The next morning, Eddie woke up to find Rachel's side of the bed empty. The time on the clock read 5:45AM. She was already up.

He clambered out of bed, yawning as he went into the ensuite to brush his teeth.

Meanwhile, Rachel was downstairs, drinking a cup of tea whilst looking at her emails.

She'd checked on Philip the minute she'd woken up. He was fast asleep, snoring loudly. And he'd been sick again. Rachel had taken the bin he'd vomited into and washed it out, leaving it to soak in disinfectant. She was thankful that at least this time, he hadn't been sick on her.

She'd thought about leaving him at home today, letting him have the day off school to recover. But he wasn't exactly ill, was he? He was just hung-over. That wasn't an excuse to have a day off school. It would be a regular occurrence if she wasn't strict with him now. Philip going to school hung over was part of him learning his lesson.

Eddie walked into the kitchen, his face lighting up when he saw that beautiful smile spreading across Rachel's face. He walked over to her, kissing her gently.

"Morning" he whispered, snaking his arms around her waist

She leaned back into him with a contented sigh

"How's Philip?" he asked

"Asleep. He was sick again" she explained, handing him a coffee

"He'll be fine, Rach" Eddie reassured, taking the coffee from her gratefully

"Oh I know he will. He's not having the day off. I'll drag him into school if I have to" she replied defiantly

Eddie raised an eyebrow

"Really?"

"Yes, Eddie! He has to learn he's not going to get away with things like this! Melissa might have let him slip through the net, but I won't!" Rachel nodded

"I'll go and wake him up then" Eddie decided

He headed back upstairs, walking into Philip's room.

"Philip? Time to wake up, mate" he said from the doorway

Philip stirred with a groan, holding a hand to his head. He didn't feel well at all.

"Do I have to?" he mumbled

"Yes, you do. Come on, you've got twenty minutes" Eddie confirmed, walking out of the room again

"He's just getting up" he informed Rachel when he got downstairs

"You don't mess about, do you?" she chuckled

Eddie smiled

"Is he in as bad a shape as I thought?" she asked, sipping her tea

"Worse I think"

Rachel sighed

"I'll make him some toast" she decided, putting two slices of bread into the toaster

Minutes later, Philip stalked into the kitchen, looking deathly pale. He squinted, the bright lights of the kitchen sending pain shooting through his head.

Rachel handed him a plate of toast, some aspirin and a glass of water as he sat down at the table. He could tell by the way she practically threw it at him that she was furious with him. But he didn't care. He'd had fun.

"Eat that, drink your water and then get your school bag" Rachel mumbled, refusing to look at him as she busied herself with shutting down her laptop

"I thought you're not allowed into school if you're sick?" Philip responded cheekily

Rachel glared at him

"That's if you're ill, Philip. You're not ill or contagious, you're hung-over. There's a difference!" she shot back

"But,"

"You're going to school, Philip! End of!" she snapped

Philip rolled his eyes

"And you're grounded for the next two weeks" she added

"What?! Rachel, that's not fair!" he whined

"I don't care, Philip! If you do things like this, you need to accept the consequences!"

"Fine, whatever" Philip grumbled

"Rachel's right, Philip. You can't do things like this and expect to get away with it" Eddie piped up

"But I didn't do anything!" Philip argued

Rachel scoffed

"Philip, you had alcohol and drugs! You're fifteen! It's not acceptable! I won't have it, do you understand me?"

Philip rolled his eyes

"Do you understand me" she repeated

"Yes!" he grumbled

"Good. Now you can tell us whose party you were at" Rachel requested

"No way!" Philip huffed

"Fine. You're grounded for three weeks then!" Rachel decided

"Whatever" he growled, walking out of the kitchen angrily

Eddie and Rachel followed, grabbing their bags.

...

Tom Clarkson was angrily tidying up the front of his house, throwing various cans, glass bottles and food packets into a bin bag.

As he tidied, he inwardly cursed the Kelly Family. Since they'd moved in next door and come to Waterloo Road, their lives had been nothing but chaos.

The party last night at The Kelly House had caused Chlo, Donte, Davina and Tom himself to have a restless evening. Part from the noise, part from worrying about the damage they'd find in the morning. They'd all sat in the living room until Tom physically couldn't stand it anymore.

After kicking a few stragglers off his drive, he'd stormed into the Kelly home, unplugging the stereo in a fit of rage, before demanding everyone cleared off. Even though everyone did leave, the trouble didn't end there. There was rubbish everywhere, which is why Tom was tidying away in a frenzy. He'd had enough of the Kelly's.

It was 7:45AM. Davina grabbed her bag from the hallway and headed out into the October morning air. She watched as Tom tidied up, mumbling angrily to himself. She sighed. It wasn't their mess to clean up.

"Tom!" she huffed, realising they were going to be late

He looked at her blankly

"Let's see how they like it" he grumbled, holding up the bin bag in his hand

He took the rubbish bag over to the Kelly's front garden. Davina groaned.

"Oh, don't! You'll just make things worse!" she whined

But it was too late. Tom emptied the contents of the rubbish bag onto their drive.

Rose stood in the doorway, dressed in her pyjamas and dressing gown. She smirked as she watched a flustered Tom emptying the rubbish bag.

"Having fun are we?" she taunted

Tom straightened up, glaring at her

"You might like living like pigs, but we don't!" he snarled

"Pigs are actually really clean animals you know?" Rose corrected him

Tom looked like he was about to explode in anger

Davina scoffed, glaring at Rose.

"Oh come on, Rose! Look at the state of this place!"

Rose shrugged

"Worried about house prices?" she teased

Davina shook her head in despair

"You couldn't care less, could you?"

The discarded, moth eaten sofa on the lawn suddenly started to move. Tom and Davina turned their head as two heads popped up. It was Earl and Maxine.

"Morning" Earl said smugly

Maxine sniggered, her cheeks bright red

Tom stared at them angrily before glaring at Rose.

"This is your final warning, Rose. Next time I will call the Police" he threatened

Rose smirked, rolling her eyes as he walked away with Davina by his side. Tom Clarkson was all talk.

"Imagine trying to sell your house with them living next door!" he huffed, unlocking the car

Chlo and Donte looked at each other awkwardly before getting into the car.
