from Tikki, Marinette steps inside the elevator. Going up, she tries her best to hold back her tears.)

"AWWWWW!" Everyone in the audience gushed towards Tikki for being so helpful and cute towards Marinette on-screen as the holder and kwami cuddled each other.

Marinette: (breathes deeply) I won't cry. I won't cry. (fans her face with both her hands as she holds back her tears) I won't cry. With a little luck, no one will even notice me. (Stepping out the elevator, a spotlight opens, directing at her.)

Nino: (off-screen) Let's give it up for the girl who organized this awesome night with Zoé. Make some noise for Marinette! (The other students in the venue start to cheer upon Marinette's entrance. As the party continues on, Argos and Kagami arrive on the tower as well.)

"So much for not being noticed," Marinette groaned as she facepalmed along with everyone else at the moment on-screen.

Argos: What if it's not actually her?

Kagami: I couldn't believe it either at first.

"Yeah, little tidbit: Kagami, you've apparently known that Marinette is Ladybug for some time," Angel pointed out which brought out shocked reactions from her audience.

"HOW?!" The audience loudly asked in shock, with Marinette and Kagami being the loudest as the two girls looked at each other.

Flashback: From "Perfection", when Kagami eavesdropped on Marinette who is ranting to Alya about her being torn apart from her duties as the Guardian and her love life.

Marinette: I'm petrified at the thought of doing something careless again and losing my Miraculous because I won't be focused on my mission! (End of flashback.)

"That's how," Angel said as she pointed to the screen as her audience nodded in understanding even though that didn't break their shocked looks.

"We really should be careful about where we talk about Miraculous stuff," Marinette groaned as she bowed her head in disappointment towards herself on-screen with everyone else murmuring in agreement.

Scene: Back on the Eiffel Tower, Argos and Kagami contemplate on their plan with Marinette.

Kagami: But that's the only possible explanation. (On the venue grounds, Marinette meets up with her classmates.)

Argos: (off-screen) Do you think she can be trusted?

Kagami: She's my friend. We don't have a choice. (holds hands with Argos) My mother and Gabriel Agreste will never allow us to love each other freely. Only Ladybug can help us. (As Argos smiles, the two of them share a kiss before Argos jumps below to de-transform.)

Argos: Fold my feathers. (He de-transforms to Félix whilst disguising himself as Adrien. He walks casually into the party, where Miss Bustier gives Marinette a bouquet of flowers.)

"UGH! How many times is my cousin gonna imitate me?!" Adrien asked loudly in extreme annoyance towards his cousin on-screen.

Miss Bustier: Thank you, Marinette! Without you… (As Miss Bustier continues to thank her, Marinette sees "Adrien" at a distance.) I never would've had the courage to run for Mayor!

Marinette: Oh! You're welcome, Miss Bustier! We've always been an inspiration to you— I-I mean, the opposite! (bumps on Ivan)

Ivan: She incorporated our ecological proposals in her program! (gives Marinette a tight hug)

Mylène: (gives Marinette a small piece of log with a ribbon) Thanks to you, if Miss Bustier is elected, there will be more trees, less cars — the planet will breathe!

Marinette: (walks away backwards from Ivan and Mylène) I'm happy that the planet gets to breathe. But right now, I'm the one who can't breathe! (runs) Adrien! (Marinette hurriedly runs through the crowd, bumping into numerous people along the way.)

Rose: Are you sure you're okay, Marinette?

Kim: You don't look so good right now!

Marinette: (skittishly) Me? Not looking good? What are you talking about? I'm here, totally here! I've got a bouquet, a crown, a log, and I'm dancing! Woohoo! Oh wow, speaking of which, why don't I go try out that trampoline over there? Hop-hop! See ya! (She continues to run after "Adrien", but this time, she bumps into Zoé.)

Zoe: Oh, Marinette! We did it! Did you see this? The dance is incredible!

Marinette: Yes, yeah! Totally, Zoé! I'll be right back. (Marinette continues to run, before running into Marc and Nathaniel mid-affection.)

Marc: (startled) Marinette?

Marinette: Oh, sorry! Did you see him? Adrien... he was right there!

Nathaniel: Adrien? But—

Marc: Marinette, are you crying?

Marinette: Who, me? (hides her face behind the bouquet she's holding) Of course not! Adrien! (She runs over to where she sees "Adrien" walk by. She slumps down against the railing of the Eiffel Tower before attempting to call Adrien) There's no way... (sits on the floor and attempts to contact Adrien)

"So, Felix's plan is to embarrass me and make me look like I'm hallucinating in front of my friends?!" Marinette asked in confusion and exasperation along with everyone else towards Felix on-screen.

"Even though he should've thought about that, that's not exactly his plan. Felix posed as Adrien to lure you somewhere private," Angel explained to Marinette as her audience turned their attention back to the screen in curiosity.

Adrien's voicemail: Hello! You've reached Adrien's voicemail, leave a message! (Ironically, fireworks blast behind Marinette whilst her crestfallen mood.)

Alya: Marinette, stop. You're just hurting yourself. You know he's in London.

Marinette: What if he's come home? What if he disobeyed his father to come... (voice breaks) and find me?

Nino: London isn't that far! We'll find a way to go and visit him.

Alya: You have the right to be sad, Marinette. This is anything but the ending we expected.

Marinette: Oh! I just remembered! (stands up) I forgot a giant cookie that I made for the party! So, I'm going to go get it! I'll be right back! (Marinette runs away along the Eiffel Tower's loggia.)

Alya: That was the worst lie she's ever fed me.

"Really?! Worse than the lie she fed you about helping her grandfather bake a birthday cake for one of his pet mice?" Angel asked in exasperation which made the audience laugh hard in agreement (except for Marinette who's blushing in embarrassment).

"Point taken," Alya said as she laughed along with everyone else.

Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Gabriel's atelier. Gabriel scolds Gorilla for not tending to Adrien and Kagami in London.

Gabriel: (furious) How could they disappear?

Tomoe: (on-call) That your son should disobey you, Gabriel, that does not surprise me. But my own daughter? Akumatize me!

"I have had it with my mother's pretentious attitude about me!" Kagami loudly said, frustrated along with everyone else towards her mother on-screen.

"Yeah! And what does she mean that it does not surprise her that I disobeyed but it does when you do it?!" Adrien asked his friend who shrugged as the two and everyone else stayed frustrated.

Gabriel: No! (hangs up) I'll take care of this.

Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Nathalie's room.

Emilie: (from the video) All I want is for Adrien to be free.

Gabriel: Nathalie, Adrien is no longer in London. Where is he?

Nathalie: I don't know where he's gone. But the farther away he is from you, the better.

"Nathalie is looking really terrible. Is wearing a damaged Miraculous really that serious?!" Adrien asked in fear towards Nathalie's condition on-screen.

"Given what's happened to your mom, it seems that it is," Marinette said sadly towards her boyfriend as she caressed his arm, trying to comfort him. "I don't think it'd be the worst idea in the world if we anonymously sent your dad instructions on how to repair it before anyone else gets sick wearing it. Right, Master?" The girl then asked towards the old guardian who frowned as he was thinking.

"We'd might have to discuss this further when we get back, you two," Master Fu said as the two heroes nodded in agreement after some thought.

Gabriel: I was wrong to entrust my son to you. You are unworthy of upholding the legacy of the Agrestes. I am his father and I'm the only one my son will obey.

Nathalie: He's bound to escape you someday.

Gabriel: Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I'm sure he went to find her.

Scene: Monarch's lair. The lair window opens.

Monarch: (corrupts a butterfly and transforms it into a megakuma) I'm going to need your help to find my son, dear megakuma. Kaalki, (her pod flies towards Monarch) your power is now mine! (absorbs her power) Dark wings fall. (He de-transforms into Gabriel.)

Gabriel: My son, if you no longer respect your father's authority, then get ready to face that of Nightormentor. (Gabriel succumbs to the megakuma and transforms into Nightormentor.)

Nightormentor: I guess all I have to do to find you is to find her... Marinette.

"UH-OH!" Everyone in the audience said in panic and fear towards Marinette being targeted by the akumatized Mr. Agreste on-screen.

Scene: Back on the Eiffel Tower, Marinette races down the stairs to chase after "Adrien".

Marinette: Adrien! (sees "Adrien going down the stairs a little bit farther from her) Adrien? Adrien! Adrien! (continues to rush down the stairs) Wait! (The perfect timing — as soon as Marinette goes to chase after "Adrien" down the road, Astrocat arrives at the Eiffel Tower.)

Astrocat: Power down! (reverts himself back to Cat Noir. Meanwhile on the venue grounds...)

Mylène: Poor Marinette... She looks so sad.

Alya: Hey, guys! (runs towards the others with Nino and pants) She's gone. (The gang collectively gasps in shock, as well as Cat Noir who is quickly saddened with the news whilst perched on one of the tower's beams.)

Cat Noir: Marinette…

Ivan: You can't blame her for not being in a party mood.

Nino: And Adrien? He's our buddy. W-Why didn't he tell us anything? We would have helped him. His father can't have that much control over his life. (A sudden burst of pink dust showers over them and reveals Nightormentor.)

Nightormentor: Where is Marinette Dupain-Cheng? Where is my son, Adrien?

Cat Noir: Dad...?

Alya: Mr. Agreste?

Nightormentor: No, I am Nightormentor! And if you don't want me to awaken your worst nightmares, you'd better answer my questions. My son is with your friend, isn't he? You're protecting them!

"Awaken our worst nightmares? Is my father as this supervillain gonna be like Sandboy?" Adrien asked in confusion along with everyone else about his father's powers as Nightormentor on-screen.

"Not really. Sandboy brings your nightmares to life, but Nightormentor over there makes you think about your worst nightmares in your heads once he sprinkles his magic nightmare dust. So to put it simply, your minds will be tortured by your worst fears and nightmares," Angel explained and the audience immediately brought their attention back to the screen in fascination.

Nino: Dude, your son is in London!

Mylène: You sent him there yourself!

Rose: And you shouldn't be so proud of what you're doing to your own son! (Cat Noir jumps in the scene.)

Cat Noir: Need a little parental counseling?

Nightormentor: I take counsel from no one! You, little kitty, like my son, could use a demonstration on how to obey your superior!

Cat Noir: Seems to me that it's the father who's in need of a little demonstration right now. (The battle ensues — Nightormentor begins firing bolts of pink dust at Cat Noir, but the feline superhero evades every single one of his attacks.)

Kim: Yeah! Get him, Cat Noir! (Upon dodging one of the bolts pink dust, one of them hits Rose and awakens her greatest nightmare.)

Rose: (as she collapses on her knees) No! NO! NOOO! (And her greatest nightmare is awakened — a rainbow unicorn dying. Juleka runs towards Rose to her rescue.)

"As you can see, he just got you Rose and now you're forced to live your worst nightmare in your head," Angel said as she pointed to the screen while her audience gasped in shock and horror.

Juleka: What did you do to her?

Nightormentor: (while evading Cat Noir's every blow) Her worst nightmare is awakening! But I can rid her of it if you answer my simple question: Where are Adrien and Marinette?

Juleka: Never! (With no other choice, Nightormentor shoots pink dust at Juleka and awakens her nightmare — Jagged Stone yelling at her and breaking her bass guitar.)

Rose: Marinette is not here!

Nightormentor: I will free you from your nightmares once I've found my son and your friend!

Cat Noir: You really can't be trusted. What kind of father are you? (charges in)

Nightormentor: Voyage! (escapes through a portal)

Cat Noir: No!

Max: There's a 98.9% chance that he went to Marinette Dupain-Cheng's!

Ivan: Go, Cat Noir! Teach him a lesson!

Cat Noir: That akumatized villain's son and his girlfriend are lucky to have friends like you. (vaults away. Alya continues to contact Marinette on her Alliance.)

Marinette's voicemail: It's Marinette. Leave a message. Beep. (Alya closes her Alliance.)

Nino: Maybe the Resistance should get involved.

Alya: You're right, Comrade Ketchup.

Scene: Exterior, Tom and Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie. Nightormentor opens a portal right outside the bakery. He looks up at the window of Marinette's room.

Nightormentor: Hmm. Voyage. (As Nightormentor enters another portal, Cat Noir is already seen perched on another rooftop, preparing an ambush. He opens his cat phone to contact Ladybug.)

Cat Noir: M'Lady, if you're looking for me, I'm at the Dupain-Cheng bakery with an akumatized villain. (closes his cat phone) It's time you learn to let your son live his own life, Father.

Scene: Downtown Paris. Marinette is seen to be continuously chasing after Adrien on the streets, and continuously bumping into people as well.

Marinette: Sorry! (She never stopped running to go after what she thinks to be Adrien, as if she's being hallucinated by her own emotions — of her longing to see the love of her life. She stops in front of the school and notices the door slightly open. Figuring out that "Adrien" might have entered the school, she follows quickly inside. She wanders for a while and sees another door open on the floor above. She runs up and enters the art classroom, only to find no one inside. But rather, she sees a sketch of herself and Adrien on a piece of paper on the floor, and breaks down.) Adrien! (sobs as she hugs the piece of paper)

"OK, Felix has led me to the school and I'm even more depressed than ever. Now what?!" Marinette asked with an angry frown along with tears in her eyes. Angel just responded by pointing to the screen which brought her audience's attention back to it.

Scene: Exterior, Collège Françoise Dupont. Kagami and Félix are on the roof, along with Duusu.

Duusu: It's so sad!

Félix: The reason we're doing this, Duusu, is because we're hoping for a happy ending.

Duusu: (flies around them, ecstatic) Then, it's wonderful!

"On the bright side, Duusu looks like she's in good hands. Surprisingly," Plagg said about his fellow kwami on-screen, surprised along with everyone else.

Félix: (to Kagami) Are you ready? (Kagami nods.) Duusu, spread my feathers! (As he transforms into Argos, he plucks a feather from his fan and creates an amok, blowing it towards Kagami's ring.)

Argos: Oh, Amok, let our thirst for truth take shape! (He creates a sentimonster in the form of a projector.) I am giving you life so that you can help us bring the truth to light.

"Truth about what?!" Adrien asked in frustrated curiosity along with everyone else about what Felix and Kagami are trying to tell Marinette on-screen.

"The truth about his and your family, Adrien," Angel ominously answered to the blond boy who quietly gasped in shock and turned his attention back to the screen as well as everyone else.

Scene: Interior, Dupain-Cheng Residence, in Marinette's room. Nightormentor stops in front of Marinette's monitor full of Adrien's photos and gets furious. Cat Noir enters the room as well from the balcony trap door.

Cat Noir: That's enough! Leave these school kids alone!

Nightormentor: Learn your lesson, Cat Noir, and don't put your nose where it doesn't belong! (starts to shoot pink dust at Cat Noir)

Cat Noir: (while continuously evading every pink dust shot at him) On the contrary, I think you need someone to give you a few parenting lessons! It doesn't seem to be your strong suit!

Nightormentor: Silence! (throws Cat Noir over Marinette's sewing table. Landing on the table, a photo of Marinette with him as Adrien falls on his face, making him a little distracted as he stares at it for a while. Nightormentor then makes his escape.) Voyage! (Cat Noir quickly lunges on his feet and goes after Nightormentor before the portal closes.)

Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the art classroom. Marinette is seen curled up on the floor in the darkened room. A light shines inside the room, waking Marinette up. She notices Kagami and "Adrien" dressed in full white in front of her.

Marinette: Adrien? Kagami?

Kagami: (puts on mask) Shh.

Félix: (puts on mask) Shh. (The projector starts narrowing down on both of them, and projects a hairstyle onto Kagami's mask, and a crown on Félix's. The backdrop switches to an English castle, and Félix starts narrating.) Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, a queen and a king were expecting a child. (Kagami acts as a pregnant Mrs. Graham de Vanily, and Félix, as Mr. Graham de Vanily, leans to the implied bump.)

Félix: (as Mr. Graham de Vanily) Oh, my queen. How I look forward to seeing our child. Thanks to him, our lineage will continue and our family will reign over the kingdom for eons to come. (A cradle for the first child lights up on the left...)

Félix: But the queen did not give birth to one child… (...as well as for the second child on the right.) but to two little girls.

Félix: (as Mr. Graham de Vanily) Oh, my queen. Which one should we entrust our kingdom to? (The twin rings were attached to baby Emilie's necklace.)

Félix: Because she had been born seven seconds earlier, the king and queen decided to entrust the fate of the kingdom to the firstborn.

"I know it just started, but I'm not following. King and Queen? Twin girls?" Adrien asked in extreme confusion along with everyone else in the audience.

"Well you see, Adrien, those twin princesses: your mother and your aunt. And your mom's the first one born, so she was originally the heiress to her parents' kingdom. The story starts with her," Angel explained about the beginning of the story as her audience gasped with shock and fascination (especially Adrien).

"Originally the heiress? What happened?" Adrien asked in which Angel responded by pointing to the screen, bringing back her audience's full attention.

Scene: On the rooftops, Nightormentor is still seen looking for Adrien.

Nightormentor: Adrien...!

Cat Noir: I'm guessing he's avoiding you. You don't seem like a very nice father!

Nightormentor: Very well. I'll do away with you first! (throws a punch at Cat Noir, sending him flying) And I'll take your Miraculous and give it to Monarch! (shoots pink dust at Cat Noir once more)

Cat Noir: (evades the pink dust) How about you start leaving your son and the girl he loves alone instead?!

Nightormentor: Voyage! (He creates a portal underneath him, making another escape, in which Cat Noir misses his attack, sending him on the ground.)

Cat Noir: Coward.

Scene: Back in the art classroom at the school, Marinette is left mesmerized by the story of the twins. Kagami is acting as Emilie, while Félix is acting as Amelie.

Félix: The king and queen's twins grew up, each day as different in heart as they were similar in body. (Kagami, as Emilie, prances around the backdrop of a forest.) The firstborn, curious and brazen, despised life at court and escaped at every opportunity. (While Félix, as Amelie, sits in front of a bookshelf backdrop, reading books.) The younger daughter, well-behaved and respectful, did everything she could to please her parents, and stayed quietly in the castle. (The scene switches to Félix holding Kagami, acting as the Graham de Vanily couple, under a spotlight.)

"Even though your mom and aunt were identical, Adrien, they were very different from each other. Your mom a.k.a. The Curious Princess hated her restricted life in her palace, was curious about the outside world, and was kind of rebellious against their parents. So, you are a lot like her. Meanwhile, your aunt a.k.a. The Good Princess was well-behaved, obedient, and always tried to please their parents," Angel explained the difference between Emilie and Amelie much to everyone else's wide-eyed fascination (especially Adrien's).

Félix: (as Mr. Graham de Vanily) Oh, my queen. Did we entrust our legacy to the right princess?

Kagami: (as Mrs. Graham de Vanily) She will fall in line, eventually. (Marinette places down the drawing and immerses herself to watch the duo's reenactment.)

Félix: Confident that she would settle down as she matured… (Kagami hops around a moving backdrop, somewhat depicting Emilie's travel to Paris.) the king and queen allowed the Curious Princess to leave to study beyond the sea in another kingdom. (Félix dresses up as Gabriel Agreste, and they both stand before a backdrop of the Eiffel Tower.) There, she immediately found true love in a humble tailor. (Commence kiss. Marinette realizes who the peculiar tailor is.)

"That humble tailor being your father, Adrien," Angel pointed out to the blond boy and everybody else as they nodded in understanding.

Marinette: (gasps) It can't be… (Félix, as Gabriel, draws in the air, reenacting Gabriel making his own designs.)

Félix: The tailor was making clothes so magnificent that they revealed the beauty of the soul of anyone who wore them. (Félix as Gabriel, and Kagami as Emilie, are being playful on the bed.) Although it made her parents furious, the Curious Princess gave up her rank, her wealth and her kingdom to live a bohemian life with the tailor. (Kagami, as Emilie, removes the family ring from her finger and divides it into two, putting the other half on Félix as Gabriel.)

"This is true, Adrien. Your mom gave up everything in her life like her aristocratic rank and her inheritance of the kingdom to be with your father," Angel then pointed out to the blond boy, in which he and the audience gasped in shock as well as softly gushed at the thought, except for one person.

"No offense, but that sounds kind of utterly ridiculous. Giving up your riches and an entire kingdom for a man?!" Chloe asked with a cringe to her face. As much effort as she put in to be nicer and more humble, she still can't understand people who give up their riches for love.

"Chlo, why don't we cross that bridge about my mom's choices if you end up falling in love with someone who's not rich?" Adrien asked, defending his mother's choices with a frown and everybody else murmured in agreement, sporting frowns towards the blonde girl as well. Chloe has no idea how to respond, so she just stays silent.

Kagami: (as Emilie) Oh, my humble husband. We only require a child for our happiness to be complete. (The two of them share a kiss. The scene switches to Kagami acting as Amelie.)

Félix: Meanwhile, the Good Princess, to please her parents, resigned herself to marry a wealthy, though heartless, Lord of War. (Félix as Colt waves his hat over his head.) The king, the queen, and the lord all dreamed of the same thing: a child for the Good Princess, an heir for the kingdom.

"Meanwhile, Adrien, your aunt subjected herself to marry the man of her parents' choice: your uncle and Felix's father even though he's mean and cold-hearted. So while your parents married for love, Felix's parents married for advantage," Angel explained which made the audience nod in understanding.

Scene: Back on the rooftops, the battle between Cat Noir and Nightormentor continues.

"Do I eventually show up to fight Nightormentor as Ladybug?" Marinette asked, concerned for her boyfriend to fight the supervillain on his own on-screen.

"No, Cat Noir is on his own this time. But with help from you guys, the Resistance, of course," Angel explained as she pointed to the teens who's excited as well as shocked that Ladybug wouldn't be fighting this time.

Nightormentor: Adrien! Adrien!

Cat Noir: I don't think I'd like having a father like you! (attacks Nightormentor with his staff)

Nightormentor: If I were your father, I would start by teaching you some manners!

Cat Noir: (after kicking Nightormentor) And if I were your son, I'd tell you you can't always make decisions for other people — that to have a child is to help them blossom, to grow, to find themselves and to be free! (lands a final blow on Nightormentor and tackles him on the ground, stepping on his arm to make sure he will not get away once more)

Nightormentor: You're insolent!

Cat Noir: You're insolent! Cataclysm! I feel sorry for your son.

Nightormentor: Don't be. He's very happy. (And right after that, Nightormentor catches Cat Noir off-guard and takes the opportunity to send him flying once again and shoots him with pink dust, bringing Cat Noir on his knees and awakening his greatest nightmare.) It's time for you to learn to respect adults, child, and to pay the price for your defiance and disrespect!

Cat Noir: No! (grunts)

"What's your worst nightmare?" Marinette asked as she gasped in shock and horror along with everyone else that her boyfriend had been hit by his akumatized father with his magic nightmare dust on-screen.

"I…don't know. I've been unhappy about a lot of things that I don't know which one," Adrien honestly answered, just as worried as everyone else. As he looked at the screen with a sad look, Marinette tenderly cuddled him in comfort.

Scene: In the art classroom, Kagami and Félix's storytelling continues. The projector shows the four seasons passing away, with Kagami as Emilie and Félix as Amelie down on their knees, their arms around their bellies.

"What's going on now?" Adrien asked, even more curious to hear about his family's life story as well as everyone else.

"No matter how much they tried, both your mom and your aunt couldn't get pregnant. At least by natural means," Angel explained about the problem in the Agreste/Fathom family, which brought confusion to her audience.

"Then, how did Felix and I…wait a minute! Felix is a sentimons- I mean a sentibeing. Would that mean…?!" Adrien asked but Angel just responded by replaying the episode.

Félix: Time was passing. And neither of the two sisters managed to have a child. (Kagami as Emilie and Félix as Gabriel walk towards the cardboard drawings of the King and Queen, Mr. and Mrs. Graham de Vanily, and kneel before them.) Eventually, with deep sorrow, the Curious Princess resigned herself to returning to court in order to benefit, like her sister, from the best remedies. (The projector flashes the four seasons in the background, with Emilie and Amelie on their knees and their arms around their bellies once more.) But even the best remedies couldn't seem to overcome their curse. (Marinette squints her eyes, immersing herself more in the story.) Until one day, the Curious Princess learned that she was expecting — (The two depict Emilie pregnant and Gabriel, with peacock feathers spreading on the background.) She was pregnant. (Marinette's eyes widened upon realization.) The Lord of War burst out in anger. It was his wife, the Good Princess, who deserved to have a child, not her curious and futile sister who had abandoned her kingdom for that inferior tailor. (Kagami as Colt storms towards Félix as Gabriel who is seen acting out creating his fashion designs.)

"I guess you can answer your own question based on the peacock feathers in the background when your mom got pregnant with you, Adrien," Angel then said to the blond boy who widened his eyes in complete shock as well as the rest of the audience who loudly gasped at the revelation (except for Master Fu since he had his suspicions).

"I'm… a sentibeing too?" Adrien softly and slowly asked, still in complete shock as he looked at his hands as if he's some sort of inhuman creature.

"That would explain why you cannot tell Marinette's obviously been in love with you this entire time!" Kim then said, making everyone else glare at him in extreme exasperation.

"That's your biggest takeaway IN THIS SITUATION?!" Alix shouted at her athletic rival in extreme disbelief, making Kim shrink down in embarrassment as the audience turned their focus back to Adrien.

"To answer your question, I'm afraid so, Adrien. That's why your mom used the Peacock Miraculous. So that you and your dad can finally have a baby," Angel softly said with a sad look towards the blond boy who began to tear up.

"That explains why your father was able to get you under his control by touching his ring. The ring must contain the amok that created you!" Plagg then said in realization to his holder in which everyone else murmured in understanding. "Am I right?"

"You're on the right track, Plagg. Both the twin wedding rings contain the amok that created Adrien," Angel answered.

"So, I'm the reason my mom got sick. I'm the reason for this whole Miraculous mess that my father had caused?!" Adrien asked as tears started to flow out of his eyes much to the audience's pitiful sorrow towards the blond boy.

"Adrien, this is not your fault! Your mom was the one who took the risk with the Peacock Miraculous. She probably had no idea that it was damaged. She and your dad are the ones responsible for this! Not you!" Marinette said as she cuddled her boyfriend to comfort him as the audience loudly reassured him in agreement.

"And do not let this revelation make you think you're not human, Adrien. Even though you weren't created in a natural way, you still have the appearance, emotions, dreams, and abilities of any other human being in the world," Master Fu wisely pointed out to the blond boy who gave him a sad smile as he continued tearing up.

"Thanks, Master. But I still need more time to process this," Adrien said as he wiped his tears as everyone else nodded in understanding while giving him pitiful looks. As Angel replayed the episode, Marinette continued to cuddle Adrien which brought another sad smile from him.

Kagami: (as Colt) That's unfair! Why should you be the one who gets to have a child?

Félix: (as Gabriel) Maybe it's a miracle.

Kagami: (as Colt) You don't deserve this. (Kagami and Félix are seen acting out pregnant Emilie and Gabriel who is tending to her.)

Félix: The Curious Princess felt badly for her twin sister. So, she asked the tailor if he could do something for the Good Princess and the Lord of War to have a child as well. (The scene switches to Félix, acting as Gabriel, talking to Kagami who is acting as Colt.)

Félix: (as Gabriel) After much study, I have discovered a solution for you and your wife. But there will be a price to pay. You will give me your best knight to guard my future son. In exchange, I will lend you this magic amulet. It will allow you to give life to your dream and to control it.

"Your father loaned your uncle the Peacock Miraculous, so that he and your aunt can have a child as well. In exchange, your uncle gave up his bodyguard to be your bodyguard. Ergo, that's how Felix came into the picture," Angel explained the current part of the story as everyone else nodded in understanding though still sported looks of shock.

Kagami: (as Colt) Sorcery? Never!

Félix: (as Gabriel) Well, it's up to you, of course. (Just as "Gabriel" is about to take back his offer, "Colt" chases after his hand and accepts this "sorcery" that "Gabriel" talks about, taking the Peacock Miraculous with him as well.)

Félix: (as Colt, with the power of the Peacock Miraculous) Oh, feather. ("amokizes" the cardboard feather) Take shape and give substance to our immense yearning for a child. (Félix, acting as Colt, inserts the cardboard amok in between the ring he is wearing, depicting Colt who has created a child with the power of the Peacock Miraculous.)

Félix: His jealousy came to life. The Good Princess finally became pregnant. (Kagami, acting out as Colt, reaches for "Amelie"'s belly bump frailly. Then, two baby dolls appear on the scene, depicted as Adrien and Félix as infants.) A few months later, the twin princesses gave birth to two little boys as similar as their mothers were. ("Emilie" and "Amelie" cradle their sons in their arms.)

"And now, you and Felix were born," Angel then said to the blond boy as everyone else gushed at the sight of the two babies on-screen.

"I've always wondered how you and your cousin were identical, Adrien. I understand that your moms are identical twins, but unless your father and uncle were genetically identical as well, it's naturally improbable," Max pointed out in which everyone else gave him glares that said, "Why say that now?," much to the genius teen's blushing embarrassment.

Scene: Paris post-apocalypse. The city is bathed under the orange-hued sky, with the moon blasted in half. Cat Noir wakes up and sees himself akumatized, all alone with everything and everyone else in ruins, including Ladybug.

"This is your nightmare, Adrien. A Cat Blanc-like incident," Angel pointed out to the blond boy as he and everyone else gasped loudly in shock of what has become of Paris and its citizens in his nightmare on-screen.

Cat Noir: (as Anticat) What happened?

Nightormentor: (appears as a hallucination behind Cat Noir) What do you think happened? It's always the same problem with ill-mannered children. They can't control their anger.

Cat Noir: (as Anticat, while sobbing) No. No. No, no, no. (sees a petrified Ladybug in his arms) I couldn't have done that. (Ladybug dusts away into thin air. Back on the rooftops, Cat Noir is down on his knees.)

Nightormentor: You can put an end to this nightmare. All you need to do is give me your Miraculous.

Cat Noir: (while sobbing) Take it.

Everyone in the audience dug in their tissue boxes as they began sobbing heavily again in response to the psychological torture Cat Noir is going through on-screen.

Scene: Back to Kagami and Félix's storytelling, Kagami, acting as Colt, is seen sitting on a chair begrudgingly.

"And now in this part of the story, Felix tells you about his life with him and his father given the fact that he's actually a sentibeing," Angel explained as her audience wiped their tears off their eyes.

Félix: Some time after his son was born, the Lord of War fell ill. And the weaker he grew, the more convinced he became that he was paying the price for using magic. (The camera slowly pans out, showing Félix as his younger self playing with toys) He started to see his child as a monster. And soon, his fear tarried into hate.

"Just like your mother, Adrien, your uncle suffered through the effects of using the damaged Peacock Miraculous which is how he died. And he took his anger about the situation out on Felix his entire life," Angel explained to her audience who widened their eyes in fascination.

Kagami: (as Colt) Monster! Monster! Monster!

Félix: The miraculous child did not understand. (takes off his mask for sincerity) Why didn't his father love him?

Marinette: Felix?

Félix: (reaches out to what is depicted to be Colt's hand on the hospital bed) And why did he feel obligated to obey all his orders, ("Colt" places his hand out of Félix's reach) no matter how unfair they might be? (Kagami, acting as Colt, begins to order Félix's younger self to do things.)

Kagami: (as Colt) Sit! Stand! Walk! Grab! ("Young Félix" is seen holding a bunny plushie with adoration.)

Félix: And if he became fond of anyone who displeased his father… ("Colt" pops in from the shadows, much like Gabriel in Adoration, who orders his son...)

Kagami: (as Colt) No! (The bunny plushie's arm is seen ripped away from the toy itself.)

Félix: ...an order from his father was enough to trouble his feelings.

Kagami: (as Colt, slamming her hand on a table...) Monster. Monster. Monster! (...and damaging the ring in the process, and Félix reenacts to how he had reacted as the ring got damaged)

"Poor Felix. No wonder he turned out so angry and cold," Adrien said, now fully understanding what his cousin had gone through his whole life. Everyone in the audience murmured in agreement as they started to genuinely feel sorry for Felix this time.

Félix: The child realized that his life was linked to that ring. ("Colt"'s hand is seen dangling from the "hospital bed" once more.) And it was only when his father died that he could recover it, and his freedom along with it. (Félix takes the ring from his father's hand and puts it in his finger.) He understood that the amulet that had allowed his mother to give him life could also take it away. (Félix is now seen "standing" before the Agreste mansion.) So he went to the house of the tailor, who had become a prince, to steal the jewel. (An image of Gabriel appears in the background with only half of his body shown, towering over Félix.) But the tailor had become a powerful prince. (Félix wears a mask resembling that of when he wielded the Dog Miraculous in the episode "Risk".) The child had to steal other magical amulets that the tailor desired. Only then was he able to make an exchange.

Marinette: (gasps) The day I lost the Miraculous...!

"So, Felix exchanged all the Miraculouses that day to get the Peacock Miraculous for the sake of his existence?!" Marinette asked curiously as well as everyone else in which Angel nodded in confirmation much to her audience's shock.

Scene: On the rooftops, Nightormentor is about to grab hold of Cat Noir's Miraculous until something is thrown on the side of his face. It is revealed that the Resistance has come and helped Cat Noir.

Nino: Why would you be so mean to people?!

Alya: You look a little stumped! (Nino and Alya continue to throw some things they gathered from the party at Nightormentor — from plastic balls, then a metal tray slamming right on his face.)

Nightormentor: You miserable brats! Oh— (Ivan wraps Nightormentor with a party streamer. Kim runs to Cat Noir's rescue.) I will teach you the meaning of the word— (gets thrown at with plastic balls)

Kim: Cat Noir... (Cat Noir slowly opens his eyes.) We need you, buddy.

Max: Given the fact that Ladybug isn't here, Paris needs you 100%! (Alya is seen to be keeping Nightormentor distracted by smacking his face with a bouquet, and eventually gets thrown away by the villain.)

Nightormentor: Enough!

Nino: Alya!

Zoé: No! (The Resistance runs to Alya's aid.)

Nightormentor: Insolent children! (Just as Nightormentor was about to blow another pack of pink dust at the Resistance, Cat Noir jumps in and disintegrates Nightormentor's blow gun with his Cataclysm, bringing out the megakuma and de-transforming the villain back to Gabriel. The Resistance cheer on their victory.)

Alya: Cat Noir! (Zoé holds up the jar containing the megakuma.)

Cat Noir: Well done!

The teens in the audience cheered in pride that they managed to de-akumatize Mr. Agreste without Ladybug's help on-screen.

Scene: In the art classroom, Kagami and Félix's storytelling slowly comes to a close.

Félix: Then, the Miraculous boy met a girl like him. (he and Kagami take off their masks) They fell in love.

Kagami: Just like the Curious Princess and the tailor before them. They just wanted to be free and to love each other.

Félix: But this time, it's the tailor who is trying to stop them.

Kagami: They could use someone's help.

Félix: Someone like Ladybug.

Kagami: She's the only one who can face the tailor. 'Cause she's the only one who can fix things.

Marinette: Me...? (The projector light goes off. Marinette quickly switches on the light in the classroom.)

Kagami: (v.o.) You know what it's like to not be able to love the one you want.

Félix: (v.o.) You know what it's like to constantly fight to save the people you love.

Kagami: (v.o.) You have to lie all the time, and never reveal who you really are. (Marinette wakes up with a loud gasp, panting. She gets up on the floor, the bright sunlight making her eyes squint. She sees a purified amok floating in the same room and out the window. Marinette unveils a curtain, covering a picture frame of the "Ladybug and Cat Noir'' movie poster. She closes the curtain with a determined look, and walks towards the window and leans as she says...)

Marinette: I'll help you.

Scene: London. Argos and Kagami return safely to the hotel.

Argos: Will she have the courage to face the father of the boy she loves?

Kagami: Trust me, nothing will stop her now. (The sun rises behind them as Argos and Kagami share a heartfelt kiss.)

Scene: Exterior, Dupain-Cheng Residence. Cat Noir lands on the balcony railing as he stares at the trapdoor to Marinette's room.

Cat Noir: It's time to drop the masks. (He begins to waltz towards the trapdoor when suddenly, the effects of Nightormentor's pink dust begins acting up again, his nightmare of Anticat relapsing on his head yet again. With this, he steps back and retracts from executing his plan to reveal his true identity to Marinette. He leans on the nearby table, grimacing) Claws in! (de-transforms into Adrien)

Plagg: What's happening?

Adrien: (pants) Ladybug didn't perform a Miraculous Ladybug. The nightmare's still here! (Down in Marinette's room, Marinette walks towards her mirror while holding her party dress with a frown.)

Tikki: That was one sad fairy tale, Marinette.

Marinette: (after hanging her dress on the mirror) That's because it's not just a fairy tale, my Tikki. (unplugs her phone from her charger) And it's not finished yet. (A message notification from Alya appears on her phone. She presses on the message and sees a photo of Alya and Cat Noir with the jarred megakuma.) Seems like Cat Noir's had a busy night. Tikki, spots on! (transforms into Ladybug. Back on the balcony, Adrien's nightmare continues to haunt him.)

Adrien: You were right, Plagg. I can't tell Marinette that I'm Cat Noir. And I can't disobey my father either. (pauses) You saw the result. (leans on the railing) I can't stay here. Plagg, claws out! (transforms into Cat Noir...) Power up. (...and into Astrocat. Just right after Astrocat flew away, Ladybug came out of the trapdoor and swung away as well.)

"OOOOH! SO CLOSE!" The teens in the audience (except for the two heroes themselves) loudly groaned in frustration that Ladybug and Cat Noir were so close to finding out about each other but didn't on-screen.

Scene: Exterior, Collège Françoise Dupont, on the roofs. Ladybug listens over Cat Noir's recording of how they defeated Nightormentor the night before.

Cat Noir: (on the recording) That's where you'll find the megakuma that was responsible for that jarring nightmare. (laughs) "Jarring." Get it? (Ladybug finds the jarred megakuma and opens her yo-yo to purify it.)

Ladybug: No more evildoing for you, megakuma! Time to de-evilize! (captures the megakuma) Gotcha! (releases the purified butterfly) Bye-bye, little butterfly!

Cat Noir: (on the recording) So, did you set it free? We're such a great team, even when I'm not here. Now hold out your fist, and let's…

Ladybug: (along with Cat Noir's voice recording, holding out her fist in the air) Pound it.

"Pound it!" Marinette and Adrien fist-bumped then kissed each other (a little longer this time) in victory.

Epilogue: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Gabriel's atelier. Gabriel is in front of his monitor, flashing the view of the surveillance cameras in Adrien and Kagami's white rooms in London.

Gabriel: Everything is under control, Tsurugi-san. Our children will no longer escape us.

"What kind of parents would put their children into cell-like rooms like prisoners?!" Miss Bustier asked in angry exasperation along with everyone else towards Mr. Agreste and Mrs. Tsurugi on-screen on behalf of Adrien and Kagami who are both saddened about their parents' treatment of them.

Tomoe: This means we can launch "Operation: Perfect Alliance".

Gabriel: Yes. (hangs up) It's time to put an end to the adventures of Ladybug and Cat Noir!

"What's Operation: Perfect Alliance?" Marinette asked, very curious and nervous along with everyone else about what the two villains are planning on-screen.

"It's a big elaborate surprise attack on Ladybug and Cat Noir with the use of the Alliance rings. And it's not just in Paris. It's a worldwide attack now that the rings have been sold around the world," Angel explained, which made the entire audience gulp in fear and panic, then the angel turned to Adrien. "How are you doing, Adrien? Now that you finally know the truth about yourself and your family."

"You mean the fact I was actually created by a Miraculous? Still processing," Adrien said with a slight frown, but then softened up as soon as Marinette cuddled him tenderly. "So, what's next?"

"Now is the 2-part season finale called The Final Day," Angel ominously announced, which made the audience cringe in confusion. "You'll understand the name when we get to the end. Anyway, this first part is called Conformation which is the starting point of Operation: Perfect Alliance."

"No akumatizations?" Marinette asked curiously as well as everyone else in confusion.

"Well, Mr. Agreste re-akumatizes himself back into Nightormentor in the beginning, but it's very brief," Angel answered. "Anyway, let's start!"
