Sneak into the Sheriff's Station
This one is set in season 1. Hanna sneaks into the Sheriff's Station to see Mary Margaret while she's being held for Kathryn's murder.
Hanna wanted to see her mom. Her mom didn't know she was her mom yet, but they were going to break the curse, and she would know soon. Hanna really wanted to make sure she was okay. She had to be lonely staying in here all by herself. She asked Emma several times if she could come visit, but she wouldn't let her. Hanna was not one to take no for answer though, so she just waited until Emma left and decided sneak into the Sheriff's Station anyway.
Hanna walked quietly into the room where they kept the prisoners. She could see her mom lying on her cot. Her eyes were closed. Hanna wondered if she was really asleep. She walked up to the bars.
"Miss Blanchard?"
Mary Margaret sat up when she heard the familiar voice. "Hanna?" She stood and walked over to her young student. "Hanna, what are you doing here?"
"I…I just wanted to see you."
"Sweetie, I don't think you're suppose to be in here."
"I know but…" Hanna looked down, then remembered…"I brought you this." Hanna gave her mom a smile and held out one of the cups of hot chocolate she got from Granny's.
Mary Margaret smiled back and took the treat from the girl's hand. "Thank you, Hanna."
"You're welcome." Hanna pulled a chair over to the cell and sat down. "We can drink them together." Hanna took a sip of her chocolate drink.
"I think that's a wonderful idea." Mary Margaret could taste the cinnamon and wondered where Hanna learned to put cinnamon on her hot chocolate. "So how's school going?"
Hanna furrowed her eyebrows. "Terrible. The man subbing for you is boring and he smells weird."
"Hanna…" Mary Margaret tried to keep her composure. She couldn't help but laugh a little though. "That's not very nice."
Hanna grinned. "What? It's true."
"Well, I hope you're still trying your best."
Hanna shrugged.
"How about your math? Are you understanding everything alright?" Mary Margaret remembered Hanna needing some help with a few problems on her homework right before her arrest.
"I think so…"
"Did you do your homework for tomorrow yet?"
Hanna shook her head.
"Well how about you get it out, and I can help you with it?"
Hanna smiled. "Okay." She picked her backpack up from the floor and pulled out her homework.
Hanna just finished the last problem when she heard footsteps coming down the hallway. "Oh crap." She quickly scrambled to get her things into her bag.
"Han, what the hell are you doing here?" Emma asked as she walked into the room.
"Hey Emma," Hanna said with a smile, hoping her sister wouldn't be too mad at her.
"How did you even get in here?" Emma knew she locked this place up tight before she left.
Hanna reached into her pocket. She slowly lifted her hand and held up Emma's spare keys to the station.
Emma quickly grabbed them from her. "Han when did you…"
"I've had them for awhile now," Hanna winced, hoping Emma wouldn't be too mad. She swiped them awhile back just in case she and Henry needed them. She thought they might come in handy for Operation Cobra.
Emma just shook her head. How could she be mad at the poor girl? Emma knew how much she missed Mary Margaret. "I see you stole my idea," she said as she held up the two hot chocolates in her hands. She took a sip of hers. "I don't know what I'm going to do with this one now."
"I can drink it. I already finished mine," Hanna said with a grin.
Emma looked over towards Mary Margaret.
"I'm good," Mary Margaret held up her cup. "I still have most of mine left."
Emma sighed and reached the cup out to Hanna. "You can have it."
"Thanks!" Hanna quickly took the drink. "Get a chair and sit with us."
"Alright," Emma brought a chair over and sat next to Hanna. "But only for a few minutes. It's getting late."
"Okay." Hanna smiled and enjoyed her drink with her mom and sister.
