While in the somewhat crowded Lamia Scale, Lyon sat at a chair, reading the most recent newspaper. The contents of the first page article intriguing him. "What…?" Lyon said to himself as he sat up.

"What's wrong, Lyon-dono?" Jura asked as he walked over to the ice make mage.

"This newspaper…" Lyon started as he showed the wizard saint the paper, more so the front page. "I was unaware of the mysterious villain going around destroying small towns…"

"Mysterious villain…?" Jura asked while raising a brow, taking the paper form Lyon's hand while observing the paper.

"Mysterious only because they have no known name at the moment," Lyon replied while taking a seat, crossing his arms after. "I don't know what this villain is after, but I do hope that Chelia won't run into this person…."

"Speaking of Chelia-dono…" Jura started as he placed the paper down. "I don't believe she has at least let us known how she is doing…"

"She's probably busy…" Sherry said.

"We should prepare ourselves in case this person attempts to attack a town nearby, on!" Toby shouted.

"I agree with Toby. Something should be done so Lamia Scale isn't known as the 8th ranking guild in Fiore," Yuka said with an agreeing nod, crossing his arms behind him after.

"That's the spirit," Jura said as a smile appeared on his face, feeling the guild finally rebound after the prior defeat. After a few minutes passed, Jura felt a strange presence in the area, causing him to go on alert. "…"

"Explode…" A voice whispered, and several seconds later, the entire Lamia Scale building was engulfed by a large explosion, large chunks of the building flying everywhere, and a large dust cloud picked up from the smoke. When the smoke cleared, the members of Lamia Scale were seen on the ground, heavily damaged.

"W-What the hell…?" Lyon groaned, placing his hands on the ground as he started to pick himself up.

The culprit of the explosion was none other than one of the nine demon gates; the explosion specialist himself; Jackal. The demon stood at where the front door of the guild used to be, his arms crossed with a brow raised. "Still alive…?" The demon asked feeling indifferent about the fact most of the members managed to survive.

"W-Who are you?!" The old Ooba asked, rather damaged herself, yet still alive, proving she was quite the resilient old woman.

"Everyone, be careful!" Jura started as he began to stand, his immense endurance starting to show itself. "This…thing isn't human…!"

"I don't believe what I am matters right now, old man," Jackal replied as he held his hand out. "Just sit tight, and I'll make this a quick death for ya, alright?" Jackal's face gained a devious expression, and he then swiped his hand downward. "Spiral Explosion!" After Jackal shouted, the former ruins of what used to be Lamia Scale engulfed in a spiraling explosion, the ground shaking slightly from the force of it. When the smoke cleared, there were no bodies present. "Oops." Jackal said with a sadistic grin.

Inside Tartaros the members of that guild, Silent Sanctum, Zancrow, and Rustyrose were circled around a table, with Tobias in front. Tobias laid down a map of the Magic Council building, and was getting ready to lay his plan out. "Hm…?" Tobias looked around, noticing Ruika wasn't around. "Is Ruika not joining us or something?" Tobias asked.

"She's current undercover, remember?" Maggie said with a sigh, obviously disappointed in Tobias for not remembering.

"Oh yeah, that's right…" Tobias merely shrugged. "Her part of the plan can be omitted then, since it's really not too important in the long run after all."

"Get on with the plan…" Kiora sighed.

"Yes, yes, yes…" Tobias said, now pointing to the blueprints of the Magic Council building. "As you all should know, the Magic Council has a few things we want, and I've devised a plan that will not only get us what we want and what we need, but also to show how powerless the Council really is when it comes to us."

"And what is this plan exactly?" Daityas asked, rather curiously because he, just like everyone else, was in the dark about this.

"Ah, I was hoping someone would ask," Tobias said as a sly grin appeared on his face. "Thanks to the Head Captain, who happens to be the thought projection of Aloysius, I've been given a map to our destination. "We want the jail cells. As for whatever and whoever stands in the way, get rid of them."

"The jail cells?" Rustyrose perked up from interest. "Pray tell, are we going to do what I think we are?"

"Heh, you'll see, Rusty," Tobias replied with a smirk. "Of course, this isn't a big job, but I do recommend that most of us go."

"And who will go?" Blake asked.

"It is your plan, so who is needed?" Daityas asked. "We have far too many people sticking around here…and you're all idiots…"

"Well…" Tobias started as he looked around. "Ah, simple. Maggie, Kiora, Ur, Zancrow, Rustyrose, and you, Dait."

"Oh?" Daityas raised a brow.

"Yes, I do believe you'll find the benefit in joining this operation," Tobias replied.

"What about Silent Sanctum?" Diana asked while tapping her foot impatiently. "My little protégé is just dying to see some action…"

"Protégé?" Tobias blinked a few times.

"Oh…yes, well, they aren't a part of a guild, but they did allow the darkness to take them over, so why not?" Diana replied.

"Are they useful?" Tobias asked while raising a brow, feeling quite skeptical about the idea.

"Of course they are I did train them myself." Diana nodded.

"I was unaware of this…" Blake coughed.

"Fine, I suppose I'll take your word on this…" Tobias said. "But if they screw up…"

"Don't worry…they'll do just fine…" Diana replied with a smirk. "Just fine…"

"I can hear it…" Cobra said while in his cell, his ears picking up everything that was going to happen soon.

"Quiet!" A council guard said to the Poison Dragon slayer, smirking at his current condition. Cobra wore tattered clothes, nothing like his usual attire, and his spiky hair was rather unkempt at the moment. "Huh…Prison really does take the threat out of a person, doesn't it? The villain is now the victim, how's it feel?"

"I don't think you're really one to be talking…" Cobra said with a smirk. "I can hear it…you will be eating your words soon enough."

"Still wanna talk big, huh?" The guard said with an arrogant smirk; he then pulled out a magic weapon, placing it inside the cell, and sent an electric shock to the confined Cobra, who resisted the urge to yell out in pain from it. After a few seconds, the guard pulled back, a sneer on his face. "Tch…tough guy, huh…?" Before the guard could go in for another, the alarms started to blare. "What?!"

In the entrance of the Magic Council, Ur, Maggie, Tobias, Zancrow, Rustyrose, and Daityas stood, all with smirks on their face. "That grabs their attention…" Rustyrose said while pushing his glasses up.

"You all know your parts, so let's get going!" Tobias said, but he said so in a tone that wouldn't make it seem like he was ordering people around, because he knew how that would turn out later. "And where the hell is that person Diana wanted me to bring along so badly…"

"Spread out, ladies," Ur said with a grin. Kiora and Rustyrose took the east wing pathway while Maggie took the west. Tobias and Ur stayed back while Dait just walked as though he owned the place.

"This should be entertaining…" Daityas said as a small smirk appeared on his lips.

"Stop them!" A few council guards shouted, flooding into the room to stop Ur and Tobias first, captain Lahar walking in after them.

"Tartaros?" Lahar asked while narrowing his eyes at the two mages, not surprised to see Ur Milkovich alive due to Layanna's report a while back.

"You have something that we want, and we're here to take it!" Tobias replied, snapping his fingers after, creating a purple magic circle in the air, though it had an angle to it. "Demon's Lance!" From the magic circle, a spear completely composed of darkness magic shot out, slamming into the ground; the impact and explosion sending the crowd of guards hurtling in all directions with pained screams.

"Dammit…!" Lahar's eyes widened at Tobias' power, but he noticed he still had a good portion of guards left from the attack. "Ah, perfect! Capture them!" Lahar pointed his hand forward, and the guards pointed their various elemental magic staves forward, unleashing all kinds of elemental blasts on the two.

"Magic Guard!" Tobias shouted as he swiped his hand in the air, creating a magic seal that blocked both him and Ur from the elemental blast, leaving them unharmed after. Tobias then looked at Ur with a comically angered face. "Are you just going to stand there!?"

"Oh…yeah, I'm supposed to get involved…" Ur yawned slightly before sliding her fist into her palm, a chilling wind floating around the entrance of the magic council, causing those standing to visibly shiver. "Ice Make…" Ur started as the wind began to pick up. "Rose Fury!" Ur threw her hands forward, and a blue magic seal appeared in front of the ice make mage, unleashing sharp roses similar to Ice Make Lance/Freeze Lancer.

"Not so fast, Ur…" Lahar said as he waved his hand in the air, creating runes around he and his men that specifically denied any type of ice make magic to pass through, to which the roses shattered on contact with the runes, causing a slight sneer to appear on Ur's face.

"Oh…that's how it's going to be…?" Ur asked as she slid her other fist into her other palm, readying herself for another Ice Make Spell.

"Don't worry about those…" Tobias chuckled as he held his hand out, a heavenly glow appearing as his signature sword appeared. "I've been practicing with these…" With a smirk, Tobias pointed his sword forward at the runes, and a magic beam shot out from the tip of his sword. Tobias moved his sword around, using it as a pen to scramble the runes around, eventually canceling them out, much to Lahar's surprise.

"He disabled the runes?!" Lahar asked with shock in his voice.

"Ice Make: Cannon!" Ur shouted, holding her arms up as a large ice cannon appeared in her arms. She aimed the large cannon at Lahar and his men, a smirk on her face. "Click." Ur whispered, and sent a large ice blast hurtling towards Lahar and his men; in the second the impact occurred, a large icy explosion destroyed about 30% of the building.

"HAYAHAHAHA!" Zancrow's laughed echoed through the building, his black flames surrounding his body. "Oh, it's been so long since I've gotten to kill someone!" Zancrow turned around with his hit lit in black fire; the god slayer then hurled the ball of flames at the incoming group of guards, laughing manically at the explosion and the cries of pain. "YES! YES! MORE!"

"That's enough!" Correll shouted as he ran into the room, glaring at Zancrow. "Ugh, you again..."

"Oh? You're the one who was how they say, "bodied" by Kain, correct?" Zancrow asked with cocky grin on his face.

"Oh, you're asking for it now," Correll replied as magic circles appeared on his fist, causing them to increase in size by about three times, and he entered a boxing-like stance. "I hope you enjoyed this, because you'll be away for quite a long time for even giving me that look."

"Oh, I'd love to burn you to a crisp!" Zancrow replied, allowing his black flames to surround his arms as he and Correll charged forward towards each other. Zancrow threw a flaming right hook at Correll, but the captain's boxing background served well here as he easily swayed from the punch, aiming a powerful fist in counter to Zancrow's midsection, but Zancrow's mastery in hand to hand combat would prove to match Correll's background, as the god slayer brought his forearm up, blocking the hit with ease, though he slid back because of the large fist. "Weak," Zancrow replied, throwing his knee into Correll's gut, causing the captain to bend over, Zancrow then finished the combat by throwing his flaming fist into Correll's face, causing the third captain to tumble across the floor before hopping up.

"Tch…" Correll shook his head, shaking off the impact and whatever sensation he could from the burns. With a smirk, Correll snapped his fingers, creating a magic seal under Zancrow's body. The magic seal increased the gravity on the Flame God Slayer, resulting in Zancrow falling to a knee, weighed down by the gravity, which caused a smirk to appear on Correll's burnt face.

"G-Gravity…" Zancrow growled as he attempted to push himself up, but he was having a hard time in doing so. "I fucking hate gravity…"

"Something wrong, all might god slayer?" Correll asked in a taunting tone. Correll drew his fist back, throwing it forward once again towards the God Slayer, knowing the gravity would ensure a hit with his Titan's Fist. But, to his surprise, roots shot up from the ground in front of Zancrow, protecting him from the attack, and Correll drew his fist back. "W-What now!?" Correll looked around, only to see a shadow walking from a nearby hallway; Azuma.

"Azuma?!" Zancrow shouted, clearly in just as much surprise as Correll. "I thought that assassin took you down all that time ago!?"

"Not entirely true…" Azuma replied to Zancrow, completely ignoring Correll's presence for the time being. Azuma lifted his shirt up, revealing the scar left from Skye's scythe. "It is true I lost the battle, but my body was brought here after, and instead of killing me right then and there, they decided to place me in a cell that would keep me alive until the poison was removed. That wouldn't have been for a while…but an interesting person came by and healed me not too long ago…"

"This is just perfect…" Correll groaned to himself as he now stood across from Zancrow and Azuma.

.

.

"This is an annoyance…" Odin groaned as he stood across from the two embodiment mages, Rustyrose and Kiora.

"Alright, I'm going to give you a chance here, Rusty," Kiora said over to Rustyrose. "Don't fuck this up, and I'll give you an hour break."

"I feel like that's not going to be the case in the end…" Rustyrose mumbled to himself, but he went with it anyway. "Alright, fine…this old rose still has sharp thorns, and the Council will bear witness to it!" Rustyrose grinned slightly, snapping his fingers as a cannon appeared in front of him, the one he used during his battle with Luke, Heather, Sting, and Rogue. "Bang bang!" Rustyrose shouted, pulling the string on the cannon, which released a mixture of lightning, poison, light, and darkness in Odin's direction.

"O-Barrier!" Odin shouted as he spread his arms out, creating a high-pressurized barrier of oxygen in front of him; though the barrier was powerful, it only barely managed to hold against Rustyrose's attack, shattering a few seconds after. "Damn…"

"Pathetic…" Kiora sighed.

"What's pathetic…" Odin started as a white magic circle appeared; the circle began to suck in the oxygen in the room. "Is that fact you think you can defeat someone who controls the very air you breathe…"

"Oh, I thought he was actually gonna do something half menacing…" Kiora yawned, and as she did so, a magic seal appeared over her mouth, which placed a kind of mask over her face, retaining any oxygen; a small oxygen tank, to be precise.

"Indeed…" Rustyrose nodded in agreement, following suit with Kiora, using his imagination to form the same mask. "He has quite the imagination, doesn't he?"

"What…?" Odin's eyes widened slightly as Rustyrose and Kiora stood there with the masks, unaffected by the oxygen depletion.

Maggie yawned; highly unimpressed with the speed and performance Doranbolt was giving her. With her Lava body activated Doranbolt's high speed strikes only phased through her, and burned him as well. "Come on love…" Maggie said while sighing, already knowing the captain wasn't going to get anywhere. "You're not gettin' anywhere with this…and you're only burnin' yourself."

Doranbolt ignored Maggie's words, crouching down into a running position once again. "Direct Line!" Doranbolt's body vanished, and in the next instant, he appeared in front of Maggie with his fist pulled back, using his momentum to throw it forward, but before it could connect, Maggie grabbed his fist.

"Okay, I'm growing rather bored of this game…" Maggie groaned, pivoting on her left foot and hurled Doranbolt at the nearest wall, causing a grunt of pain to escape his lips. Before the captain could react, Maggie turned her arm into a lava whip, wrapping it around Doranbolt's waist, and promptly swung him around like a rag doll for a few minutes before throwing him harshly on the ground. "Tobias could've made this a little more entertaining…but I suppose I can have a little fun with you, eh?" Maggie's bored expression turned into a sadistic grin as she eyed the currently helpless Doranbolt.

Daityas calmly walked into the prison area; not a trail of dead bodies behind him. Why? Because they were incinerated; not a trace was left aside from the outlines of the burnt bodies, and he didn't even use that much magic. Daityas made his way over to the cells where Kain, Bluenote, and Hades were sitting in. "Ah…there you are." Daityas said while shaking his head. "Since you are human, I will allow this one mistake to pass."

"Ah…Daityas…" Hades said while looking up at the demon slayer. "It's been some time…I was beginning to think you were not coming back for us."

"I brought you back, so I obviously have plans for you and your lackeys later," Daityas replied allowing red flames to cover his hand.

"He came back for us! I wonder if those wonderful ladies did too…!" Kain shouted.

"Quiet…" Bluenote ordered Kain.

Before Daityas could actually break the cages, a quick shadow dashed by, slashing his arm, and as a result, froze it over with black ice. "..." Daityas didn't seem too bothered by this, as his arm lit up once again, causing the ice to shatter in an instant. Dait turned to see who had the audacity to attack him while he wasn't paying attention, only to see Layanna standing across from him with her sword, Black Ice, equipped.

"Don't touch that cell." Layanna commanded.
