Isekai'd as the new French Miraculous Superhero Team.
Chapter 47: Master Wang Fu.
(Quantic Universe Earth 19274729568301958374, Paris, France, February 19th, 2016, third person POV...)
As Marinette types in her computer journal while Tikki writes the exact same things being typed on the computer, Marinette narrates, "Marinette's journal. February 19th, 2016. Remember when Tikki's first clone got sick just last year during the day of the Magician of Misfortune incident and just hours before the Princess Fragrance incident took place on the exact same day? Well, since I hadn't yet trained any of my clones on how to heal kwamis, Tikki's clone Ammyy had to be taken to a vet, aka Master Wang Fu. And I'm not gonna lie, that was a very scary thing for my counterparts in the original timelines because they weren't smart enough to deduce Master Fu's identity and ranking in our team."
In a secret scene from Princess Fragrance vs. Aroma Rose, Fanette is in Master Fu's massage shop, watching him heal Ammyy.
Master Fu then says, "How did Ammyy wind up with a cold?"
Fanette answers, "I think it had something to do with the fact that not every Miraculous wearer's suit of armor is one hundred percent waterproof."
Master Fu remarks, "Mm-hmm. This could easily pose a problem."
Fanette replies, "Yes, and I think Marinette would think so too."
Master Fu picks up a gong and bangs it.
Then he says, "We are finished. Ammyy's health has been restored."
Marinette continues narrating as she types her journal, "But it turns out, to the people watching at home, I had known Master Fu ever since I met him seven years ago. And yeah, I hadn't even needed to pass his test because I advised him to do background checks on the people of the city, including legally registered schoolchildren, in order to better evaluate who would be worthier of using a Miraculous jewel and being recruited into the French Miraculous Superhero Team. Simply because, as I pointed out, there's no telling if the person who passes the judge of character tests is a good person at heart or if they're not. And if the latter was correct, Master Fu would've made a mistake that he would have to clean up himself."
In a flashback from Volpina vs. Clairvoyance, Marinette, Tikki, Adrien, and Plagg enter Master Fu's massage shop.
Marinette narrates, "I had formally introduced Adrien to my benefactor yesterday, after we took care of the lying basket case, Lila Rossi, also known as Cerise, Iris Verdi, Volpina, Chameleon, Hoaxer, and Hawk Moth II in the future if we fail to apprehend her, Gabriel, Nathalie, Tomoe, Bob, Xavier-Yves, Cash, his thugs, Techno-Pirate, and Ignoblia permanently."
Tikki says, "Master Fu is one of the last remaining members of the Order of the Guardians! As one of the last surviving members of the Order of the Guardians, it is partially Master Fu's duty to bestow Miraculous jewels to worthy heroes to protect the world in times of war and other kinds of dangers!"
Marinette narrates, "Yeah, basically, Master Fu has been given the biggest responsibility of this sector of the Omniverse: he's the one who guards over the Chinese Zodiac Miraculouses, tasked with protecting them from not only Hawk Moth and any of his allies, even temporary ones like Techno-Pirate or Cash, but also to assign them to worthy heroes to protect our city and perhaps the world if we want to go bigger on that."
As flashbacks from 1844, 1942, 2009, 2013, and The Team Forms: Origins Part 1, Marinette narrates, "You remember the old man that my 1,983 new friends I made in this timeline, with the inclusion of my old world BFF Hazel Habgood as Chloe Bourgeois, had met and trained with in the ways of his former benefactors to prepare for the days when we would be needed to defeat the scripts for the final releases of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir from seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 all the way to seasons 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12?
Well, we had not only educated him about the future within certain limits, but we also educated him about his incompetence as a Guardian and as a mentor to my counterpart and Adrien's counterpart in the original timeline, and look where that partially led to my counterpart and everyone else's counterparts all the way to Re-creation: The Last Day Part 2. But of course, Master Fu gave me a series of improvisational tests – using the technology we gave him while avoiding suspicions from the neighbors and the landlords – to see if we were worthy of becoming Miraculous users, even though some of the ones who are named after specific Autobots and Decepticons from Transformers that transform into vehicles rather than Earth animals either had to be given animal and insect-themed Miraculouses that reflect what their namesakes embody in spirit and physical skills or they had to be given the ability to take up Iron Man-style battlesuits looking like their namesakes through special Tony Stark-level watches that can summon their armors like the nanotechnology Iron Man used for his suits Marks 50 to 85 from Captain America: Civil War to Avengers: Endgame, specifically if there aren't any more Miraculous jewels from this timeline or all across the Quantic Multiverse that can be found or manifested into existence through the Sublimation superpower of the Rooster Miraculous.
Either way, me and my comrades passed the tests, which were nothing short of lighthearted to serious-minded tests that can only be described as the tests that superhero groups and armies like the Autobots, the Maximals, the Justice League, the Avengers, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Hamato Clan, and so forth would have to pass to prove themselves worthy of such honors while being given second chances to make even better efforts, because as I said to Master Fu, almost everyone deserves a second chance; it just depends on how mentally healthy and physically healthy the person in question really is, it depends on how well reformed they were after serving time, and it depends on whether or not they think they're capable of being good.
And besides that, we had also used the Rooster Miraculous' Sublimation combined with my wishing power shared among my masses to give us the advantages in terms of superpowers, resources, and so forth that both the French Miraculous Superhero Team and the Opposition of Supervillains – Hawk Moth's team name that was tossed around a bit before being discontinued from describing Hawk Moth and his somewhat small number of allies – either have in most mainstream and fanfiction timelines or didn't have in any Miraculous Ladybug timelines whatsoever. And anyway, besides the way he was portrayed in the original timeline, Master Fu is incredible. Despite being one hundred and eighty-six and a half, he looks younger then he should be, he's strong for his age, he's tactful enough to become a somewhat easy-going master of modern technology, he's strategic enough to come up with contingency plans for if he and the Miracle Box's location become compromised, and even for his age, he is at times still agile.
Originally, his back would be giving him a hard time for trying to transform into Jade Turtle with the Turtle Miraculous, but thanks to my powers, he not only has his youth restored, he also has immortality, he also has become bigger and muscular, he also has the supernatural abilities of strength, speed, agility, reflexes, equilibrium, enhanced vision, nigh-invulnerability like Superman, enhanced hearing, enhanced smell, enhanced taste, enhanced touch, and even an immunity to being Akumatized or having a Sentimonster manifest as long as any versions of the Butterfly Miraculous and the Peacock Miraculous are in the hands of villains like Gabi Grassette, Nathalie Sancoeur, Iris Verdi, and so forth.
It's kind of similar to a fanfiction take on regardless of whether or not my newly unlocked season 4 Magical Charms can resist any Akumas and Amoks no matter how powerful they are while becoming stronger every day, while purifying any Akumas and Amoks that come within five feet of them, while being able to repair themselves if they're ever broken, and while being able to be made even without needing the energies of purified Akuma butterflies and Amokized peacock feathers after using the Rooster Miraculous to make it happen. And in addition to that, his knowledge of the Miraculous spellbook's codes and his expertise in Mirakung-Fu, the martial art style used to apprehend Miraculous users like Hawk Moth in any of his supervillain identities except for his Collector and Nightormentor identities, has increased to the point where he's able to surpass even his superiors for longer periods of time.
Anyway, here's the scoop: when Master Fu was my age, he was chosen to become a new member of the Order of the Guardians, simply because of the fact that at the time, the Guardians only recruited children from Chinese families of great lineage, and they train those children extensively for years for the task of protecting every Miraculous jewel in their possession. Master Fu was among the many to be unhappy with this, but he wasn't even given a choice in the matter, as even his parents were adamant that Master Fu couldn't turn down the recruiting offer, as being a Guardian was a special honor in even Master Fu's family. In those days, cellular telephones weren't going to be invented until 1886. Because of this, in order for a Guardian recruit to communicate with their families over long distances, they used messenger doves to send letters. As expected, even Master Fu was very unhappy with the grueling training exercises that the Guardians under Grandmaster Su-Han's leadership maintained and never changed because of the training exercises being '"traditional,"' including doing one thousand push-ups on your fingers, and watching over the Mother Miracle Box for a whole day without eating, drinking, or even having to use bathroom facilities. The only things that the Apprentice Guardians had was their masters' staves.
After three hours, Master Fu couldn't fight off his hunger anymore, so he took out the Peacock Miraculous and manifested a small Sentimonster. All he wanted was a small companion he could sneak into the kitchen to fetch him some rice balls. Unfortunately, his anger at the Miraculouses for being the ones that separated him from his family and neighbors mingled with his hunger, and he instead manifested a ravenous Feast Sentimonster that craved only to devour every Miraculous jewel that the Order of the Guardians had in their possession so far. Master Fu accidentally dropped his Amokized staff into the water pools of the temple, and he didn't know that not only could he control his Sentimonster, but he also didn't know that he could revoke his Amokized feather to stop the Sentimonster's rampage. Eventually, the Guardian temple in Tibet started to burn down, and one of the other Guardians gave Master Fu the Chinese Miracle Box and the associated grimoire spellbook, telling him to run away as fast as he can. When the Sentimonster started to chase him, nothing was left of the temple except burnt rubble that instantly became cold as it's always snowing in the Tibetan mountains. Master Fu eventually had to jump a large ravine with a stream of molten lava below in order to further escape. The Sentimonster fell into the ravine and molten lava stream, but the Miracle Box was opened upon impact with the ground on the other side with Master Fu having dropped the Miracle Box onto the ground when he jumped the gap. He regathered the Miraculouses, but he found way too late that he lost the Butterfly Miraculous, the Peacock Miraculous, and the grimoire.
He gathered the remaining seventeen Miraculouses and spent the next century and a half protecting the Miracle Box and upholding the job of Guardian of the Miracle Box to keep the Guardians' memory alive and to atone for his mistakes.
However, as I pointed out to him, he could've used the Rooster Miraculous to grant himself the ability to supernaturally retrieve lost items, which would thereby allow him to retrieve his staff, retrieve the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculouses, retrieve the spellbook, revoke his Amok, and restore everything with the Ladybug Miraculous. To say the least, Master Fu was stumped over how stupid he was. And now, now that we have retrieved the Peacock Miraculous and the grimoire from under Hawk Moth's nose while making sure to avert all suspicions and to avoid anything else that's equally horrible, it is up to us, the French Miraculous Superhero Team currently and in the future consisting of Ladybug, Cat Noir, Leobreaker, Ratbat, Laserbeak, Ravage, Boostwing, Filch, Jacknab, Pilfer, Tigatron, Rochip, Ignoblia, and if optional, Andre Glacier, Xavier Ramier, Jalil Kubdel, and if necessary, Felix Fathom and Amelie Graham de Vanily, in federal prison. I sincerely hope that we will be able to start by taking back the Butterfly Miraculous and throwing Gabriel Agreste, Nathalie Sancoeur, and Iris Verdi behind bars on the 2016 Heroes' Day, destroy Feast, and use my Miraculous Ladybug to restore the Order of the Guardians for a long overdue Reason Why All Of You Suck speech. I owe Master Fu, the Guardians, and all of our counterparts that much now that I'm living life as Marinette Dupain-Cheng. And I also hope that I can thank Master Fu one day for helping me change my life and giving me the support I need to permanently fix the timeline for the better. Even though I slowly got to know him over the past seven years, I barely know him, and yet I know there's much from his life experiences that he can teach me and that I can pass down to younger generations of new Guardians and new Miraculous users we'll be training to prepare for the next wars, the next apocalypses, and potentially the Final Battle of Armageddon."
Marinette finishes narrating as she finishes typing her journal, "Don't worry, my dear journal. I'll tell you everything, and I do mean it literally. So long for now."
The End.
(Author's notes: The next chapter is the first of the Miraculous Chibi episodes. Simply because, if you look up the correct chronological episode order of Miraculous Ladybug on Archive Of Our Own, you'll see in the second chapter with the full correct chronological order that the Miraculous Chibi episodes count as canon episodes for Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
So therefore, see you all in chapter 48: Rooftop Dinner.)
