"Addie, we have to go," Mia tugged on her best friend's shirt, her voice trembling with urgency.

"They're dead, Mia. We're alone," Adhara whispered with a broken voice, her gaze fixed on the lifeless bodies of their mothers on the nursery floor.

"But the evil man is dead now," Mia said somberly. "We have to find Teddy and leave before the men in the suits come."

Adhara nodded, her eyes filled with grief, and she looked at her little brother, who watched her with teary eyes. Even though he couldn't fully understand what had happened, Draco knew something terrible had occurred.

"Mommy no wake?" Draco's small voice quivered as he gazed at his mother and aunt, their lifeless bodies lying before him.

"I'm so sorry, Dray," Adhara said, tears welling up in her eyes as she hugged her little brother.

Harry approached his best friend, who was quietly sobbing, and he embraced him, sharing his pain. He, too, had lost his mother at the hands of the wicked man.

"Guys, come this way, be careful," Mia instructed, her young voice taking on a surprisingly mature tone as she led the way.

Despite being too young to perform magic, Mia and Adhara had already displayed their first outbursts of magic. Their parents had taught them basic spells in case they needed help and weren't there to assist them. As the daughters of two of the oldest pureblood families, certain rules were overlooked by the Ministry.

Very cautiously, Mia picked up Harry, and Adhara took Draco into her arms. They surrounded their mothers' lifeless bodies as they descended the staircase to the living room of Godric's Hollow. At the foot of the stairs, they came across James's body, his wand clutched in his hand. Adhara, gently setting Draco on the floor, placed a comforting hand on her best friend's shoulder while Mia stared blankly at her father's body.

"We have to go," Mia whispered, her voice trembling, as she slowly approached the fireplace.

Gathering some Floo powder that lay scattered on the floor, Mia, Adhara, Draco, and Harry stood inside the fireplace. With a trembling voice, Mia shouted, "Potter Manor!"

Arriving at Potter Manor, Mia and Adhara immediately sprang into action. Leaving Harry and Draco to play on the living room floor, Mia rushed to her room to prepare two backpacks: one with her belongings and another with Adhara's essentials. Adhara did the same for Harry and Draco, packing their necessities.

Suddenly, the distinctive sounds of Apparition reached their ears from outside the mansion. Mia and Adhara exchanged a worried glance and, grabbing their little brothers, rushed back to the fireplace, shouting, "Nott Manor!"

Emerging from the fireplace at Nott Manor, Mia and Adhara stumbled slightly, still not quite accustomed to traveling by Floo. Harry and Draco, the youngest of their group, coughed up some ash, looking bewildered but unharmed.

"Teddy!" Adhara called out urgently, her eyes wide with fear. "Teddy, we need your help!"

After a few minutes, they heard hurried footsteps descending the stairs, and the lights in the living room were turned on. Their best friend greeted them with a sleepy yet concerned expression, rubbing his eyes to wake up.

"What happened?" Their best friend asked, seeing the distraught state of his best friends and their little brothers.

"Teddy, they're all dead," Mia whispered, her voice breaking, "everyone. We're alone."

"I'm so sorry," He said, hugging both girls. "I suppose you're all hungry. In the kitchen, there's fruit or whatever you'd like to eat."

Mia and Adhara managed a small smile, and with their little brothers in tow, they made their way to the kitchen. They prepared glasses of milk and cookies with the assistance of Theo's personal elf.

Theodore Nott, known as Teddy, was Mia and Adhara's best friend. They had met him one afternoon when Lucius Malfoy had brought an abused, blue-eyed, black-haired boy to play with them in the garden of Malfoy Manor. Lucius had left the boy with them, asking them to be kind and play together. From that day onward, Theo became an integral part of their peculiar, extended yet functional Potter-Malfoy-Black family. Following the death of Thoros Nott, Theo's father, he had become the head of House Nott. Hence, social services could not take him away, at least according to magical law.

"We need to disappear, Teddy," Mia said with a determined voice. "If social services find us, they'll want to separate us, and I won't allow that. Harry and Draco are only a year old. Who knows where they'll end up, and in whose homes? I won't allow it."

"But Mia, we're only four years old. We can't do much either," Adhara pointed out.

"We can leave London," Theo suggested. "Then, we can figure out what to do. But we need to get away before they find us, I need to give you something."

Theo left the kitchen and soon returned with a backpack and four bracelets, he gave them to Mia and Adhara to wear and meanwhile, Theo put them on Harry and Draco's wrists.

"What are they?" Mia asked, looking at the bracelet carefully.

"These bracelets are what will allow us to travel and practice magic without the Ministry being able to detect or track us, they will be able to see us but the magic of the bracelet prevents them from identifying us despite knowing who we are", Theo explained triumphantly.

"The Aurors will be looking for us," Adhara added solemnly. "Especially for Mia and Hazz. Uncle Prongs was the Head of the Aurors, and now he's... he's dead."

"So, we'll go to New York," Mia said with unwavering determination. "It's impossible for them to find us there."

Theo chimed in, "We can look for Magnus Bane, since you suggested New York. I've seen his name in my mother's diaries, and I think he might be able to help."

"And who the hell is Magnus Bane?" Adhara inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"Watch your language," Mia gently chided her best friend, giving her a meaningful look while glancing at Harry and Draco, who were playing nearby.

Adhara stuck out her tongue at Mia, and Theo explained, "I'm not entirely sure who Magnus Bane is, but I've seen his name mentioned repeatedly in my mother's diaries. If she thought he was important, he might be able to help us."

"Do you think he can help us?" Mia asked, her expression a mix of hope and uncertainty.

"We don't have anything to lose by trying," Theo replied with a shrug. "But we need to get there first."

"So, New York?" Adhara asked with a small smile, embracing the idea of a fresh start.

"New York," Mia and Theo nodded in agreement.

"JAMES! JAMES!" a hoarse, anguished cry echoed through the air.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Black, but this is a crime scene. You can't get any closer," an Auror insisted.

"I'm Sirius Black, my best friend is James Potter, head of the Department, your boss. Let me in, or I swear—," Sirius raged.

"What's happening here?" Kingsley Shacklebolt's voice cut through the tension.

"Kings, nice to see you. Tell this incompetent Auror to let me pass," Sirius spat, his eyes filled with anger.

Kingsley nodded, and the Auror reluctantly stepped aside, allowing Sirius to pass. The press outside continued to photograph the surroundings of the Potter house in Godric's Hollow.

Sirius rushed into the house, his heart pounding with dread. When he saw James's lifeless body, he collapsed next to his best friend's corpse and hugged him tightly, sobbing and screaming in grief.

"I'm so sorry for the loss of your whole family," Kingsley said, sympathy in his eyes.

"What... what do you mean, my whole family? Who else has died?" Sirius asked hoarsely, his voice thick with dread.

"We found your brother and Lucius in the Riddle mansion among the bodies of multiple Death Eaters. Cissy and Lily's bodies are in Harry's nursery," Kingsley said softly. "Sirius, you don't know how sorry I am."

"This is all Dumbledore's fault," Sirius hissed. "If he hadn't sent Peter to Voldemort's ranks and Remus to find allies among the werewolves, we could have... I could have prevented this massacre."

"Sirius, it's not your fault," Kingsley said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Please, don't blame yourself for this. Neither James nor Lily would have wanted that."

"Mia, Harry, where are they?" Sirius asked suddenly, jumping to his feet and racing toward his niece's room.

Not finding Mia or Harry in the room, he continued the search, his heart pounding with anxiety. The heart-wrenching reality was sinking in, and the loss felt unbearable. . Sirius returned to Harry's nursery, the two lifeless figures of Narcissa and Lily lay on the floor, and a profound sense of despair washed over him. Sirius collapsed for the second time, sliding down the wall to the floor, his entire body shaking with uncontrollable sobs.

"I'm here," Remus whispered as he knelt beside his husband. "I've got you."

"Moons, they're dead. Cissy, Lily, Lucius, Reggie, Wormy, Prongs. They're all dead," Sirius cried out, his voice choked with grief, his teary eyes searching for solace in Remus's embrace.

Remus didn't say anything but held Sirius tightly. He understood that, deep down, Sirius felt responsible for the deaths of their friends. Remus cursed himself for not having insisted more on preventing Sirius from joining him. Perhaps if they had stayed together, the outcome might have been different.

"It's not your fault, either, Moons," Sirius said, looking into Remus's eyes. "Everything for our Moony, remember?"

"Then don't blame yourself either, okay?" Remus said, offering a small smile. "Where's Mia? Where's Harry?"

"That's what I wanted to tell you. They're not dead, but we didn't find them, Addie or Draco. We don't know where they are," Kingsley explained.

"How the fuck do you not know where they are?" Sirius hissed, his frustration boiling over as he grabbed Kingsley and slammed him against the wall.

"Sirius, please calm down," Remus pleaded, deeply concerned about his husband's erratic behavior.

"Sirius, I'm telling you the truth. We lost track of them at Potter Manor," Kingsley said, raising his hands in surrender.

Relinquishing his grip on Kingsley, Sirius cleared his throat and spoke, "I'm sorry, Kings."

"I understand you're going through a hard time, but we need your help. We've found evidence related to your plan to defeat Voldemort, and we'll clear your names," Kingsley said.

"My family has died. My entire family is dead. They did more than anyone else, sacrificed their lives to defeat Voldemort, and you dare to tell me that 'you have to clear our names'? Fuck you, Kingsley. The Ministry will receive a complaint from me on behalf of the Malfoy, Black, and Potter families." Stating that Sirius apparated away from Godric's Hollow

Kingsley and Remus exchanged glances, their silence thick with tension, until Remus finally broke the silence.

"After all those years at school, it's incredible that you'd even entertain the thought that any of us—Sirius, Peter, or I—would ally with Voldemort," Remus said, his voice calm and collected.

"Remus, you have to understand. Dumbledore—"

"Fucking Dumbledore is to blame for all this," Remus erupted. "Dumbledore is responsible for Pete's death. Dumbledore is responsible for Sirius and me not being here to protect James and Lily. As Sirius said, the Ministry will receive a complaint from us. If I could, I'd file a complaint against the entire magical world because two families have died, and you've had the audacity to blame them for their own deaths." With that, Remus left in search of Sirius, hoping to provide comfort and support during this darkest of hours.

Meanwhile, Mia, Theo, Adhara, Harry, and Draco had managed to reach New York through a secret Floo network known to very few. Theo's mother had dedicated her life to studying the most hidden aspects of the magical world, and her latest discovery had been that there was a Floo network connecting most of the world, making international Portkeys unnecessary.

This was a blessing for them since, as minors actively sought by the Aurors, they couldn't request a Portkey. The paperwork and questions involved would be too risky, and they'd likely never get one.

"So, how do we find Magnus Bane now?" Adhara asked, sitting on a bench and looking around nervously. "If the Muggle police find us, we're in big trouble."

"My mother didn't write down where he lives," Theo said, going through one of his mother's diaries and showing them a photo. "I only have this picture."

"We need to move fast, or someone will find us,".Mia said, her eyes darting around nervously.

"What was that?" Adhara asked suddenly, her gaze shifting to the nearby bush. Her fear was palpable as she observed something moving and hissing.

"What was what?" Theo inquired curiously.

Everyone fell silent and listened. They heard a hissing sound and saw a large, scorpion-like creature emerge from the nearby bushes. It had a long tail with spikes and a thin, whip-like stinger, moving with the speed of a striking cobra.

"THAT!" Adhara screamed and ran toward Draco, holding him tightly as she started running.

Frightened, Theo picked up Harry, and he and Mia ran after Adhara and Draco. The scorpion was chasing them with alarming speed, hissing angrily.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?" Theo shouted, his face twisted in disgust.

"LANGUAGE, TEDDY!" Mia shouted as she ran. "BUT IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED, IT'S A FUCKING SCORPION!"

"OH I SEE, YOU CAN USE SWEAR WORDS, BUT WE CAN'T?" Theo shouted back. "FUCK YOU, MIA!"

"GUYS, STOP ARGUING AND RUN!" Adhara yelled.

"I DON'T KNOW WHERE WE'RE GOING!" Mia cried, reaching Theo while sticking her tongue out at him.

"JUST RUN, FUCK IT!" Adhara shouted.

"GET IN THERE!" Theo shouted, pointing to a nearby church.

Theo, Adhara, and Mia rushed into the church and began pounding on the doors, begging for someone to open up.

"Great idea, Teddy. We're being chased by a giant scorpion, and the first thing that comes to your mind is to get us inside a church, clearly shut down. Did you think the scorpion would magically disappear?" Mia said with a grimace, looking at her best friend.

"I don't see you coming up with a better plan," Theo retorted, glaring at Mia. "Plus, aren't churches supposed to be open for those in need? I think we fall into the category big fucking need"

"Guys, stop fighting and start worrying about not becoming a scorpion's dinner tonight. We're too young to die," Adhara exclaimed in terror.

The trio, holding Harry and Draco in their arms, watched in horror as the scorpion closed in on them, hissing and striking with its stinger at an astonishing speed.

"Whatever happens, we can't let Draco and Harry get hurt," Mia said, positioning herself in front of Theo and Adhara.

"Mia, Hermione, you can't die," Adhara said, her voice anguished. "We've already lost our entire family tonight. I can't lose you too."

"I... I can't allow anything to happen to you," Mia said, watching as the scorpion approached menacingly. "You are my family, and my father always said that if there was something worth dying for, it was family. Please, go."

"We're not going to abandon you, Mia," Theo said firmly. "If we're family like you said, we won't leave you alone."

"Teddy is right," Adhara added, moving closer to Mia. "If we die, at least we'll be with our family."

"I love you," Mia said, picking up Harry and shielding him behind her. "No matter what happens, we're together until the very end."

"Together until the very end," Theo and Adhara echoed.

With the scorpion now just five meters away from them, they covered Draco and Harry with the Invisibility Cloak and prepared to face the creature. The trio knew the odds were against them, but if they died, at least they'd do so knowing that Draco and Harry would still have a chance at life.

Before they could react, the scorpion pounced on them with ferocity. Mia managed to dodge the Shax's first attack, but she couldn't avoid its claws scratching her deeply, leaving her with severe wounds on her arm. Adhara and Theo were not as fortunate. The scorpion struck them down with a powerful blow of its tail, sending them crashing into a wall.

Adhara and Theo struggled to their feet, watching as Mia writhed on the ground, bleeding profusely. Theo scanned the surroundings, searching for something to distract the scorpion. He spotted a tree branch and a chain, quickly grabbing the branch and handing it to Adhara while keeping the chain himself.

Adhara swung the branch forcefully, and Theo spun the chain in preparation. However, the scorpion proved to be much stronger and more agile than they had anticipated. It skillfully dodged their attacks and retaliated fiercely.

Adhara was hit in the knee, causing her to drop the branch, and Theo was struck in the side by the scorpion's tail. He was sent sprawling to the ground with a painful groan as the demon's ichor began to spread through his wounds, causing an agonizing burn.

Just when it seemed they couldn't hold on any longer, a flash of light illuminated the strert. Three figures appeared, dressed in black and adorned with peculiar tattoos, almost like a whirlwind. They wielded radiant swords with awe-inspiring brilliance and moved with incredible precision, launching a synchronized attack against the scorpion.

The scorpion roared in pain as the blonde-haired figure severed its tail, and the black-haired man delivered a decisive strike with his seraph blade. The black-haired woman used her whip to keep the demon at bay, preventing it from closing in on the children. The scorpion finally vanished in a burst of dark sparks.

"Are you okay?" the blonde-haired figure inquired, concern etched on their face.

Mia, Adhara, and Theo lay wounded on the ground, drenched in the demon's ichor.

"Harry," Mia whispered, her voice laced with pain.

"What's the girl saying, Izzy?" the black-haired figure asked the black-haired woman, whom they assumed was Izzy.

"She said 'Harry,'" Izzy replied.

Out of nowhere, the three newcomers noticed a black-haired baby approaching Mia, taking her hand. A platinum blonde baby waddled over to Adhara.

"Look, Alec, they're babies!" Izzy exclaimed.

"Only you could get excited about babies after killing a Scorpio demon," Alec commented with a snort.

"Dear brother, I'm still waiting for you and Magnus to give me a nephew or niece to spoil," Izzy teased.

"Can we focus on the fact that there are five Mundane children injured with demon ichor at the Institute's gates?" the blonde said, kneeling near Theo.

"Magnus," Theo whispered in pain, "we're looking for Magnus Bane."

"How do they know who Magnus is?" Izzy wondered, a mix of concern and curiosity in her voice as she looked at the blonde. "They're not Shadowhunters. Jace, where did they come from?"

"I'm going to call Magnus," Alec said, pulling out his phone and dialing.

"Izzy and I will take the kids to the infirmary, and I'll call Clary because she's better with kids than I am," Jace said, picking up Theo and carrying him into the Institute.

Izzy carefully picked up Adhara and followed Jace, repeating the process until all the children were inside the infirmary. She removed Mia's and Adhara's clothes stained with demonic ichor and found clean clothes in their backpacks, changing them. Jace, looking at Izzy, did the same for Theo.

"What is the meaning of this?" Maryse Lightwood's imperious voice filled the room as she observed the wounded children.

"Mom, please, calm down," Alec said, holding her shoulders.

"Alec, how can you tell me to calm down when these children are clearly hurt?" Maryse asked, her concern evident.

"Maryse, we found them outside the Institute, and a Scorpio demon was attacking them," Jace explained from his seat.

"We're here!" Simon and Clary exclaimed as they rushed into the infirmary.

A horrified Maryse approached the beds, while Simon and Clary began discussing the situation with Izzy, Alec, and Jace, trying to figure out what had happened.

"These kids are fighters, that's for sure," Maryse commented, a mixture of amazement and worry in her voice. "They can't be more than five years old, and they're battling the poison of a demon."

"They're not Shadowhunters," Alec confirmed after investigating. "We've checked"

"Consul, I wanted to... I wanted to apologize on behalf of everyone for not helping these children," a younger Shadowhunter stammered.

"What are you talking about?" Alec asked, his arms crossed.

"The children knocked on the door multiple times, but we thought it was a Halloween prank, given it's Halloween in the Mundane world. We only realized it was real when our defenses detected the Scorpio demon," the young Shadowhunter explained, his face turning red with embarrassment.

"They're just children," Clary exclaimed, her voice filled with anger. "I don't care if they're Shadowhunters or not, they're children, and you should have helped them."

"Clary, please calm down," Jace said soothingly, embracing her and placing a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"They're just little children, Jace," Clary responded softly, her voice filled with concern.

"You should have helped them, and we can always erase their memories later," Alec added, his frown deepening.

"We're very sorry, Consul," the nervous Shadowhunter apologized.

"Go on, but ensure this doesn't happen again," Alec instructed.

"Who are we waiting for?" Clary asked, her gaze fixed on Theo, Mia, and Adhara's labored breathing.

"I've called Magnus," Alec explained. "The black-haired boy mentioned that they were specifically looking for him, and before we heal them, we need to know if we can apply runes or determine the necessary course of action."

"Did someone say my name?" Magnus Bane's silky voice echoed through the infirmary.
