Huntresses of Fairy Tail
~Deliora~
Darkness, darkness and despair was all that filled the Demon of Destruction's thoughts. They'd been trapped within this frozen limbo for years, with the hours, turning into days, turning into they didn't know what. They could still hear the voices of those outside, and they'd been especially active over the past several years, with a large source of magic they were unfamiliar with, washing over the Iced Shell that trapped them.
They had no clue, as to why those foolish enough to attempt freeing them, would even consider it, as they were gonna die the instant the air hit their frozen lungs. It had been the same song and dance ritual for the past several years, and it was the only thing that allowed Deliora to keep track of night and day. But something was different about this night, that they weren't familiar with, yet was at the same time.
The ceremony was supplying them with a fresh source of magic. Magic that would allow for them to break free of the Iced Shell, sooner then the ritual would allow, and prevent their death completely. The ritual was stopped however, as suddenly as it had started, and Deliora could tell that whatever the source of that magic was, they were powerful, and the power they'd been stripped of, was already more then enough for Deliora to seal within themselves, and let bubble up and build, as the Demon of Destruction, was simply awaiting for the right moment, to strike and reward those responsible for their release, with a swift and painless death.
"It's only fair, I thank them properly, for this gift they've so graciously given me." They thought, a miniachle laugh echoing within their head.
~Village Remains: Present Time~
"How can this be, how can you be here?" Yuka questioned. "We saw you were tied up, and weakened by the Kryptonite."
"Even if it was synthetic, the Kryptonite should have rendered you powerless. It left you at the mercy of the Cold Emperor." Sherry stated.
"How are you freaking here?" Toby asked.
"Yeah, Lyon did a number on me when he hung that Kryptonite around my neck." Raion stated, cracking his neck. "But he fucked up, by ordering you to kill the villagers. I'm only half Kryptonian, so even though Kryptonite still affects me, I'm still able to push through my weaknesses with my anger, thanks to my other heritage."
"So this ice dome is your handy work I take it?" Yuka asked.
"That'd be accurate, yeah." Raion said.
"How did it not melt? We bathed this whole area in acid jelly." Sherry said. "Such a shame too, we were wanting to be merciful on the villagers, and end their lives quickly, without any pain. That's what true love means."
"Godslayer Magic constructs are difficult to destroy, sure a large amount of acid like that could damage it, but all the villagers, are safe and sound inside the dome, not a single one of them hurt." Raion stated.
"What a waste, and a tragedy. Now we're gonna have to slaughter them, one by one." Yuka stated.
"That's not gonna happen." Raion said, before reaching back into the dome, and pulling out the beaten and bloodied Lyon, before throwing him on the ground between them. "An' just an FYI, your leader is delusional if he thinks he can defeat a Demon, who's even stronger then I am, when he didn't even stand a chance against me."
"Lyon." Sherry gasped.
"This can't be possible." Yuka said.
"But… Lyon was the strongest guy we know. He was gonna defeat Deliora." Toby said in disbelief.
"Lyon's still alive, don't worry." Raion said. "But what you're gonna want to think about, is what your next moves will be."
The trio looked at Raion in disbelief, as Lyon laid motionless on the ground, his head next to a puddle of acid that had yet to dissolve, as Raion put his foot on the ice mage's head, and pushed it forward ever so slightly towards the lethal jelly.
"Bastard, don't do it!" Yuka exclaimed. "Fight us, and we will show you our wrath, and the pain of making a fool of our leader."
"Seriously?" Raion asked. "If Lyon, the self proclaimed, only Huntsman strong enough to take on Deliora, was unable to defeat me, then what makes you think any of you can do better?"
"You won't be saying that, when you face all three of us at once." Toby stated.
"Okay then." Raion said, literally kicking Lyon with his heel and sending him back to the ice dome, where Team RWBY were watching from the opening he made when he broke through it. "Come at me with your best shots."
"Angelica." Sherry called out in a singsong voice, before the giant in a maids outfit landed on the ground behind them.
The moment Angelica landed on the ground, her gaze froze in fear, when she saw Raion. The Hybrid teen saw this, and smirked before he was instantly in the air, flying in front of her face.
"Boo." He said.
That simple act, was all it took for Angelica to scream, before she took off flying with her tail moving her as fast as she could go.
"What just happened?" Sherry asked. "I've never seen Angelica so scared of anything before." She said, before she was forced to bend over, as Raions knee was suddenly slammed into her diaphragm, fast and hard.
"Who do you think was the one who sent her rocketing into the atmosphere in the first place?" Raion questioned, before he pivoted his body, and slammed his fist into Sherry's head, crashing it into the ground hard, creating a shockwave as the pink haired girl was knocked out instantly.
"Sherry?" Yuka questioned, before he gasped as Raion was in front of him, standing tall and proud.
"You know, there's a reason why, I'm one of Fairy Tails strongest S-Class Huntsmen." Raion stated.
"W-wait a second." Yuka gasped, him and Toby jumping back. "Godslayer Magic, a physical body worthy of the Gods, magicless inhuman strength, speed, and flying abilities, and Black-Ops styled clothing. You're Fairy Tail's God of War."
"An' here I was thinking Toby was the smart one among the three of you." Raion said, gripping his fists tightly, his arms becoming coated in black metal, as they ended in flame like designs just under his shoulders, mid biceps and triceps. "You should know, I'm not one who takes the attempted murder of an entire village lightly."
"Now hold on just a second." Toby said. "I'm sure we can talk about this, rationally."
"Nah, I'm done with rational." Raion said.
Without even giving Toby of Yuka any time to think, Raion ran straight for the two of them, hitting both villains with a flurry of blows, no one could see as anything more then blurs of black metal. The onslaught of punches continued on, until Raion hit them both with a double hook to their heads, slamming them together as they fell to the ground.
"Stay down." Raion glared, stomping on Toby's unconscious body.
"Raion, that was so savage." Yang gasped, as all of Team RWBY were looking at the spectacle.
"Anyone got any rope?" Raion questioned.
After tying up all four members of Lyon's team, Raion huffed as he sat down, before reaching for his bag, to which Ruby brought him, and pulled out an energy drink.
"You do know, those will kill you, right?" Yang asked.
"They haven't yet." Raion said. "Honestly, I think my addiction to these, might be as bad as Grey's stripping habit."
"That's pretty bad then."
Raion looked up, and towards the group of tied up villains, seeing Lyon was awake, while the other three remained unconscious.
"You're awake." Raion said.
"You roughed up my men." Lyon said.
"Well, had to. Their boss didn't leave me any choice when he ordered the execution of an innocent village." Raion stated.
"You do realize, I'm in no shape to fight Deliora now, not with these injuries." Lyon stated.
"Oh, I'm well aware." Raion said. "Then again, even at full strength, you still wouldn't have been able to fight that."
"You don't know that."
"Yes I do." Raion stated. "An' now, thanks to your little ploy for trying to take me out, you might have just made Deliora unstoppable."
"What do you mean?" Ruby asked.
"The temple, wasn't originally designed for a spell powerful enough to break any spell with moonlight." Raion said. "Originally, it was designed to take a fraction of ones soul, and magic, and put it in someone else, someone weaker then the one in the circle. An' given how Deliora was gonna die if I hadn't been placed in the circle, you've completed a ritual that hasn't been performed, in who knows how long."
"How do you know this?" Lyon questioned.
"Trust me, I wish I didn't." Raion said. "My mother came to this island some time before I was born. An' she studied the ancient texts in the temple, and even translated them into her journal. It took a bit of looking back, but I eventually remembered them when I read her journal, and the translations that followed."
"So… Deliora's as strong as you now?" Weiss asked.
"Worse." Raion sighed. "They're stronger then me."
"What do you mean?" Blake asked.
"I mean, with my power boosting Deliora's, it's highly likely that they've been restored to full strength, and that with the damage already done to the Iced Shell, Deliora will…"
Before Raion could continue, the ground beneath them rumbled, before the sound of crumbling stone, resonated through the air, with the temple erupting like a mountain volcano, as smoke and dust, as well as stone and debri flew through the air.
"It's too late." Raion gasped, getting to his feet. "Deliora's free."
One particular piece of debri flew especially high up into the air, arching through the night sky as if it were flying.
"Raion?" Yang asked.
"I see it." Raion said.
The smoke from the flying debri cleared away, showing it was an actual projectile that was heading right for them, right for Raion. The hybrid teens eyes widened in realization, before he twisted around and pushed the girls back, just as the flying projectile came falling from the sky, and landed right on him, creating a shockwave and crater upon impact.
"RAION!" Ruby and Yang shouted, while Blake and Weiss looked on in horror.
"My, is this seriously the one who gave me the power to free myself?" A womans voice came from the crater. "How pathetic."
The dust began to settle, and standing there, in the center of the crater with their foot on Raion's chest, was a well defined woman, with a dark blue armor like shell on her body, covering her to what the Huntresses thought was similar to something an ancient Spartan would wear, making the human sized demoness, look akin to her monstrously gigantic counterpart, that had been buried under the temple moments ago. Her torso was sleek, with well defined muscles, and two arms that end in scaly claws, with razor sharp blades on the outsides of her forearms, and spikes on her shoulders. In addition, her feet resembled that of a Pterodactyls, with the addition of razor sharp spines on the back of the calves. The Demoness' hair resembled a lions mane in shape, as it flowed down to the small of her back. On her head, she wore a circlet, connected to a pair of horns that went along the length of her head, and pointed upwards, while her teeth were large and pointed, accompanied by two hollow eyes, shining blood red with power. On her chest, she carried an empty shield, with the same shape as Raions, but was void of any emblem or meaning inside it.
"I have to say, I am very disappointed." Deliora scoffed, while looking down upon Raion. "I thought you'd at least be a challenge for me."
"You want a challenge?" Raion coughed, spitting up some blood. "I'll give you a challenge."
"Girls, there's still quite a bit of time before the sun comes up, what are we gonna do to help him?" Ruby questioned.
"I say we run." Weiss said. "She's gonna kill him, and that's that. We don't stand a chance."
"No, we're not abandoning him." Yang said, gripping her fists tightly. "Ruby and I just got him back in our lives, I'm not letting that go for anything."
"Oh, so you're wanting to die alongside him, how touching." Deliora smirked.
"No, stay away." Raion coughed. "She's too strong for any of you."
"That's not gonna stop us." Yang declared, using the recoil of Ember Celica to send herself forward, towards the Demoness pinning Raion to the ground.
"This will be fun." Deliora said, twisting around, and grabbing Yang by her throat, stopping her momentum. "You're a feisty one. I'm gonna enjoy you immensely."
"Let her go." Raion shouted.
"Oh? Is this one precious to you?" Deliora questioned, before she was forced to drop Yang, as a Dust round hit her in the side of the head, knocking it back.
"Let my sister go." Ruby said in the tone that made it sound like an order, from her position with Crescent Rose in its compact form.
"Not the face little girl." Deliora said.
With the Demoness distracted, Yang was quick to regain her bearings, before she did a leg sweep and knocked Deliora to the ground. This gave the blonde Huntress in training a chance to grab Raion, and get out of the crater with him, and retreat with the rest of her team, as they all moved away from the Demoness.
"You okay Raion?" Yang asked, sitting him up against a boulder.
"She cracked a few of my ribs, I think one or two might be broken." Raion huffed. "Gotta say though, given her monstrous form, I never would have expected Deliora's true form to be such a petite looking thing."
"Looks can be deceiving." Blake said.
"What are we gonna do now?" Weiss asked.
"We fight on." Raion groaned. "That temple is Kryptonian in nature. It was built by Kryptonians who managed to escape an interdimensional prison, called the Phantom Zone. They were falsely imprisoned there, for crimes that went against religious order. If I can get there, I could probably unlock some of its capabilities."
"How does that help us fight on?" Weiss questioned.
"If I'm right, then there might be some Kryptonite in that temple, hidden away." Raion stated. "An' when Kryptonite's involved, that's one helluva unstoppable force, to pit against an immovable object."
"Who can get him there the fastest?" Blake asked.
"You three go." Yang said, getting to her feet, and slamming her fists together. "I'll handle Lady Flat Chest over there."
"Yang you can't, she's too strong." Raion said.
"I'll be able to buy you the time you need." Yang said, flames igniting over her hands. "Trust me Raion, a lot has changed in the time that you've been gone."
Raion looked at Yang, before he tsked and clutched his side, reaching into his pocket.
"Take this." Raion said, forcing himself to his feet, and holding the item out to Yang. "It might not be Kryptonite, but it is what kept me weak for so many years. I kept it for sentimental reasons."
Yang took the box, finding it was made from lead with a sniff of the material, and opened it to find a blue gemstone bracelet in the center, that shined brightly.
"Your bracelet?" Yang asked.
"After I initially joined the guild, I found out about my Kryptonian heritage, when I left it behind during one of my jobs." Raion stated. "Imagine my shock, when my body transformed from a skinny twig, to the muscle man you see before you, just by soaking in some sunlight, in a near instant during the job."
"How is that…"
"Oh blondie!" Deliora cried out. "I've got some words I'd like to share with you."
"We can discuss how it's possible, another time." Ruby said. "Yang, please be sure to come home to us. Don't be like mom, and risk your life in a fight you know you won't win."
"Don't worry Rubes, I'll come back." Yang said.
"Let's move it people." Weiss said.
Ruby grabbed Raion, with Weiss and Blake grabbing her shoulders, before they turned away from Yang, and in a flurry of petals, went straight for the temple that might hold the key, to their victory, just before Deliora jumped out of the crater and landed on the ground in front of Yang, as she came out of hiding.
"There you are blondie." Deliora smirked evilly. "Done with running and hiding away?"
"Who says I'm the one who's hiding?" Yang questioned, clipping the bracelet onto her pony tail, like it was a hairband. "I'm here to kick your ass."
"I'd like to see you try." Deliora stated, rushing Yang.
The blonde Huntress glared at Deliora, before side stepping and pivoting back, evading one of the Demoness claws, before she brought her arm down hard on her opponents neck. This sudden force of impact, caused Deliora to gasp for air, as she rolled forward, and hit the stone Raion had been against moments ago.
"What the hell was that?" Deliora coughed, as she picked herself up.
The Demoness wasn't given the chance to counter, as Yang was instantly in her space, and slammed her fist into the Demons chest.
From far off in the distance, Lyon watched this spectacle in complete awe, as Yang struck the Demoness with hellfire covered fists, each of her strikes landing, setting off an echoing bellow of thunder, with a ring of air visible at the Demons back, with each strike passing through her.
"Purgatory Dragon: Talon!" Yang shouted, kicking upward, hitting Deliora on the underside of the chin, with the heel of her boot, before slamming her foot down, and allowing for Deliora to step back from her.
"How… how are you damaging me so badly?" Deliora groaned.
"You have Raion's strengths, and his weaknesses." Yang said. "My sister and I know Raion, better then anyone."
Yang knew she was bluffing about most of that better then anyone, just to buy time for the others to get done what they needed to do.
"You cheeky little brat." Deliora growled, rushing Yang. "Don't think you've won just yet."
~Raion~
The world was spinning, as Raion, Ruby, Weiss, and Blake managed to make their way into the temple. They had run into hardly any resistance, with Lyon's followers having lost their faith in him, witnessing his downfall at the hands of the hybrid teen.
"Alright, we're here, now what?" Weiss asked.
"Be careful, the floor's very unstable around the entrance." Raion said, as they moved in, cautiously.
"What are we looking for Raion?" Ruby inquired.
"That." Raion stated, pointing deeper into the temple.
Ruby, Weiss, and Blake looked to where he was pointing and saw an emblem, carved into the wall, looking exactly like the emblem on Raions belt buckle.
"Is that… your family crest?" Ruby asked.
"It is." Raion said, hobbling over to it. "It's not as old as the other carvings, so that means, it was put here sometime in the last twenty years or so."
Reaching out, Raion put his hand on the carving, before it began to light up, and the entire temple began to shake. The dark room began lighting up, as the floor stabilized, and repaired itself, with any other damages to it, being repaired as well.
The girls of RWBY looked around in awe, as the stone took on a more silver hued color, and became a smooth shining metal, with the ancient hieroglyphs looking less carved, and more circuitry.
"What is this place?" Weiss questioned.
"I get the feeling, we're about to find out." Blake said.
"Hello, my child."
The three girls looked to Raion, as he was standing there, clutching his side. He had stepped back a foot or two from the wall, as the portion in front of him, became a screen, while playing footage of a woman with long blonde hair, done up in a thick braided rope, with what they could see was wearing a black low cut v-neck tank top under a golden "S" shield emblem over her chest, with the Fairy Tail emblem visible on the right underside of her neck. She sported a short sleeved cropped blue jacket, with yellow cuffs and red trimming and lining on the inside.
"If you're watching this, then it means you joined a guild, became an amazing Huntsman, and received a job request taking you to Galuna Island, and have found my hidden message amongst the temple ruins." She said in the recording panning out, revealing she wore a red pleated skirt that is split at the side with a small brown belted strap across the gap, and bright red shorts under it, dark red calf high boots. Finishing the outfit off with a pair of black fingerless gloves on her hands, rubbing over her pregnant belly that was covered by her shirt. "It also means, I'm no longer on Earthland, or in the realm Earthland resides in."
"Mom." Raion said, reaching out to touch the screen.
"I know you might be angry at me, and you probably have so many questions, why I left, why I wasn't there for you. All will be revealed." She said. "What you'll be speaking to after this message ends, is an AI connected to the temples computer, with what you will see, being a scanned copy of my subconscious."
"Raion, what are you doing?" Weiss questioned.
"Let us begin." The Kryptonian woman said. "For starters, my name is Kara Zor-El. The last daughter of Krypton. In the realm I come from, I am known as a hero, called Supergirl."
~Yang~
"Even if I don't have access to that brats power, I can still easily defeat you." Deliora declared, slamming her fist into Yangs face, sending the blonde sliding back.
"True, you're still strong for a Demoness." Yang said. "Your power's size is incredible, but you're lacking size, where it really counts." The blonde smirked, running her hands down the curve of her chest.
"I don't need big cow udders like you bitch." Deliora growled, obviously angry at Yangs comment and gesture. "You sure you're not a dairy cow Faunus?"
"If I am, then I'm every mans dream." Yang said, striking a sexy pose with a wink.
"DIE!" Deliora shouted, a tick mark forming on her forehead, as she charged at the busty blonde.
Yang glared at Deliora, and smirked, having found her tactic had worked, and goaded her into attacking in anger. Rushing at the Demoness, Yangs hair and fists light up with purgatory flames, snapping her hairband and burning it away, as her eyes went from lavender to crimson red. Ducking under her opponents strike, Yang slammed her fist into Deliora's stomach, with all the force she could put behind it, and released all the kinetic energy she'd stored up during the fight, resulting in a pillar of hell fire passing through the revived Demons body.
With her Semblance exhausted, and her magic nearly depleted, Yang sighed as she fell back, her hands on her knees.
"That… had to have done her in." Yang huffed, before looking up.
The instant her eyes landed on the Demoness, they widened in horror, when she saw her standing there, a smirk on her face.
"I think I felt an itch." Deliora smirked, standing tall.
"No… how did…" Yang began before realizing that the flames of her Semblance, and her magic burned away the bracelet, the only thing giving her an edge over Deliora. "The bracelet. My hell flames burned away the stone." She gasped in fear, before Deliora grabbed her by the throat.
"So that's how you were causing me harm." Deliora smirked. "Too bad you burned it to ashes when you hit me with that final attack."
"Damn… it…" Yang choked out. "Ruby… I'm sorry…"
"No need to worry, you bloated bovine, I'll be sure to send your little friends your way, as soon as I find them." Deliora said, before she was forced to drop Yang again, and was pushed back, by two lasers striking her in the chest.
Yang gasped for breath as she landed on the ground, coughing as she was able to breathe again.
"Who the hell…?" Deliora questioned, looking up at where the lasers came from, her eyes landing on the man flying in the air.
"Deliora." Raion stated, glaring at her, his eyes still glowing red with heat. "Let's finish this, Kryptonian to Kryptonian."
"Kryptonian?" Deliora asked. "Is that the name of your species?"
"Half of what I am." Raion stated, landing on the ground, and revealing his tail had returned. "The other half of me, is that of a Saiyan Warrior."
"I don't care if you're Salem herself. I will destroy you." Deliora shouted, running to Raion and throwing her claws at him.
The hybrid twisted around and grabbed Deliora by the wrist, before throwing her over his shoulder, and into the ground, creating a cloud of dust, before Deliora was kicked out of it, causing the cloud to disperse almost immediately, and create a groove in the ground as she landed.
"What the hell?" Yang questioned, seeing just how powerful Raion was.
"Yang." Ruby called out, as the rest of Team RWBY joined Yang at the ground.
"Ruby, what's going on with Raion, how's he so strong?"
"I don't know." Ruby said. "It's freaky. He got in this pod thing, and it charged his body with solar energy or something."
"An' it caused his tail to grow back as well." Blake said.
"We have to get out of here, before we all become a casualty in this warzone." Weiss stated.
"Villagers take priority. Let's evacuate." Ruby said, turning and running for the remains of the ice dome.
In the fight between Raion and Deliora, the Hybrid Huntsman had the upper hand, as he was not giving Deliora a chance to counter. Deliora continued to take a beating, with Raion being relentless, before the Huntsman missed his mark, as Deliora used magic to get away from him.
"Damn it you brat. Do you know, who you're fucking with?" Deliora questioned, getting to her feet.
"Yeah, a Demon from the Book of Zeref." Raion stated. "I don't care."
"Well you should." Deliora growled. "Because I am strong enough to destroy the world."
"Then I'll just have to stop you, before that happens." Raion said.
(Cue Music… We Will Rock You: Five-Feat. Queen)
"Don't get cheeky." Deliora said, as she rushed Raion.
Raion rushed at Deliora, his fist colliding with hers, creating a shockwave of power that blew away any and all debri in the area. Raion and Deliora were pushed back by the shockwave, allowing for one to gain control of the fight over the other, which ended up being Deliora as she slammed her knee into Raion's face, sending him sliding back, before he stopped himself from crashing into the ice dome, taking the villagers and Team RWBY by surprise.
"Raion?" Yang questioned.
"RUN, NOW!" Raion shouted, wiping the blood from his nose, before he brought his arms up, and gripped Deliora's claws in his hands.
"Just give up, and let the Demon of Destruction, take care of you already." Deliora said, her voice growing demonic, with her eyes glowing red.
"How about, you go back to HELL!" Raion exclaimed, before he fired his heat vision right into Deliora's eyes.
"AAAHHHH!" Deliora shouted in pain, as her eyes were seared out.
With her focus divided, Raion swung his arms up, and slammed Deliora on the ground, arching her through the air, before slamming her on the ground again. With Deliora in pain and disoriented, Raion spun around a couple times, before throwing her into the air.
"Evacuate the island if you have to. Just stay alive, everyone." Raion said, before he crouched down, and jumped into the air, flying after Deliora.
Up in the air, Deliora's eyes steamed as they regenerated, allowing her to see what was happening, before realizing she was way up in the clouds.
"The fuck?" She questioned, before she was hit from bellow, sending her higher into the air.
"You know." Raion continued, as he slammed his fists into her, flying in from every direction. "For someone supposedly known as the Demon of Destruction…"
Deliora was twisted around in the air, her body in immense pain, before her back struck something that shouldn't have been there, and acted as the gateway to her doom. Lunging forward, with the barrier acting as a surface to push off of, Deliora swiped her claws at Raion as he neared her, managing to slice through nothing more then his shirt, before he vanished again, while slamming her back into the barrier.
"The hell?" She gasped, before Raion continued to fly towards her, hitting the Demoness from multiple different angles, and harming her further.
For a moment, the attacks stopped, and she began scanning the clouds for Raion, before an eerie light brought her attention from the clouds to the ground bellow. Looking down, Deliora's eyes widened in horror with a gasp, as Raion came flying towards her with his right fist, pulled back, covered in green flames and lightning. But what surprised her, was the shield on his chest, with a tribal Fairy Tail emblem in the center, where his house crest should have been.
"You're not all that tough." He growled, heading straight for her. "Godslayer Secret Art: Stinger of the Deathstalker!"
(End Song…)
"YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" Deliora cried out, just before Raion slammed his fist through her torso, lightning and fire piercing through her body, and destroying the barrier behind her as it shattered like glass.
Raion just glared at Deliora, before closing his eyes, as the remainders of the barrier vanished from behind her, the lifeless body of the Demoness slumping forward onto his shoulder. Wrapping his arm around her, Raion gently pulled his arm out from the hole his punch made, skewering her body, and flew back to the ground bellow, just as the citizens of the village were evacuating to the safety of their storage shelters, before they stopped, turning around when they saw his shadow overtake the ground, slowly shrinking as he came down, and landed in the center of the ground.
"Raion." Yang gasped, when she saw the lifeless body of Deliora over his shoulder.
Raion took several steps on the ground, before gently laying her on the charred soil. The instant he stepped back, the lifeless body of the Demoness turned to ash, leaving behind a skeleton, barren of any flesh, organs, or vitals that required a human being to live, or to keep on living.
"What… was she?" Ruby asked.
"A woman, tormented by losing the love of her life, to the destruction of dragons over four hundred years ago." Raion said. "Zeref took advantage of her, and knew the potential she had."
"Her potential?" Weiss asked.
"As a Silver Eyed Warrior." Raion sighed, looking to Ruby. "She had silver eyes, just like yours."
"Silver eyes?" Ruby gasped.
"But how did she…"
"End up like this?" Raion asked, finishing Yangs question. "Zeref was infamous for his experimentation hobby. He often found new means of magic, while trying to find a way to fully bring someone back from the dead. Somewhere along the line, he discovered what would happen to Silver Eyed Warriors, if he carefully mixed their power, with the power of Grimm. He mainly took advantage, of those grieving for the loss of their loved ones, and used them in their experiments."
"So, by killing her, what exactly did you accomplish?" Blake asked.
"I set her soul free, and laid it to rest." Raion said, as he began to show signs of unsteadiness. "But I think that boost I got is…"
Before Raion could finish, his eyes rolled into the back of his head, and he fell backwards, only for Yang to catch him.
"I got you Raion." Yang said. "Ruby, is there anything we can do for him?"
"Nothing but let him rest, to be honest." Ruby sighed. "The AI said that he'd be completely exhausted after the boost wore off, so he's gonna need some place to rest."
"Well, what do we do now?" Weiss asked.
"Not much we can do until he wakes up." Blake said. "We can't leave until then, so we might as well get comfortable."
"But what about the curse?" Moka inquired.
"Oh, Raion already took care of the curse." Blake stated. "He shattered the barrier made from particles of the Moon Drip that was covering the island. Your memories should be returning to normal…"
Before Blake could continue, the ground beneath them began to quake, and rumble. It was confusing, but it looked as though the village was rebuilding itself somehow.
"What's going on?" Ruby asked.
"I don't know, this isn't normal." Yang said.
"It's almost as if, time is flowing backwards." Blake said. "Weiss?"
"I don't have control over time dilation this advanced." Weiss stated.
"So if it's not the Schnee Semblance doing all this…" Yang began, as the town had completely returned to normal. "Then who the hell is doing this?"
~Sometime Later~
The sound of bird chirping echoed through the air, as Raion's consciousness regained itself. Slowly, he began opening his eyes, finding himself in an open air hut, with no walls, and a ceiling being held up by wood posts. Turning his head, Raion sighed, when he saw Yang and Ruby sitting in the corner closest to the bed, both of them covered by a blanket, while leaning into one another.
Carefully sitting up, Raion groaned before he stretched out, cracking his spine. Looking around, Raion was shocked to find that the village was back in one piece.
"What's going on here?" Raion questioned. "Wasn't the village destroyed?"
"It was, but someone used their magic to restore it."
Raion looked ahead of himself, to see Blake standing there, holding a tray with fresh bandages, disinfectant, and gauze.
"Glad to see you're awake." Blake said.
"Glad to be alive." Raion said. "Someone really restored the village back to how it was, before the acid jelly?"
"They did." Blake stated, putting the tray down. "We don't know who did it, but they did the villagers a huge favor."
"Magic capable of something like this, has long been lost to the ancient texts of history." Raion said. "Whoever was capable of this, is capable of so much more, to be able to rewind time on the entire village."
"No doubt." Blake said, removing his bandages, revealing the scars underneath. "Seems like Deliora managed to get a few good hits in on you before you took her out."
"Seems like it. I didn't even realize she'd managed to inflict damage on me." Raion said.
"Well, it's been three days since you passed out, an' the villagers all have their memories back, so I'd say we're due for heading back home." Blake said.
"What about them?" Raion asked, looking to Yang and Ruby, wrapping his head around the fact he'd been asleep for three days. "They're gonna want an explanation from me."
"Let them sleep. This is the first bit of sleep they've gotten since you passed out. Moka's son offered us a ride home back to the mainland, so you can report to the Master before going for your next job." Blake stated. "I can take you to Chief Moka."
"Great, I'll leave you and Ms. Schnee, to explain to Ruby and Yang where I went." Raion stated, getting to his feet, and grabbing his bag for a spare shirt, but found none. "Ah crap, I didn't pack an extra shirt." He groaned.
"Just wear your vest." Blake said. "You should leave your Fairy Tail emblem exposed to see anyway."
"I'll consider it." Raion sighed, pulling his Scroll out from his bag.
"Calling the Guild?" Blake asked.
"Gotta let them know I finished the job, and what exactly happened." Raion said, while thinking of what happened in the temple, and what he'd learned before entering the pod.
~Temple Flashback~
"I know you may have questions, but if it feels too painful right now, you can stop the video, and the AI will take over, and play my message any time you like." The recording of Kara said. "Now, you're probably wondering who your father is, to be honest he…"
"Computer. Stop the video." Raion said, stopping the video.
"Hello Master Raion." A holographic image of Kara said, appearing before them. "How may I assist you?"
"Raion, what are you doing? Don't you wanna learn the truth?" Ruby asked.
"We don't have time for the truth Ruby." Raion said. "Computer, is there any way to tend to my injuries, and defeat Deliora before daybreak?"
"There is one option. It is viable, but extremely risky." The computer said, as the wall opened up, producing a stasis pod. "By converting the solar energy from the moon light, and magnifying it to the equivalence of daylight, your injuries will rapidly heal, and your strength will increase to what is needed, to easily best Deliora."
"What's the risk?" Raion asked.
"It is unlikely that the proper safe dosage can be administered. Therefore, there is a high likelihood that your cells will overload with yellow sun radiation, and you will die." The Computer said.
"What you're basically saying, is there's a high probability that he'll overdose and die from too much exposure to yellow sunlight." Blake said.
"Correct." The Computer affirmed.
"Raion, we'll find another way." Ruby said.
"We don't have time to find another way." Raion stated. "This is our only hope."
"If you survive this, will you even be the same person?" Ruby questioned.
"Did you really know him at all to begin with?" Weiss asked.
"That's enough bickering." Raion said, climbing into the solar pod with a grunt of pain. "I'm doing this, whether you approve of it or not."
"You should know, that there is a 95% chance that, should you survive, you will fall unconscious once the boost in power wears off, and there may be some side effects given your biological nature being that of only half Kryptonian." The Computer said, as the pod connected a breathing mask to Raion's face.
"I'll take my chances." Raion stated.
"How long will this take?" Blake asked.
"How long until daybreak?" Weiss asked.
"Daybreak, is several hours away still. But I can sense an immense power down the mountain, being held back by blue Kryptonite. I shall make this happen, as fast as possible." The Computer said.
"Computer, tell me, and only me, everything you have on the Dark Wizard Zeref, and the Demons from the Book of Zeref." Raion said.
"Affirmed." The Computer said. "Beginning Solar Saturation, now."
~Present Day~
'Guess it was a good thing, I remained conscious. I got to feel my tail grow back during the Solar Saturation.' Raion thought, standing in front of the village gates, with Moka in front of him.
"We can't possibly thank you enough for all the help you've given us." Moka said, handing Raion a bag of money. "We are truly in your debt."
"There's no need for that." Raion said, putting the bag of money in his satchel. "I just did my job. I was happy to help."
"Are you sure you wouldn't like to wait for your friends and leave together?" Moka's son, Bobo asked.
~Cue Superman Theme Music!
"It's better I go on ahead. I still have some more jobs to finish up, so I gotta get going. Can't really wait around when there's work to do." Raion said.
"Be careful young man." Moka stated. "Your injuries still haven't fully healed."
"No worries, your concern is appreciated." Raion smiled, as his feet left the ground, with the young man rising into the air. "But I'm tougher then I look. I can handle a little aching pain."
"Well, be safe. An' don't push yourself too hard." Bobo said.
"An' since the temple is part of your heritage, you're free to visit the island any time." Moka said, as they waved him off.
"Remember to take it easy once you're done as well." Bobo added.
"Blake, Weiss. Let Ruby and Yang know, I'm sorry I couldn't stick around. But I should be back at the Guild Hall by the time you all return." Raion stated, looking to the RWBY girls.
"Will do." Blake said.
"Just get going already." Weiss huffed.
"Wow, touchy." Raion snickered.
Without another word, Raion twisted around as he rolled through the air, heading in the direction of his next job, a smile on his face, with his arms stretched out, his vest flapping in the wind, with the scene changing to a distance out ahead of him, before Raion could be seen racing forward, with his smiling and flying form gracing the screen as he flew through the air.
~A/N~
Don't at me, I made Deliora the way I did, because I wanted to go for a more dynamic approach, with their true form, unlike in my Saiyans of Fairy Tail spinoff from Saiyan Heroes of U.A.
