Tokyo city. Large, bustling and full of people.
And in a small residential district, a creature that could only be described as a computer monster.
Its legs were made of tangled up wires with keyboards for feet.
The arms were multiple cords wrapped around mice with cords extending out to make claws.
The main body, connecting all of the limbs together by wires wrapped around a computer tower with a large spike sticking through the middle and jutting out the back and the front, looked as though it just got peppered by gun fire.
Finally the head was a large computer screen with wires exposed creating two long tentacles. Its face was built from code on the screen and currently it had a look of fear and apprehension.
"Where did he go?!" The creature screamed out in much less of a voice and more of a program reading out the words.
A random human stumbled out of a nearby bar, drunk and unaware.
The creature turned quickly and screeched in it's robotic voice.
The human turned around and sobered up quickly and screamed in fear. "DEVIL!"
The devil stepped forward, the computer screen making up its face cracked open creating a mouth to eat with, when a loud CRACK filled the air and the left arm of the devil was blown off.
A strap for a bandolier of bullets flung the human to safety as something landed behind the devil. "Sorry Techie, but I'm getting paid extra if I keep the casualties to a minimum. So hold still and take your lead like a good devil and I'll even give you a treat!" A voice that sounded as though it was already echoed, yelled out.
The computer devil turned around in fear. Standing behind him was a human figure, but where his forearms would be holes holding guns, his chest was covered with a pair of bullet bandoliers that ended up trailing off his back and waved in the wind.
It was wearing a crimson Bang NRG shirt with what at first looks like ripped sleeves, but in reality, the sleeves have been burnt away.
His pants were similar, however instead of his legs being gun barrels, it instead leads into a pair of metallic combat boots.
Finally his head was a large Pistol with his face taking up the grip area with a hollow interior to hold his piercing blue eyes, a shark toothed grin was spread over the gun in delight. The barrel of the gun had the words '5000 Caliber Warks'
This was Tokyo's local and most famous hitman, devil hunter and all around mercenary, Marksman.
Marksman's guns fell back into their holes and a pair of hands made from broken gun parts took their place. Marksman cracked his back and glared at the Computer devil.
The world turned into the pages of a classic manga and flipped through until it hit the main cover of the book, showing Marksman standing on top of a mountain of bullet shells.
"Okay. Let's hope this is the only time I do this." Mark's voice spoke over the Manga cover.
"My name is Marcus Xavier Mann. I made a deal with the gun devil and for 12 years, I've been the one and only Marksman."
The scenes cut to a man in a long coat with a baseball cap on his head standing in front of a wounded behemoth made from guns, bandoliers and bullets.
Then it cuts to him running on top of buildings as he is now.
"I hope you know the rest. I opened up Bullet Time, did hits and killed devil's. A lot of devil's. A lot of a lot of devil's."
It shows different cuts of Marksman shooting different devils to death with varying ranges of danger, such as the weak and harmless Paper Bag Devil and even the terrifying Darkness devil.
"And I uh. I did this."
It cuts to Marksman dancing like a moron to jazz music with a couple other people in his shop.
"Yeah we don't- we don't talk about this."
It cuts to different newspapers talking about Tokyo's own devil, talking about bullet time and even a few shots of Marksman standing on top of a building.
"Look, I'm a local legend. I got a whole brand of bullets. I did a cameo in News and TV shows. I wrote an excellent song. And I'm a so-so popsicle."
It cuts from each different scene of Marksman in each situation, to Marcus playing the song Kick Back in his shop, and then to a fridge full of popsicles made to mimic his head shape.
"It could be worse."
It cuts to Marksman fighting different devils and finally settling on his current fight against the Computer devil as he rips the head off the body.
"And at the end of every day, the money keeps flowing and I couldn't be happier."
"Even with the Public Devil Hunters breathing down my back and trying to kill or recruit me or just taking my kills. I love every moment I'm Marksman."
People come out of hiding to cheer on Marksman as he screams in victory as the body of the computer devil flails about with oil spurting out of it.
"The only thing keeping everyone in Tokyo safe, reliably, is me. Sure I cost a hefty charge per-kill. But it mostly comes from the government. Regardless of the shit I get, and everything against me. I always get up."
Marksman runs away waving to people as his bandoliers begin to latch on to different objects and begin to swing him away.
"Because there's only one of me and millions of them. So someone has to save them. There's only two Hybrid devils. And if you're looking for the best one? Then you're looking at him."
Bullet time: Alleyway behind the building
Marksman dropped down into the alleyway. His landing made a decently loud thud, alerting the two workers inside that their boss was back.
While Mark preferred to kill alone he knew he had to have people stay back at his office to help take note on hits or devil contracts.
Mark reached up to his neck and flipped the safety switch to safe. As expected, the pieces of the gun devil melted away into a strange type of slag metal before it dissolved.
Now Mark stood back in his human form, a 33 year old man with short black hair and a scruffy goatee. The hitman entered his office's back door and slammed the door shut behind him.
Instantly, a black cat ran up to Mark and began nudging his leg. "Hi Dangan." Mark said with a warm smile as he bent over and picked up the cat.
Holding it with one arm, Mark exited the back room of his office and into the main room.
The room itself was quite large. However tape on the ground sectioned certain places off from each other.
Mark dropped Dangan, and the cat ran over to its bed behind the largest desk in the room. A large mahogany desk with a birch trim. The top was clean save for the Lamp, Telephone and TV remote.
Mark sat down behind his desk and opened one of the drawers to pull out a blank Devil Document, or what he and the others in his office called a DD, and a pen.
Mark began to write down the incident he had with the … "KT, what was the name of that devil we were contracted to kill?" Marcus asked and looked up from the paper.
"It was the computer devil, boss."
Behind a small desk to the left of where Mark was facing, was a man with thick sideburns on the side of his face. The man refused to give Mark his real name and instead requested to be called Katana Man.
This man was the only other hybrid Mark knew about.
Currently, said hybrid was leaning back in his chair with his feet kicked up on the desk, staring at a halfway solved Rubix cube.
"Thank you… who contracted us for that one?"
"That one devil hunter you seem to get along with."
"Right, the psychopath. Thanks KT."
"Yup." The man said before returning all of his attention to the Rubix cube.
"Are you ever gonna finish that cube Katana?" A female asked from the other side of the room from Katana Man.
This was Akane Sawatari, the package deal for having Katana Man work with Mark. From what Mark knew, Akane used to be a devil hunter. She quit soon after Mark began to become a big name in the devil hunting and hitman business.
"Are you gonna shut the fuck up so I can?" Katana Man replied back as he turned the cube to a different side to get a better look on it.
"Can you both shut the fuck up so I can finish this paper work so we can go for lunch?" Mark asked, stopping the child-like argument before it began.
"Oooh yeah, I'll shut up for lunch. Where are we goin?" Akane asked, leaning on her marble desk top.
"Hell, if you do not shut up Akane." Mark replied, not even looking up from his document.
Akane sighed and leaned back in her chair, knowing that Mark wouldn't kill her, but he probably would shoot her.
Mark, now happy there was silence, began to put the finishing touches on the DD.
Finally Mark put his signature along with the price of the hunt at the bottom, a little over 200,000 yen for the kill as it did kill quite a few humans before Mark got to rip its head off.
Mark placed the document off to the side and hummed for a moment before standing up and stretching. "Alright, grab your shit let's get lunch." Mark said as he walked from behind his desk, baseball cap and bandana now in hand.
Akane chuckled and got up, while Katana Man simply placed his Rubix cube down and made a grunt of acknowledgement while standing up.
"So, what say you to ramen?" Mark asked as he put his cap on.
"Ramen sounds good." Akane said as she grabbed her red hoodie from the chair she was sitting on.
"Yeah I can kill a bowl." Katana Man spoke with a nod and grabbed his own long coat from the coat rack next to his desk.
"Bitchin. Come on, I'll drive." Mark said as the three walked out the building to the black muscle car parked out front.
Mark got in the driver's seat while Akane sat next to him and Katana Man sat in the back. The three drove off to the best Ramen shop in town.
Whilst Mark was driving to the Ramen shop, a woman with red hair and spiral eyes walked inside of an abandoned factory.
Inside was a young male with chainsaws sticking out of his hands and a chainsaw for a head.
She smirked devilishly and knew that she finally had her weapon. The Chainsaw Man.
With the new hybrid on her side, The Marksman was soon to be a long forgotten memory for her.
[Intro: Kick Back by Kenshi Yonezu (and Marcus X Mann apparently) ]
Denji pulled his ripcord and we zoomed down to a group of four walking down a street.
The furthest to the right was Katana Man in his human form. Next to him was Akane, laughing like an idiot taunting the one on the other side of Mark, who walked in front of her, and behind him to the left was none other than Kishibe, who was sighing while pulling out another cigarette.
The scene changed to Marksman picking up a Big Fucking Gun from some random Space Marine's corpse, seemed as though he was doomed three times over.
It changed again to Mark and Katana Man inspecting an alien's gun and sword. A strange halo of light hovered around the sword.
Now Marksman, Katana Man, Akane and Kishibe all stood in the trenches of France fighting against Nazi and Templar zombies with Zombies in suits of armor and Giant Robots all coming after them.
Again the scene changed to Akane and Mark stealing their fifth car running away from an army of cops, swat and even military forces.
Mark, Akane, Katana Man and Kishibe stood on one end of a giant skate park, with water guns filled with paint with Denji, Power, Aki and Makima on the other end with water guns filled with paint on the other end of the color spectrum.
Finally Mark and Denji stood at opposite ends of a fighting ring where they would fight in Kombat.
The scene shifted to Mark, Katana Man and Akane all sitting at a bar counter with bowls of ramen In Front of them. People would come in and sit at the other end of the bar. Kishibe came in first with Himemo,a beer in her hand and trying to flirt with Mark.
Then Kishibe left to go smoke and Himemo fell asleep in one of the booths. Taking their place at the bar was Konebi, not even wanting to glance at Mark before bursting into fearful tears and running to the DDR machine nearby and dancing nervously.
Then Denji, Power and Aki sat down next to Mark.
Denji and Power began to bicker and get loud, causing Aki to sigh and join Kishibe in smoking outside.
Finally, Makima sat down next to Mark.
The two slowly looked at each other and Mark flipped his safety switch while Makima grabbed a knife on the bar, the two then leapt at each other.
The scene changed again to Mark sitting in a therapist's office with Dangan in his lap. Mark pet the cat and spoke to the faceless therapist as he blinked in and out of Marksman.
Finally a blink showed Mark shooting the Therapist with Finger guns. The therapist's chest exploded with blood and the splatter covered our view before it shifted to Marksman jumping out of a wall to fight against a devil made out of car parts.
Marksman's arms became a sniper and a double barreled shotgun and he opened fire on the devil. He hit the ground and Katana Man tagged in in his hybrid form and cut into the Car Devil.
Akane stood nearby with the snake devil pouncing on the Car Devil, accidentally knocking Marksman into a building.
Mark suddenly wakes up in the office as it slowly began to fill up with bullet shells. Mark banged on the window and changed into Marksman, who continued banging.
Back to the fight, Marksman jumps out of the ruined building and sees a giant metal ball statue next to him.
Marksman calls out to Katana Man and points at the ball. Katana Man nods, with a flash of his human form wearing glasses behind him.
Katana Man uses his cut ability to separate the ball from the ground.
Marksman takes advantage of this and changes his arms to flamethrowers and propels the ball forward into the Car Devil before changing his arms again to dual RPG's and firing at the devil.
The scene changed to Mark and Katana Man shooting a sleeping Akane with Water Guns.
The scene changed to a younger Mark standing in front of the giant gun devil, who was obviously wounded and close to death.
Then Marksman was spinning around like a top, shooting shotgun blasts in every direction he could, Death Blooming everywhere he shot.
Marksman pushed a shopping cart down a wooden ramp with Akane sitting inside said cart.
Katana Man slashed his sword against Denji's chainsaws, and the resulting clash sent sparks across the train.
Then Mark stared down Makima before the two ran at each other with intent to make sure the other never moved again.
Finally, Mark and Akane were dancing like a couple of fools in front of the Dead car devil.
Katana Man just watched and pulled out a pack of cigarettes, put one in his mouth and lit it up.
Finally the chainsaw man logo covered the screen before it was shot to bits and the words Marksman were now exposed.
