Isekai'd as the new French Miraculous Superhero Team.
Chapter 46: The Collector vs. Merchant.
(Quantic Universe Earth 19274729568301958374, Paris, France, February 18th, 2016, third person POV...)
In Master Fu's massage shop, Master Fu is meditating with Wayzz floating beside him.
Master Fu suddenly smiles.
Wayzz asks, "Master, are you okay?"
Master Fu answers, "They're both here, just as she said so."
Marinette knocks on the door and Wayzz flies off to hide inside the phonograph holding the Miracle Box.
Marinette, Tikki, Adrien, and Plagg enter the massage shop.
Master Fu remarks, "Hello, Ladybug and Cat Noir."
The foursome completely comes in and the door gently closes behind them.
Marinette then says, "Master Fu, sorry for not contacting you sooner, but the time is now."
Master Fu frowns as he says, "I see."
Adrien then asks, "When were you going to tell me about this, Marinette?"
Marinette answers, "I wanted to tell you earlier, but there would've been a 75% chance that if you knew about Master Fu sooner, if Hawk Moth noticed either of us or even both of us leaving to recruit some temporary heroes for our team multiple times in a row, he might start trying to coordinate our patterns to discern Master Fu's general location. Especially if Hawk Moth decided to have either himself or Mayura follow either of us or both of us in person."
Master Fu remarks, "Your paranoia aside, that was definitely wise, Marinette."
Marinette then says, "But believe me, Adrien, unlike my chronological counterparts, I knew where to draw the line when it comes to keeping secrets. So, I'm sorry for keeping this a secret from you, Adrien, but rest assured, I don't intend to make this a habit."
Adrien hugs Marinette while saying, "I understand, Mari."
Tikki then says, "You must see what we discovered, Master."
Marinette explains while handing Master Fu the grimoire, "Adrien found this grimoire about the Chinese Zodiac Miraculouses in his father's safe behind a painting of his wife, Mrs. Emilie Agreste."
Plagg adds, "And this painting of Adrien's mother also holds buttons that, when pressed into two separate combinations, can take anyone through a single person elevator into Hawk Moth's lair and into Gabriel's repository, where he holds Mrs. Agreste's preserved corpse."
Adrien adds while carefully holding the Peacock Miraculous, "And based on what I was taught about your past, Master, apparently the Peacock Miraculous got damaged by overexposure to the molten lava stream that your Sentimonster fell into when you ran away from it."
As Master Fu looks at the Peacock Miraculous in shock, Wayzz exclaims, "Oh, my gosh! The Peacock Miraculous! It's Duusu!"
Master Fu gently takes the Peacock Miraculous and says, "It is a good thing it is still in a good condition. But a broken Miraculous jewel is too dangerous to use, particularly and especially to a human being."
Adrien answers as he explains, "I know. But the thing is, the reason why my father took up the identity of Hawk Moth is to steal our Miraculouses to revive my mother. You see, when my father's secretary and future partner in crime, Nathalie Sancoeur, found the two Miraculouses in Tibet due to her past as a treasure hunter, my mother used the Peacock Miraculous to give birth to me as a growing fetus because she was born infertile."
Master Fu and Wayzz looked shocked at what Adrien had to confess.
Master Fu then asks, "You are... a Sentimonster?"
Adrien takes a breath as he answers, "Yes. And at the same time that my mother used the Peacock Miraculous, my uncle Colt Fathom used the Peacock Miraculous to impregnate my aunt and my mother's twin sister Amelie Graham de Vanily to give birth to my cousin Felix because my aunt was also born infertile. However, when Uncle Colt realized that using the Peacock Miraculous in its damaged state only once left him with fifteen years left to live, he abused Felix while making it no secret that he wasn't 100% human, making sure Felix never got any happiness in his first fifteen years of life whatsoever."
Master Fu and Wayzz looked horrified at what Adrien had said about his dead uncle, even if it was true.
Marinette hands Adrien some green tea, and he takes a sip.
Marinette then says, "And in addition to that, Gabriel is aware that using our Miraculouses to summon Gimmi the Kwami of Reality to make his wish to revive Mrs. Agreste will come with a price and will result in the world having to be destroyed to give birth to a new one, but unfortunately, unless he sees for himself how much his actions have molded Adrien and unless Gabriel sees for himself that his actions have consequences that his wife would be all too happy to point out in a future terrorist trial, Gabriel won't listen to reason. And even though my canon counterparts made him see reason, my counterparts detransforming in the middle of the final battle allowed Gabriel to Venom her and steal the two Miraculouses to succeed in his mission at that time to revive both Mrs. Agreste and Nathalie from the dead with his own life sacrificed in exchange, but not before he convinced my counterparts to keep silent about his crimes and his unified final victory and final defeat to everyone, including Adrien. And it was especially because Adrien was taken to a white room prison without his Miraculous in London where Gabriel planned to force Adrien to date Kagami Tsurugi for the publicity of his and her mother's business corporations' partnership."
Master Fu and Wayzz instantly took sips of their own green tea in order to calm their nerves.
Adrien adds further, "And next to that, because of the way Felix was born and because of the way he was abused before Uncle Colt finally died, Felix will stop at nothing to get his hands on Gabriel's ring and the Peacock Miraculous so he can secure his existence. But we also plan to secure Gabriel's ring to secure my own existence until we can find some way to make myself and Felix 100% human to avoid any of the casualties that come with being born as a Sentimonster."
Master Fu then raises a hand for silence as he says, "I think that much information will do for now."
Marinette and Adrien nod in unison.
Tikki then asks, "Marinette? Is something unrelated on your mind right now?"
Marinette answers, "Well, if this was any other situation, I'm pretty sure that Adrien and I would point out to each other that this was similar to a cartoon show or movie about superheroes, specifically in the sense that this hour on the day we met the second Hawk Moth would be the part where the heroes of the story finally acquired the intel they need to save the world long enough for peace to reign supreme. And to think that Adrien and I are in such a position, well, it hadn't really struck me like an imaginary lightning bolt."
This prompted Adrien, Tikki, Plagg, Master Fu, and Wayzz to burst out laughing.
Marinette shook her head fondly.
Master Fu then says, "I did meet Marinette seven years ago, and she informed me of the situations we're in right now, and I did meet you on your shared first day at school, and neither of them were chance meetings either."
Adrien experiences a flashback of himself helping Master Fu.
Adrien replies, "I remember you now! You're the old man I helped off the ground when you took a tumble."
Master Fu then says, "Marinette, you are always ready to help others no matter the situation. And Adrien, you are so selfless despite your chains and your father being in possession of your amok, and you're so selfless that you're willing to help others as well. But that is not all. You are respectively a strategist and a warrior, more than suitable for the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses. I knew on those two separate days, in those very moments, that you both would be worthy to be Ladybug and Cat Noir."
Adrien then asks, "But why us, Master Fu?"
Master Fu stands up and guides Marinette and Adrien to the phonograph before inputting the code to unveil the Chinese Zodiac Miracle Box.
Tikki answers, "Master Fu is one of the last remaining members of the Order of the Guardians! As one of the last surviving members of the Order of the Guardians, it is partially Master Fu's duty to bestow Miraculous jewels to worthy heroes to protect the world in times of war and other kinds of dangers!"
Wayzz flies out of the phonograph and says as Master Fu's superiors and fellow Guardians emerge, "Master Fu is one of the few remaining Guardians of the Miraculouses, as well as Grandmistress Sahna. I'm Wayzz, Master Fu's kwami. It's nice to see you again, Marinette, and it's nice to meet you at last, Adrien."
Marinette replies, "It's good to see you as well, Wayzz."
Adrien adds, "Nice to meet you too, Wayzz."
Grandmistress Sahna then says, "I am Grandmistress Sahna, one of Master Fu's superiors."
A male Guardian with black hair in a short ponytail and a Van Dyke beard then says, "I am Master Lu Wuhan, one of Master Fu's other superiors."
A female Guardian with blue hair in a Japanese ponytail then says, "I am Mistress Guo Ning, another one of Master Fu's superiors."
A second male Guardian with red hair in a ponytail and braid along with a Santa Claus beard says next, "I am Master Mao Zhenya, another one of Master Fu's superiors."
A second female Guardian with white hair in an American style braid then says, "I am Mistress Geng Yi, another one of Master Fu's superiors."
A third male Guardian with gray hair growing after the latest shave and no facial hair says next, "I am Master Xiang Chao, another one of Master Fu's superiors."
A third female Guardian with brown hair in a Spanish ponytail then says, "I am Mistress Gao Xuegang, another one of Master Fu's superiors."
A fourth male Guardian with dirty blonde hair growing to shoulder length and a Morgan Spurlock beard and mustache says next, "I am Master Huang Mu, another one of Master Fu's superiors."
A fourth female Guardian with green hair in a French braid and ponytail then says, "I am Mistress Fan Chao, another one of Master Fu's superiors."
A fifth male Guardian with white hair in a braid and with a short Jewish style beard and mustache says next, "I am Zhu Gengxin, one of Master Fu's assistants."
A fifth female Guardian with orange hair in a Hindu bun then says, "I am Mistress Hao Zemin, another one of Master Fu's assistants."
A sixth male Guardian with midnight blue hair in a similar shade to Marinette's hair and a beard commonly found on elderly men says next, "I am Master Qiu He, one of Master Fu's councilors."
A sixth female Guardian with chocolate brown hair in a pixie cut then says, "I am Mistress Zou Xiang, another one of Master Fu's councilors."
A seventh male Guardian with jet black hair in a ponytail and a wizard beard and mustache says next, "I am Master Liao Xiuying, one of Master Fu's trainers."
A seventh female Guardian with red hair in a bob cut then says, "I am Mistress Mo Qigang, another one of Master Fu's trainers."
An eighth male Guardian with blonde hair and a Van Dyke beard combined with a Santa Claus beard says next, "I am Master Yao Xia, one of Master Fu's advisors."
An eighth female Guardian with purple hair in a buzz cut then says, "I am Mistress Wu Yan, another one of Master Fu's advisors."
A ninth male Guardian with platinum blonde hair in a Chinese braid and a Chinese beard says next, "I am Master Li Jian, one of Master Fu's recruiters."
And finally, a ninth female Guardian with light blonde hair in a Spanish bun concludes, "And I am Mistress Long Xiu, another one of Master Fu's recruiters."
The eighteen elder Guardians say in unison, "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you." "It's nice to meet the two of you."
Marinette replies, "Simply a pleasure."
Adrien replies as well, "Nice to meet you all as well."
Master Fu explains, "We guardians are responsible for protecting the Miraculouses from harm and from anyone who would wish to abuse them for evil gains, as well as distributing the Miraculouses for the good of all humanity. We are chosen in childhood and trained for many years, particularly for this mission above all else. When I was about your age, well, you already know about my mistake that resulted in the Guardians disappearing off the face of the Earth. Two of the Miraculouses were lost that day, the Butterfly and the Peacock. Also gone forever was the ancient spellbook."
Adrien then inquires, "But it only has pictures and strange symbols that can't be translated by modern technology that easily. Are you telling me that this is in codes?"
Master Fu answers, "Indeed it is. Back in the olden days, I was never granted the permission to even have a look at it. But, thanks to Marinette's input and her powers, as well as our new Guardian Council, I was able to gain the advanced intellect needed to translate the entire thing. This book will unveil secrets and spells capable of giving your entire team and your numbers of recruits and auxiliary teammates extra superpowers that we haven't discovered until now. That is the obvious reason why this book is invaluable."
In the Agreste mansion, Adrien's clone concludes his explanation, "So therefore, I was unable to stop the thief from stealing the book and the brooch despite how much karate and Kung-Fu I've learned over the years."
Gabriel Agreste says in response, "Hmm. I see. Thank you for being honest with me, Adrien. I'm sorry that I was unable to help you in getting my property back."
Nathalie then asks, "Are you recovering well, Adrien?"
Adrien's clone answers, "Well, because of what you taught me about taking care of injuries before I was sent to school, I'm recovering, slowly but surely. Although, I'll just leave the task of apprehending intruders to my bodyguard and to Dad's security guards from now on."
Gabriel replies before saying, "That is a good choice, Adrien. Please practice your piano playing; I'll have lunch ready for you by the time you're finished."
Adrien's clone replies back, "Yes, Dad."
Nathalie closes out her security access screen before following Gabriel out of Adrien's bedroom.
Adrien's clone then goes to his untraceable walkie-talkie and says, "Mike Leader, the plan is almost complete. I'm waiting for your signal now. Over."
Marinette replies, "Understood. Keep a close eye on him, and if you see him Akumatize himself into The Collector, get out of there quickly. Over and out."
Adrien's clone replies back, "Roger that. Over and out."
Adrien's clone hangs up and logs into his untraceable security access to see Gabriel and Nathalie in his atelier.
In Master Fu's massage shop, Master Fu says as he examines the Peacock Miraculous, "You were right, Adrien. Overexposure to molten lava damaged the Peacock Miraculous."
Adrien asks, "Is Duusu okay? Is she...?"
Master Fu answers, "Oh, Duusu is not dead; she is just hibernating to repair the Peacock Miraculous. Alone it could take years, but with the information in this grimoire, it could either be instantaneous or it could take two months."
Adrien then says, "But based on the intel I was given combined with my newly advanced intellect, I calculate that the brew needed to fix the Peacock Miraculous immediately consists of molten gold, meteorite dust, and a peacock feather."
Master Fu turns to the page explaining the brew needed and he remarks, "Well, I'll be a flying tinamou bird. With the resources we have, we can easily fix the Peacock Miraculous in no time."
Tikki, Plagg, Adrien, and Marinette sigh in relief in unison.
Master Fu then says, "However, this does answer the questions we've had about my suspicions that whoever owned the Peacock Miraculous and the spellbook would also own the Butterfly Miraculous, and we now have confirmation that Mr. Agreste is Hawk Moth."
Adrien and Marinette then took the time to explain to Master Fu about how they had the suspicion confirmed when Simon Says was Akumatized, when Gabriel showed interest in Adrien's ring while he was sleeping, as well as Ladybug's earrings during Simon Says' attack on the Agreste mansion, in addition to Ladybug's trap to make sure that Gabriel didn't remove the real earrings as part of a prank even though he didn't know that he was tricked.
Master Fu closes the book and says, "To think that there were three Miraculouses in that large house and to think he almost started suspecting your identity if it wasn't for Marinette's intuitiveness, foreknowledge, and resourcefulness."
Adrien inquires worriedly, "D-Does this mean I won't be Cat Noir anymore, Master?"
Even Marinette looked worried, as Master Fu revoking their Miraculouses for any reasons similar to the canon timelines and similar to all of the Adrien Bashing, worldwide identity reveal, Gabriel Agreste | Papillion | Hawk Moth Knows Adrien Agreste is Cat Noir, Gabriel Agreste | Papillion | Hawk Moth Knows Marinette Dupain-Cheng is Ladybug, and Marinette Bashing fanfiction timelines would mean Marinette and Adrien would never be able to fulfill their destinies as Co-Guardians of the Miracle Box, as the leaders of the new and improved French Miraculous Superhero Army, as overseas allies of Lady Dragon and the United Heroez, and as the superheroes who brought villains like Style Queen 2.0., Kwami Destroyer, Hawk Moth, Mayura, Hawk Moth II, Gold Record, Matagi Gozen, Queen Mayor, and so forth to prison and brought about a new golden age among the people of Earth.
Master Fu answers, "No, on the contrary. I have reason to believe that this is an incredibly rare opportunity to have intel supplied from the inside, but it is ultimately risky."
Plagg adds, "Tell me about it. This isn't the first time I had to deal with similar situations like this one."
Adrien questions, "Wait, you want me to spy on him despite Chloe already doing it for us?"
Master Fu answers, "Yes, and also no. You see, because of what Marinette said, unless we have the size-changing, self-sufficient fairyflies with the advantages that she described, spying on Hawk Moth is risky because of how paranoid he is. But you do know that he will stop at nothing to resurrect your mother, Adrien."
Adrien replies, "Yeah, that's true. But as much as I miss my mother, she's gone, and you can't bring back the dead that easily. I grieved her, and even though I miss her, I've moved on, unlike Gabi. And also unlike him, I'm not willing to sacrifice someone's life or the current universe to bring her back."
Meanwhile, in Gabriel's atelier, Gabriel is looking at the painting of Emilie Agreste when Nathalie asks him, "What will you do without the book?"
Gabriel opens a blank notebook then closes it before giving it to Nathalie as he replies, "You know where this goes."
Gabriel storms around the atelier as Nathalie walks towards the painting.
Gabriel grabs a picture of Adrien off the wall and throws it onto the floor, followed by a second picture of Adrien. He walks over to a small shelf in a cupboard, briefly looking at a drawing of Adrien, Gabriel, and Emilie that Adrien made when he was a little kid, before throwing that onto the floor as well.
In Adrien's bedroom, the Adrien clone is thoroughly watching the whole thing while simultaneously recording everything for the files against Gabriel.
Adrien's clone stands his ground and stays in the bedroom, watching and recording everything.
In the atelier, Gabriel throws a mannequin onto the floor, breaking it in twain. Then he proceeds to break another mannequin before heading off to break something else.
Then no more breaking sounds are heard as Gabriel heads to Hawk Moth's lair.
In Hawk Moth's lair, the window opens as Hawk Moth remarks more for show, "I feel... the wrath of a father angered by a burglary so thorough that even his security cameras can't find any clues about it. What a perfect prey for my Akumas!"
Hawk Moth makes an Akuma, and as it flies away, he says, "Stay close, my little Akuma!"
The Akuma flies towards the open window, but then it stops and hovers at the single opening.
Hawk Moth then says, "Nooroo, Dark Wings Fall!" and he transforms back into Gabriel Agreste.
Nooroo asks, "Uh, why is the Akuma still here?"
Gabriel removes his ascot to reveal the Butterfly Miraculous under it and answers, "I must become someone else to lead the French Miraculous Superhero Team astray."
Nooroo says, "I don't understand, Master."
Gabriel says, "Nooroo, I renounce you..."
He takes off the Butterfly Miraculous, making Nooroo get absorbed into it and changing the Butterfly Miraculous to its charged form.
He then puts the Butterfly Miraculous into a small box before finishing what he was saying, "...temporarily."
A spotlight shines onto his empty replacement notebook.
Gabriel walks over to the notebook, grabs it, and then opens it while saying, "Come to me, my little Akuma, and evilize me!"
The Akuma flies into Gabriel's notebook, turning him into The Collector.
The Collector remarks, "I am... the Collector! My book of inspiration has been taken from me, so I shall now build a new one! And perhaps pick up a Miraculous or four hundred while I'm at it!"
The Collector laughs maniacally in a different manner than when he laughs maniacally as Hawk Moth.
In Adrien's bedroom, Adrien's clone quickly logs out of his security access, puts away anything that can be traced, and immediately flies out of the bedroom via the open window before using his telepathic control over the remote to close the window.
Meanwhile, Nathalie is standing guard over the atelier doors when the Collector kicks the doors open and knocks Nathalie to the floor.
The Collector remarks as he sees Nathalie, "Ah, Nathalie! You'll be the first of my many inspirations to come!"
Nathalie questions in shock, "Mr. Agreste?!"
The Collector replies, "You will call me the Collector!"
The Collector swings his book at Nathalie and the book traps her inside of the pages.
Placide rushes down to confront the Collector, but his book instantly traps the muscle-bound bodyguard before he can do anything.
The Collector then goes up to Adrien's bedroom and knocks on the doors.
The Collector remarks, "Adrien... I have a great collection I want to show you."
The Collector kicks the doors open and sees what appears to be Adrien playing on the piano.
The Collector then starts to suspect something's up, so he goes closer to "Adrien," only to discover that Adrien is actually a hologram tied to a taser pistol, which fires a shot worth forty thousand volts, electrocuting the Collector into unconsciousness.
But then, the Collector, somehow having more resilience against electricity than the real Adrien thought, gets back up and swipes up the hologram projector and the taser pistol before growling in anger.
In Master Fu's massage shop, as Purple Streak Tenshizes one of Gabriel Agreste's competitors by the name of Jose Althape into Merchant with the ability to undo the Collector collecting things and people with his sketchbook by launching U.S. dollar signs at the sketchbook, Adrien looks at the camera in his phone focusing on the Collector leaving his bedroom, Adrien scowling at it.
Marinette then says, "Logically, we can't give back the Peacock Miraculous and the spellbook since he really is Hawk Moth."
Adrien says angrily, "I concur, my lady. Since he is Hawk Moth, who knows what he'll do with any form of information about how to upgrade his powers."
Master Fu then says as he retrieves his iPhone and laptop, "On the bright side, the only powers he's had up until now must be what he coerced out of Nooroo, the butterfly kwami. If Gabriel hasn't discovered anything else from Nooroo for over a year, then we have an advantage we must take advantage of discreetly."
Adrien inquires, "Are you saying we should give them back?"
Master Fu answers as he takes pictures of the grimoire and puts them into his laptop to put into a blank DVD, "The one thing we will require in this war against Hawk Moth is trust. Ah, the wonders and magics of modern technology really does astound the mind."
Adrien questions again, "Well, that's one problem solved. But what about the Peacock Miraculous?"
Plagg adds, "Yeah, I mean, he'll know right away if we give him a fake Peacock Miraculous, right?"
Marinette answers, "Not unless he notices on Heroes' Day when Nathalie reports to him that Duusu didn't appear the instant she puts the brooch on after deakumatizing herself to save him from being arrested. And not unless either of them looks closely at the back of the fake brooch to see the date in which the brooch was invented by Gabriel's company if we didn't use rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip to remove the pen engravings. Along with that, even if we had a fake spellbook looking and feeling exactly like the real thing, we'd have to approach it with extreme caution because Gabriel will instantly know that the fake spellbook is fake if he even sees any forms of falsified information from the pictures to the Guardian codes."
Master Fu opens the Miracle Box to retrieve the real Fox Miraculous and says, "This is the Fox Miraculous, which grants the power to cast illusions."
Tikki remarks, "Oh, now I see! With the Fox Miraculous, we can create a small illusion on a fake Peacock Miraculous just enough for Mr. Agreste to believe that it's the real one."
Adrien snaps his fingers as he says to signify that he now knows what the plan is, "And since he just keeps it locked up in his safe without having to ask Nathalie to do regular maintenance on the safe, then the illusion doesn't have to hold out for longer than necessary!"
Master Fu answers before saying, "Yes indeed. It is a very risky plan, so for now, I will hold on to the Fox Miraculous to make it work."
He puts on the Fox Miraculous and summons Trixx, the fox kwami.
Master Fu remarks, "Hello, Trixx."
Trixx nods before saying as soon as he sees Marinette and Adrien, "Oh, the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous users! Nice to finally meet you both."
Marinette remarks, "The feeling's mutual."
Meanwhile, at the Louvre, civilians are taking pictures, unaware that the Collector is about to strike.
August's mother says as she's about to take a picture of two men, "Cheese!"
But then, the Collector's notebook traps the Louvre pyramid into the pages, causing mass panic.
Inside the Louvre, the Collector traps the painting of the Mona Lisa in his book.
Outside, at the Trocadéro, the Collector's book traps Jagged Stone and his crocodile Fang.
At the TVi studios, Nadia Chamack starts to say her latest news report, "Don't be bemused, it's just the news. I'm Nadia Chamack – "
But she doesn't finish as she gets absorbed into the Collector's book.
In Master Fu's massage shop, Marinette, Adrien, and Master Fu get the Akuma Alerts on their phones, and they see the Collector as he says, "Since the book that used to fill my life for years is gone, I'm going to use your lives to fill up this new one! Catch you on the flip-flop!"
The Collector swipes at the camera filming him, cutting off the transmission.
Marinette says, "One would think that if he wanted to lead us astray from discovering his Hawk Moth persona, he'd have a way better idea for what he should look like as the Collector and/or as Nightormentor."
Adrien then asks, "And you said that he Akumatized himself by making an Akuma first before temporarily revoking his hold over the Butterfly Miraculous, right, my lady?"
Marinette replies, "Yes, I did say that."
Master Fu then says, "You must purify Mr. Agreste's Akuma, then return here so we can clear you both of any suspicions."
Marinette then says, "And logically speaking, we shouldn't discuss anything about our discovery or our plans, because he might discover our identities or try to go into hiding and try to take you with him into hiding."
Adrien replies, "Understood."
Marinette and Adrien say in unison, "Tikki, Spots On!" "Plagg, Claws Out!"
At the Hotel de Ville, Mayor Bourgeois starts to say his speech, "People of Paris – "
But he doesn't finish as he gets absorbed into the Collector's book.
Lieutenant Raincomprix and many civilians gasp in shock and horror as they see what just happened.
On the rooftops near the Eiffel Tower, the Collector throws his book across the tower, trapping it inside the pages and returning to him like a boomerang.
The Collector remarks, "Nothing can truly inspire me even better than trapping Ladybug and Cat Noir inside of these pages forever."
The Collector then spots the French Miraculous Superhero Team combined with Merchant flying to his mansion and he says, "Hmm, what could they be up to?"
In Gabriel's atelier, Scarlet Reynard snarls, "If he thinks that destroying his own property while throwing a tantrum like a five year old kid is gonna solve his problems, he's got another thing coming."
Ladybug eyes Cat Noir, who picks up the smashed picture of his drawing, and he sighs with grief, anger, and heartache.
Terrorsaur then says, "If it wasn't for our intel, this mess would've looked like a fight had happened, and Gabriel Agreste isn't exactly the physically confrontational type."
Cat Noir says as he puts the picture back in its place, "We gotta check in on Adrien Agreste. He might know what happened here."
Ladybug replies, "Excellent idea, kitty."
The superhero team runs out into the foyer, but they see the Collector on the top of the staircase.
Cat Noir remarks, "Let me guess: you named yourself after a Marvel Comics supervillain?"
The Collector scoffs, "Haha! Yeah, right! I'm one of a kind! I am the true Collector!"
Merchant throws his dollar sign shurikens at the Collector, and the shurikens instantly empty the Collector's book, long enough for Placide to punch the Collector into the wall, knocking him out cold.
Ratbat then says, "Let's hope he knows how to pretend to have amnesia when he wakes up."
Ladybug destroys the sketchbook, purifies the Akuma, and uses her Miraculous Ladybug to return everything back to normal.
As the Collector slowly turns back into Gabriel Agreste, Master Fu contacts Ladybug with a text message that says, "I'm ready."
As the heroes get the text message simultaneously, they look at each other and nod before going their separate ways before Gabriel completely wakes up.
Adrien shows up as his father looks up, and Gabriel asks, "Adrien? What happened?"
Adrien answers, "You were Akumatized, Dad. But don't worry; the French Miraculous Superhero Team were able to purify you before you could cause any severe harm."
Gabriel hugs Adrien, and Adrien hugs him back.
As Adrien makes his way back to his bedroom, Gabriel remarks under his breath, "(Softly) See you all very soon!"
In Master Fu's massage shop, Marinette scoffs, "Ha! He thought that he could trick us that easily like he did in all of the mainstream chronological timelines? He's sadly mistaken. And by the time he realizes it, it'll already be too late."
Adrien replies, "Yeah, and I think it's best if he thought he tricked us, so that our plans to apprehend him on Heroes' Day proceed according to the last details."
Marinette unveils some lemon and oatmeal cookies for Tikki and some grilled Brie cheese sliders for Plagg.
Marinette then says, "Adrien... I'm – "
Adrien interrupts to say, "No, Marinette. Don't apologize for anything; there's nothing to be sorry for."
Marinette raises an inquisitive eyebrow, so Adrien clarifies, "If you think I'll turn Darth Vader or Talia Al Ghul for my father, you're wrong. My place is with you, no matter what fanfiction writers, Miraculous Ladybug critics, Thomas Astruc haters, or even any of the real world's Thomas Astruc's writers have to say about it. My place is with you, no matter if we knew each other's identities from the very beginning of our careers or after my father's final victories or final defeats. My place is by your side, fighting any supervillains created by him or created by popular ways supervillains are born. And even though I could try to go the Luke Skywalker route of talking him into listening to reason, your foreknowledge stated that even if he did listen to reason, he will still try to double-cross us at a moment of opportunity to make sure that he got the last laugh."
Marinette hugs Adrien before the twosome shares a brief twenty second kiss on the lips.
Marinette then says, "But all the same, we must put the plan into action."
Adrien nods and the twosome goes over to Master Fu.
The plan was easy and straightforward: going to the Agreste mansion with a fake spellbook and a fake Peacock Miraculous that looks the exact same as the real deal, including using rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip to clean off the pen ink date numbers on the brooch, and giving Gabriel an excuse about the thief being allied with Lila Rossi ready and waiting while Master Fu was transformed with the Fox Miraculous on the adjoining rooftop to cast the illusion solid enough for Gabriel to touch without the illusion dissipating long enough for Gabriel to put them in the safe.
Marinette then says, "And so, when we retrieved the book and the brooch before Lila and the other thief could find out anything else that nobody was supposed to know, Adrien got the idea for me to use the images in the book as inspiration for my future fashion design products for when I become a fashion designer later on in life. And we understand that we should've consulted you first, sir. Rest assured, Adrien and I know that next time, we will ask you first whenever you have the time."
Gabriel replies, "I see. And thank you for being understanding."
Gabriel puts the book and the brooch in the safe.
Adrien mentally tells Marinette while Gabriel still has his back turned, "Hahaha! He fell for it, hook, line and sinker! I guess you were right; despite his strategic brilliance in most situations, he's not always as smart as he looks."
Marinette discreetly nods in response.
Gabriel turns around and Adrien asks, "So, does this mean that we're in the clear?"
Gabriel answers, "Considering the fact that you two were looking out for each other and for my property, and considering that you wanted a reason to impress Marinette, I believe that no harm has been done."
Adrien replies, "Thank you, Dad."
He hugs his father, and Gabriel hugs him back.
Gabriel then says, "And Adrien, the next time you want to show your designer friend anything about the business, all you have to do is ask."
Adrien nods in understanding before saying, "Well, if our business is finished, Dad, we have a project to complete."
Gabriel asks, "And what is this project to finish, by any chance?"
Adrien answers, "A project about health care systems and health economic comparisons between the Western part of the world and the Eastern part of the world. Ms. Mendeleiev says that whoever completes this project without additional help from anyone other than their partners will get extra marks on their next report cards."
Gabriel smiles a bit before saying, "Then, by all means, proceed with haste."
Adrien and Marinette nod before going into Adrien's bedroom.
Then, after five minutes of working on the genuine article brought on in science class provided by their clones, Marinette and Adrien see Tikki and Plagg entering the bedroom without being spotted.
Plagg says, "We come bearing good news and bad news."
Adrien inquires, "The good news first?"
Plagg replies, "It worked. He fell for it without questioning anything or getting suspicious."
Tikki frowns as she adds, "The bad news is... your foreknowledge was correct. Gabriel Agreste is Hawk Moth."
The twosome then share secret Morse code messaging to signify that they were going to win this war one way or another, and that when Master Fu has enough of the spellbook decoded, he and Marinette are gonna find a way to revive Adrien's mother not only for his benefit, but also for attending Gabriel's trial and for raising Adrien the proper way.
In Gabriel's atelier, Gabriel is looking through pages of the Miraculous spellbook on his computer terminal.
Nathalie asks crossly, "If you had the pages of the spellbook saved, why go to all this trouble, especially by absorbing me into your book?!"
Gabriel answers coolly, "I did what I had to do to protect my secret."
Gabriel's eyes widened in terror as Nathalie strides up to him and slaps him hard in the face before kicking him in the nuts hard.
Gabriel groans in pain, knowing that his Miraculous enhancements, including nigh-invulnerability, don't work when he's not transformed into Hawk Moth without the Butterfly Miraculous.
Nathalie snarls, "This is strike one, Gabriel. If you go to strike two, I quit."
Nathalie storms off while Gabriel watches in astonishment.
Gabriel shakes off the pain, goes to his painting of Emilie Agreste, and he presses a six-button combination code that has to be pressed in unison, and the elevator takes him to Hawk Moth's lair.
In Hawk Moth's lair, Gabriel opens the box keeping the Butterfly Miraculous and Nooroo emerges.
Gabriel remarks sinisterly, "Happy to see me again?"
Nooroo remarks sharply, "At your service, Master."
Gabriel attaches the brooch to the collar of his dress shirt after removing his tie, and he says, "Nooroo, Dark Wings Rise!"
Nooroo is absorbed and Gabriel turns into Hawk Moth the exact same way he did in the first Stoneheart incident last year.
Hawk Moth grunts fiercely as the butterflies in his lair flutter around without aim or sense of landing.

You almost managed to discover who I really am, but now, I am more above and below suspicions than before. As of today, nothing will stop me from getting your Miraculouses, and making my greatest wish of reviving my wife come true! All I need to do for now is wait for my next prey. And then, it'll all be over in an instant! Hmhmhmhahahahahahahahahaha!"
In Marinette's bedroom, Marinette hears what Hawk Moth had to say, and she remarks, "Mwa hahahahahahahahahaha! That's what you think, you son of a (bleep!) Just like how you are above and below suspicions from the rest of the city, Adrien and I are more above and below suspicions on the list of suspects who took back what rightfully belongs to the Order of the Guardians. It's only a matter of time before we take back your Butterfly Miraculous and before we throw you, Nathalie, and Iris in La Santé Prison. And when we do, we'll free Adrien from your control, we'll make sure that Felix gets freed from anyone else's control, we'll make sure that your soon-to-be former wife divorces you and gets custody of Adrien, and we'll make sure that, among other things, Adrien will get the opportunity to meet your parents. Until Heroes' Day comes, all we have to do is wait, howsoever long it takes. And after we deal with Replay, Silurus, the Trash Krakken, and all of the season 2 Akumatized villains all the way to Heroes' Day, we'll make sure to execute the coup de grace, and have you, Nathalie, and Lila sent to prison for mass murder, mass destruction, attempted filicide, theft, terrorism, stalking, slavery, omnicide, kidnapping, assault, battery, child abuse, psychological abuse, child endangerment, trespassing, public endangerment, mass brainwashing, conspiracy, blackmail, torture, cyberterrorism, death threats, warmongering, indirect endangerment, murder by taking back Sentimonster Ladybug's Amokized feather, terrorism, conspiracy, aiding criminal activity, theft, sabotage, breaking and entering, blackmail, stalking, attempted omnicide, psychological abuse, theft, attempted murder, assault, vandalism, conspiracy, aiding and abetting, illegal impersonation, academic fraud, public endangerment, incrimination, attempted defamation, threats of violence, stalking, brainwashing, identity theft, and forgery respectively. And it doesn't matter if any of those future crimes haven't been committed in my timeline just because you three will be apprehended on Heroes' Day, and it doesn't matter if I have to show everyone all of your crimes from the original timeline to make the judges more convinced to throw you three in federal prison. Either way, unlike your canon counterparts, you will all suffer the consequences for your crimes against the order of things. And when the fun is done, the new future technologically and knowledge advanced Order of the Guardians and the French Miraculous Superhero Team will protect the people of Earth from any and all threats of the future, including all of our villainous counterparts similar to all of our fanfiction counterparts, similar to versions of your families and friends with the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculouses, similar to Iris' counterparts with the Butterfly, Ladybug, Fox, and Peacock Miraculouses, similar to my fanfiction Akumatized counterparts, similar to Adrien's fanfiction Akumatized counterparts other than Cat Blanc and Ephemeral, and similar to and other than Shadybug and Claw Noir, and including none other than Techno-Pirate, Ignoblia, and all of the other supervillains from other Jeremy Zag Cartoon Productions cartoons that may or may not be crossed over with our fanfiction multiverse and cartoon multiverse and movie multiverse in the real world in the foreseeable future by the year 2016 alone! The roof is gonna be blown off of our battle arena, and at the end, we will all emerge victorious!
Ahh hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!"
Marinette crosses off the Collector from her list and says, "Up next is Adam Amelineau, aka Replay. Ugh, I can't believe that somehow, if this current Miraculous Ladybug universe was a fanfiction in the Quadwal cluster, the episode chapters would include the Miraculous Ladybug webisodes, the Miraculous Chibi episodes, the Miraculous Rise of the Sphinx video game, and the Miraculous Adventures of Ladybug and Cat Noir comic book issues 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8, even though issues six and eight were never released even into the year 2023 after the finale of season 5, and probably won't ever see the light of day regardless of whether or not Jeremy Zag kept Thomas Astruc on his employment roster. And yet, if Adam does attack Adrien in the lacrosse game just because Adrien is a better lacrosse player than Adam is, I'll bust his chaps."
Marinette goes to sleep, as night has already fallen.
The End.
(Bonus scene: Marinette and Nathalie bond over Gabriel's stupidity. December 24th, Christmas Eve, 2031, third person POV...)
Marinette and Nathalie laughed heartily as Marinette said, "And then, if Gabriel had Akumatized a supervillain into a pure angelic superhuman who wishes to punish all evildoers, he would've been dead or imprisoned much faster than he can try to revoke the Akuma!"
Nathalie replies, "Hahahahahaha! And remember when Gabriel Akumatized that poor boy into a man with tickling tentacles? I could've sworn I was gonna pee myself when he tickle tortured me!"
Marinette replies with a shudder, "Ooh, yeah, I still have nightmares about that whole ordeal. And I almost peed myself because of me being tickled a lot."
Nathalie asks again, "And remember when the Tomoe from the primary timeline scolded our timeline's Gabriel for not considering stealing the Rooster Miraculous after finding out about its powers from Heroes' Day to heal Emilie?"
Marinette replies back before asking, "Hah! How could I forget that? And remember when one of Gabriel's counterparts tried to convince our Chloe to turn to his side like he did with one of her other counterparts in another take of the Miracle Queen episode?"
Nathalie snorts before answering, "Yeah, he was in for a large shock when Hazel impaled him at point blank range before double-tapping shooting him in the head. Man, the legal trouble we could've had if we hadn't provided visual evidence that the multiverse and the omniverse exist, thanks to your powers, foreknowledge, and near godlike encyclopedic intellect at our disposal."
Marinette cringes as she replies back, "Yeah, that one instance was real hot. Not gonna lie."
Nathalie then says, "Marinette, your flaws and your problems with the original timelines aside, I wish I could've had a daughter just like you, if I had had the sense to fall in love with a different man the instant Gabriel Akumatized Simon Grimault into Simon Says in an attempt to lead Simon Says and you kids astray from his Hawk Moth identity and in an attempt to steal your Miraculouses easier without having to get his hands dirty, but on a much more dirty level."
Marinette replies assuringly, "Well, if you pray to God earnestly enough every day and every night, He might make your prayer come true. After all, as I've learned in my past life raised in Christianity centuries and centuries before the Antichrist came to be, if you earnestly, genuinely, and persistently pray to God for good things that satisfy both of you, that work according to His plans for you, that work according to your desires and what He can do to make them even better, and that work according to both of your benefits, and if you're patient enough to wait for God's answer however long it takes, He will make your prayers come true. And if one of those prayers involves a God-sent boyfriend to date, marry in the future, and raise children with in the future, God will have to work meticulously and choose carefully who will be the best choice for you."
Nathalie nods before hugging Marinette.
Marinette hugs her new friend back, and then they started tickling each other, and even though Nathalie and Marinette respectively hate having their feet tickled, they actually enjoyed tickling each other because they knew that the other could be trusted.
Marinette and Nathalie eventually went into the main rooms of the Agreste Mansion to spend the rest of the Christmas Eve party with the people they loved.
And for the first time since seeing Adrien being born despite him being born as a humanoid Sentimonster, Nathalie was happy that she got this new life away from the life she would've thrown away for nothing like her canon counterparts before Canon Gabriel's final victories and final defeats in the new universe.
Nathalie linked hands with her brother and they hugged each other, reminiscing about the good times they had since they were reunited.
And Marinette and Adrien decided to share a dance on the dance floor with the other couples, married or otherwise.
And as Santa Claus flew over the city on his sleigh, even he could confidently say that peace has truly once again reigned supreme over the entire world.
The End.
(Author's notes: How do you like them apples? Yes, this was the first chapter in a slew of sixteen others to feature a bonus scene from the future, but I just couldn't think of bonus scenes for either of them, for now.
See you all in chapter 47 and webisode 9: Master Wang Fu.)
