Day of Anniversary...
Luz was busy preparing the final her students. Deciding which glyph combos they would be tested on when Edward walked in. "Hello professor Noceda." The boy said as he gave Luz a box. "What is this for?" Lus asked as she inspected the box."Well I wanted to give you something for being such a great teacher." Edward said as Luz opened the box to find a mug with #1 Teacher on it. "Oh, how kind of you." Luz said as she put the mug on her desk. At the moment the bell screamed " Well Edward you better get to class I will see you later." Luz said as Edward headed off to class…..
Later…
"Okay class it's time for your final exam." Luz said as the class groaned." Look, I know nobody likes exams but I have a reward if the class does well. I have consulted with the principal and she has given me the green light to show you the teleportation spell." Luz said, which caught the attention of the class. " Okay who wants to go first?" Luz said as the class raised their hands with real excitement. Looking at the class Luz picked a young girl no more than 13. The young witch approached Luz with her pen and
paper. "Alright let's start with the basics. Draw me the 4 glyphs." Luz said and one by one the girl drew each glyph. "Good now activate each one by one." Luz said and one by one the glyphs were activated showing each was drawn correctly. "Excellent, now show me some glyph combos." Luz asked, writing down the results on her clipboard. The girl again drew invisibility, mist ,safety hover and the tornado spells each one amazed Luz at how well the girl had absorbed her teachings. "Well done, you pass with flying colors."
Luz said as the girl smiled with excitement. "Okay next." Luz said and one by one the students went to the front of the class and showcased what they learnt and Luz was amazed. In spite of the perceived lack of interest they had picked up her lessons very well. "Well I have to say I'm impressed." Luz said, overlooking the result of the final exam. "Well a deal is a deal, gather around class as i will demonstrate the teleportation glyph combo. Now remember when using this spell it must be done with exact precision. Any mistake can have a drastic consequence." Luz said as she laid down a large paper to draw the combo on. "Can you explain what would go wrong?" One student
asked. "Of course. Improper line work will result in random teleportation. Putting a glyph in the wrong location can either depending on the type cause the spell to explode, cause a mutation or to blow up in your face. But don't worry nothing an expert healer can't fix and besides I am an expert." Luz said as she finished the glyph combo. "Alright
class gather around we need to be within a close proximity of the spell for it to work." Luz said as her students clustered onto the giant sheet of paper. "Now here we go." Luz said as she activated the glyph and the floor lit up before a blinding flash of light appeared and boom the class was now in the schools grudgby field. "And as you see class, that is the teleportation spell in action. With it you can go anywhere you think of. But remember to only use it if you are confident you can draw it properly." Luz said as she began to head back to the classroom her students applauded her…..
After School…
Luz had a few stops to make. First was to visit her mother in the human realm. Camila had helped Luz to store and prepare a pork shoulder to make Amity's fav human food pernil for their anniversary dinner. As well as a bottle of fine pinot noir to pair with the pork. As Luz approached the owl house door nobody was around. "Eda and Raine are probably on a date and King is most likely hanging with Steve." Luz said as she activated the door and within a second she stood outside her mothers house. The house once
left in decay had been bought and beautifully restored by Luz, Her mom and Vee. It was not an easy project but it was a family bonding experience she would never forget. As she walked into the living room her mother was there sitting on the couch watching an old episode of cosmic frontier. "Que lo que mami." Luz said. Camila was quick to turn around as see her daughter put a huge smile on her face. "Luz mija como estas?" Camila said, rushing over to give Luz a big hug. "Bien, mami. Bien y tú." Luz said. "Good to
hear. I assume you are here for your pork shoulder." Camila said as the two made their way to the kitchen. "And the wine mom. Don't forget the wine." Luz said as she went to the fridge to grab a soda. "So how was work?" Camila asked as she packed the seasoned uncooked pork shoulder in saran wrap into a backpack cooler. "The cling wrap might take off some of the seasonings you should add more sazon when you get home." Camila said as she noticed Luz was distracted. "Are you okay mija.?" Camila asked.
" I'm fine mom. Work was fine. The kids did well on their finals so I showed them the teleportation spell that's pretty much it." Luz said, trying to move on. "Luz something is bothering you." Camilia said concerned. "Well you see. Me and Amity want to have a baby." Luz said which shocked Camila. "Babies? Am I going to be a grandma?" Camila said with a smile on her face. " Well not yet. We decided to look into it after we found out Hunter and Willow are having a baby. But the thing is I want it to be a baby from
both of us and I was hoping the boiling isles would have a solution for us but we haven't found anything yet and Amity has suggested we find a donor." Luz said as she sat down in a kitchen chair. "Well I don't know anything about magic but I do know compromise is key to a healthy marriage. Look if you find a solution that's good, if not it's okay to have a donor." Camila said, helping Luz put on the cooler backpack. "I guess you're right mom." Luz said, giving her a big hug. " Well, I'd love to stay and chat but I've got a dinner to prepare. Tell Vee and Masha I said hi." Luz said as she went back through the portal door and made her way home….
