Chapter 7: Plans

Chirithy lay in a patch of sunlight in the throne room, happily soaking up the warmth on the tile floor, when a sudden sound jolted him awake.

"Huh!?" He blinked, looking up as the Keyblade corridor appeared and the three exited, returning from the dark realm.

"You're back!"

"Yep." Ven dismissed his armor as Chirithy ran and leapt into his arms. "And I don't know about them, but I'm exhausted."

Aqua dismissed her own armor, looking up at the windows. "It's late afternoon, so we probably should wait to sleep to make sure our sleep cycles go back to normal."

"Agreed." Terra yawned. "Why don't we get an early dinner and settle back in? I'll message Riku and King Mickey and let them know we're back."

Ven nodded, smiling as Chirithy nuzzled into his arms, happy to have his friend back home.

And Ven felt just as happy to be back home.

A few days later, Aqua sat in the throne room, reading, relaxing after their journey through the dark realm.

She felt slightly guilty that she couldn't continually search for Sora, but she felt emotionally exhausted after only a few days there. Everyone told her to take it slow.

And they were right.

Even Ven and Terra felt exhausted after a short time there.

They would keep searching, but only after a break to recover.

A call pulled at the back of her mind, making her sit up. She could see the light from the gem behind the chair shining from where she sat.

Standing up, she went over, smiling as the image of Master Yen Sid appeared. "Master, good to see you."

"It's good to see you as well. How are you faring after your journey to the Realm of Darkness?"

"Much better than before. Ven and Terra helped a lot just by being there. We didn't find any sign of Sora, but things went pretty well all things considered."

"Very good." He smiled. "I also wanted to let you know that I have more information on the coalition, which we have named the Sunrise Coalition."

"Sunrise Coalition? I like it." She smiled back. "Did you choose the worlds yet?"

"We have, and King Mickey has reached out to their leaders already. We chose your world along with Disney Town, Radiant Garden, Destiny Islands, Traverse Town, and Twilight Town."

She nodded. "I like it. I don't really know much about some of these worlds, but I'm excited to learn."

"We decided that each world should select two delegates to meet and discuss the terms of the coalition, as well as meet after an agreement is in place to continue relations. Disney Town has already selected its two, as has Destiny Islands and Radiant Garden."

"Who are the delegates."

The old wizard's eyes twinkled. "Disney Town selected Mickey's older half-brother and sister-in-law, Oswald and Ortensia."

Mickey had a brother? That was news to her.

"Radiant Garden selected two people I do not know much about, but they were highly recommended by the new council of leaders there. Their names are Quistis Trepe and Reeve Tuesti."

She didn't know those names either.

Wait…

"Council?"

"Yes, the monarchy was changed into a council just recently."

"Oh, interesting…"

"Destiny Islands selected Miyu Irino, Sora's father, and Akiko Miyano, Riku's mother. They wanted to help the worlds as much as they can, since their children are involved in the worlds already. Apparently, Kairi's father tried to convince Mickey to have three delegates, but since they'd be reporting directly to his wife, he agreed with just two."

Not surprising. They'd just found out a bit more than they thought about their children's adventures. And… Sora was missing. It was only natural his parents wanted to help now.

"Oh, speaking of Kairi, she has gone to Radiant Garden and has chosen to go to sleep and allow Ansem the Wise and his team to search her heart for clues to Sora."

"I… see…" Aqua's heart sank.

Kairi would go to sleep? Aqua was honestly hoping to talk with her and be a comfort to her while they searched for Sora.

Part of her even hoped to train the younger girl.

"Her bond with Sora is the strongest of all, so perhaps they will find something."

"Perhaps so…"

"And we need you to have two delegates as well, even though there are only three of you to choose from."

"Alright, I'll let you know what we decide."

"Thank you, Master Aqua."

"Thank you." The connection shut off just as Terra and Ven came into the room. "Hey, we need to talk for a minute."

"What's up?"

"That coalition that we talked about a few weeks ago, apparently our world needs to have two delegates to attend meetings."

Terra nodded. "I think Ven and I should do it. You're technically in charge of this world and can change it if needed. We can go and talk to others, but I don't think they'd mind you joining since there are only three of us."

"I agree." Aqua nodded. "Also, this might be a good opportunity."

"For what?"

"To look for apprentices." Terra nodded. "We're both masters. I'll be taking charge of your training, Ven, but you'll be a master in no time at all. We need to start considering taking on students of our own."

"Or take time to teach the others who want to continue on this path how to use their Keyblades to their fullest potential. Though, I guess a bunch of them just want a normal life now." Ven offered. Honestly, he couldn't see Roxas or Xion really wanting to continue from what he'd heard about them. Axel maybe, and Kairi and Riku too.

Nodding, Aqua stepped closer to them. "I know, but I think some would be content with just being reserve members. And the one I wanted to train isn't available."

"Huh?"

"Kairi has gone to sleep to allow Ansem the Wise and his team to search her heart for ties to Sora."

"Really?" Ven sighed. "It would have been cool to train with her."

"I know." Aqua stared up at the stained-glass window. "When she wakes up, I'll offer to train her some more. She's very talented, but I want to help her get even stronger."

Terra nodded. "Even so, we should look out for more apprentices. It isn't uncommon for each master to have two or more under their care. And since eventually there will be at least three of us, we could even run a school for it like how Scala ad Caelum used to work."

"We couldn't take on too many students, but I get your point."

"Terra," Ven cocked his head to the side, "do you think there are any more out there like you and Master Eraqus?"

"I don't know. Maybe. There might be some records in the library. I can check."

"Alright, so we can start there then."

"Right."

Terra walked off to the library, finding the records section.

Names of Keyblade wielders and who they descended from were written down in book after book. His own name sat in one of those books, as did Master Eraqus.

As both were bluebloods.

Descended from wielders of old.

He pulled the buckle off his belt, looking at the golden heart insignia that he and Eraqus both wore; Aqua and Ven both wore a silver one.

With a sigh, he put it back on and pulled off one of the books, beginning his search.

And eventually he found his own name…

And his great-grandmother's name: Lucina

And his grandfather and grandmother's names: Aelius and Rufina

And… his father's name: Iason
