There's no such thing as happily ever after; just time, precious time to spend with your loved ones.
I don't know if that's true, I don't have any loved ones. At least I don't think so. I don't remember anything.
However, if I did have loved ones then I would love to spend time with them. My name? I think it's Scorpius. I think, why would anyone be named that? But it's what I feel is right.
The fresh fall air hits my face as I walk through the woods. I don't know where I'm going but I know what I'm looking for.
Or in this case who. I don't know their name, but they have the most beautiful green eyes in the world. A blush comes upon my face as I walk.
"Where are they?" I ask, sitting down on a fallen tree. My green eyes close for a second before they snap open again.
As I saw fire and heard screaming. That's the second time that's happened. Letting out a sigh, I stood up again. I need to continue walking.
The sun had set two hours ago but I could not stop walking. I needed to find them. 'If they were still alive.' A voice in the back of my empty head said.
I shook my head. They are still alive. They have to be. The leaves around me fell in the chilly air. It was a pretty sight if I were not trying to get someplace. The sound of the leaves under my feet made me smile.
"Will I know their face when I see them?' I asked myself. "Will they know my face when they see me?" I added walking into a clearing.
An old house stood in front of me. Vines and weeds covered the stairs and the swinging bench in the fount.
The roof was almost caving in but for some reason. The walls were charred and covered in black surt and gray dust which flew around in the wind. I didn't know if it was falling apart due to time or a fire. It was very confusing for my empty head. However, I knew this place. Why and how did I know about this place? It will come to me. I know it. So, taking a deep breath I walked to the house.
The inside of the house smelled like old wood and fire. A flash came to my mind as I lay in the bedroom. Or what I thought was the bedroom. It was hard to tell with the fire damage everywhere.
"Scorpius find me, please. Find me," a voice. A sweet voice filled my ears and memories. Who was it?
His voice was calm but sweet and I couldn't help but blush at it. Did I love him? It seemed like he loved me. I need to find him. My eyes closed as I fell asleep there on the charred bed.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" a sweet voice woke me up. I knew that voice from somewhere, but I could not place it. My eyes opened slowly as I sat up.
"Who's there?" I called getting off the bed. The sun had not yet risen and there was so early morning fog outside the damaged window.
"Hello?" The voice called out again walking into the bedroom. Soon, a flashlight beam shined in my face.
I held out my hand over my eyes to block the light before it went away. "Sorry," the owner of the voice said before he turned off the light. I heard a small gasp coming from his mouth and a small smile came on his face.
"Who are you and what are you doing in here?" I asked hoping that he might know me. I didn't know him.
He had black hair and warm green eyes. He was wearing a simple green shirt and black pants. There was a small smile on his face.
"I'm Al," he said, holding out his hand. I took it after a few seconds.
"Scopious. Or at least that's what I think my name is. I don't remember anything other than my name," I told him as we walked out of the bedroom. I needed to tell him the only thing I remember.
Fire and screaming. That's all that echoed in my head. Once my eyes opened my head pounded and the smell of fire came to my nose.
'Who am I? What happened I thought, sitting up.
I was lying in a clearing of trees. Tracks were around me in the mud. It had recently rained. There was a note next to me.
I picked it up hoping that it might shine a light on what was going on, but it didn't. The note only said:
"My name is Scorpius. You must find him. he will help you,"
'My name. My name is Scorpius. That's a weird name but I will go with it.' I stood up and brushed myself off from the leaves and dirt that were on my torn clothes.
Find him? Find who? I should at least find someone to help. I nodded and followed the tracks.
"That was the only thing I remember," He nodded but his eyes were sad. Why were they sad? He looked around him and sighed as if he knew this place.
"Do you remember anything else?" he asked. There was desperation in his voice.
"Flashes of fire and I hear screaming. But there's a voice, a sweet voice telling me to find him. I have to find him. I don't know what he looks like but" I cut off letting out a frustrated sigh.
Al nodded in understanding, but what does he know? He doesn't know what it's like not knowing who you are.
"Find me, please. I love you. When we get out of this, find me. Find me," My eyes snapped open when his voice echoed in my head. It was a memory. Am I remembering things? No, it's too early.
I didn't see the owner of the voice, but the voice was so sweet. Someone loves me?
Al looked at me. There was hope in his eyes. However, I looked away to look around the charred room. The house had been burned, that was obvious, but something drew me here.
What was it? I wish I could remember.
"I keep hearing a voice," I told Al. He nodded with hope still in his eyes. "He keeps saying, find me but– but I don't– I don't even see his face. How can I find someone if I don't know what they look like?" I asked him. My voice is getting louder. He reached over to me and took my hand.
"I can help you find him," he told me, squeezing my hand. I nodded but–
"Where do we start? I don't even–"
"Hey, we can do this, okay," he told me with a small smile. I nodded but something told me that this person, Al, was a loved one and I could trust him. "I can help you. You are closer than you think,"
"Okay, Okay. How can you help me?" I asked. He, however, only smiled at me and squeezed my hand more. I smiled at him and stood up. I watched him before I walked back to the bedroom. However, I heard him whisper someone under his breath before I left the room.
"You can trust me. Please remember. Please, it's not the same without you,"
He was the one I was supposed to find. I don't know yet, but he can help me, and he knows the person. I know I will find them.
'Maybe you already have.' A voice told me as we both stood up and left the house.
