Disclaimer: I don't own Spider-Man, it belongs to Marvel.

A/N: This is the start of season 3 of my Spider-Man saga. This season will be longer than the first 2 - more than 30 chapters - and begins just a few weeks after the last one ended.

In the Parker house, Peter and Gwen were both watching the movie 'Easy A' together, while sharing a bowl of popcorn, both laying close together on the couch. Gwen's hair no longer had the dyed pink tips in, as she felt a bit bored with them, but Peter told her he liked her regardless, which had made her smile.

It had been 2 weeks since they, with the help of the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four, had brought the man who killed Peter's parents - Bolivar Trask - to justice. After which, Peter had discovered he had a long-lost sibling somewhere out there, which had been one of the biggest shocks of his life. As Gwen rested her head on his shoulder, he began to remember telling his friends on the first day of school after Trask's arrest.

(Flashback)

On the first day of school after Trask's arrest, Peter was going through his locker at Midtown High, when Harry, Mary Jane and Anya all came towards him.

"Hey, Peter." Mary Jane said.

Peter turned to his three friends.

"We all saw the news last night, about how that Trask man caused your parents death." Anya explained.

"How you feeling about it?" Harry asked.

"Well, I'm glad he's been brought to justice, for that and all the other stuff he did." Peter assured. "That includes the Rhino Rampage last November."

"He caused that mess too?!" Anya exclaimed. "Oh, mi... Good thing this city has heroes like the Spider-Duo around, otherwise my Papa could've died that day, thanks to Trask."

"Ouch." Harry said.

"But, there's more." Peter said.

"What do you mean?" Mary Jane inquired.

"Well, the morning of the news, a man came over to the house." Peter explained. "Said he was an old friend of my parents."

"And?" Anya inquired, curiously.

"Well, he brought us a file they found from Trask, and well...it said...I have a younger sibling." Peter explained.

His three friends all gasped at the news.

"You have a long-lost sibling?" Anya exclaimed. "Oh Dios mío. This is big."

"I know." Peter sighed.

"Wow. I'm speechless, Pete." Harry said. "I... Man..."

"Well, I hope he or she is okay, Tiger." Mary Jane said, touching his shoulder. "Does Gwen know about this?"

"She was the first one I told." Peter answered.

Unknown to them all, Randy was eavesdropping on them curiously, and like the others, was shocked by the news.

"Whoa." he thought. "I've gotta tell people this."

And he did, for by the end of the day, the entire school knew about Peter's long-lost sibling, which had shocked many, including Sally Avril.

"Parker has a sibling?" she questioned, standing with other cheerleaders - minus Liz. "Well, I hope he or she's not as geeky as he is."

At the end of the day, Peter and Gwen stood by the latter's locker, when Flash, Liz and Gloria all came over to them.

"Hey, Parker, you okay?" Flash asked.

The couple turned to the other teens, as Gwen closed her locker.

"What's up?" Gwen asked.

"Petey, we heard about your...long-lost sibling." Liz explained. "How you dealing with it?"

"Still shocking, Liz." Peter answered.

"Well, I won't be surprised if you're distracted during our next tutoring session." Liz assured, for that was in a few days.

"Thanks, Liz." Peter said.

"Guess it must be weird, find out you're not an only child after all these years?" Gloria inquired.

"Yeah, it sure is." Peter nodded. "Look, we better go. We've got stuff to do today."

"Yeah, we'll see you guys later." Gwen said, waving.

The couple both walked off down the hallway, with their arms under each other, as the teens waved at them.

"The news has defiantly travelled fast." Gwen noted.

"Yep." Peter said, as they saw several people looking at them.

(Flashback ends)

Peter sighed as he picked up some popcorn, then held it up. He had been distracted during his tutoring session with Liz, but she understood why and didn't blame him.

"Open wide?" he teased.

"Why, thanks, bugboy." Gwen teased, as he feed her.

"Bugboy?" Peter questioned. "Where'd that come from?"

"Oh, my new pet name for you." Gwen teased. "It's only a joke though."

"Very funny." Peter said. "Besides, Spiders are arachnids, not bugs."

Gwen giggled as she picked up some popcorn and fed him, before they continued to watch the movie. Gwen cuddled next to Peter, who wrapped his left arm around her, looking at her, as she smiled.

"I love you." Gwen whispered.

"I love you too, Gwen." Peter whispered.

They both smiled and kissed each other briefly, before turning back to the movie. Once the movie finished, Peter took the disc out, then put the DVD back into the box, before Gwen came up behind him.

"That was a nice movie." Gwen said.

"Sure was." Peter said. "Beautiful...but not as beautiful as you, Gwen."

"Oh, come here, bugboy?" Gwen asked, grabbing his shirt.

She pulled him towards her and kissed him passionately, which he deepened by wrapping his arms around her. She put her hands in his hair as his ran down her back, before they fell onto the couch, with him on top. They made out for a few minutes, when one their phones rang, making them pull apart and take them out of their pockets.

"It's not mine." Gwen said.

"Ah, it's Jameson." Peter sighed, looking at his. "I'll be right back, Gwen."

He got off her and walked towards the kitchen, then put the phone to his ear.

"Yes, Mr. Jameson?" he asked.

(Daily Bugle)

Jameson was on his phone, while sitting at his desk, with Ned Leeds standing in front of him.

"Parker, I need you in Chinatown with Leeds." Jameson explained.

"Chinatown?" Peter questioned. "For what?"

"They're opening up this new building to help the homeless, and I need a photographer there." Jameson explained. "It opens in just over an hour. Be there!"

"I... Okay, Mr. Jameson." Peter sighed. "But, how do I know which building it is?"

"Just find Leeds, and he'll explain." Jameson explained, before hanging up. "You get over there too, Leeds."

"Right, Boss." Ned understood, nodding.

(Parker House)

Peter lowered his phone, then walked back into the sitting room, as Gwen approached him.

"Something big I presume?" she inquired.

"Can you patrol by yourself for a while?" Peter asked. "Jameson wants me at this grand opening of a new building in Chinatown."

"Sure, Pete." Gwen assured. "I can handle it."

She kissed his cheek, then ran upstairs to get changed, as Peter turned to her happily.

"You're the best thing that happened to me, Gwen." he thought happily.

Meanwhile, in a warehouse at the docks, a bunch of men were standing or sitting near crates.

"So, when's the Boss gonna be here?" one asked, who was brown haired.

"I have no idea, but it shouldn't be much longer." another said, who had a black beard.

Two of the men stood by a door leading into the warehouse, before they spotted a car heading towards them all.

"Here comes something." one of them said, who had a thick moustache, pointing at the car.

All the men turned to the car, before it pulled over in front of them all. They all stared at it, as a bald man in a green suit, with yellow gloves and boots, with the Hydra symbol on the chest came towards him. He was Baron Wolfgang Von Stucker, one of the leading members of the Hydra Organisation.

"Baron Von Stucker?" a man said, who had red hair.

"Ja. I see ve're nearly all here." the Baron said, with a German accent.

"But I thought...the big Boss was coming?" the man reasoned.

"He has somethink else to do right nov." the Baron explained. "Now, let us all get inside."

The men all turned and walked into the warehouse, with the Baron following behind them all. Once inside, two men closed the door, then the Baron and a few others all approached a table in the middle of the room.

"Right, nov ve knov vhy ve're here?" the Baron asked.

"Yes, sir." some men said, as others nodded.

"Yes, Baron." a few said.

"Okay, then, as ve knov, Tony Shtark is sendink out a nev pover generator through zee kity tovards his tover for his next expo." the Baron explained.

The men all nodded.

"Nov, our boss vants us to interkept zee trukk ant shteal it." the Baron explained.

He opened up a map and put it down on the table, showing it was a road map of the Bronx part of New York. On the road areas, were arrows of red, blue and yellow, as they were different routes it might take.

"Vee are to difide up ant monitor all three of these routes, as ve don't knov vhikh one zee drifer vill take." the Baron explained. "Onke ve knov, ve are to interkept zee trukk ant loat zee generator onto a krate beink ridden by a helikopter."

"But how do we obtain the generator?" the red-haired man asked. "I mean, we need someone strong to load it onto the helicopter's crate."

"That's where I come in?" came a voice.

Everyone looked around in shock - expect the Baron.

"Who said that?" the man with the brown hair said.

"Our main muskle for this mission." the Baron explained.

"Which is me." the voice said.

Everyone turned to a figure standing in the shadows, which looked muscular.

"And who are you exactly?" the bearded man asked.

The man stepped out of the shadows, showing he was wearing a black outfit, with a skull-like mask, and a two bones crossed over like an X on his chest.

"Recognize me now?" he asked.

"Crossbones?" some of the men gasped.

"Glad to see I'm still known here." Crossbones said.

"I vas vonderink vhen sie't get here?" the Baron inquired.

"I got here as fast as I could." Crossbones assured.

"Vell, then, sie vill eakh be gifink your assignments in helpink crossbones obtain zee generator in due time." the Baron explained. "Any questions?"

Some of them put up their hands, then the Baron pointed to the one with the moustache.

"Why was Crossbones sent here to help us?" the man asked.

"The Red Skull himself chose me for this." Crossbones answered.

"Only because he's in love with his daughter Sin." one of the men in the back whispered.

Crossbones turned and glared at him, making him flinch.

"Do any of you have a problem with that?" Crossbones asked.

"No, sir." some men said.

"Uh-uh." others said, shaking their heads.

"Nothing." a few said.

"Good." Crossbones snarled.

He folded his arms, as everyone turned to the Baron.

"Any more questions?" he asked.

A few men raised their hands.

"You." the Baron said, pointing at one, who was Asian.

"Just how will we know our positions for when the truck arrives?" the man asked.

"Sie vill all be gifen your knovn assignments later, ant then sie are to all mofe out to your posts." the Baron explained. "Understood?"

"Yes, sir." most of the men said.

"Right, sir." a few said, as the rest nodded.

"Anymore questions?" the Baron asked.

Nobody put up their hands, as the map showed that the truck would be starting to move in the Park of Edgewater area of the Bronx.

"So, do ve all knov vhat to do vhen zee time komes?" the Baron asked.

"Yes, Baron." most of the men said.

"Of course we do." Crossbones said, as the rest nodded.

"Gut. Nov, zee trukk vill be arrifink in zee kity at 2000 hours. Vee must all be in position by that point. Understood?" the Baron asked.

"Yes, sir." some men said.

"Yes, Baron." others said, as Crossbones nodded.

"Gut. Nov, all ve do is vait. Hail Hydra!" the Baron said, doing the salute.

"Hail Hydra!" everyone else shouted, doing the salute.

Later, Peter was outside a building in Chinatown, seeing Aunt May with several other people, as he stood amongst a large crowd.

"Wonder what she's doing here?" he thought.

"Hey, Peter!" someone called.

Peter turned, and saw his fellow employer Ned Leeds approaching him.

"Glad to see you made it." Ned said.

"Thanks." Peter said. "I wonder what this is about."

"Oh, you'll find out." Ned assured.

Peter looked amongst the crowd, and saw Anya's Dad Gilberto among it.

"Guess the Daily Globe's covering this too." Peter thought, as Anya had told him that's where her Dad worked.

He also spotted Miles Morales among it, someone he and Gwen had met a few times as the Spider-Duo in the past couple of months. This made him curious, before he turned back to his Aunt, as an Asian man named Martin Li approached the podium.

"Thank you all for coming." he said, waving. "When I was growing up in Hong Kong, I saw people struggling to survive without a home. I myself was like that was I was a kid. When I came here to the United States, I wanted to make sure that people wouldn't have go through with that. Ever since the Rhino Rampage though, I know that's impossible."

He sighed as everyone looked at him.

"That is why, I'm opening up this place, so the homeless can have a safe haven, until they can get back on their feet." he continued. "And it is with my pleasure, with the aid of my volunteers behind me, to open this FEAST, where the homeless can stay until they can."

He turned around, as two men pulled on a rope each, showing the sign to the building.

"So, as of today, FEAST is open." Martin explained.

The crowd all cheered and whooped, then Peter and a few others began snapping pictures.

"Any questions?" Martin asked.

"Yes?" Ned said, raising his hand up. "Ned Leeds, Daily Bugle. What exactly does FEAST stand for?"

"That's a good question." a male volunteer admitted.

"It stands for Food, Emergency, Aid, Shelter and Training." Martin explained. "Any others?"

Several more reporters put up their hands, including Mr. Corazon.

"Yes?" Martin asked, pointing at him.

"Gilberto Corazon, Daily Globe. How often will this place be open?" Mr. Corazon asked.

"FEAST will open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." Martin explained. "But, nobody volunteering here will work that long. I have set up a schedule for every volunteer here and others, who will take over for them in time. That way, nobody here is working too long and without getting some sleep."

Mr. Corazon, Ned and other reporters wrote that down on their notepads.

"Any more questions?" Martin asked.

Two people put up their hands, while everyone else didn't.

"Yes?" Martin asked, pointing at a woman.

"Roma Torra, NY1 News. What will happen if this place gets too crowded?" Roma asked. "Like, if too many homeless people come to his place, will you be able to handle it?"

"I..." Martin said, as that was a good question. "I'm not sure as of this time. If that does happen, we'll see what we can do. But I do hope that doesn't happen, Ms. Torra."

"Okay." Roma said.

"Are there any more questions?" Martin asked.

Nobody put up their hands.

"I see. Now then, everyone may enter to look around the place." Martin said.

He turned around and walked into the building, followed by Aunt May and the other volunteers, then everyone else began to follow. As Peter approached the building, he accidently bumped into Mr. Corazon, who turned to him.

"Oh, sorry... Peter, what are you doing here?" he asked, recognizing Peter from last Christmas.

"Photos for the Bugle?" Peter explained, holding up his camera. "I take it the Globe's covering this too, since I heard you say it?"

"Si." Mr. Corazon answered. "It's a big event. I wouldn't be surprised if every newspaper and TV station in the city is covering this event."

"Probably the nicest one the city's had in a while, due to all that's happened the past year." Peter noted.

He began to remember the ruined Unity Day Festival last summer, then the Rhino Rampage, which made him see Mr. Corazon's leg looked healed, as he'd been injured during it.

"I see you're out of those crutches, Mr. Corazon." he noted.

"Oh, yeah. I've been out of them for three weeks now." Mr. Corazon explained.

"Well, I'm glad to hear it." Peter said. "I bet Anya's happy you're all healed up?"

"Oh, she is." Mr. Corazon assured. "I am the only family she's got, so if something happened, she'd be on her own."

"I know that feeling." Peter said. "I'd be the same if something happened to my Aunt May. Same with my-"

"Your long-lost sibling?" Mr. Corazon said, shocking Peter. "Anya told me about that."

"Oh." Peter said. "Well, yeah, when I finally meet him or her."

"You know, when her Mother - Sofia - died, I became depressed for a while." Mr. Corazon explained. "Started drinking you might say."

Peter looked bewildered by that news, as Ned stared at them both.

"After Anya had seen me and saw how upset she was though, I got help and was able to stop, after a few months." Mr. Corazon sighed. "I realized I had to live for her sake."

"I think Gwen's Dad would understand, since he's a widower too." Peter said. "Why don't you talk to him later. Maybe he can tell you how he coped, as I'm sure it was different from you. I mean, Gwen's told me her Dad's never drunk in his life."

Mr. Corazon looked at him, thinking about what he said.

"You know, maybe I will, after this though." he said. "Good thing Anya told me the address. Well, I better get inside."

He walked off inside the building, as Ned came over to Peter.

"You know that man, Pete?" Ned inquired.

"I'm friends with his daughter." Peter explained. "I only met him last Christmas though."

"Oh." Ned understood. "Well, come on. We better get inside and look around."

They both walked inside and looked around, seeing the place looked like a shelter for people, then Ned turned to Peter.

"You get some more pictures of this place." Ned explained. "I'm gonna interview Mr. Li and some of the volunteers."

"Okay." Peter understood.

They both separated and walked off in different directions, Ned approaching Martin Li, while Peter began snapping pictures. He snapped one of some stretcher beds near the right window, then some cupboards and tables, before a bunch of people came over to them. He moved away so they could all look, then he snapped a picture of some bunkbeds and wheelchairs, then one of some clothes racks.

"Hmm? Cleaver, in case they don't have many clothes." he thought. "Nice."

He looked around, seeing people at the tables, and a big TV on top of one of the walls, which was broadcasting a News bulletin.

"Well, at least they can see what's happening in the city." he thought.

He turned as he looked around, seeing Ned, Mr. Corazon and other reporters all following Martin Li towards a door with a big glass window on, and blind shutters.

"Now, now, everyone, I promise I'll explain everything." Martin promised. "I just need to get something from my office first, then take a phone call, and then I'll let you in to answer my questions."

He opened the door, then walked inside, before closing it behind him, with the reporters all seeing 'Martin Li, Owner' on a plaque on it.

"Guess we'll have to wait." Ned sighed.

"Well, I might as well get a drink while I'm waiting." Mr. Corazon said. "Who knows how long he'll be in there."

They all sighed and walked off, Ned seeing Martin sit down behind the desk as he did.

Peter smiled, before he saw Miles approach the woman who looked almost exactly like him.

"Miles, why don't you help with the water." she suggested.

"Okay, Mom." Miles said, as he turned and walked off.

"Mom?" Peter thought. "Well, that explains why he's here."

Mrs. Morales began putting glasses on the table, as Peter turned and saw Ned chatting with one of the volunteers.

"Must be his way of keeping busy if he can't talk to Mr. Li." Peter thought.

He looked around, and then spotted some of the workers sorting out a table, which had all sorts of food on, which he then took a photo of.

Nearby, Aunt May approached Mrs. Morales, who stood by a table, making coffee, just as Miles came back.

"I've got the water, Mom." Miles said.

"Thanks." his Mom said.

"What a nice helper you have there." Aunt May noted.

Miles and his Mom turned to her.

"Thanks. Oh, I'm Rio Morales." Mrs. Morales said, holding her hand. "This is my son, Miles."

"May Parker." Aunt May said, shaking it. "Nice to meet you."

"Thanks. Do you have any children?" Rio asked.

"No. I do have a nephew though." Aunt May said. "He's been with me since his parents died."

"Oh... What about your husband?" Rio asked. "What does he do?"

Aunt May cried slightly as the thought of her husband Ben.

"He...he died over a year ago." she wept. "Killed by a car-jacker."

"Oh, I'm sorry." Rio said, touching her shoulder. "What was his name?"

"Ben." Aunt May sighed. "I miss him everyday."

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Parker." Miles said. "My Dad's a Cop. If that creep's still-"

"He's not. He was caught the night he did it." Aunt May assured.

"Oh..." Miles said.

Peter came over to them all.

"Hey, Aunt May." he said.

"Peter, what are you..? Wait, the Daily Bugle?" Aunt May inquired, wanting to know why he was here.

"Yep." Peter answered. "You gonna introduce us?"

"Oh, Rio, Miles, this is my nephew, Peter." Aunt May explained. "Peter, this is Rio Morales and her son, Miles."

"Nice to you meet you." Peter said.

He held his hand out, which Rio shook, followed by Miles.

"You work at the Bugle?" Miles inquired.

"Yeah. Had to help my Aunt with the bills after Uncle Ben died last year." Peter explained.

"Well, that's sure grown up of you." Rio commented. "I wish Miles would perhaps do something like that."

Peter blushed, while Miles looked annoyed.

"Well, maybe he will, in a little time that is." Peter said. "I mean, I only took the job since it's just me and Aunt May."

"Oh...I see." Rio said. "I guess if something happened to me or Jeff, Miles would do something similar."

"Oh, I would, Mom." Miles assured.

Rio smiled at him, as Aunt May turned to Peter.

"Why don't you two boys take another look around." Aunt May suggested. "We still have to get sorted out here."

"Okay." Peter said. "You okay with that?"

"Sure." Miles said.

They both walked off as Aunt May and Rio smiled at them, before they began sorting out the water into cups.

"I think you've raised a fine nephew, May." Rio said.

"Thanks." Aunt May said, embarrassed. "I'm sure Miles is the same."

"Well, maybe he will, in a few years." Rio sighed. "Miles isn't very bright and was often bullied at his old school."

"So was my Peter, but not as much as he used to." Aunt May said. "Wait, old school?"

"Due to my new work here, and his Dad transferring jobs, we've had to transfer him." Rio explained. "I hope he isn't treat bad at his new school."

"When does he start?" Aunt May asked.

"On Monday." Rio answered.

Aunt May looked at her, as they both kept on talking.

Nearby, Peter and Miles both stopped near a water cooler, Miles looking nervous, which Peter noticed.

"Hey, you okay?" Peter asked.

"Yeah, just nervous." Miles said.

"Why?" Peter inquired. "It can't be just because of this?"

"No, it's not. I'm transferring school on Monday. I'll be at Midtown High." Miles explained, putting his head down.

"You're transferring to Midtown?" Peter inquired.

"Yeah." Miles sighed. "My old school was trashed during Trask's rampage in Brooklyn. And since my Dad transferred jobs, I have to transfer as well. Everyone else who went will get to go somewhere else until it's rebuilt. I'll be away from all my friends."

"Well, I go to Midtown." Peter said. "I'm a Jr year."

"You do?" Miles asked, looking up. "Well, I'm only a second year. Doubt you'll be able to help."

"Hey, I have a friend in that year." Peter assured. "I'm sure she'll help you get around."

"You think so?" Miles asked.

"Hey, I helped her out when she transferred last Autumn. I'm pretty sure she'll do the same since she's been in your shoes." Peter assured.

"Well, thanks." Miles said. "Another reason for the transfer is due to Mom's new job and her volunteer work here. We had to move to a closer area."

"Makes sense I guess." Peter said. "You don't wanna be up very early in the morning just for school and that."

Miles smiled at the joke, then they both turned as Aunt May came over to them both.

"Um, I'll leave you two alone." Miles said, walking off.

Peter looked at him, before turning to his Aunt.

"I should've figured the Bugle would be covering the event." she said. "But, I thought you were spending time with Gwen."

"Well, Jameson called and told me to come here." Peter explained. "Turns out no one else was available. We'd finished the movie anyway, so she said she'd sort some stuff out."

"Oh, how nice of her." Aunt May said. "You two really are soulmates."

Peter blushed, embarrassed, but he knew he loved Gwen with his whole heart, like to the point where he couldn't live without her. If it weren't for the fact she was like him, and had a strong healing factor, he'd been worried if something happened that could kill her.

"You okay?" Aunt May asked.

"Yeah. Um, Aunt May, why are you doing this?" Peter asked. "I mean-"

"Peter, I know your job helps us with the bills and all that, but I have to do my bit as well." Aunt May explained. "And besides, you need to start saving up for a collage fund, since next year's your last year in High School."

Peter looked at her, thinking about what she said, but saw her point. Even with his smarts, there was a chance he might not get a scholarship for a collage, and the same with Gwen, making him realize he'd have to tell her that.

"Okay. I'll minus 25% off each paycheque I make to save up." Peter said. "The rest can go towards the bills and the house...if that's okay with you? I mean, it wouldn't be fair for me to take all the money I make."

"Okay, Peter, that's a deal." Aunt May said, shaking his hand. "Well, I better get to work."

She turned and walked off towards a table with food on, making her smile.

"Uncle Ben would do the same thing if he was still here." he thought.

He walked off and looked around the place again, seeing the workers sorting all sorts of stuff out. He then turned to the door as it he heard it open, and saw Gwen coming towards him.

"Gwen, what are you doing here?" Peter asked quietly.

"I patrolled for over two hours, and it was pretty quiet." Gwen whispered. "All I did was stop a mugging and a car thief. Thought I'd come over and see what this is about."

"Well, okay." Peter said.

Miles came over to them both, as they turned to him, Gwen recognizing him from the Sentinel attack in Brooklyn, as she'd saved his life that night.

"Pete, who's this?" Miles asked.

"Oh, Miles, this is Gwen Stacy, my girlfriend." Peter explained. "Gwen, this is Miles. His Mom's one of the workers here."

"Nice to meet you, Miles." Gwen said, holding her hand out.

Miles shook it and smiled.

"So, why are you here?" Gwen asked.

"My Mom's one of the workers." Miles explained. "And my Dad's at work, so there's no one to look after me."

"Oh... How old are you?" Gwen asked curiously.

"15." Miles answered. "My parents are a bit protective due to all that's happened in the past year, especially after that Rhino Rampage."

"Oh, tell us about it." Peter said. "With all the weird stuff going on, I'm not surprised if most parents are like that."

"Glad my Dad's not like that." Gwen said. "He may be a little, but not much."

"What about your Mom?" Miles asked.

"She died about six years ago." Gwen sighed.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Miles said. "That's... That's harsh."

"Thanks." Gwen said.

Peter wrapped his arm around her, making her smile and turn to him.

"Um, could you two excuse me a minute?" Peter asked. "I need to call someone."

"Sure, Pete." Gwen said, before kissing his cheek.

Peter turned and walked away, bringing out his phone as he did, then he dialled Anya's number.

"So, how long have you two been together?" Miles asked.

"Nearly a year now." Gwen answered. "Our anniversary's next month."

"Oh..." Miles said.

"But we've known each other longer than that." Gwen said. "We were friends for years before it grew into what we are now."

Miles looked at her bewildered.

Peter held his phone to his ear, talking to Anya.

"Hi, Peter. What's up?" Anya asked.

"Anya, I was wondering if you'd do me a favour?" Peter asked.

"Sure. What?" Anya asked.

"Well, on Monday, Midtown's getting a new student, and he'll be in your year." Peter explained.

"Oh, I get it." Anya said. "You want me to show him around, is that it?"

"Yeah." Peter said. "I just met with my Aunt May. Turns out her and his Mom have started working together at this new shelter in Chinatown."

"Oh, I see. Well, okay, Pete. You and your friends helped me out when I transferred." Anya recalled. "Only fair I help with this new kid."

"Thanks, Anya." Peter said. "See you."

He hung up and lowered his phone, then turned to Gwen and Miles, who were still talking.

"You're Dad's a Cop?" Gwen asked. "So's mine."

"Really?" Miles asked.

"Yep." Gwen confirmed. "He's a Capt. Been on the force since before I was born."

"Well, mine's a Sgt.. Been on since before I was born too." Miles explained. "He's transferring to a different precinct through, so we had to move from Brooklyn."

Peter came over to them both.

"I see you two are getting along?" he noted.

"Yeah. Both our Dads are Cops." Gwen said.

"I know, I heard." Peter smirked. "Some coincidence."

"Yep, sure is." Gwen agreed.

"Hey, Miles, I've called my friend. She said she'd be more than willing to help you get around Midtown." Peter said.

"Thanks." Miles said. "I apricate it."

"Who'd you call?" Gwen asked.

"Anya." Peter said. "Figured it makes sense, since she transferred last Autum."

"True." Gwen agreed. "It sure does."

"Well, nice meeting you both." Miles said. "Guess I'll see you at school then?"

"I guess we will." Gwen smiled. "See you, Miles."

Miles turned and walked off, before Gwen and Peter saw Aunt May making one of the beds nearby.

"Is that Aunt May?" Gwen asked.

"Yeah. She's volunteering here too." Peter said. "Says I need to start saving up for Collage."

"Hmm? I guess I better too then." Gwen agreed. "We do only have a year and a half of school left. I guess I better start job-hunting."

Peter smiled before his phone rang, making him take it out of his pocket.

"I'll be right back, Gwen." he promised.

He turned and walked off, then held up his phone, not recognizing the caller, before he put it to his ear.

"Hello?" he said.

"Hi, kid." came a familiar voice.

Peter gasped, for it was none other than Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man.

"Mr. Stark?" he said quietly. "This is a surprise?"

"Figured you'd be, kid." Tony said. "Can you talk louder though?"

"Uh, not quite." Peter said. "I'm in the middle of a building with lots of people."

"Oh... Well, look, I'd like to have a word with you and Gwen later, if that's okay." Tony explained.

"Uh... Okay, but where?" Peter asked.

"Avengers Tower, and be in costume." Tony explained. "I'll be waiting on the balcony."

"Okay." Peter whispered.

He hung up and put his phone away, then turned to Gwen, as he saw Miles talking with his Mom.

"What was that about?" Gwen asked.

"It's Mr. Stark. He wants us to meet him at the tower later." Peter explained quietly.

"He does? What for?" Gwen whispered.

"I don't know." Peter said quietly. "We better get over there after I've sent the pictures to the Bugle."

"Okay." Gwen said.

They both turned and looked around at the place, when Ned came over to Peter.

"I got all the stuff I need." Ned explained. "I'll head to the Bugle and began my work. You head home and delvolop the pictures, Peter."

"Okay, Ned." Peter said.

Ned turned and walked past them both.

"Well, that was quick." Gwen said. "Come on, Pete."

She took his hand and led him towards the door, when Aunt May spotted them both.

"Peter, you going now?" she asked.

Gwen gasped as she and Peter stopped, before they turned around.

"Oh, Gwen, I see you came to visit." Aunt May said.

"Sure." Gwen said. "When Peter told me he was here for the Bugle, I thought I'd come over after sorting out my stuff."

"Oh, I see." Aunt May said.

"Well, look, we're going, Aunt May." Peter said, holding up his camera. "Gonna get these developed, and then we're gonna hit the town."

"Hit the town?" Aunt May questioned, suspiciously.

"He's only joking." Gwen assured. "He means go out on the town."

"Oh, okay." Aunt May said. "I might be here for a while, Peter, so if the house is empty, you know why."

"Understood, Aunt May." Peter said.

Aunt May smiled as her nephew and his girlfriend both turned and left, waving at them, when Rio came towards her.

"That your nephew's girlfriend?" she asked.

"Yeah." Aunt May sighed. "Seeing them reminds me of when Ben and I were young."

"I guess if I see Miles with someone someday, it'll remind me of me and Jeff." Rio said.

Both women turned and walked away to continue helping around the place.

Back at the docks, Crossbones was waiting outside the warehouse, when the brown-haired man came out.

"I'll be flying you over when we learn the location of the truck." the man explained.

"Right." Crossbones understood. "And the others?"

"They're all moving into position now." the man explained. "All we have to do now, is wait till we know which route it's taking."

Crossbones nodded, before they both walked off towards a helicopter on a landing pad nearby, then they both got into it. The man put on the pilot's helmet, then they both strapped in, waiting for the signal from the other agents.

Later, both Spider-Man and Ghost Spider were swinging through the city, on their way to the Avengers Tower.

"So, why do you think Mr. Stark wants to meet us?" Ghost Spider asked.

"I have no idea." Spider-Man said. "We'll find out when we get there. It's a good thing we're almost there."

"Touche." Ghost Spider said. "I'll see you there, Spidey!"

Spider-Man laughed as she raced ahead, having accepted he'd never beat her in a race, as she was faster and more agile than he was.

After five more minutes of swinging, they both saw the Avengers Tower directly ahead of them.

"Race you there, Spidey!" Ghost Spider dared.

"Ha! We both know you're faster!" Spider-Man joked, as they kept on swinging.

Once they both landed on the platform on the tower, they saw Capt. America, Iron Man and Thor all waiting for them.

"Glad to see you both made it." Iron Man said, as his helmet retracted.

"So, why'd you wanna see us both?" Spider-Man asked.

"Kids, we've all had a talk, and would like to offer you both a spot on the team." Tony explained, as Capt. America and Thor nodded.

Spider-Man and Ghost Spider both turned to each other, shocked by the offer, not knowing what to say about accpeting it or not.

To be continued...

A/N: I got rid of the pink dye in Gwen's hair because I've realized my Gwen's not like her counterpart in Marvel Rising or Earth 65, who's in a band. She's more like the others, being a scientist, who doesn't have the pink dye in their hair. She'll still have it in some points though, as I plan to do some flashback scenes, which take place in my earlier seasons or before that.
