Okay you guys, I know I was on hiatus for a while, but now that I lost my job, I have all the time in the world to start writing again. Will this one be finished? Not sure, but I got the idea after watching one of those murder shows on A&E. I know, I know, a Naruto/Boruto Detective fic has been done before but hey, I'm having fun and that's all that counts right?
This fic will be updated once or twice a week, until I get another job of course.
I apologize for any errors on my part because I don't have a beta for this.
(Dropping off the face of the earth does that to people, right? No more Betas...)
Anyway, this is just an intro. I'm trying to see who all would be into this. I kind of hope more people would be.
I will be adding more tags along the way
It was 23:11 at night in Konoha. Smoke filled the neighbourhood of the Hokage's home. Unfortunately, no one made it in time and all four residents perished in the flames. The police force had the place surrounded, but wasn't going to go in and inspect anything until they got the okay from Fugaku, who was currently thinking he was too old for this shit. Rubbing his face, he looked at Itachi and motioned for him to go in and inspect everything they could.
Itachi was the first to go in. He was going to take over his father's position soon, but this seemed like the last case he would work as a detective. Without another word, he went around the rubble, using his sharingan to be able to see in the dark and through the smoke that was still present. Good thing I inhale smoke for a living, he thought to himself, thinking of how he was apart of A clan that literally blew smoke at people to fight.
The man looked around and noticed a lump in front of him. At first he thought it was dead, but when it tapped it with his foot, it began to move. Adrenaline in his veins, he uncovered the body infront of him to see the daughter of the Hokage, breathing rather harshly. Itachi picked her up and teleported themselves out of the building only to sit her down on the curb, motioning for one of the medics to bring over some oxygen for the little girl. Once she had the mask on and started breathing, Itachi looked to his father.
"I have to see if anyone else survived," He said quietly. Before Fugaku had said anything, Itachi made his way into the building once again, leaving the little girl to stay with his father to be healed.
After thirty minutes of searching, Itachi had concluded that the Hokage, his wife and his son hadn't made it. He then left the building to go back to the only survivor. He kneeled down to be eye to eye with Himawari. He was about to start his questions but Fugaku had shook his head no, thinking it was too soon. It was also noted that Himawari was in shock of it all, and needed to rest. Itachi sighed, but he listened to his father and didn't ask any questions. He wasn't close to the family, but he patted the girl on the shoulder, trying to comfort her the best way he could.
"We'll find out who did this," Itachi promised Himawari as the medic who came to give her oxygen put the girl on a stretcher and began to cart her away to the hospital.
Itachi went back into the home where more of his clansmen had begun to tape off the entrances. It's not like it would do that great of a job because the ceiling had collapsed into the middle of the home, so if anyone really wanted to, they could come in.
He said a little prayer as the bodies were being carted away.
Kudos are a writer's best friend, so if you like it, Please leave a kudo...leave kudos...? I'm not sure what the verbiage is.
Thanks for reading!
