All they wanted were answers. But they wouldn't be given, at least not at that moment. Rashid had gone to see a doctor in Auradon, while Mal continued to search for answers, but the only person who could tell him had been asleep for hours.
"The doctor went to examine the baby first."
Rashid informed Mal.
"Okay, Clarion and Fairy Godmother?"
She managed to smile, but her concern was still alive.
"Sleeping, fairies sleep a lot. You of all people know that."
"Yeah."
"You should do that too. I'm sure the king would like to have you around, after all this mess."
And so, the woman did. She went over to Ben, who was sitting on the floor of one of the island's alleyways, sat down between his legs, leaned back against his chest, he kissed her on the head and Mal felt his arms go around her. That was all she needed.

Auradon
Agatha was a perfectionist, Harry said it was one of her most beautiful qualities, or defects. However, it had to be that way, since she was the daughter of two great sorcerers and spells couldn't be faulty.
As she watched the smoke appear for the third time in a row, her anger only grew. It couldn't happen, every ingredient was right, every word, the way it was recited, everything, without any error, but for some reason the magic wasn't working. It was a great trick, but it had to work.
The first part of her plan consisted of putting an end to all the good magic, in other words, taking magic away from all the people who used it for good, but she knew that this alone wouldn't affect the Fairy Tales completely, since most of them had bad magic in their history too, and Agatha wanted to put an end to them all, hence her Grand Finale. The last spell would separate the soul mates and prevent them from being reunited. A great spell would prevent them from even touching.
Even if she didn't know it, most people were happy that these spells didn't work now, but it was only temporary. At some point she would be able to make her spells work.

Isle of the Lost
"I'm sorry, but he needs surgery." The doctor told Evie and Doug about their son. "It was a jasper stone that hit him and entered his blood system. I managed to reassure him and heal the pain, but he needs an operation anyway."
"What if he doesn't have the surgery?"
Doug asked, as the woman didn't know what to say.
"I'm afraid that's not an option. Well, a hospital would be ideal, but I have some things in Auradon I can bring here and at least try."
"All right, we'll do that."
Evie replied, trying to hold back her tears.
This war was already going too far...
Later in the evening, all those refugees were hungry and needed to be accommodated, so Adam and Belle were trying to provide for them. Ben, on the other hand, was talking to the islanders in an attempt to explain everything that was happening to them.
"Attention everyone! The older fairies will be accommodated in Maleficent's old house." Adam said. "The younger fairies are going to Cruella's house, as are the children." And oddly enough, Carlos' mother made room for them. Some still feared Agatha. "Care is still being provided at Dragon Hall, so any injured wings or other injuries will be treated there. I would also ask that before you go to your seats you stay here for dinner."
Ben didn't have much trouble explaining the situation, as many of the story's biggest villains either feared what the witch might do or simply didn't care. Unlike Belle, who had to go in search of food and suffered a lot to get it. The Isle of the Lost was much better than it had been when the boys lived there, but it was still very difficult to live.
Everyone went to eat whatever it was, while Ben, Mal and Rashid stayed where they were, because the "son" of the laughing cat really wanted to tell Mal that they needed to go after the Genie before the apocalypse began. However, he was afraid to talk to her, as she was visibly shaken.
"I was talking to Alice before everything happened."
Ben said, breaking the silence.
"Really?"
Rashid asked incredulously.
"Yes, she was telling me where Harry is."
It seemed that only he and Ben were involved in the discussion, as Mal's mind was far from it.
"What? So, you know where he is?"
Rashid said, happy that he might be alive.
Ben looked at the woman lying on his shoulder with her head wandering and decided to talk to him through a napkin and pen on the table.
"Yes, he's in New Orleans."
"Is he all right?"
"Yes, he's living in the Swamp helping the queen Tiana with the survivors there."
"What about his memory?"
" He have no idea that he was once king. Do you think you could send me there?"
"Do you want to go after Harry?"
"Yes"
"And Mal?"
"Our secret for now."
"All right, we'll see about that tomorrow."
The two looked at each other in agreement and pretended that nothing had happened. Mal was still in his own world without even noticing the paper.
"When are you going?"
Ben asked surprisingly, trying to bring Mal into the conversation.
"Huh?"
Mal came back from his absent-minded thoughts.
"When are you going after the Genie?"
"What do you mean?"
"We're still missing a master, aren't we?"
"Really Mal, since Ben brought it up, we need to go soon, I'm afraid Agatha already knew about the plan."
"Now?"
She asked, not wanting to leave everyone alone, especially Evie.
"We're out of time, baby."
Ben tried to argue.
"We don't even know the Genie's whereabouts."
Mal tried to persuade.
"Isn't he in Agrabah?"
Rashid asked
"No, the Genius is part of the council and is a teacher at Auradon Prep."
Ben clarified.
"So, it's a lot worse than I thought."
"Why?"
"We don't have time to look for him and apparently there's no internet signal here."
"Thank my father."
"Is he the only one who can pass on the magic?"
"Logically, yes... unless..."
"Unless what?
Mal asked, already worried about what the man might say.
"I hate you Mal..."
Rashid would do something that was certainly far from his will...
