Maizie's ears rang from the explosion. She groaned as she felt Abe's arms slip from her. She opened her eyes to see him sitting up. She watched as Abe stood up then turn to the door. She sat up herself. The landing on the floor jarred her bones. She pulled herself up into a standing position. As she was looking up, she spotted pictures that fell out of Abe's suit. Once she picked it up and took a closer look, she was pulled into a vision. Her eyes went white. She let out a gasp that alerted Abe.

She had no clue where she was. The ground seemed littered with small golden leaves. The walls were mechanical. As she looked around, she saw many figures. One figure looked as if he was a King. This King was old, his skin and hair were white. He had on a red robe lined with white fur. Antler-like crown protruded from his head. She turned when she heard footsteps.

A man dressed all in black with striking white hair that laid past his shoulder. She watched as he spoke. She couldn't hear anything. She could only watch as their mouths moved as they conversed.

This was useless. She couldn't hear anything!

Then suddenly he was fighting many people. Guards of the King but this man killed every one of them. Then he stopped. He looked up to see a woman. Maizie followed his eyesight and saw a woman who looked just like him. Blood trickled from her nose, and she looked back to see the man do the same. He killed a few more guards and then stood facing the King. He ran, slid under the two guards, and stabbed the King.

Maizie gasped.

The vision faded quickly as she was pulled back. She stumbled and Abe caught her. She held onto Abe's upper arm as she got her bearings back.

"Whoa," Abe said. "What did you see?"

"I…I don't know," Maizie said. "I think someone just killed a King."

Abe cocked his head. Maizie pulled back the hand that still held the picture. Abe looked at it, took it, then pocketed it.

"Okay, let's get out of here and I can do some research," Abe said.

Maizie nodded as she took her hands off Abe and he let her go.

"But the door is stuck. The explosion damaged it."

"Okay, hold tight," Maizie said as she and Abe held hands. Grey smoke wisped up and wrapped around them and they disappeared. They appeared in the room below them. Once the smoke faded away, Maizie let Abe's hand go.

They looked around the room and only spotted Liz. She sat on the ground, hunched over. They went over to her.

"Liz?" Maizie asked. "You okay?"

Liz nodded.

"Where's Hellboy?" Abe asked.

Liz pointed to a window with no glass, "Out there."

Abe walked over to it while Maizie helped Liz up. She had one arm under Liz's arm and the other around her waist. Once Liz stood up, she let her go by grazing her arm across her stomach and instantly pulled into another vision. Liz caught Maizie as she gasped, and her eyes turned white. Liz got pulled in with Maizie.

Liz and Maizie stood in a large kitchen. It was a room they had never seen before. They had no awareness of each other despite holding hands. A voice caught their attention and they turned to see an older version of them sitting at a table. Liz sat across from Maizie. Maizie leaned back in a chair with her feet up. A stomach protruded from her, a hand caressing it.

Present Maizie and Liz both eyes widened.

A pregnant Maizie?

Then a clatter of feet echoed, and two young kids barged in hollering for mom. Future Liz turned and the vision faded.

Maizie fell to her knees as the whites of her eyes faded. Suddenly weak with shock and exhaustion, she could no longer stand. Liz grunted with surprise, trying to hold onto Maizie.

"Maizie," Liz whispered.

Maizie looked up at her.

"Are you…?" Maizie whispered back.

Liz glanced over at Abe, "Not now." She looked back to her. She kneeled so they were at the same height.

"Was that you…pregnant?"

Maizie shook her head, "No. That's not me…it can't be."

"Are you two okay?"

Liz and Maizie looked at Abe. Liz nodded, "Yeah. She almost passed out. Help me get her up."

Abe went to Maizie's other side and together they helped her up. Maizie leaned more on Liz, trying to move away from Abe. He could sense that she didn't want his touch so once he was sure Liz could handle Maizie's weight, he backed off. He began walking to the entrance, the women following. Once they hit the doorway, the garbage truck they had transported in pulled up. Abe opened the door and helped them into it. Abe looked around for Hellboy and when he spotted him, he shook his head. Liz and Maizie went onto one of the benches while Abe stepped up behind them and shut the door. He sat across from them.

When the women sat down, a crunching sound was heard. Maizie pulled a broken pencil and her small drawing pad out from her back pocket. She had forgotten it and somehow survived the tooth fairy attack. She threw the pencil aside and held the pad up to her chest. She laid down, her head in Liz's lap. Liz and Abe looked at each other as Maizie closed her eyes.

"Where's Red?" Liz asked.

Abe pointed with his thumb, "He's out there. They've seen him so he's on camera now."

"We can't leave without him?"

Abe shook his head, "No we'll have to wait."

Liz nodded then set her head back on the darkened window. She let her fingers run through Maizie's hair. They waited in silence. Abe watched the women. Earlier before things went to shit, he had discovered that Liz was pregnant. And he knew Hellboy didn't know. She had made him promise to not tell and he wouldn't. But the mystery that perplexed him was Maizie. She had avoided his touch. After he had found Hellboy from above, he had turned to see the women. He knew she had a vision. He knew Liz lied for Maizie. Before he could even think any further, the door opened.

The truck rocked as Hellboy stepped into it. He had a big grin on his face. The rocking of the truck caused Maizie to lose hold on the pad. It toppled to the ground; the pad opened facing up. He leaned down to pick it up. The image caught his attention. It was of a little girl. He recognized his features in the face. He flipped through more pages, and it was the same little girl. He closed it and slipped it into one of his pockets.

He finally had the image of the daughter Maizie had envisioned last year.
