it was almost night time now, the empire's army marched to their camping spot where they'd wait till nightfall to attack. While their other comrades went to the gate with the mean in green, these ones went to try and surprise the green beasts. Their general marched in front of them, riding his horse as he examined the terrain ahead. In front of them, about a half a mile, a forest separated them and the mountains of ice and snow. Then, he felt the earth rumble, not from his army. He stopped and signaled his men to stop too, immediately making them cautious as to what the general wanted.

"sir, what have we stopped-?" Asked one of his second in commands before he was told to be quiet.

But soon, his unfinished question was answered as birds flew out of he forest and trees being knocked over. Everyone tensed, waiting to see just what would come out of the forest. That is, until a sea of green that wasn't grass or forest charged out of the forest. Even from this distance, they could clearly heard their war cry.

"WAAAAGGGHHHH!"

"get in shield wall formation!" Yelled out the general, his men immediately obeying despite their fear. Shields overlapped each other, spears coming through the many holes in the wall and awaiting the enemy to run into them. The general stood behind the wall as he glared at the enemy. It was supposed to be them doing the attack, not the other way around. Behind him stood the archers, holding their bows and arrows at the ready.

"archers! Fire prepare fire!" He barked out his order.

As told, the archers placed their arrows on the strings of their bows. They then pulled back and angled upwards so that the arrow would fly at an arc.

"fire at will!" The general commanded.

At this, arrows flew high into the sky, aiming to penetrate the green flesh of the monsters. To their shock, the arrows did little to slow the green skins down, most just bouncing off their thick armor or just being something like a thorn to them due to their sheer muscle and size. Only a lucky few arrows managed to lodge themselves into the eyes of a few, either blinding them or killing them instantly. But the tsunami of green still charged unflinching, even as arrows rained down upon them from the sky. Soon, the tide of green met the empire's wall of shields and spears. Now they saw just how fruitless their attempts were as most spears broke or were knocked aside as the giant brutes clashed with clubs and axes. Then they heard loud, thunderous booms from the strange crossbow like weapons these creatures possessed, and the earth rumbling shake of their horseless carriages that now plowed through the forest. They also saw these creatures riding other creatures that looked more teeth and mouth than actual body, charging straight into the cavalry, men and horse being slaughtered like pigs. The general found himself in middle of the chaos, the world around him slowing just as one of the green skins charged as swung its club at him.

It had been a good scrap, yeah, but it wasn't very waaaggghhhh-y that much. A small green grechin wandered around the now (slightly) silent battlefield that they just won. The reason why it was only slightly is because the other green skins fought over shiny materials and other things. Then he came across a body of a man wearing what appeared to be more fancy armor. Curiosity over took him as a got closer, and saw that he had a piece of paper in one of his pockets.

"what's this?" It asked.

Unlike most green skins, this little gretchin was a bit more fluent in its words, being gifted with slightly more intelligence. Reaching down, it took the paper looked it over. It was rolled up to better fit in the human's pocket, and so it u rolled it and took in it's contents. Immediately, it's eyes widened as a grin came upon its large head. Thus, the little gretchin ran to inform its boss of the find.

The boss in question ripped off the chest plate of one of the puny umies, holding to himself and grumbling as he tossed it away. He was looking for something shiny to put on him armor, to try and show just how powerful he was and maybe also catch the attention of gits so they fights him more. He then heard the small running of feet growing closer and closer, so he turned behind him and saw a gretchin running with a piece of paper in it's hands.

"boss, boss, take a look at what I found!" It yelled in excitement.

"uh? Wot iz it?" The boss asked, a mix of confusion and annoyance as he waited for an answer.

Not wasting any time, the little gretchin unrolled the paper and showed it to his boss, earning a confused look from him. Sensing the growing confusion, he chose to elaborate before the boss became angry.

"it's a map, boss. And it shows some of the nearest human cities too. With this, we can finally take the waaggghhhh to them more effectively since we'd know just where to go!" The gretchin explained.

The boss listened to what it said, scratching its wide chin as if thinking. Then, he thought of all the shiny things he could get from them, but he didn't know how to read maps. So, looking down at the gretchin, he decided.

"very well. But if thiz iz a trick, then I will make zure that I krump ya like all the otha gitz" he said, making it clear that he had no plans of being betrayed by telling a threat. "And iz have you go an chek em out to see if they are worth stompin, so that means I'm sendin some otha gitz with ya. Mainly small greenies like ya" he continued.

This earned a shocked looks from the little green skin as he stared at his boss. He was not expecting to actually have a little band of his own, though was disappointed when it would be such a small band as he soon figured out it was only at least 100 gretchin and 50 orks. Of course they were supplied with mounts like squigs and a few vehicles and a stompa.

And so now the gretchin found himself on a small platform he made on the back of an ork, a mounted bolt gun on said platform. "Alright, boss said that we are scouts, so that means we are still too small to start a big fight. Instead, we're have to be cunning yet strong instead of strong yet cunning." The small green skin called out to his small army, earning a few grumbles of disappointment from the rest. Their single small stompa was an orkified knight, equipped with a Gatling arm and a chain sword arm as well as a rocket pod on top. It slowly lumbered its way just behind the small army of green, its engines roaring as it went. As the gretchin looked around, it saw a pillar of smoke in the distance, grinning to himself he pointed towards its direction.

"we go over there, most of the attackers might be lowered in numbers and tired. Plus, it's a good spot to go camp for the day if it used to be a place they lived." He said. Thus, the orks made their way there.

Meanwhile...

a group of soldiers search through the burned village, looking for any survivors. Itami, a young adult and leading commander of his squad, stands and looks about the poor shape of the buildings and the still remaining fires.

"damn, that dragon really did a number to this village." He commented.

Then, he heard faint noises coming from a nearby well. He perked up upon hearing it, his soldier instincts kicking in as he cautiously approached it. As he made it to the well, he peaked down and saw a person down there.

"hey, we got a survivor!" Itami called out to his squad members behind him.

After a few moments, they were able to make a pulley system and slowly let their leader down the well. From there, he grabbed the person and signaled his team to pull him back up by yanking the rope a few times. After making it back out, he realized that it was a woman, and an elf to be exact.

"an elf?" He mumbled to himself as she was carried into one of the jeeps to transport and an oxygen tank.

Now that they searched the place, they decided to go to a nearby village (that hopefully wasn't also burned) to seek help for the girl and maybe a place for her to stay.

Back with the green skins, they came upon the scorched rubble that was once a settlement. The scanned their surroundings to make sure no other gits were nearby, not really wanting to be snuck up on despite their thirst for a waagghhhh. The gretchin held firmly to the mounted bolt gun that was attached to the ork he was riding. He always liked this type of mount, it only means you get triple the firepower if the ork you rode also had two bolt guns.

"iz wondr wot caused this..." a fellow green skin spoke to no one in particular.

"iz dont know, maybe zom of dem spikey gits caused it, I know they loik fightin just az much az uz." Another answered as the rest searched around.

"Oi! Take a look a diz, I found zome trakz leadin away from here. They look like doz car fings umies use!" An ork called out, gaining everyone's attention.

The gretchin thought about it. 'Humans don't really use vehicles with tracks like those. So maybe they one of them lost world people.' He thought. 'Then that means we might have an advantage over them if they don't know who we are'

the gretchin made a wide grin on his face, ultimately giving an answer as to what they would do. And so now, they would follow the tracks to wherever they led, hoping to find the humans in which they could trick before they stomp them, cus orks are best...

Ah, I apologize for how late this chapter is. I had trouble getting enough will to write more chapters lately. But I hope you enjoy. This is now a slight AU due to my limited memory of the Gate series. I hope you enjoy, and prepare for some good goff rocker music here soon!

Thank you and have a good time.
