DO NOT ENTER THE FOREST

That very same morning, he held Kagome by her shoulders, and shook her, demanding an answer.
"Who are you?" He interrogated, as her gaze remained on the floor. "Tell me! Where is Kagome?!"
Kagome, the one right in front of him, looked at InuYasha in a way that made him sense, once again, that coldness surrounding her. Her chestnut brown eyes were dim, of the same swampish color of foul water.
"I'm her, but not entirely," she confessed then. InuYasha gulped in an attempt to withstand those words. "Fear is the enemy of love, and the forest is a beast that needs love to survive. It consumes it where it finds it, leaving only husks of those who dare venture inside, making them part of it."
The grim darkness of a basement was far clearer, than the black desolation InuYasha felt inside his soul.
