The next day, Magnolia and Sonia were in their house, chatting away over some basics when they heard a door open. Hop came rushing in, to declare. "It's morning at last! And time for our adventure to truly start!" Gloria arrived, hearing her Dottler like he's a hat and having Acer put up a sweat from a jog. "We're all packed up and ready to give this a go."

Magnolia turned mellowly. "Good morning to you, young challengers." Sonia asked anxiously. "Hop, Gloria, is it true that you met a pokemon you didn't recognize? Is there anything more you can tell us about?" Gloria recalled. "What's there to say? The forest was all foggy and it got thicker until the wolf showed up." Hop remembered that. "Then you and Acer tried to fight it off, only for all of us to get passed out. It's pretty hazy from that point."

Sonia was still fascinated by that. "A right fount of information, you two are." Magnolia brought out two white wrist bands that have highlights of red. "Gloria, Hop, these are for you." She gave them to the children, Gloria put it on her right wrist and checked it out, finding a symbol of two crossing pillars. Brainy woahed as his trainer agreed. Magnolia explained as Hop got his band on. "Those are your Dynamax bands. I made them by fitting the Wishing Stars you found last night into those bands."

Gloria smiled in appreciation. "Thank you Professor." Hop cheered. "This is brilliant! It's just like the one Lee has on him, too. Now we can Dynamax our pokemon like he does!" Magnolia huhed. "My word, you don't waste any time, do you?" She corrected him. "I think you'll find it's not so simple as all that. There are a number of conditions you must meet if you hope to have your pokemon dynamax and take on that gigantic form."

Gloria ohed. "It's a strong bond, right?" Sonia ehed. "Actually, it's pretty picky as to where you can use it at all and if you really want your pokemon to do well in that form, you need to find these rocks that are only available in certain places. Pokemon like to munch on them, you know." Gloria listened well as Magnolia nodded to her granddaughter. "I'm sure they'll figure the rest out." She advised to the trainers. "Don't be afraid to go to all sorts of places and meet all sorts of pokemon. That will help you fill out your pokedex too."

Hop folded his arms in confidence. "The Legend of my Reign is finally about to begin!" He and Gloria looked to each other. "Come on, I'll beat you to the station!"

Gloria cringed, kept her team in balance and quickly turned. "Sorry to just run, but I got some training to beat!" That much is understandable. She and Hop rushed out the door in a sprint to the station.

One thing about the girl's balance habit and the discovery that Brainy has become part psychic, she and her partners kept an exercise in both mind and body. Keeping up with Hop and even getting ahead as they went up the stars and made it to the town. Hop doubled on his sprint and reached right behind the girl as she made it to the train station. Out of wind and in a pant, Hop asked. "What were you doing the last couple days? You're moving like it's nothing?"

Gloria remembered an eventful night of discovery. "After helping Brainy exercise his mind, I'd thought to do the same as well. Keeping focus while letting my legs run." She thought about it. "Although, I do need to consider getting that third member of the team. I want to see my options." Hop groaned. "You're going to need to use all those pokemon, if your going to make it as a trainer. Maybe this would help."

He gave Gloria a T.M disk labeled, swift. It isn't exactly a move the girl's too interested in, but any bit helps. "This is one of those technical machines. These can get handy if I can find more and I can use them over and over again too." Hop nodded. "Right! Lee gave this one to me ages ago, so it could help you out too." He turned. "The Gym Challenge starts at Motostoke, our train's waiting for us."

He, Gloria and the misfits entered the station and were about to go past the guard when a voice called from behind. "Not quite so fast, you two." The group turned to find the two Mum's catching up. Both shared a moment to be teary eyed, Hop eeked. "What are you doing here, Mum?"

Hop's Mum rested a hand on her hip. "I knew this day was coming since the moment you chose Grookey as a partner, darling." Gloria's Mum put her knuckles to her hips. "Professor Magnolia was kind enough to let us know before you took off, that your setting off from home." She admitted. "I'd figured most of that out, every time I saw you and your new friends practice."

Gloria blushed. "Aw, Mum." The mother brought out two sets worth of camping equipment. "So here- a last gift to see you well set on your way. All the kit you need for camping." The children took the camping supplies and packed it up with their gear. Gloria's Mum breathed out in pride. "No matter what happens out there, if you and your partners are together, I know you'll be fine."

Gloria went to give her Mum a hug. "Thanks, Mum. At the very least, we won't be hungry out in the rain." The Mum laughed as Hop smirked with confidence at his Mum. "And just think how lucky you are, soon you'll know that your sons are going to be the first pair of Champion brothers. Because I'm going to be a Champion when you next see me." The Mum sighed at the over confidence. "Of course you will, darling. Anyway, do have fun and take care of yourselves! You'll be welcome back home anytime!" Gloria called her partners back and made the lead to the train. "We're going to be off now. If something big happens and we need a breather, you'll know when we'll be around."

The Mum's watched on content as the rivals got on the train and found a seat. Gloria and Hop used their Phones to look up at where the train is going to take them through. A place called the Wild Area, which surrounds Motostoke. A major sight to behold, that always has a variety of pokemon waiting for new trainers. The two cheered at the kind of excitement that awaits them.

In a quarter of an hour, they arrived at a stop. They took off to find a Station Master minding his own business and Hop asking. "Hey, Mister Station Master! Isn't this the wild area? What're we stop here for?" The adult answered. "Yes, this is the Wild Area Station, make no mistake. I'm sorry to tell you that the train is halted, due to a flock of Wooloo on the tracks."

Gloria tilted her had upward. "It's always those sheep!" Hop agreed. "But this Wild Area is massive, with loads of pokemon to battle here!" The girl agreed to that. "I guess if the event's not going to be for another hour, we can get away with a bit of detour."

They gave their thanks to the Station Master and took off to get a view of a vast wilderness, mostly of earth, lakes, trees and distinct structures in the west side of the zone. At the east is a path under a bridge that feels foreboding at the moment and ahead is a steam punk city. Hop pointed onward. "That's Motostoke, way off that way!" He and Gloria faced each other, the girl squeed. "And between here and there are countless new pokemon waiting to be met!"

Hop noticed someone following them. "Oh, hello. And if it isn't Sonia." The adult fondled a piece of her hair and admitted. "My gran gave me a proper earful, in her own way." She mimicked an elder. "Those two young trainers are setting out on an journey, what what are you doing with your life?"

Gloria cringed. "That sounds rough." Sonia was getting over it. "Ah... never you mind that! Nothing to worry yourselves over! Besides, I've been curious about that pokemon you met in the forest. I'd been thinking I should look into it, so the timing works out fine." She smiled wide. "If I discover something really huge, then maybe even Gran'll admit I've got some talent."

Hop's pretty intimidated by that goal. "Yikes! Being an adult has got its own challenges, eh?" Sonia asked firmly. "I said you needn't worry about it!" She put her hands at her hips and huffed. "I'm just glad to be on the road again. Really! It's been ages. It'll be great fun to fish and camp and rough it outside again." Hop readied to rush out. "Well, I'm off to go stick my head in as many of those red glowing dens as I can find."

Gloria felt it was a good idea. "That's the idea here too. We're going to battle the tar out of those dynamaxed pokemon and get a page in the Pokedex!" Hop took off to the east as Sonia rightful felt ditched. "What cheek! Dynamax pokemon are really on another level, you know!" She advised to Gloria. "When you fight those, you might want to dynamax your partner too. You'll find those dens in any spot that emits a red beam of light. If they're purple, then you know you've found a rare pokemon. If your in for it, check it out."

Gloria thought of something and looked west to a forest as Sonia handed her a pokemon box link. "With this, you'll be able to put pokemon from your team, into your boxes or take pokemon out of the boxes and put them in your team. Nice right?" Gloria found that handy and went to putting the captured pokemon, save for Acer and Brainy, into the box. "There we go. Now I'll just need some more pokemon."

She asked. "Do you mind coming along for a bit, until I get the hang out of this place?" Sonia didn't mind. "Well, I'm not suppose to carry you every step of the way. But I could learn a bit from seeing a wild Dynamaxed pokemon in action. You can do at lost worse for raid partners."

The ladies had a walk in the area and found it quite sunny. Spinning by the trees were strange Baltoys, a whistling Nuzleaf pestering a Lombre and more peculiar, a Vulpix. Brainy and Acer had quite the exercise, helping Gloria catch these specimens and they found a den with a bright red beam. The girl was a tad nervous to check it out and saw at the far end of the woods, in a corner by two trees, a purple beam. That advise tempted her to check that out first, finding a duo of kids with a Togepi and Eevee. The Togepi trainer asked. "What are we going to do? None of the grown ups want that apple!"

Sonia ohed while Gloria asked. "An apple pokemon?" The two children were astonished and the Eevee trainer nodded. "Yeah, like the one big Milo has! A wyrm lives in it and can get real strong when it evolves!" Sonia's eyes glimmered as Gloria asked. "What do you think? Should I go make it part of my team?"

The woman nodded. "It depends, but it could be handy for later." They agreed to help the children out with their adventure and stepped into the formation of red rocks. Everything was engulfed in a storm. The four looked up to an imposing force and watched red clouds make way, showing a giant red apple with two leafy eye stalks sticking out of the top. Giving off a moderate, if deep, hiss like battle cry. Gloria and Sonia sent out Brainy and Yamper while the others sent out their respected pokemon. Sonia wondered with grace. "Alright, darling! Let's nuzzle this Applin!"

The canine yipped and rushed at the apple to nuzzle it into paralysis while Gloria called Brainy into the ball and powered him up. "Let's give this Dynamax a go Brainy!" Her Dynamax band charged a redish power into the ball, called it to enlarge into a white ball and felt the weight before tossing it back.

Pop! Brainy popped out of the ball and enlarged to match the size of the Applin. The Eevee trainer squeaked. "Come on, help that Dottler out!" She clapped in sync to an Eevee cheering as Gloria ordered. "Hit him with struggle bug and we'll have him down in no time!" The Dottler flashed his spots and fired green projectiles of butterflies. A Max Flutterby! The Applin flipped on it's back and rolled, it glowed a spectral power and caused rocks to slam into the bug type that wit stood it. The Togepi trainer wiggled a finger and had Togepi spray a life dew. Sonia crossed her arms. "I think if we take a bite out of that naughty apple, Brainy will do the rest!"

The dog rushed for that bite as Gloria clapped. "Again! One more max flutterby!" The Dottle grunted and fired, causing a chain reaction that made the Applin burst out Dynamax power and sparkle in red lightning. This is Gloria's chance, she charged an empty pokeball and enlarged it. She tossed it at the Applin and watched it roll to it's face, it opened to let loose a suction that drew the Applin in, caused it to swirm and on engulfing it, landed on the earth.

Shake...shake...shake...it flickered, shrank back to normal size and clicked.

With that, Gloria has caught the Applin. She powered Brainy down, went to pick up her new partner and found a few in the collection, berries, fancy looking apples and two pieces of red rocks. "Oh, this is the stuff Acer's gonna need!"

She stuffed her share into the bag and waited for the others to take their plunder. On stepping out, Gloria had a chance to check her capture. Apparently a mellow Applin, with a unique type combination of grass and dragon. It only had two moves of note, astonish and withdraw. Not that Gloria minded. She brought out the Applin and waved. "Hi there! You're the kind of pokemon I was looking for, you mind helping me with this tournament?" The Applin was a bit injured from the ordeal and the girl took out a potion spray, giving a sting of a heal and giving the Applin a reason to hide in her apple. (I'm just going to be useless! Even when I get big.)

Pop!

Out of a ball came Brainy, who over heard what was said. (Au contraire! You just need a little aid to begin that climb!) He blinked his lights. (Or... study as I'm doing.) Gloria asked the children. "Do you know when an Applin can evolve? Because the sooner we know, the sooner we can get started?"

The Eevee trainer thought about it while the Togepi trainer wiggled her lips. "We... don't know. Just that the two pokemon Milo has, are still wearing their apples!" Sonia wasn't going to tell. "What does the Pokedex say about this?" Gloria checked, found out the Applin's a female and read the description out loud. "Applin: the Apple Core pokemon: Grass-Dragon: As soon as it's born, it burrows into an apple. Not only does the apple serve as its food source, but the flavor of the fruit determines its evolution." She didn't read the other half and woahed. "So all we got to do is find a fresh apple and she'll evolve." She gasped and brought out the fancy apple. "Then how about this?"

The Applin stuck her eyes out and give a turn away, Brainy sighed. (That's not the right kind.) Gloria cursed her luck and was ready to call them back. "Then, I guess we'll have to look for one. Until then, I'm keeping you with the team. Just know when you're training for a real fight. Kay?"

The Applin whined as she was called in and Brainy sat down before getting recalled. Gloria planned and looked around to find more raid dens. "I'll bet we'll have some supplies if we clear these others out. Then we'll be ready for Hammerlocke!"

Asid from learning some new things and feeding the rock candies to Acer, the raid encounters weren't anything too special. One was against a bounsweet, one was an interesting encounter with a Lotad that brought about water and grass moves, another was against a foul tempered durant that flipped over when Acer used a max flare. It was still a hefty haul that the girl was going to use well. Out of the final den, Gloria looked upon Motostoke and ran. Huffing in a chant along the way.

They met up to the entrance of the city and went up the stairs. Entering a brick city with pipes and wheel like devices as a symbol. A head looks like a platform attacked to a wheel, meant to bring travelers up. Sonia advised to the girl. "It's a real ace to have gone through the Wild Area like that. That trek has ran the lot of us ragged!" Gloria agreed and took a quick stop at the pokemon center, letting the two children go about their day and had her partners given to the nurse. While that is occuring Sonia showed a computer that has a familiar creature sleeping on top. A Rotom possessing something. Gloria huhed. "Rotom's able to go into these too?" Sonia nodded. "That's a Rotomi. It's a handy machine if you want to customize a certain something you'll be in for and apply the pokemon you're storing for some work. It can also be handy if you want to gain access to your storage box while resting."

The Nurse finished checking up the trio of pokemon and gave it back to the girl who asked. "What does the work give them?" Sonia answered. "Nothing too much beyond experience. But sometimes they'll give you some free supplies for camping and the road ahead. In case you go broke for somethin'"

Gloria considered that. "I'll give it a look after I register! Everyone's got to be a part if we're gonna win!" Sonia agreed to that and let the girl take off. Heading to the elevator device deeper in the town and getting caught off guard by a Charizard roaring. Gloria sharply turn to find Charizard calling to her to wait and Leon, who was following behind. Looking like he would have been lost had Charizard not kept to a trial. The girl took a deep breath and waved. "Oi, did your partner get lost along the way again?"

The Charizard closed his eyes and give a grunt while Leon admitted. "Even with that thing-" He pointed to the cog machine. "Even with a huge old thing like this bang in the middle of the city, I still get lost."

Gloria admitted. "I've wandered a bit in the wild area too and gotten more work that I need to do." Leon saw the determination and was impressed. "Once you find a partner that looks special, you'll know it's going to be worth raising it to the peak when you see that potential. One look at you, tells me that you've become a Trainer worthy of the endorsement I gave you!"

Gloria grew shy about that. "Oh come on, we've only talked yesterday." Leon went for his bag. "I'd reckon because of that, you might be ready for this." He brought out a piece of charcoal to give to the girl. Gloria wowed. "This is something Acer could hold if he wants to boost his fire moves!"

She put it away and turned to the contraption. "If I go up here, I'll be at this Stadium I've been hearing about." Leon nodded. "You're on it with a keen eye. Just know it goes up, really fast. So hang on." Gloria waved in thanks and stepped into the platform. She grabbed a rail and heard a klink that made the wheel turn fast and bring her to the upper reaches of the city. So fast that Gloria felt her breakfast roll in her stomach. She breathed in and promised. "Alright, don't eat heavy before getting on this." She noticed a brick walled Stadium just ahead of her, with banners of various gyms decorating it.

There were bystanders, talking with one another about the event and a peculiar man wearing a pokeball as part of a mascot costume. Covering his whole head while he's cheering. Gloria gave him the time of day to talk and was given a free pokeball for her troubles. Learning well the name, Ball Guy. She went to the building to find Hop there, she asked. "You made it here ahead of me, eh?"

Hop snickered. "I'd stopped while I was ahead." He flexed and cheered. "Motostoke Stadium! This is where the opening ceremony well be held. Everyone'll be watching the opening ceremony for the Gym Challenge." He pointed a thumb to himself "My Mum," point to Gloria. "your Mum" and raised his hands to the air. "the whole world!" Gloria shivered. "That's making you nervous too?" Hop shook his head. "Nah, this isn't nerves. We're only trembling because we're this excited!" He turned to get the door. "Come on Gloria! It's time the world learned our names!"

The two entered the building and found the lobby to be full of people who have registered and are nervous about the challenge they're in for. Ahead of them is a boy in a purple jacket that covered most of his body. He had grey socks that had dark spots, a dark purple bag at his back and a logo of something hexagonal stitched in. His hair was platinum blonde and fluffy in curls. He turned to brush his hair all prime and proper, showing purple eyes before walking ahead. Forcing Hop to move out of the way and annoying the two. The boy waited till the competitor was out of hearing to ask. "Seriously? What a piece of work..." A receptionist called to the two. "If you're here to register for the Gym Challenge, I'll need to see your endorsement, please."

The trainers showed the man the paper work, the receptionist was impressed. "Fancy that. This is the first time we've had challengers endorsed by the Champion, himself!" He thought outloud. "The two of you must be something special."

Hop smirked smug. "I'm his little brother, Hop. And soon to be the next Champion! Get me all signed up, will ya?" The man stuttered nervously and got to typing. "W-well yes, I was about to. If you'll give me a mom-" He got the names in. "There! You two have successfully been registered as Gym Challengers. You can now chose your prefer number for your Uniform, if you'd be so kind." He explained. "It will be displayed on the back of the uniform you must wear for any official match."

Hop decided in 189 while Gloria picked 227. "Very well and here. Please wear this Challenge Band at all times to identify yourselves as Gym Challengers. The Opening Ceramony for the Gym Challenge will be held here tomorrow. All the trainers taking part have been booked a room at the nearby Budew Drop Inn." Gloria whistled to that as Hop's more than pleased. "That's the League Chairman for you! Even booked us all hotel rooms!" He turned. "I'm off to check the fancy digs!" He sprinted out and left Gloria to take in what she did.

She noticed a girl in a black jacket, a one piece pink dress, a black color with a three spiked circle as a necklace. Black heels with a spike cleat, black hair tied into two pig tails, the knots looking like a set of horns, light green eyes and a stoic look. "Drat, never got to see what's his deal." By her was a yellow hamster, having brown fur on the left side of it's body, black fur on the right and yellow from the head to the lower half. Pulling out a seed from it's pouch, like one their pockets and nibbled on it. Gloria noticed the pink cheeks and wanted to bring out a dex while the trainer asked. "You're lookin' a bit gobsmacked by all this. You got to be from a small country town, is that it?"

Gloria nodded. "Yeah, this is all pretty new to me. You're from a place in the middle of nowhere too?" The girl nodded. "You can say that. Name's Marnie, don't take it personally when I kick all your butts!" Gloria woahed. "Call me Gloria, and we'll see about that." She used the dex to get a look at the hamster. "Blip! Blip! Morpeko: The Two Sided Pokemon: Electric- Dark. As it eats the seeds stored up in its pocket-like pouches, this Pokémon is not just satisfying its constant hunger. It's also generating electricity. It carries electrically roasted seeds with it as if they're precious treasures. No matter how much it eats, it always gets hungry again in short order."

Marnie warned Gloria. "She's known to get into a really bad temper of she stays hungry for too long." That much the girl understood. "I'd get that too if I miss a meal!"

She sent out her Scorbunny and showed off her starter. "You mind walking with me to the Inn?" Marnie hesitated on that and looked to her Morpeko, who's nibbling on a seed while watching the rabbit look to that. Acer put his hands at his hips and waved. (Hi there, looks like we're going to be at it one day!) The Morpeko nodded. (Ya can say that again.) She got a smell and smiled. (I think I'm going to like you.) She offered a hand shake of rivalry, one that the Scorbunny took in glee.

The rabbit asked something that the hamster admitted to in pride, sparking a friendship that made Marnie's decision. "If our partner's are gettin' along, then we can have a talk." The girls left the building and went to their right, checking each others wears out and asking where they got them from. Marnie was pretty impressed about where the bag came from and made Gloria blush.

Once they got to the Inn, they checked out the lobby, which had a stair way to the receptionist. In between the stairs is a golden statue of a knight, with a sword and shield raised up. Observing it was Sonia and a curious Hop. The woman turned to see Gloria with a new friend. "Hiya! Looks like you all got yourselves registered." Hop asked. "Sonia, what're doing at our hotel?"

The adult answered with interest. "I'm researching the mysterious pokemon that are said to be in the Slumbering Weald. I reckon if I look into some of Galar's legends, I might figure something out. Care to join me?"

Marnie turned to Gloria and asked. "What's she yakerin' on about?" Gloria took a deep breath and explained. "Hop and I wandered in there and met a pokemon that knocked us out cold. We're thinking there's more to it." Marnie awe'd and looked to the statue. "So any idea why this is here?" Sonia wondered as well. "It's the statue of the hero who once saved the Galar region. I could run through the legend right quick. if you fancy?"

Gloria asked. "Give us all the details, we could brain storm together." Sonia did so. "Long ago...a great black storm covered the Galar region. People called it "the Darkest Day." The land was assaulted by gigantic Pokémon...but they were defeated by a single young hero bearing a sword and shield. The statue here is meant to depict the young hero of that legend. We still don't understand what kind of sword and shield the hero actually had. And what this "black storm" is supposed to be is just another mystery... Whatever it was, it blotted out the skies all across Galar. I suppose that tracks with it being called the Darkest Day, but still..." Hop huhed. "I suppose that hero must've been about as strong as Lee, then! Looks like you're going to have your hands full with plenty of research, Sonia."

Gloria agreed. "What are the black storms? What are those swords and shields? How is that involved with the wolf!" Marnie took a deep breath and looked to the woman that is piecing together the questions. "You'll be alright." Sonia laughed to that. "Thanks. I'll muddle through somehow- don't you worry!" She asked. "You three are staying here at at the hotel tonight, though, aren't you? Shouldn't you check in?" Hop agreed with that. "We probably should! And we'll look out for you, too, Sonia. If we hear anything about the hero or whatnot, we'll tell you!"

Sonia nodded at the good will as the three went up the stairs to the receptionist. Finding would be participants blocked off by a band of rambunctious punks. In grey jackets, black clothes that have hints of pink, having pink mohawks, metal bands and spikes. Marnie cringed as Gloria went closer, a girl of the group declared. "We came all the way to this big city so that we could properly cheer on Gym Challengers! Team Yell is here to help after all! You're in for a battle if you wanna stop us!"

Gloria realize they're not getting out of the way and perked. "I'm up for that!" The group of hooligans turned, showing purple face stripes and an black x across their face. Gloria's hearing rock for some reason and noticed the ladies were holding a poster looking like a particular someone. A large man of the group, brought out a black and pink, double blow horn and got aggressive. "Didn't we tell you, mate? You get in our way, and you're in for a battle!" He bellowed into the horn and sent out a Zigzagoon. "Team Yell's all about helpin'. Helpin' one special trainer win the Gym Challenge, that is!" Gloria sighed as the Zigzagoon barked furiously. She looked to her Scorbunny and didn't notice Marnie putting a palm on her face. "So a warm up before we check out for lunch? I'm good with that! Acer, give him a double kick!"

The Scorbunny wasted no time getting to the foes personal and kicked him to his trainer in one kick. The Yell grunt realized quickly. "I'm definitely pathetic!" He yelled out. "Oi, gimmie, a break here! Team Yell! Get revenge for me, wouldja?"

One of the girls stepped in and waved the poster. "Course I've got you covered, mate! What could be better than a battle in our lovely hotel lobby?" The girl raised the poster high, stretched it and yelled. "Witness me, Marnie!"

Gloria looked at the poster, saw Marnie's image and gasped in so much shock that she didn't notice the grunt sent out a Nikit. The girl got over the shock and is startled by the fox that snickering. "Eek! Acer, again!" The Scorbunny noticed the poster, is raising an eyebrow and rushed at the fox for a fast k.o. The Yell girl's a bit astonished at how she got carried away and stepped aside. "Right, you're a pro. Sorry about that."

Hop went to Gloria's side in curiosity as a thin male, Yell grunt and a teenage girl with pimples took over for the fallen grunts. "Sneaking in some battles without me?" He winked. "Come on, I need some training myself." Gloria snickered. "Well, that wasn't really much of a sweat. More the merrier I say!" The thin grunt grumbled. "Oi, we're gonna make you whimper with all our yelling!" The teenager agreed. "Yeah, the whimper of your defeat!"

The two sent out a Nikit and a Zigzagoon. Hop sent out Rooki, with a plan in mind. Gloria ordered fast. "Double kick the nikit and it's a goal!" The Scorbunny charged as Hop pointed. "Rush through that Zigzagoon with a rock smash!" The two charged in dark types that realize they're way in over their head and huddled together. POW!

They're knocked out cold, the male huhed. "Well, there goes my happy yells." The girl agreed. "We'd used all that up for the Gym Challenge Opening Ceramony, darn it!" The rough looking man agreed and was about to cry. "Whyyyyy!" Marnie had enough and approached them. "What are you lot doin' here?!" Gloria stepped out of the way as the grunts yelped in shock. "Marnie?!" The group leader pleaded. "N-n-nothin'. We was just." Marnie groaned. "I know you're all terribly curious 'bout the Gym Challengers, but you gotta show a bit of restraint." Gloria giggled. "Looks like they know ya." Marnie took a bow in apology. "Sorry 'bout them! They're just a bunch of my fans. Call themselves Team Yell and follow me around, cheerin' for me where ever I go." She groaned. "Ug. I think they've let it go to their heads a bit." She looked to the grunts and tried to shoo them away. "Come on, you lot! Back home with you now!" She stepped a foot and scared the grunts away, letting the challengers register for a room.

Gloria admitted. "I guess this could have been a bit of trouble if they were stronger trainers. But a warm up before relaxing is good for the body after the last couple days." Marnie wiggled her lips shyly. "They're so caught up with wantin' to support me and all that, they tend to get a bit shirty with other Gym Challengers. Sorry if they tried to cause you trouble."

Hop huhed. "So you're a Gym Challenger, too?" Gloria nodded. "You would have noticed if you spotted her like I did." Hop's a bit envious of Marnie. "With Team Yell nearby, huh? Pretty impressive that she already has a set of fans to call her own." The girl gave a sweet smile, tilted her head to notice a line was gone and pointed. "Looks like it's your turn now." The two realized that to be so and went to register, getting keys and everything before letting Marnie get hers. Gloria figured. "I guess since we're all rivals, we'll have to talk later. If we don't got to go out to eat, we'll see you when we see you." Marnie nodded. "Like wise."
