Chapter Five
Evelynn
Of course that insane bastard had sent them to Dwemer Ruins. More fucking puzzles. Evelynn rolled her eyes and swore she was done dealing with enthusiasts. That raving fucking nutter only spoke in riddles and rhymes. Evelynn guessed that living on that frozen island in the middle of fucking nowhere had clearly killed some important parts of his brain. Serana was actually a great help with figuring this shite out, and they'd made it through the glacial ruins, but now her patience was being tested around all the metal clanging and tinkering. Evelynn found Seranas' intellect incredibly attractive and it was difficult to add anything productive. Granted, these ruins offered a good bit of Dwarven scrap metal, looted from the mechanical spiders and such that were guarding this place.
Creeping across ledges was second nature to Evelynn, but she got the impression that Serana was less used to it. One of the Dwemer piston traps pushed her foot off the ledge and Evelynn had to catch her to keep her from falling.
"Watch it– easy. These places love to kill you any chance they get. Don't make me worry about you around all the fire." She brushed Seranas' hair back from her face.
Serana gave her a sarcastic scowl, but a hint of nervousness showed through.
Evelynn smiled softly at her. "Just stay close to me, we're going slow. And these damn places are never small." She made a face.
The neverending maze seemed even more daunting to Evelynn with Serana with her. She was suddenly very aware of just how dangerous these places were. She almost wished she'd left Serana somewhere safer for this one.
Down. Of course it was down. Evelynn enjoyed looting caves, but this was pushing it. She was way too far from the sky. She tried to focus on the small joys of the small fortune she'd make raiding this place. There were chests stashed everywhere and Evelynns' lockpicking skills were just as excellent as ever.
Click. Evelynn grinned at the sound.
Serana
"Is this how you make all that money that you throw around?" Serana remembered watching Evelynn gouge the jeweled eyes from the gargoyles in her crypt.
Evelynn turned from the chest with a confused expression on her face. "Yeah."
Serana smiled and shook her head at this crazy wolf. Here they were, on a mission to save the world, and yet Evelynn looked like a child collecting every shiny thing she could fit into her satchel. Serana wondered just how many dungeons Evelynn had raided to make her fortune.
"Well. I've been paid to do jobs also. But, what am I going to do, leave it all here? And this stuff," she pulled out a brassy piece of metal… trash. "This is some of the best metal you can find. There aren't any mines for it, and the demand is high." She finished loading her satchel and stood.
"So you sell… junk?"
Evelynn snorted a laugh. "Of course not. I craft things. Dwarven metal weapons and armor are especially strong. Then I enchant them with magickal properties."
Serana had images in her head of Evelynn sweating over her forge with that furrowed brow of concentration and unconsciously licked her lips.
"And then I sell the junk." Evelynns' grin was adorable.
"You've had a very productive life in Skyrim."
Evelynn shrugged, then sighed. "C'mon. We're going down."
Evelynn
Of course it's down. All the fucking way down. Everything looked the same on every level, and the metal creatures were a right pain in the arse. The chests continued to be abundant everywhere though, it seemed. And full of good loot. But, gods, Evelynn loathed being so far from the sky.
Ah. There it was. The stench of Falmer wafted up from the newest spiral walkway. Disgusting, devolved elven type creatures. They mostly lived underground and were effectively blind, but their hearing was impeccable. The scent mingled in the air with the already present dust and copper and mold and made Evelynns' stomach churn. Falmer ears made some decent potions though. She wondered how Serana might react to those taking her trophies from these creatures…
They were easy enough to take down, if you caught them by surprise. If you gave away your position though, they had a tendency to swarm and were very unpredictable. But they had a penchant for collecting shiny things, which Evelynn took full advantage of after clearing the camps. Loads of alchemy supplies, too.
Entering more of the ruins, the Falmer camps had made their way inside, clogging up the floor space. Evelynn took out two of them from the shadows and creeped forward, Serana staying close behind her. A loud rush of air, followed by a sharp scream sent an icy chill down her spine. She whipped around to find Serana caught in a timed fire trap.
She snatched Serana out of the flames and immediately dragged a bolt along her wrist, pushing the bloody mess against Seranas' anguished mouth. The gruesome burns on the side of her face began to soften instantly, disappearing within minutes.
"By the Nines… are you alright?" Evelynn took Seranas' face into her hands, inspecting for damage.
"I'm… alright. Thank you." Serana winced, but smiled, taking Evelynns' still bleeding arm and attempting to heal it.
Evelynn waved her off, and pulled a small red bottle out of her satchel, downing the disgusting potion. Her arm spiked in pain, then quickly numbed and tingled as it healed shut.
"See? All better."
Serana stared softly at the remnants of red dripping towards her elbow.
"... Go on…"
Serana opened her mouth, seemingly to argue, but moved slowly and gracefully to run her tongue along Evelynns' arm, cleaning up the mess. Evelynns' heart slammed in her chest so hard that it drowned out every other sound.
Serana suddenly clamped her eyes shut tight and pushed Evelynn gently backward, trembling.
"Evelynn…"
"I know. I'm sorry." Evelynn closed her own eyes and took some deep, slow breaths.
"We have to focus."
"I know."
Why was this so difficult?
Serana
Serana was beginning to question if she should've even come down here with the Dovahkiin. She seemed to only be a liability and a distraction. She was sure Evelynn could've finished this particular quest much faster had she not tagged along. The tension following them further down into this mountain was almost electric.
However, Serana couldn't deny the sheer astonishing beauty of Blackreach. After Evelynn had found their way through the ruins, and out the other side, they were greeted by an enormous cavern, midnight black, but lit up by thousands of glowing organisms. Looking like pale blue stars igniting a night sky, Seranas' breath caught in her throat. Serana was curious how the Mad Man had marked Evelynns' map to guide her through this… prehistoric chaos.
She seemed to have no issues navigating, however. Serana couldn't tell if Evelynn was following a map, or her own heart, as she trudged through the illuminated blackness. She'd abandoned her general stealthy sneaking habits, and almost ran through the abyss, looking up as often as she could at the incredible wonders around them. Serana used to envy that about the Imperial, but now seemed easier in joining her in such spontaneous appreciation and… joy. The problem was that Evelynn appeared to be so absorbed in her exploration, that she was completely oblivious to the dangers down here. She somehow ran her body directly into one of the Falmer creatures, instantly angering it and alerting two others of their altercation. After the two women dispatched their enemies, Serana caught Evelynns' wrist and pulled her close.
"You need to be more careful, Evelynn."
"I know… I'm sorry." The Imperial hung her head, like a scolded child.
Serana gently lifted her chin, looking into her soft, pale eyes. "Come on, Love. Let's get this over with."
Evelynn
Blackreach was… something. Evelynn usually hated being so far from the sky. But down here, deep in the mountain, the smell of earth and the cleanest water seemed to soothe her unease. And otherworldly bright colors smeared and scattered among the pitch black… it felt peaceful. So peaceful that Evelynn seemed to forget that it was still, in fact, Skyrim, where everything wanted to kill you.
She'd already embarrassed herself in front of Serana, failing to be aware of dangers, but at least she knew they were heading in the right direction. A tall tower stood at the end of the path they were on, a large brassy door on the front. More Dwemer. The rumbling of the ground beneath her feet told her something big was coming. Fast.
Evelynn ducked and turned to see the massive Centurion headed towards them. How had she missed that? Giant Dwarven metal creatures, powered by Dynamo Cores and Grand Soul Gems. If you were lucky, the soul gem survived and you could harvest them.
Evelynn reached for her fire enchanted crossbow, these bastards were big but they were still weak to flames. Serana was already throwing… ice at it. Evelynn rolled her eyes and fired a bolt directly at its core, staggering it, giving herself time to reload. One more bolt to the core and it collapsed. Evelynn grinned at Serana and ran to the metal beast.
The Centurion was still hot to the touch and Evelynn burned her hand trying to pry open the chest cavity. The bastard went down so quickly because the Dwarven oil had actually caught fire, which was lucky, but it burned hot and rendered the oil absolutely fucking useless. But the soul gem was still intact, thank the Nine. And there were even a few jewels and a decent sized strut to scavenge. The cores looked complicated and valuable, but honestly what would anyone other than Sorine use them for? They weren't worth their weight to carry.
Serana reached for her, casually shaking her head, and healed the burn on her hand. She was definitely getting better. The burn almost completely healed. Evelynn smiled at her warmly.
"Come on, Love. That's Mzark Tower just there."
Serana
"Son of a bitch!"
Serana turned to see Evelynn, absolutely throwing what could only be called a tantrum. "What? What's wrong?"
"Fucking puzzles!" Evelynn ran her hands up her face and through her hair.
Serana laughed. "Come on, Love. It's not so complicated. You see this diagram here? We just need to read it, and these buttons have to operate those lenses up there." The tower was absurdly intricate considering the prehistoric darkness they'd found it in. Spiraling ramps and bronze metal, and, yes, more puzzles.
"You can't even access half of the fucking buttons!" Evelynn punched the metal casing covering the luminous blue.
Serana rolled her eyes. "Let's figure it out together, shall we? Preferably without breaking bones. Do you still have that cube?"
Evelynn let out a growl of frustration and shuffled in her bag for the ancient dwarven cube that the Mad Man had given them. She really hated this kind of thing. Well, now Serana had the opportunity to contribute. Serana had Evelynn place the cube on the pedestal to the right. She kissed Evelynns' cheek and set to work, finding combinations in the right two buttons, causing the giant lenses in the ceiling to twist and turn, casting different shadows on the floor.
Clink!
One of the left buttons uncovered itself. Serana glanced at Evelynn, who was staring at Serana, mouth open. Serana blushed and went back to work. When the final button was accessible, and calculations made, Serana straightened up.
"Would you like to do the honors?" She gestured to the last button.
Evelynn just sort of stood there, frozen, and staring.
"Okay…" Serana cautiously pushed the final button, sending the lenses whirling once again, only this time, there was more.
The floor in the center shifted and a large, brassy pod appeared before splitting open. Inside the strange chest, there it was. An Elder Scroll. Serana grinned at Evelynn. Evelynn just sort of… charged at Serana. Softly calloused hands gripped her face as Evelynn pressed her lips to hers.
Oh…
Serana kissed her back, placing her hands gently on the Imperials waist. Evelynns' hands wandered as her mouth grew more insistent, inhaling shakily. She pressed further, tracing Seranas' lips with her tongue as she backed the Vampire against the control panel. Fuck…
"Evelynn…" Serana breathed when Evelynn moved her oral assault down to her throat, nipping at the leather collar. "Evelynn, stop." It was too much. Serana fangs felt like fire in her mouth. The blood pounding in her ears whispered horrors about the Imperial that was so freely pursuing intimacy with Darkness.
Evelynn pushed her hands against Seranas' shoulders, holding herself back, it seemed. "I'm sorry…" Evelynn shut her eyes tight, her energy seemed to be vibrating. She needed… something.
Seranas' black heart ached.
"Just… don't move." Serana struggled against her Daedric hold and pushed Evelynn into the control panel, looking out across the main floor. She placed Evelynns' hands on the brass, holding them firm. "Don't… move…"
Evelynn didn't speak, or move, but the sudden spike in her heart rate confirmed she'd heard. Serana pressed herself against Evelynns' back, trailing her nose up Evelynns' delectable neck. Inhaling that scent.
Just a taste…
Serana licked lightly against the flesh, cradling Evelynns' shiver against her soul. Her fangs broke the skin so easily, the Imperial was becoming alarmingly attuned to this. The blood…
Oh, the blood…
Serana gripped Evelynns' throat and drank. The moans that echoed through the tower could've come from either of them, Serana couldn't tell. Evelynns' absolute carnal need filled Seranas' mouth and soul so suddenly that Serana hadn't even noticed her other hand reaching…
Evelynns' wetness on her fingertips spurred her into feeding wildly. Serana bit down hard, drinking deeply, and pressed into Evelynn, crushing her into the metal controls. Hand in her armor, toying with her clit, she heard Evelynns' breathing stop under her grip and she still couldn't seem to stop. The dark whispers building in her ears as she devoured her favorite soul, unrestrained. Her fingers delved in further, stretching those delicious walls.
Mine.
Suddenly the feral scream that tore from Evelynns' strangled throat echoed through the tower. Serana felt like her entire body had been electrocuted. She immediately released her hands and fangs from the Imperial, instead wrapping her arms around Evelynns' waist and burying her face in her shoulder. She held Evelynn as her orgasm ricocheted through her, her hands never moving from the control panel. Serana… cried. For herself. For Evelynns' unyielding trust in her. She silently asked for… forgiveness.
Evelynn
"Are you okay?
Serana blinked up at her. "Yes, I'm fine."
It felt… off. The vampire seemed more closed off than she usually did. She didn't seem to look at Evelynn, but more… through her. "Are you sure?"
Serana sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Yeah, it's… complicated. But I'm fine. Are you okay?"
Evelynn immediately blushed, aware of the bruising around her throat, and the still aching holes in her neck. She'd refused to let Serana heal them, but Serana seemed to accept the refusal more easily this time. Evelynn squirmed and stood a little straighter. "Yes."
Serana still seemed uneasy. Evelynn reached out and took her hand, squeezing gently. Serana gave her a weak smile, but color flared in her ears. Evelynn noticed a smear of blood across the vampire's cheek. When she reached for Seranas' face, the Nord went visibly rigid, backing away slightly.
"Serana, stop."
Seranas' eyebrows creased and a wave of emotion flashed through the eyes that still refused to meet hers. The elevator they'd found seemed to take forever in the tense silence. Evelynn decided to force her way through the tension, tired of tiptoeing around this. She closed in the space between them, ignoring the sharp cut in her soul as Serana backed against the wall. She pressed her body against the vampire, firmly raising her chin. This woman should never look down.
"Serana. Serana, look at me."
The vampire exhaled shakily, and slowly opened her eyes. Evelynn could really see it then. The pain and… guilt burning into her. She opened her mouth to say something, tears filling those crimson eyes. Evelynn pressed her fingertips to the Nords lips, silencing her.
"I know. But… I need you to understand. I am not that fragile. You can't hurt me. I know you don't trust yourself, but I need you to trust me."
Evelynn knew what she must look like. Bruised and bloody around the neck made people uncomfortable. But she'd definitely had worse. Serana had seen her worse, and she'd cared for Evelynn so tenderly. Evelynn knew the difference between feeling like you were approaching death, and actually approaching death. Serana had not once put her in any true danger. And the superficial danger she'd put her in while making love to her… by the Nine, Evelynn refused to give that up. It brought her to the brink, the peak, the edge of life, and pushed her over.
Evelynn pulled Serana into her arms, cradling her close, while the vampire trembled. Serana gave in, wrapping her arms tightly around Evelynns' waist. Evelynn pressed a soft kiss to the vampires' neck, smiling when the vampire squeezed tighter around her. She gently kissed her way up Seranas' neck. Her lips brushed against a cool, thick wetness on Seranas' cheek and she froze. The scent of her own blood filled her. Evelynn ran her tongue over the scent, licking away her own blood from that angelic face.
Serana froze.
Before Serana could get too wrapped up in her own mind, Evelynn smiled deviously and rushed in to kiss the vampire. She was filled with the memory of that first kiss, with the taste of her blood shared between the two of them. Serana gripped her leather armor, crushing her body hard into her as she whimpered. The Intensity compelled Evelynn further, fiddling with the skirt of Seranas' armor.
Take her…
Evelynn didn't even question the barely intelligible thought in her head as she slipped her hand in, pressing against Seranas' damp curls.
"Don't…" Serana whispered against her lips.
Evelynn froze. Of course. This wasn't allowed.
But when Evelynn attempted to withdraw her hand, Serana gripped her wrist in an iron vice hold.
"No… don't… don't stop…"
Fuck!
Evelynn grabbed the steel bars of the elevator wall and pushed hard, stretching Serana with her fingers as her palm pressed against her clit. Serana cried out and she hooked one leg over Evelynns' hip. The chill that fell over them told Evelynn they were nearing the top. Evelynn bit into the soft flesh of Seranas' neck, knowing it wasn't the same without fangs, but she couldn't help it.
"Harder…" Serana moaned, fisting her fingers into Evelynns' hair and rocking her hips.
Evelynn sucked hard and pushed another finger inside Serana. Serana hissed and dug her fingernails into Evelynns' shoulder.
Fuck…
She looked at Seranas' face, eyes clenched shut, baring her teeth, a soft vein running up her neck. Along her lower lip was a series of bloody dots. She'd… bitten her own lip. Evelynn eagerly leaned in to taste.
By the Nine…
She pulled hard, sucking that unbelievable taste into her mouth, down her throat. Drinking from Serana while pleasuring her. Her head spun.
"I'm coming…" Seranas' voice cracked in desperation against her mouth.
A new taste in Seranas' blood assaulted Evelynns' tongue and she screamed in shared ecstasy.
Fuck. Fuck fuck fuckkkkkkk!
It was all Evelynn could do to grab the bars with both hands and hold herself up.
Serana wrapped around Evelynn and buried her face into her neck, shaking. She was… she was crying?
"I love you." Evelynn whispered.
Serana
They hadn't discussed the elevator incident in two days. Serana had made it clear that it would not happen again. She knew it had to have wounded Evelynn, but the Imperial took it surprisingly well. She simply smiled, touched her forehead to Seranas', and thanked her. Serana wanted to scoff at the memory. The only time Serana had been able to handle letting Evelynn touch her had been when she was overwhelmed with self loathing at what she'd done. Evelynn deserved better than that. She had no business thanking her.
I love you.
The words had replayed so softly in her memory often since then. It seemed to command her attention when she was starting to get herself worked up again, extinguishing her building anger.
Evelynn loved her. Of course Serana knew that. She often wished Evelynn didn't, but it did something to Serana that she did. And to hear those words when she was so filled with conflicting emotions… Serana had never felt so lost. And found. And vulnerable. And safe…
Tears threatened her eyes again and Serana forced herself to think about the task at hand: crossing the fucking half frozen river again, back to the Mad Man. There was almost a bridge made of glaciers, but the salty wind bit at every inch of Seranas' exposed skin. Evelynn looked infuriatingly unbothered as she gracefully hopped from one slab of ice to the next. Serana was glaring at her back when her boot slipped on slush and her day got a lot worse.
Even the splash sounded slushy.
"Fuckssake!"
The brackish hell water felt like a thousand needles, jabbing into every sensitive part of Seranas' flesh. She put her hands on the edge of the glacier and cursed her usually favored material. Fuck ice. And fuck ice water. Serana was sure the fact that it was midday was not helping her sour mood. She couldn't seem to stop slipping, she spat a mouthful of water out with another curse.
Strong hands dragged her up by her armor, and she was suddenly standing in Evelynns' arms, shivering violently.
"Try to be more careful, yeah?" The Imperial was most definitely laughing at her.
"F-f-f-fuck… y-you…" but she couldn't not lean into that incredible warmth.
Evelynn barked a laugh and shuffled around in her satchel. "Here. Drink this."
Serana glared at the purplish bottle questioningly, then let Evelynn tip it back for her to drink. It was awful filth, and only made Serana crankier.
"Evelynn, what the fuck?"
Evelynn laughed again and deposited the empty bottle back in her satchel. "It'll help with your magick, since it's daytime. Go on then. Apply some heat, mage."
Serana scowled and flared a blast of fire, admittedly too extravagant, right at their feet. Hopefully scorching the smug Wolf just a little bit.
Evelynn jerked back, shielding her face. "Hey, if you singe my hair off, you're the one who has to look at me. You can't just heal that."
Well, her armor was definitely drier, though still damp. She'd have to ask Evelyn to help repair any damages. And her mood did lift slightly at the smell of smoky forest. Her fangs tingled and Serana sighed. "Let's just get this over with."
"Yes, M'Lady." Evelynn wore that wolfy grin again as she scooped Serana up like a bride and turned on her heel. "WUST-NAH!"
Serana couldn't remember the last time she felt nauseous.
Evelynn had cleared the remainder of the distance in an instant, leaving Seranas' stomach behind them. They were now directly in front of the door to Septimus Signus' hermit hideout. Serana fell into the snow on her hand and knees, wobbling in a sickening way.
"What… was that…?" She couldn't even sound as angry as she wanted to.
"Ah… right. Sorry. I forget how uncomfortable that is when you're not used to it. Here."
Evelynn picked up a handful of snow and pressed it to Seranas' forehead. Cheeks. Around her neck.
"Better?" She asked, sounding embarrassed.
Serana nodded. "A little."
She wouldn't actually vomit, she couldn't. At least, she didn't think so…
Evelynn pressed her wrist to Seranas' mouth. Her fangs sent electric waves of excitement up through her eyes. She twisted her head away quickly.
"Evelynn!"
She hadn't drank from her since that fucking tower. She hadn't drank from anyone.
"Serana, I know you haven't fed. This is my fault. Let me help you. Please."
Exhaustion and misery warred inside Serana. She could handle those things well enough on her own, thank you. But with blood so freely offered, her fangs ached persistently.
"I can see it in your eyes. It's okay, really. Please."
Serana exhaled very slowly, calming herself. Resigned, she took Evelynns' wrist, and bit. By the Blood, she wished Evelynn didn't taste so fucking good. The unease in her head and stomach instantly settled. Evelynn took a very deep, slow breath. She seemed determined to keep this… casual. Strictly for practical purposes. If only that were actually possible. But, bless her for not making this harder. Serana released Evelynns' wrist and licked her lips, looking away.
"Better?" Evelynn sounded genuinely concerned. It was impossible to be angry at her.
"Yes."
Evelynn held out her hand. "Should we…?"
Serana sighed and took her hand, letting the Imperial pull her out of the snow.
The crazy hermits' cave was slightly warmer, and out of direct sunlight. But the walls were made of ice, and did nothing to dim the light. She wished they hadn't had to come back here. They already had the damn scroll. But Evelynn was honorable, and had promised to return his precious transcribed lexicon. Still, Serana didn't feel quite right about this.
Septimus seemed completely oblivious to the fact that anyone was in his… home. Evelynn walked directly in front of him and he was still muttering nonsense. "I've inscribed the lexicon." She shuffled around in her satchel and procured the cube.
"Give it, quickly." Oh, sure, now he was awake. "Extraordinary. I see it now. The sealing structure interlocks in the tiniest fractals. Dwemer blood can loose the hooks, but none alive remain to bear it. A panoply of their brethren could gather to form a facsimile. A trick. Something they didn't anticipate, no, not even them. The blood of Altmer, Bosmer, Dunmer, Falmer, and Orsimer. The elves still living provide the key. Bear you hence this extractor. It will drink the fresh blood of elves. Come when its set is complete." He shoved a brassy hunk of metal into her hands. More errands? Serana bristled. This was her precious time with the Dragonborn. Evelynns' dance card was beyond full.
"Why are you so eager to open the box?"
"The box contains the heart. The essence of a god. I have devoted my life to the Elder Scrolls, but their knowledge is a passing awareness when compared to the encompassing mind of divinity. The Dwemer were the last to touch it. It was thought to have been destroyed by the Nerevarine, but my lord told me otherwise."
"Who is your lord?" Evelynns' curiosity was putting Serana uncomfortably on edge.
"The Daedric prince of the unknown. Hermaeus Mora." Shit… Hircine was not going to like this. Even Seranas' own Lord wouldn't take kindly to her even being here. "I thought there were no secrets left to know. Until I first spoke to him. He asks a price -- to work his will. A few murders, some dissent spread, a plague or two. For the secrets I can endure. In time, he brought me here. To the box. But he won't reveal how to open it. Maddening."
Serana reached forward and grabbed Evelynns' arm, dragging her toward the exit. "We have to go. Now. We can't get mixed up with this, Evelynn."
"Mixed up with what? Relax."
"You don't understand. We're bound to our own Daedric Princes. They're not going to handle competition well."
Evelynn snorted. "First off; I'm not bound to any Prince." Serana wasn't entirely sure why her face felt warmer at Evelynns' choice of words. "Secondly, I don't have any desire to get 'mixed up' with any more Daedra. It was just a conversation."
They'd just made it to the door and Serana stopped in her tracks.
"Come closer. Bask in my presence."
Evelynn
"Who are you?" Evelynn didn't like any part of this. The voice was deep and musical, almost soothing had it not been dripping with a cold, unfeeling malice that had her fur pricking the back of her neck. The entire exit tunnel was filled with a horrendous mass of green and black. Tentacles and eyes assaulted her vision, and the smell of dust and decay made her eyes water.
"I am Hermaeus Mora. I am the guardian of the unseen, and knower of the unknown. I have been watching you, mortal. Most impressive."
"What do you want of me?" She couldn't help getting it through her teeth.
"Your continuing aid to Septimus renders him increasingly obsolete. He has served me well, but his time is nearing its end. Once that infernal lockbox is opened, he will have exhausted his usefulness to me. When that time comes, you shall take his place as my emissary. What say you?"
"I'll never join you, vile demon!" Evelynn fired her crossbow at the mass of Daedric monster.
The creature only laughed as it began to dissipate. "Be warned. Many have thought as you do. I have broken them all. You shall not evade me forever."
Once the tunnel was clear, Evelynn needed the sun. Needed the sky. She dragged Serana up the ladder and out into the cold.
"I can't believe you just insulted a Daedric Prince, Evelynn." Serana was looking around, wide eyed.
Evelynn shrugged. "Fuck 'em. I'm busy."
Serana cocked her head to the side. "That's… kind of hot."
Evelynn felt a spark in her core, but she tried to ignore it. Instead, she rolled her eyes. "Come on. Let's go look for your mother. Do you want to power on, or do you want to stop at the Frozen Hearth for a rest?"
"Take me to the Inn, Evelynn. Now."
Evelynn could no longer ignore the tug at her libido. Serana was in need. She smiled, slow and deliberate.
"Yes, M'Lady."
