Arthur Arc, known as the invincible shield, watched as his wife Glynda Arc Goodwitch felt a kick on her stomach. After their first three daughters, Glynda was surprised that they were finally having a boy. That along with his sisters' birth were the happiest moments of his life. "Our little dragon slayer will be here soon." Glynda explained as she rubbed her swollen belly.

She had already planned on naming their son after the first Arc. The mythical hero who had slain the mighty elder dragon who had become corrupted in Grimm essence. The same one who had given everything to kill it in order to save his wife. The blood of the dragon flowed through their veins. At least that was what the story had told them. Honestly he did not believe it but his wife wanted their boy to be strong and that is what he would be. "He is already putting up such a fight. It will be amazing if he doesn't take after you." Arthur stated as he placed his arms around his wife from behind.

"Oh stop it. I wasn't that bad." Glynda complained to her husband.

"That bad? When I first got the courage to ask you out, you put me through a wall." Arthur laughed out as his wife blushed in embarrassment.

"How is it my fault?" Glynda complained. "You and Belladonna were always joking around about how you were going to marry a Schnee and do a hostile takeover. I thought it was a prank that you were forced into."

"Still, wish one of us followed through with that..." He stated as he heard about the horrible things the company was doing to faunus. "Jacque Gélé is going to cause a collapse if he doesn't stop."

"Still cannot believe your father helped Ghira's in the revolution." Glynda huffed out.

"Well, people do crazier things for love." Arthur stated as he knew his mother would complain about the same thing.

"I am worried." Glynda stated as she felt like something bad was going to happen and stopped her husband from stating what he was going to do. "I know, I know it is just nerves, but I can't shake it."

"It will be fine, we have 3 more weeks until he is due. All the doctors said he is a healthy baby boy." Arthur said, trying to calm her nerves.

"You're right, I love you." Glynda sighed, relaxing into his embrace.

"And I love you." Arthur said as he held his wife.

He would make a deal with the devil if it meant keeping his family safe. If only he knew that it was literally going to happen.

5 years after Jaune's birth

Salem, the queen of the Grimm was many things. The embodiment of hatred, sword of vengeance, queen of the dead kingdom, though almost no one knew this, she was also a loving mother. Her daughters and son she had with Ozma were the light she needed. It was why she thanked her stars that she hid her son's birth from him as that fateful night happened. If she did not have her son, well her wrath would have summoned millions of Grimm.

Still, she had missed her family. Jaune had always been the light in her dark world. He was the best of both her and Ozma. He even killed the last known Dragon King Bahamut in single combat all to save the love of his life. Though bathing in the blood of a dragon had given him some dragon-like appearances, he had always made time for family. She had loved him and his family as she watched over them for decades. No Grimm ever went after them as they knew, going after the Arcs was a surefire way to end their own existence. She even convinced the elder Grimm to stay away from their home. She could not deny the Grimm if her family walked into the nest of a Grimm.

Still, Salem had watched them as she schemed against the end of the world. 'As much of a big picture kind of guy Ozma is, he is horribly narrow sighted.' She had always thought as multiple times she had seen him make moves that led to deaths of thousands. The faunus revolution was such a time. Had Ozma not interfered, the men and women would not have died. The White Fang would not have existed.

Regardless she was proud of her descendants constantly being in the middle of it all. Always on the side of justice and right. So, when she had heard that the next male of the Arc family was going to be born, she was overjoyed. It was because despite all of it, they had agreed on using her son's name for the new babe. With that she wished more than anything that would allow her to be there to see the new Jaune Arc make a name for himself. Of course she would use magic and a disguise lest Ozma find out.

Her happiness quickly turned to anger than panic and she saw for the first time the Grimm disobey her orders. They attacked the Arc family home.

Glynda sat with her swollen belly for the seventh and last time, if she had anything to do about it. Four years had passed since she had Jaune, and as much as she wouldn't admit it, he was the center of her heart. Even now after having twins, and finally her newest daughter, she still held him deeply. Her precious son was going to be exactly what she feared however. He already loved the stories his father and grandfather told him of their adventures. She saw the glint in his eye at the wonder of hearing their stories. "The blood of a dragon is in all of us, my little slayer. You are all destined to do greatness. I just know it." She remembered Jaune's grandfather telling him.

And how can she argue with it? Her oldest daughters were already making a name for themselves. At thirteen, Saphron is already causing a ruckus in middle school by beating up guys who are picking on her friends. At ten, Rouge had already made clothes for her younger siblings. The little future fashionista was forcing Jaune to be her living dress up doll, much to her young boy's anger. Then there was Orancia, her little genius. At seven years old she had already been reading books about physics and experimenting on gravity. She smiled at the memory of her experiment accidently having a pie fall onto Jaune as he happened to walk by. The twins after Jaune had already shown their personalities at the age of three. Viola was already headstrong and brash, she constantly was pushing her brother to take her outside. Meanwhile Indiona was quiet but seemed to love music. She of course had her favorite song, which only Jaune could sing right to her. She just hoped that their newest baby would be on the softer side.

Lost in her thoughts Glynda almost missed the alarm sounding out in the distance. First was a small ring, then it grew louder until it was bell tolling. 'Grimm attack...' She thought as she got up from her chair. Despite being seven months pregnant, Glynda was a Huntress. She knew what to do in these times. She just prayed that her and her husband were enough.

Jaune walked out into the forest around his house in wonder. He always wanted to be a hero, just like his ancestor. His grandfather had shown him their family's weapons at a young age showing how the blade gleamed in the sun. It was then that Jaune knew he wanted to carry on the Arc tradition of being a Hunter. So everyday from 11 to 2 he would wander around the forest behind his house and use the sticks he found as swords. He imagined himself fighting hordes of monsters, legions of enemy armies, and even a dragon to defend his home, family and future wife. "A dragon does not yield, they do not run, they stand and fight to protect what is theirs. That is the Arc way, which is why we never go back on our word. It is our honor. Our pride. And you, my little dragon, will show the world the new Era of the Arcs." He remembered his grandfather telling him as he sat on his lap listening to all his stories.

He is five now, but soon he will be six. He had only a couple more years before his father had promised to train him. So Jaune traveled into the forest. He knew about the creatures of Grimm that hid in the shadows, always being lured to despair and hate, and yet they never ventured to his family's village. His father said it was because of the dragon's blood that flowed through their veins. He walked towards his small training area smiling as he saw none of his sisters nearby. He grabbed his stick swinging it at the trees. He always felt his blood pulsing whenever he swung his stick sword. He couldn't wait for his father to train him.

While he was practicing, a growl appeared in the shadows. A beowolf stalked the poor boy, hunger driven it moved closer. Unable to stop itself any longer. It pounced.

Arthur cut down the last beowolf as Glynda threw a rock at Boarbatusk. He was glad that the Grimm seemed scared of them and did not swarm them. He sighed as the last of the Grimm died. "Mom! Dad! Jaune is missing!" He heard his oldest daughter cry out.

Arthur felt his heart sink as heard that. He had known his son was out in the forest training. He never stopped him and was proud of how his son trained. "Arthur..." Glynda said with tears in her eyes.

"I will find him." He said running out to the spot he knew where his son would be.

He ran, using all his aura possible to push himself harder. He passed trees as he made it to his son's training area. He saw the blood before he saw a strange woman holding her son. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Arthur rushed towards the strange woman.

Swinging his sword, Arthur brought the sword down at what he assumed was a Grimm. The sword came down as he put his entire strength into the slash, hoping beyond hope that he could help his son. The woman blocked the blade with her hand. "If you wish to save your son then I suggest you stop this foolishness. After all, he is our successor." The woman said as her hood fell off.

Arthur froze as he saw the grimmified woman. He had heard the stories of this woman as it was passed down from his ancestors. He never believed them until now. In her arms was his son with a claw mark across his chest. "I can save him, you know." The woman said. "Unfortunately it would change him. Are you willing to take the risk?"

"Please, do anything you can..." Arthur said.

"I have to unlock his aura." The woman said. "He will need training afterwards. I wish you luck afterwards."

12 years Later

Jaune Arc stood waiting for the bullhead to land as he was finally on his way to Beacon Academy. 'Standing was a strong term.' He thought as he puked again from his motion sickness. 'If only mom lets me fly here.' He thought as the bullhead lurked to the side. 'Nooooooo. I couldn't make an awesome entrance with my wings. Instead I should meet my fellow students... the grand 2 of them.'

"Hey are you ok?" He heard from behind him as he curled up on the ground with a trash bin next to him.

"Just peachy..." Jaune tried to reply before his stomach did another flip almost causing him to hurl. Damn his draconic senses.

"Do you need us to get anything?" A black haired girl wearing a red hood with Silver eyes asked.

"Can you just tell me how long of this torture do I have left?" Jaune complained.

"Yang, my sister says we have 10 minutes." She states as Jaune groans again. "Oh, I forgot I am Ruby, Ruby Rose!"

"Jaune Arc. Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue." Jaune said in a moment of no stomach pain.

"Nice to meet you Jaune." Ruby said as a Blonde haired girl came in.

"Ruby, there you are. I see you are with Barf Boy. Is everything ok?" Yang asked, looking at her sister.

"Yep. Jaune here gets motion sick." Ruby said as she turned to her sister.

"More like a metal box sick." Jaune groaned as his stomach did another flip.

"It looks like you are feeling puketacular!" Yang chuckled at her joke before she got a groan from Ruby and a chuckle from Jaune.

"Yang, please." Ruby asked not wanting to be embarrassed.

"Why, it seemed to heave up his spirits." She tried as she got another laugh from Jaune.

"If I wasn't so sick, I would applaud you." Jaune said as he enjoyed bad jokes much to his sisters and mom's anger.

Before Ruby could groan again, the bullhead landed. Instantly curing Jaune. "Thank god!" They heard him say as he sprinted out to the ground.

"Rubes, I think we found someone even faster than you." Yang said as she looked at her sister.

As they walked out, they saw Jaune kissing the ground. "I am never getting in one of those again." He was muttering as he finally got up.

"Well, as much as I love to Yang out. I need to go meet some friends. Later Rubes. Nice to meet you Jaune." Yang said as she finally got off the plane.

"Wow, I didn't know you hated flying so much." Ruby said as she walked up next to Jaune.

"Oh, I don't. I hate planes." Jaune stated as he adjusted his armor and sword and shield starting to head towards the auditorium for their first day.

"But you need to be in one in order to fly?" Ruby questioned as they started to walk.

"Well, technically I don't need one." Jaune said as he started his semblance and poured out some water. "My semblance helps with that."

Ruby watched as water floated in the air. Ruby was so amazed that she didn't realize until it was too late that a pile of suitcases were in her walkway, and tripped on them.

"Watch where you are going." A girl with white hair pulled up in a ponytail cried out.

"I am sorry!" Ruby cried out as she got up.

"You should be, if something would have happened, this entire area would have been a crater from the explosion of dust." The girl replied.

"Listen princess, I said I was sorry." Ruby countered back.

"Heiress actually." A girl with long black hair, yellow eyes and a black bow. "Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee corporation, one of the largest producers of dust in the world."

"Finally some recognition." Weiss smugly said.

"That is the same one who's practices are considered questionable and controversial due to their labor practices and business partners." Jaune said, stepping up to defend his first friend.

"Wha... how dare..." Weiss sputtered at the accusation.

"Technically rich girl, you shouldn't have your stuff here. They told us to leave anything extra besides a sleeping bag, extra clothes, and our equipment. The rest should have been left at the docking area." Jaune said, defending Ruby.

"Excuse me! How dare you think that I do not need this." Weiss called out as Jaune started to turn towards the girl who came to Ruby's rescue.

"Just telling you the guidelines they sent to us all." Jaune said nonchalantly. "Jaune Arc."

"Blake Belladonna" The girl said, nodding her head walking away.

"Jaune, wait up!" Ruby called out chasing after him after apologized again.

"That was amazing, Jaune! I was so flustered about all of that, I just froze. You handled it like a hero!" Ruby stated as she was happy her first friend in Beacon helped her.

"It is no big deal." Jaune explained as he slowly walked next to Ruby. "Would go to bat for a friend any time. Besides, that girl needs an attitude check."

"You think of me as a friend?" Ruby asked, hiding her face in her hood as she blushed.

"Of course! My first real friend besides my sisters." Jaune said as he remembered his seven sisters. "We should head to the auditorium. We have orientation."
