"You're welcome," Logan kindly responds. "By the way, did you inform Miss Collins about this?"
"Yes, I did," Louie confirms. "I was a bit hesitant to involve my mom in this matter, so I asked her not to spill the beans. But Miss Collins assured me that she understands the importance of keeping things hush-hush and won't blab to anyone without my permission."
"That's absolutely true," Logan affirms. "As an educator, Miss Collins has a duty to protect her students' personal information. She's an amazing teacher who takes her job seriously. You can trust her completely, so no need to stress."
"I have to say, Miss Collins is hands down the kindest teacher I've ever had the privilege of learning from. While my previous teachers were good, there's just something about Miss Collins that sets her apart. I can't quite put my finger on it, but she's truly one of a kind," Louie says.
"You're right, she's an awesome teacher," Logan agrees.
"Wanna hang out in Apartment 2J?"
"Will Kendall be there?" Louie asks, still holding a grudge against him.
"I'm not sure. He's probably hanging out with Jo," Logan says.
"You ever gonna let go of this anger you have against him?"
"When I'm ready to. I'll go if he's not there," Louie says.
"Fair enough, come on," Logan says.
In the lobby, they pass by Carlos, who is soaking wet from being in the pool.
"Hi guys," he says with a kind smile.
"Carlos, you're tracking water right onto the carpet. You have to dry off before you come inside. You know how grouchy Mr. Bitters gets about that rule. He's very strict about it," Logan says.
"He's also very annoying and bossy. Last week he called me a bumbling idiot because I accidentally spilled some of my fruit smackers on the floor. And then called my helmet stupid and ugly. You think I'm gonna listen to someone who constantly belittles me and the other kids who live here?" Carlos says.
