You see I'm sure you already know of the Greek gods being real, after all I'm guessing you've read the previous stories by another guy named Percy but if you haven't the short story is that there Greek gods exist and they like to bang and when they bang they make kids and sometimes they bang humans and then they make demigods. I know it's kinda similar to the birds and the bees except the birds are near all powerful gods who can't keep it in their pants. Anyway to make my backstory not take up an entire book I'll make it short. I was raised in Louisiana,I was adopted by Louis senior who was a pretty good dad all things considered. here's also this camp called camp half blood where demigods go to train to be hero's or just survive the world with all the monsters going about trying to eat us and I don't know who my godly parent is seeing as how I was adopted by Louis senior. Oh yeah there's also monsters, didn't I mention that? No? Oh well yeah there's monsters and they like eating demigods. Now that I've explained everything in such great detail we can begin with the day a bunch of people fell from the sky.
It started off like any other day I had just finished music lessons where I do pretty good if you don't mind me bragging. You see one of the few things my dad did right was make me learn the banjo like it was a third arm. I was heading to blacksmithing where I did the best which had caused some of the counselors of the camp to think that I might be a son of Hephaestus but my musical talents made a lot of others think that I was a son of Apollo. You see the reason so many people were wondering where I belonged was because unlike all of the other people at camp they didn't know who my mommy or daddy was. Okay another long story you see there was this big war not to long ago where the gods had to fight the titans who were this real nasty group of older guys whom the gods had banished to tartarus which apparently is like a sorta mega hell but the titans led by the lead titan named Kronos escaped. There was this real big battle in New York where camp half blood were able to defend the Empire State Building which is also apparently the gateway to Olympus and banished the titans back to Tartarus and the gods rewarded the heroes with one wish and Percy's wish who is like the big guy around here and kinda important wished that the gods would claim their children as their own because a lot of demigods who felt alone joined the titans. So according to the counselor of the Hermes cabin where the people who haven't been claimed go which so far is me and me alone and obviously the children of Hermes. Well anyway he says that Percy made the god's promise to claim their children which makes me kind of an anomaly as with me being 15 I should've been claimed when I turned 13. So anyway when I was walking to blacksmithing I was almost trampled by a bunch of campers. "Watch where you're going Theodore!" I yelled. Theodore paused and yelled back "Annabeth is back!" Smiling while he did so. As he started running again I grabbed my stuff and ran after him. Annabeth, if you want to know, is pretty cool and is Percy's girlfriend. She's spending most of her time trying to find Percy who's been missing for a while. I'm hoping that if she finds Percy I'll be able to tell him to call up the gods and help me with my mom or dad breaking the promise thing. I ran as fast as I could with all my stuff and since I was losing Theodore I dropped my stuff to go faster. I'm a pretty fast runner so I was able to keep up with Theodore until we got to our destination which was apparently the lake where I found quite the scene. There was a crashed chariot in the lake and some very scared Pegasai flapping their wings in the water. There were also some people on the shore where the campers who had already gotten there had given blankets to keep them warm. There was Annabeth and Butch and some people who I didn't know. There was a boy around my age with blond hair looking very confused. There was also a girl also around my age with soaked hair and a fleece jacket with brown skin who was absolutely gorgeous. The last new arrival had tanned skin and honestly looked kinda like an elf with his pointed ears. I rushed forward to see if I could help in any way when Drew, who may I add was as pleasant as 3rd degree burns on your balls, stepped forward.
"Well," Drew said, "I hope they're worth the trouble." The elf kid snorted. "Gee, thanks. What are we, your new pets?" "No kidding," the blond kid said. "How about some answers before you start judging us like, what is this place, why are we here, how long do we have to
stay?" Jason," Annabeth said, "I promise we'll answer your questions. And Drew" — she frowned at Drew "all demigods are worth saving. But I'll
admit, the trip didn't accomplish what I hoped."
That's when I stepped in. "Gee guys a little bit of hospitality wouldn't hurt" I said. "I mean at least answer them some basic questions". "Who asked you baldy?" Drew said. Don't worry guys I don't have cancer or nothing I just like the style. "Oh I'm so sorry your highness I must've forgotten that I need your permission to speak how silly of me" I said. I heard some of the campers chuckle mainly due to the fact that not many people liked Drew very much. "Guys stop!" Annabeth said loudly. Annabeth ain't exactly someone who you wanna get mad so I stopped quickly. "Louis s right we should show some hospitality to our new arrivals,we'll assignthem each a guide to give them a tour of the camp and hopefully they'll be claimed by the campfire". Annabeth said. "Could someone please tell me what clamied means?" The fleecer jacket girl asked. At that moment a red hammer was over the head of the elf kid marking him as a son of Hephaestus. "That Piper is claiming" Annabeth said. What'd I do?" The elf kid backed toward the lake. Then he glanced up and yelped. "Is my hair on fire?" He ducked, but the symbol followed him, bobbing
and weaving so it looked like he was trying to write something in flames with his head. I heard butch say something and but Annabeth quickly shushed him and turned to the elf kid."Leo, you've just been claimed…"By a god," the blond kid interrupted . "That's the symbol of Vulcan, isn't it?" Pretty much all the campers there turned to him. "Jason," Annabeth said carefully, "how did you know that?" Jason looked confused at himself and said "I'm not sure. "Vulcan?" Leo demanded. "I don't even LIKE Star Trek. What are you talking about?" "Vulcan is the Roman name for Hephaestus," Annabeth said, "the god of blacksmiths and fire." At that moment the red hammer went away but Leo kept swatting at the air like it was still there. "The god of what? Who?" Leo asked, still bewildered.
Annabeth turned to Will. "Will, would you take Leo, give him a tour? Introduce him to his bunk-mates in Cabin Nine." "Sure Annabeth," Will said. What's Cabin Nine?" Leo asked. "And I'm not a Vulcan!" Come on, Mr. Spock, I'll explain everything." Will put a hand on his shoulder and steered him off toward the cabins. Then Annabeth turned to Jason and walked over to him and appeared to be studying him then she said something and Jason held out his arm and she looked shocked. Piper looked at it too and they talked for a bit and then a bunch of the other campers rushed forward to see what the big deal was. They talked for a bit longer and then Annabeth said "He needs to go straight to Chiron," "Drew, would you". "Absolutely." Drew laced her arm through Jason's. "This way, sweetie. I'll introduce you to our director. He's ... an interesting guy." She flashed Piper
a smug look and led Jason toward the big blue house on the hill. The other campers started leaving meaning it was just me Piper and Annabeth. "Who's Chiron?" Piper asked Annabeth. "Is Jason in some kind of trouble?" Annabeth hesitated. "Good question, Piper." Annabeth turned to me and said "could you give Piper a tour Louis ? I nodded and was about to start walking when Annabeth whispered in my ear solemnly. I nodded and gestured for Piper to follow me.
