Spider Verse: Spider-Tracer.

The multiverse is an amazing thing. Countless universes, countless worlds, all filled with things and people you both can and can't imagine. Some universes are very similar to our own, but some are the complete opposite. The Spider Verse is no exception. While many of them are similar to the earth 616, and all of them have their own spider, just like spiders in the wild, not all of them are the same. However, there is another world which also has alternate versions across the multiverse, the technological world of Overwatch. Many already know of one Overwatch world, the world where humans and omnics live together, all be it with a very fragile relationship. However, that world doesn't have a spider hero, the closest they have to one being the deadly assassin, Windowmaker who has no connection to the Spider Verse at all. But this brings us to another world, a world where a true spider hero lives.

Welcome to Earth-OW2, one of the more unequally named dimensions. Everyone knows Lena Oxton, AKA Tracer, both an adventurer and an irrepressible force for good. With the ability to alter her own time at will, she fights the good fight wherever she goes. However, that is not the Lena Oxton we're going to observe here. Let's start from the beginning. Just like her well known counterpart, Lena Oxton of Earth-OW2 was youngest pilot ever inducted into Overwatch's flight program, and was chosen to test a new prototype fighter jet using Slipstream technology.

However, this is where this Lena's life takes a different turn, as she was getting ready for the launch, she didn't notice a spider unwittingly hitching a ride on her shoulder. As the plane began it's fateful course, and the aircraft's teleportation matrix malfunctioned, the energy overwhelmed the craft along with Lena. However, the spider was also hit by the energy, and being overwhelmed and spooked by the sudden event, it bit Lena on the neck. Lena barely felt the bite before everything went black.

When Lena woke up, she learned weeks had passed, and this is where the main difference between her counterpart and herself really begins. Instead of being desynchronized from the flow of time, when she was bit by the spider, the energy from the Slipstream somehow made Lena and the spider's DNA super evolve and fused. Lena's best friend Winston along with several of the world's most brilliant minds spent weeks trying to figure out how this was possible, but they were all stumped as they couldn't find a logical way of explaining it.

But what was certain was the fact that Lena's body had changed. She had become much stronger, faster, tougher and more agile than any human could possibly become. Not only that, she had gained the ability to fire web lines from wrists and it had somehow given her another sense, which gave her a limited precognition, giving her a 3 seconds warning of an incoming attack, making it all but impossible to surprise attack her. Lena would spend weeks practicing her new abilities with the help of her friend, Genji, and soon enough she had all but mastered them.

Lena's new abilities also increased her desire to become a hero, and now she felt like she could be a super hero. She would require a hero name, a name that would make sense and bring hope to the innocent people who hears it. Taking inspiration from some comic books she read as a kid, Lena decided to go with Spider-Tracer, combining the fact she had spider powers and the description people has made of her powers, describing her as being nearly impossible to track.

Sadly, just like her counterpart, Lena's life with Overwatch was cut short when Blackwatch was exposed, and Overwatch was forcefully disbanded. Lena would keep trying to be a hero back in her home city, London, even finding a girlfriend named Emily, who helped her design a spider suit for her to wear. Even though most people knew who Lena, due to her being a very famous former member of Overwatch, Lena still wore a mask, mainly because Emily thought she looked awesome in it.

This brings us to the present day, Lena was enjoying some quality time with Emily. Lena was relaxing on the couch, while Emily was listening to the radio. She stopped what she was doing when the reporter said a large Rhino looking robot was rampaging not to far away, and so far no one had been able to even slow it down, let alone stopping it.

"Lena, did you hear that?" Emily said as she hurried in to the living room.

"Hear what?" Lena asked, still relaxing.

"A rhino robot is causing trouble" Emily answered.

Lena opened her eyes "Rhino robot? A new kind of omnic?".

"I don't know, but so far no one has been able to stop it. Sounds like a job for Spider-Tracer to me" Emily said.

Lena groans a little "But I just got home from stopping that Vulture guy. An old man in a bird armor, real strange".

"Says the girl who's DNA is fused with a spider. Come on, just a quick swing by, beat up a Rhino robot and then back. If you're quick, I'll have a reward waiting for you" Emily said with a flirty wink.

That was all the motivation Lena needed to suit up, and after a quick but nice kiss from her girlfriend, she was swinging through the streets of London, approaching the location of the chaos at inhuman speed... Whatever was attacking, it's strong, as it had left holes in buildings. Lena followed the destruction, only stopping a few times to help people who had been trapped by the rubble. Finally, after stopping a car that had been launched through the air, Lena found her target.

"Ok Mr. Rhino, it's time for you to go back to the..." Lena began until a large humanoid looking Rhino machine towered over her, being at least 3 times her size, if not bigger "Ummm... You're bigger than I expected".

Rhino raised his fist and tried to crush Lena, who quickly dodged, but was fast enough to dodge his follow up attack, as he backhanded her in to a nearby wall. Lena felt her ribs and back ache from the blow, but luckily her spider enhanced physique had saved her from what would've been a fatal blow to a normal human.

"Ow... ok, he's faster than he looks... good to know" Lena said as she got back up and went after Rhino as he began causing more trouble.

She saw him heading towards a nearby power station, where the workers were still evacuating. He could kill someone if he reached it, so Lena quickly swings in and kicked him square in his mechanical jaw... hurting her ankle in the process, but she was successful in gaining his attention as he glared at her.

"I WILL DESTROY YOU!" He roared in rage as he tried to grab Lena, who easily avoided his large hands.

Lena landed on his back and tried to break his strong metal hide with her fist, but barely managed to even dent it, and her hand ached more and more from each blow. Rhino couldn't reach her with his hands, so he purposely fell back, trying to crush Lena under his large body. Luckily Lena sensed this would happen and jumped away, allowing Rhino to fall on the ground. He got back up, and like his name sake, he charged at her like an angry Rhino, forcing Lena to leap over him as he crashed through a wall... He emerged from the dust, his red eyes glowing through the dust, making him look more menacing.

Lena was quickly realizing brute force wasn't going to cut it. He was much stronger and tougher than her. Luckily, he was also slower and dumber, so Lena needed to fight smarter, not harder. As Rhino charged at her again, Lean once again leaps up, only this time she landed on his back again and used her webs to forcefully change his course and caused him to run in to a heavily armored truck, which was built to withstand strong impacts. This caused Rhino's horn to get stuck in the truck, finally holding him still long enough for Lena to web him up.

"There, that should keep you trapped long enough for the authorities to find a way to get you out of that big tin can" Lena said before Rhino pulled his horn free and ripped her webbing like they were nothing "Ah, bullocks".

Rhino roared, even angrier than before as he ran towards Lena again, who was forced to escape while looking around for another way to stop the large mechanical brute. She noticed the power station had been fully evacuated. Despite knowing the problems her new plan would cause, she was out of options and began swing towards the power station. But before she could reach it, Rhino managed to grab her leg and slammed her in to the ground. Lena barely had time to even feel the pain before Rhino lifted her up by the leg and slammed her down again. He repeated this a couple of more times before finally throwing her away. She flew straight through the barriers leading to the power station and rolls across the ground, before sliding to a halt.

Every bone in her body hurt, but Lena finally had Rhino where she wanted him, so she fought through the pain and got back up.

"Now I will crush you like a bug, spider bitch!" Rhino snarled.

"Wow, you kiss your mother with that mouth? I bet she would be so disappointed at you" Lena said.

"DON'T TALK ABOUT MY MAMA!" Rhino screamed in an comically high pitched voice as he charged at Lena again at full speed... something she hoped he would do.

Lena leaps to the side as Rhino crashes in to a generator, screaming as the electricity shot through his mechanical body... When it stopped, his armor twitched before collapsing on the ground. Lena took a moment to catch her breath, this fight was a lot tougher than she expected. However, the rhino armor suddenly opened up and someone climbed out... It was a man, much smaller than his armor. As expected, Rhino was little more than a little man piloting a large armor.

"I'm not done yet spider! I don't need my armor to crush a skinny girl like-!" Before he could even finish he was tied up and hung upside down by Lena's webbing.

Lena swings away before the cops try to arrest her for illegal vigilantism. She landed on a roof top and was going to head home, shower, and then cuddle her beloved Emily all night long... until a portal suddenly opened up in front of her. A surprised Lena looked on as a tall man, wearing a red and blue suit, but his Spider symbol resembled a skull.

"Ok... I must've taken an harder beating than I thought. Now I'm seeing things" Lena said.

"I assure you, I am very real. We've been watching you for some time, Spider-Tracer, or do you prefer Lena Oxton?" The man asked.

"How do you know me? And what do you mean you've been watching me?! Who are you?!" Lena demanded.

"I am Spider-Man, from the year 2099 of Earth-928. The multiverse is in trouble and we could use your help" Spider-Man said.

"Multiverse? I thought the multiverse was only a myth" Lena said.

"It's very real, and you are far from the only Lena Oxton in the multiverse. There are some versions of your world that is similar but you have different abilities. But in some universes you are an Divine Herald of the gods. In some you are an trained special Ghost operative and assassin" Spider-Man said.

"Ok... you are throwing a lot at me here. Why should I even believe all your crazy talk?" Lena asked.

"You don't have to believe me. You can find out for yourself" Spider-Man said as he stepped to the side, showing her the portal.

Lena hesitated, she couldn't sense any betrayal but still "But I need to get home or-".

"Emily is fine, and you can check on her anytime you want. There are perks to being an multiversal traveler" Spider-Man assured.

Lena thinks for several seconds before taking the leap of faith and entered the portal. Once she emerged on the other side, her eyes went wide by what she saw... A literal army of spider people were moving around, many of them looked similar, while others looked completely unique... And some looked utterly ridiculous, but Lena is not one to judge.

Soon someone landed in front of her. It was a girl, wearing a white, black and pink suit with a hood. She removed her mask, revealing a young blonde girl with a right-side half undercut.

"So, you are the new recruit. Hi, I'm Gwen Stacy, nice to meet you" The girl said.

Lena removed her own mask "Lena Oxton. Love the hair".

Gwen smiled before Spider-Man spoke up "Spider-Tracer. Welcome to the Spider-Society".

Lena had a feeling the greatest adventure of her life was waiting for her.

.

There you go, a one shot I made because I was bored and I liked the idea. Ever since Overwatch came out, I always believed Tracer and Spider-Man would get along just fine, due to both being young heroes who loves to joke around and taunt their enemies. And the thought of Tracer being a Spider-Hero herself has crossed my mind more than once.

As for the name of Lena's earth, I simply used OW which of course is short for Overwatch, and I wanted her origin to be different from most Spider-Heroes, so I mixed the classic spider origin with her canon origin and gave her different abilities from the games, while still keeping the time aspect of her abilities, only instead of her controlling her own time, I gave her some limited precognition.

Some eagle eyed people may also spot some mentions of Heroes Of The Storm in there somewhere.

I don't know if I will make this a full story since it's meant to just be a one shot, which is why the origin part wasn't fully explored. But who knows.

.

Tell me what you all think.
