At the international kaiju meeting center in Tokyo where members of the Japanese government and the GMCF gathered to discuss kaiju threats, all occupants were seated quietly. They were here to listen to Doctor Jiyramara Hu explain the Godzilla counter weapon he had recently finished. They only hoped it was something good.

Hu stepped onto his podium. An older man, his hair was completely white (though that could just be the result of hair dye since he was only 41) and he wore a black coat and gloves. He explained to the crowd of scientists,

"Gentlemen, we live in an age of fear. One where we have to look out our windows everyday in fear of a giant monster stomping through our city and destroying it for kicks. But no more! Today, I have the ultimate anti-kaiju weapon prepared for you! The dimension tide may have been a failure, but I assure you that this will not be!"

He then pulled up an image from the smithsonian of the skeleton of the original King Kong on display, and continued saying,

"I assume you men are all familiar with the first giant monster on record. King Kong. Rampaged through New York back in '33 and got shot down from the empire state building. My grandfather was a witness of Kong's rampage, and passed the story down to my father, who was a newborn at the time, who in turn passed it down to me. I have been fascinated with him ever since."

One of the scientists impatiently said,

"Get to the point, Hu!"

Hu replied,

"Very well. So, after the third Godzilla's attack on Tokyo, I was able to use my connections to purchase King Kong's skeleton from the Smithsonian, and build around it to create this!"

Hu then pulled up an image of a mechanical King Kong. The mech appeared heavily armored, with it having missile launchers on its shoulders and its palms being cannons. It also had a strange looking light on its head, and large grenades strapped to its waist. The scientists were in awe, and a smug Hu proclaimed,

"Behold, Mechani-Kong! Built around the skeleton of the original, it's current height may be only 24 feet, but thanks to special modifications it can grow to a whopping 75 meters, just shy of Godzilla! And that's not all! It is built from ultra durable metals and powered by an element I call X discovered in the north pole! It can shoot a powerful laser from its head lamp, its grenades can kill 10 zillas, and it can briefly boost itself with a lightning charge!"

The head of the army rubbed his chin and nodded, and then told Hu,

"It's certainly impressive, but it seems quite expensive."

"Yes, but after the failure of the dimension tide last year, we need all the power we can get sir."

"Hmmm, I suppose you're right."

"So, will my creation be put to military use?"

"Let's just run a few tests, and then we'll see."

"Thank you, sir."

1 month passed, and sure enough, Doctor Hu's "Mechani-Kong" was approved by the GMCF to be used against kaiju. And it had the perfect first test subject. Recently, an ankylosaurus-like monster dubbed "Anguirus" had been discovered in the outskirts of Japan and had been attacking small villages.

Mechani-Kong was deployed to stop this beast, and as it landed, the two kaiju stared each other down. After a tense staredown, Angurius roared at Mechani-Kong and ran at him, only to receive a punch to the face. However, the persistent kaiju grabbed Mechani-Kong's hand and bit down on it, holding on even after the mechanical beast attempted to thrash him off.

In response, Mechani-Kong placed his palm in front of Anguirus's head and fired a blast of plasma, causing the Ankylosaur kaiju to be sent flying back. Angurius stumbled up and roared at the mechanical kaiju, with it roaring back. The two then bull rushed each other, metaphorically locking horns as they struggled. Mechani-Kong then slammed Anguirus with his fists, slamming the ankylosaurus kaiju into the ground.

He then grabbed him by the tail and swung him around, throwing him into the distance. As soon as Anguirus landed with a thud, Mechani-Kong unloaded his full arsenal on the enemy kaiju, causing it to roar in pain. After about a minute of shooting Anguirus full of bullets, Mechani Kong stopped. It then headed to Anguirus to ensure he was dead.

The mechanical ape kicked the ankylosaur kaiju a few times, but when he didn't move, the mechanical ape roared in victory. It then flew away into the sky.
