Once upon a time on quite possibly one of the worst planets to live in the whole universe, there was a psycho named Krieg. Krieg wasn't always a psycho, but the thing was, Krieg had no idea who he was prior. He'd managed to scrape together a few bits and pieces, but that was all he'd been able to really find. Making recalling his past especially difficult was the fact that Krieg's psyche was almost literally split in two: the "Sane" half, that which remained of Krieg's sanity following Hyperion's experiments, and tried to steer him in the direction of not murdering anything with the audacity to have a pulse, and the "Psycho" half, the resulting insanity from Hyperion's aforementioned experiments that possessed an insatiable desire to slice, explode, maim, and generally obliterate anything he perceived as a threat, which was most things. Krieg was what is known as a Vault Hunter; essentially a treasure hunter/mercenary/courier/whatever someone needed them to be.

For the past several years, Krieg had been living in the floating city of Sanctuary on the hellish desert planet known as Pandora. Until he found himself warped into Hell itself by a plot devi-er, I mean mysterious "Hellstorm", where he found unlikely friends in Charlie Morningstar, the daughter of Lucifer and Princess of Hell, and Millie & Moxxie, a pair of married imps who worked as part of the small-time assassin organization I.M.P. (Immediate Murder Professionals).

Then a whole bunch of other random shit happened, like Krieg becoming smitten with the succubus pop star Verosika Mayday, fighting Jormungandr the Midgard Serpent, learning that his insanity and unnatural strength are the result of having been blessed by the Norse god Odin, fighting Handsome Jack yet again, but most relevant of all was that around the same time as the Jormungandr incident, Krieg came across a gang called the 3rd Street Saints, whom he believed he had some sort of connection to prior to going insane and losing his memory.

But Krieg learning about his history with the Saints isn't the only thing happening right now. Remember how I mentioned that Charlie was the daughter of Lucifer? Well, he's been learning about the Aesir's involvement with his daughter's Happy Hotel as of recent, and on top of already finding the idea of redeeming demons utterly stupid because he's, y'know, The Devil, but he especially disapproves of Charlie getting involved with any sort of holy forces, regardless of pantheon.

And so once again, worlds collide, bullets will fly, and more than likely, a lotta people are about to die. Will Krieg learn what his deal is with the Saints? Can Charlie surmount her demonic daddy issues? Can the author actually afford to pay me for narrating this crap? Find out in Vault Hunters In Hell Part 2!
