Sunday - 8pm
The night is young as stars are in the sky and there are a handful of cars on the road, heading to various locations. Of those cars on the road there was one minivan on the road. To most it looks like a regular minivan, however it is filled with parents. Including the parents who have 11 kids.
"I can't believe we are invited to go to an organization for parents in big families like us." Lynn Sr mentioned in anticipation.
"I know, we get to see parents who also have big families like ours throughout all of Michigan." Rita responded. "I wonder why we were invited."
"Oh honey, we are great parents. We have so many talented kids, a musician who knows how to play several instruments, a comedian who has her own business, a little mechanic/animal enthusiast, and our star athlete." Lynn Sr. reminded, getting emotional.
"You're right. I mean look at us, Lori's going to college soon, Leni has a job at Reiningers, Lola can win any pageant she competes in , and Lily… my baby." Rita commented, also becoming emotional.
"Not to mention we manage to provide so much for our kids. They have food to eat, they can pursue all of their interests, and we give them the freedom to handle things themselves." Rita reminded her husband.
"Look at all these other parents, think of all the people who can truly understand what it is like to be parents of a big family." Lynn Sr commented.
"I wonder what we are going to talk about?" Rita questioned. "How to get the kids out to door on time, handling money, staying active, careers, helping with school and so much more."
"I don't know, but we are doing so well at this. We could teach them a few things." Lynn Sr. proclaimed confidently.
"Everyone will be so impressed by how we parents our kids." Rita confidently stated.
"Looks like we are almost here." Lynn Sr. noticed. "Tomorrow we finally get to show what those other parents who the Loud parents really are."
Monday - 11:00am
"Out of all the big families in Michigan no one can compare to the Loud Family. Between the patriarch Lynn Loud Sr. and the matriarch Rita Loud they are the proud parents of 11 kids. With ten daughters and one son there is only one guarantee, there is always chaos."
"From an outsider's perspective the Loud House is a consistent source of chaos and insanity. The kids running around every which way, explosions, yelling, fights over who wants what and other trivial everyday things. The neighbors may have complained to Rita and Lynn Sr., but it doesn't change the fact that Rita and Lynn Sr. are "competent" parents. The house only has 1 bathroom, the family is full of hand-me-downs, the household is tight with money, and so much more."
"However the most important part of being a parent is how they interact with their child."
"In the Loud House, things were the same as normal for a regular Sunday. The kids have already woken up and are already preparing for the day. The household is the same as always: the kids are doing their own thing and their parents Rita and Lynn Sr. are dealing with work."
"We'd love to showcase some clips that we think truly describe the Loud family."
The background noise has been muffled for better audio clarity because as you know the Louds really live up to their last name.
Sunday - 4:50pm
"Starting with the oldest Lori, we know her as a typical 17 year old. Obsessed with texting, very popular in school, very responsible. So responsible in fact that she often looks after her 10 younger siblings at the request of her parents. She's Miss Reliable, always there for her parents whenever they need help with her siblings. She's so good at taking care of her siblings every need, she's like another parent, literally a paragon of perfection with no ego at all."
"Lori, there you are. I know this is short notice but I need you to watch over your siblings." Rita requested.
"Okay… for how long?"
"We will be leaving tonight and we won't be back until Tuesday afternoon when you guys get home from school." Rita replied.
"What?!" Lori half yelled. "We all have to go to school in the morning, we all have after school activities, and I ….."
"I know it's a lot, Lori but you can handle it. I have some dishes already for breakfast so all you need to do is prepare dinner. My recipe for Monday's dinner is on top of the refrigerator." Lynn Sr. reassured.
"This means that you can't get sidetracked tomorrow. You can't go out with friends, go to the mall, stay after school for any reason, or text/call Bobby." Rita commanded.
"But I had plans tomorrow. Lori complained. "What should I tell my siblings?"
"I'm sorry young lady but we are counting on you to come through for us." Rita stated firmly. "Besides I'm sure your sisters and brother will understand."
"Can you do this for us kiddo?" Lynn Sr. requested.
"You can count on me." Lori sighed in admission, hearing the chaotic mess waiting for her in the background.
Sunday - 5pm
"Next there is resident fashionista 16 year old Leni Loud. So nice and accommodating, always putting others before herself. She's so tolerant of everyone, nothing can upset her, she could never hurt anything. I wonder what goes on in her head, why she thinks the way she does, how did she make it through school. But it's fine, the standards are so low that common sense doesn't even matter."
"Hi you guys…!" Leni said happily to her parents.
"Leni…sweetie, what are you doing?" Lynn Sr. questioned.
"I remember someone telling me I should look before I leap so that is what I'm doing." Leni stated as she was looking closely at the ground.
"There is nothing in my way." Leni said to herself as she leaped forward, then noticed her parents smiling.
"What?" Leni commented confusedly.
"Oh Leni, please… never change." Rita said amused, patting her head.
Sunday - 5:55pm
"This sister truly lives up to her last name. Luna Loud, the embodiment of a rockstar, so much potential, so much to do with her life. Reborn from the monotony of her past, music is her future. She doesn't need anyone holding her back, who cares if she is too much for them. Luna is her music and that is all she needs. She's so Loud and Proud that people use sign language after they hear her."
"Luna." Rita and Lynn Sr. realized as they heard the audible music in the cacophony of noise.
"Mom, Dad, check this out!" Luna exclaimed happily as she passionately played her signature electric guitar so loud that neighbors can hear.
"What is it?" Rita questioned, ears ringing intensely from Luna's performance.
"It's my new tune I've been working on. What do you think?" Luna remarked in excitement.
"It's wonderful Luna…" Lynn Sr. mentioned somewhat loudly with his ears still ringing in shock.
"Sweet!" Luna said as she kept playing her guitar. As she plays the guitar we see a school photo of Luna in the background as she was in 6th grade with her appearance being obscured by an x made by a sharpie.
Sunday - 6:40pm
"Who is goofy, inventive, and starving for attention….. It's the jokester Luan Loud. She is all about fun and laughter, something that is really refreshing in today's world. Luan is so good at her craft that no one can take her seriously. She has dedicated herself to comedy to the point where she has a business, but she still finds time to make endless puns that no one asked for… so quirky! Then there is April Fools Day… and let's just say it's a time where the Joker would be proud of her.
"What's the best way to carve wood? Whittle by whittle. What's the action like at a circus? In-tents. What grades did the pirate get on his report card? Seven Cs. What's the best name for a man who can't stand? Neil. What do you call a fake noodle? An impasta! Hahahahahahahahaha..HAHAHAHAHA!" Luan joked rapidly to her parents. After these jokes Luan laughs so hard she is on the floor writhing in her laughter.
"Luan…" Lynn Sr. looked at her in concern.
"Oh I'm just practicing rapid fire jokes for a new comedy routine." Luan explained. As Luan finished a full minute of laughter, she used her joybuzzer hand to grab onto Lynn Sr. resulting in a mild shock.
"You never miss an opportunity for comedy. If your path isn't working, pie-vot." Luan jokes, standing up as she throws a pie in Rita's face.
"I have plenty more jokes where that came from." Luan mentioned
"...Okay then." Rita muttered, wiping the pie off her face as she and her husband left the kitchen.
Sunday - 6:35pm
"Now we have Lynn Loud Jr., the star athlete of the Loud House. She can play any sport and must be the best at all costs. Everyone LOVES Lynn no matter how many mistakes she makes and what is done to correct her behavior. Her attitude reflects most athletes today regarding ego, sportsmanship, aggression, and humility. She'll make anything a sport even if it makes no sense. Lynn's dedication to her superstitions is so strong that it caused her household to change forever. As you know she is named after her father… it makes you wonder who is the favorite.
"Lynn Loud has the ball in her sight. The score is all tied up, it is up to me to win for the team." Lynn remarked to herself as she was skating around the house.
"The goal is in sight, there is only 10 seconds left on the clock. It's do or die." Lynn Jr. remarked, dodging items on the ground making her way with the ball.
"There's 5 seconds left on the clock." Lynn remarked making her way to the kitchen passing her parents in a cartoonish cloud of dust. "She's about to make her swing, will she make it?"
"It's going, it's going, Goal! Lynn Loud wins again! The crowd goes wild!" Lynn exclaimed in victory
"I see you are preparing for the field hockey season." Rita observed.
"Heck yes, I am! These chumps won't know what hit them." Lynn remarked.
"That's the spirit LJ!' Lynn Sr. remarked, giving his daughter a high five.
"Lynn Loud, Lynn Loud, Lynn Loud, Lynn Loud, Lynn Loud." Lynn Jr. chanted to herself, not noticing the damages she caused around the house.
Sunday - 6:10pm
"Lincoln Loud, the middle child and only son of the Loud House. He's everything his family needs him to be, without Lincoln how else can the family deal with their problems. You know what they say: good at all, master of none; what can he do that makes him stand out? It's interesting that he is the only boy in the house and the fact that he will always be outnumbered. Lincoln is so forgiving towards his sisters, he will forgive anyone no matter how bad they mess up. It's not like Lincoln is jealous of his sisters, he just compensates with manipulation and subversion. His tenacity is unparalleled but rarely rewarded or valued; whatever you do, don't mention L-U-C-K."
"Hey Lincoln, what are you doing?" Rita questioned.
"I was reading "Ace Savvy: Shell Game". In the comic, Ace Savvy fights the villain Mister Marble as has to save the civilians by going through a gigantic warehouse that filled with lasers. The only way to get through safely is to get under these moving shells for cover. He has to dodge several lasers that pop up every 10 seconds. Hitting one of them will cause sprinklers of acid rain to pour around the warehouse. Ace can't touch it but Ms. Marble is immune to its effects. Ace Savvy fights Ms. Marble in an epic fight/chase scene before sending her to jail and rescuing the civilians." Lincoln passionately explained.
"Uh.. Mom, Dad?" Lincoln questioned seeing them zone out sightly.
"Huh…yes son!" Lynn Sr. remarked, breaking out of his daze alongside Rita.
"It gave me the inspiration to write this comic "Ace Savvy: Card Castle". I just finished it and it's about Ace Savvy explores this castle made out of cards and has to fight Mr. Breeze before he destroys the castle." Lincoln explained showing his parents the comic
"Wow I see you worked hard on it, where are your sisters?" Rita questioned.
"What do you mean?" Lincoln remarked.
"You know, your sisters. You wrote them into the comic as superheroes who help… What's his name?" Lynn cluelessly replied.
"It's Ace Savvy and I was thinking about writing this comic to see what Ace Savvy can do without the rest of the Full Deck." Lincoln defended, his frustration growing.
"Come on Lincoln, your sisters need to be there, it would make this story so much better. Wouldn't you want your comic to be the best it could be?" Rita questioned.
"Yes…but."
"Keep working on that comic and soon enough it will be ready for people to read it." Lynn Sr. remarked obliviously as both he and his wife left for another room.
"Oh… of course, they think I can't succeed on my own." Lincoln thought sadly.
Sunday - 7:10pm
"Lucy Loud: darkness incarnate. For someone whose name means "light" her soul has so much darkness inside. She barely smiles, she's into the macabre, and it seems like there is something more serious going on…. BUT WHO CARES! She can just pop in out of nowhere, her connection to spirits, and her spells make her so cool. Her poetry and penmanship is exceptional. It truly shows what you can do in your free time seeing how independent she is..it's almost like she is invisible. Lucy doesn't need to change because she is already perfect the way she is. You can say that she's not like those other girls."
"Mom, Dad." Lucy called for their attention, to no avail.
"Umm… I have something to show you." Lucy tried to speak, but her parents failed to hear within earshot.
"Hello!" Lucy spoke up as Lynn Sr. and Rita walked right in front of Lucy, not noticing her.
"I need your help." Lucy remarked in an annoyed tone as she popped up out of nowhere in front of her parents.
"Gah!" Lynn Sr. and Rita exclaimed in shock as they catch their breath
"I just wanted to get your opinion on my new poem… it would…" Lucy tried to say.
"Honey, we have to go if we don't leave now we will be late." Rita whispered
"You're right we need to go." Lynn Sr. remarked silently.
"Sigh." Lucy groaned in sadness, seeing her parents leave the basement without saying a word to her.
Sunday - 6:55pm
Next there is the animal enthusiast, mechanic, tomboy who isn't afraid to get dirty. Lana Loud is a twin but she has her own interests that make her stand out from the family. As a mechanic, she is the main reason why her family saves money on house/car maintenance. Nothing like over relying on your 6 year old daughter to do complex work that ADULTS should do. There is no better way to stand out than interacting with wild animals that could have killed her or her family. A snake, a rat, a pig, many frogs, a lizard, an opossum, alligator, fox, monkey, ants, and a turtle ... .what could possibly go wrong? It must be easy to take care of the petting seeing how it requires her to be one with nature. This also explains why she is almost always covered in mud, hardly bathes, eats from the trash, interacts with her animals that may not even be clean, and barely regards any personal hygiene. Young people need to have more self-respect…and those who don't are no better than feral children.
"Okay we need to make sure that our bags are ready." Rita commented in the master bedroom
"We also need to get directions for this organization." Lynn Sr. pointed out.
"I hope we got everything, this invitation was very strict about us arriving in the minivan at 7:15pm." Rita reminded as she heard a strange sound. "Wait, what's that sound?"
"El Diablo, Izzy, Bitey." Lana called out to her pets. "There you are!"
"Lana!" Rita pointed out somewhat amused and exasperated.
"You see I was playing with El Diablo, Hops, Izzy, and Bitey outside and before we knew it we were playing inside, and now they're in your room." Lana explained, covered in dirt.
"That's nice hun, why don't you see if anything around the house needs fixing." Lynn Sr. suggested.
"Okay. Come on guys." Lana called out to her pets as she left, oblivious to what her parents are doing
"That was close." Rita and Lynn Sr. thought as they saw Lana leave the room.
Sunday - 5:15pm
Next there is the manipulative, materialistic, beautiful pageant star who isn't afraid to get what she wants at any cost. Lola Loud is a twin but she has her own interests that make her stand out from the family. Participating in pageants has made Lola very successful, but at least she was able to stay humble about it… just ask her former competition, in fact Lola's name strikes fear into their hearts. At home, Lola truly embodies the values of your average 6 year old girl in America. She is manipulative to her siblings, she is vain, she is untrustworthy, and like her older sisters… very egotistical. At least she fits right into her environment at home and in public. No matter how many times she learns the same lessons again, and again, and again she will keep learning these lessons. This is life, always repeating life lessons until you can't anymore. It makes you wonder if there is an issue with reading and comprehension but who knows; superficiality has never stopped anyone before.
"Mommy, Daddy I am ready for my close up." Lola announced with her makeup and her best dress, a pocket mirror, and her best tiara."
"Lola you look fantastic… but why are you doing all of this?" Lynn Sr. questioned.
"Clearly there must be a mistake, because there is no way you guys wouldn't want to see me as train for my next beauty pageant
"That pageant isn't supposed to happen for another month." Rita mentioned.
"The pageant world requires you to be at the top of our game. The competition can tell if you have what it takes." Lola explained, with her disbelief turning into disappointment and anger. "You forgot, didn't you."
"But dad…you were supposed to watch me!" Lola whined.
"I know sweetie but we have a lot to do right now." Lynn Sr. replied with Rita's eyes darting over to her suitcase.
"Wait a minute, what are you doing?" Lola's anger concentrated into suspicion.
"What do you mean…" Lynn Sr. muttered nervously.
"Why do you have your suitcase with you? You took your nice clothes out of the closet and both of you look nervous." Lola commented, starting to put two and two together.
"Okay!...okay we'll watch you practice." Rita agreed reluctantly.
"Thank you mommy!" Lola praised in a sickeningly sweet manner, forgetting her earlier suspicions.
Sunday - 6:05pm
Now we have Lisa Loud, the genius of the Loud House. Someone who despite her environment has so much potential, yet resents the fact that no child her age can keep up with her. But that's just an excuse to act without any restraint or responsibility in the name of science. Unethical experiments, harmful chemicals all around the house, removing organs in people's sleep, archive of security footage and DNA samples, misusing money from foreign governments, and much more. Who needs emotions and who needs people who are "uneducated", who needs people who do all the things we take for granted. Disregard for humanity + lack of morals x intelligence = sociopathy.
"Parental units." Lisa requested as she saw her parents not doing anything. "I require test subjects for a new invention…seeing how you are not currently busy."
"What do you want us to do?" Rita commented.
"Fear not, what I plan to do is completely safe." Lisa stated as the three of them went into her room. "Behold: the DNA Apparatus."
"This invention allows me to gain valuable information about someone's personality, genetic makeup, and the sociological/genetic origins of these traits." Lisa explained.
"In addition it can allow for your DNA to be fused with an inanimate object." Lisa added. "I am currently working on this part of the device and I need to perfect it."
"All you need to do is to provide a DNA sample, and put it in this cube that contains a chemical concoction." Lisa instructed.
"Once you exchange the DNA from your ptyalin street name saliva. I can place it in a vial where it is chemically analyzed." Lisa explained
"Not to mention a stool sample." Lisa muttered.
"What?" Lynn Sr. questioned, barely hearing what Lisa said about the stool sample.
"Anyway!... that is what you need to do."
"Alright." the parents agreed reluctantly.
"Hmm it seems like fusing DNA with these objects did not work as planned." Lisa remarked as various items showed brief moments of sentience before exploding."
"Here are your DNA analysis results." Lisa commented as she gave her parents two sheets of paper.
"Is this invention going to get out of hand?" Rita questioned.
"No…." Lisa said awkwardly with a sheepish smile.
"Okay." the parents remarked believing Lisa leaving her room.
Sunday - 4:30pm
The baby of the house is known to be innocent and impressionable, and Lily Loud is no exception. However despite being 15 months old, she is regularly exposed to the chaos of the Loud House. Witnessing the fighting, bullying, chaos, disrespect, and all the times where Lily could have gotten hurt must have been very impactful. And to think she could have had a completely normal childhood. If only Lily had a different family.
"There you are sweetie. Are you having fun with your brother and sister?" Rita expressed as she held her baby as she is smiling.
"Who's my little Lilster, you are. That's right you are, yes you are." Lynn Sr. playfully commented as Lily laughed.
"Rita, look at this email." Lynn Sr. mentioned it to his wife. "I don't recognize it anywhere, let's see what it says."
"Okay Lily, mommy and daddy have to look at this email we will be right back." Rita said to Lily as she let her roam around the house.
Through Lily's eyes we see her getting swept around the typical chaos of the Loud House as she embraced all of it. Meanwhile Rita and Lynn Sr. were seen smiling as they read the email further and were in shock and awe about what they saw.
"It seems legit, there is a website for this organization." Rita remarked. "It is called the "Association of Parents with Big Families" or A.P.B.F. (a-peh-beh-ff) for short. The host's name is Jerry Quinn.
"We should go, it would be a great experience for us." Lynn Sr. brought up.
"I don't know it seems so short notice, tomorrow is a school day and this trip is going to take a few days." Rita realized.
"We'll figure it out. Lori can handle things around here for a few days and if we hurry we can get out of the house without any incidents." Lynn Sr. explained
"We can let Lori know and tell her what to do and what to expect." Rita contemplated, smiling.
"There you go! See we can do this!" Lynn Sr. ecstatically replied.
"You're right." Rita agreed.
"We can show these parents who the Loud Family truly are." Lynn Sr. proclaimed.
As the host spoke and showcased various clips, Rita and Lynn. Sr became paralyzed with fear, after seeing the hours before they left the house shown right in front of them.
"Now that we have seen how the Loud parents prepared for their arrival, everything about their family and their kids suddenly makes sense." Jerry remarked in his silver tongued way.
"Maybe if this story gets any reviews, more people can tell their stories about the Loud family." Jerry stated, looking directly at the camera.
"Going forward I will talk about each of your children and how your parenting has affected them, and how your parenting allowed several incidents and horrible behavior to happen over the years."
"No matter what happens, this will be our most outrageous show yet. Stay tuned for more, after the break." Jerry announced.
Once the cameras stopped filming, Lynn Sr. and Rita were forced to go into separate break rooms, as they both reflected on what just happened.
"What just happened…" Rita thought in shock. "Why would our kids act like this? I know they were well behaved before we left, this is just what normally happens around the house. Maybe something happened that I didn't know about? If something happens I should let them figure it out themselves." "I don't know why these people questioned our parenting skills." Rita mentally commented with disdain. "But there is something more going on, but I'm sure it's just a simple explanation."
"How did these people get this footage! Our kids do not act like this, we have spent so much time taking care of our children. We nurtured their talents, provided them with everything they needed, and never picked favorites." Lynn Sr. angrily thought. I'm a fun dad and I was always involved in my kids activities. I want my kid's experience the best parts of having siblings." "I am a good father… no one can tell me otherwise!" Lynn Sr. reaffirmed with hints of insecurity.
The two parents would retreat into their thoughts before they were called back to the next part of the show, little did they knew that what they thought would be a fun trip would be anything but… and it only got worse from here.
A/N: I'm Back! So this fanfic is a long time coming. I have been a fan of the Loud House (as seen by my previous Loud House and Stuck in the Middle crossover). I liked the show for the first few seasons but around season 4 the show became more and more cartoony and nonsensical. Yes I know the Loud House is a cartoon but it was supposed to be a more down to Earth cartoon. Before when we have fantastical elements like robots it is either a one off joke or a dream/fantasy sequence. It is not a part of the real show and the plot doesn't hinge on it. The episode I see where this started was season 3's "The Mad Scientist" The show stopped focusing on the family as much and has them divided into their little friend groups or when they do have the Loud sibling interact it is limited to a few pairs most of the time (keep in mind how the unrealistic scenarios have gotten worse from season 4 onward). Lincoln had this the worst as he hardly had any episodes to himself as he was overshadowed by his sisters and his friend group. I am not saying the show should only do the Lincoln vs sisters plotline but still. The biggest thing I noticed about the show's fanbase is how defensive they can get with Lincoln at the expense of the other sisters (ESPECIALLY Lynn Jr.). And even though I understand this position especially in the first 2 seasons, people like to forget about the Loud parents. Lynn Sr. and Rita Loud are 100% responsible for not correcting the sibling's worst personality traits. They are responsible for letting them get away with outrageous stunts that get worse with every season. They are responsible for ignoring fundamental issues in ALL of their children that could have been fixed. Luan's need for April Fools Day pranks, Lynn Jr.'s ego, Lisa's inhumane experiments, Lori's need for domination over her siblings, Lana's lack of hygiene, Lola's vanity, Lincoln need for manipulation as a means for survival, etc. Frankly I see all 11 kids as victims in the household in one way or another, and while they all have to face accountability for their actions it bothers me that the parents don't get nearly as much flack. I mean they CHOSE to have 11 kids to begin with.
This story would have Lynn Sr. and Rita Loud in this talk show which they talk about their 11 kids individually as they truly see the impact they have on their kids. They realize this organization is not what it seems and how it would force them to confront uncomfortable truths. Difficult questions will be asked as Lynn Sr. and Rita revisit their biggest mistakes as parents... not to mention their pasts and how it influenced them as parents. And at the end of it all, the life as they knew it will change forever. This fic takes place between seasons 3 and 4; the story will showcase flashbacks that happen before the interview and what Lynn Sr. and Rita think individually in the aftermath of each Loud sibling interview for each chapter (alongside each interview).
Anyway I will write another chapter of this soon. Until next time…
P.S.: Happy Fourth of July 2023
