Hello all Storm here with a new story! And another non-Naruto story at that, with a very unique idea and premise. Here we'll be taking a trip to the Avatar world, a few years before canon as we see a very different choice changes things. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
"Prince Ozai, why are you wasting my time with this pomp? Just tell me what you want. Everyone else, go!" Fire Lord Azulon demanded, refusing to have his time wasted any further and wanted his son to get to the point of what he wanted.
Dismissing Ozai's wife Ursa and their children Zuko and Azula, while having Ozai remain to find out what he wanted. Though rather than follow their mother out of the throne room, Azula quickly grabbed Zuko, pulling him behind a curtain at the back of the room.
"What are you-?" Zuko said, wondering what Azula was doing when grandfather ordered them to leave.
"Shh!" Hushed Azula, not wanting him to get them caught, before moving down the curtain to an opening so they could see their father and grandfather.
The princess refused to miss her chance to hear what else being discussed, though had a good idea of what it is her father was going ask after they learned of their cousin Lu Ten's death.
"Father, you must have realized as I have, that with Lu Ten gone, Iroh's bloodline has ended. After his son's death, my brother abandoned the siege at Ba Sing Se, and who knows when he will return home. But I am here, Father, and my children are alive." Ozai said, with Azulon narrowing his eyes suspiciously.
'He is.' Azula thought while smirking, seeing her father was going to try and get grandfather to name him the Crown Prince.
With Uncle Iroh's son being dead, he no longer has an heir to pass on the title of Fire Lord to, but their father had two living children. Making it obvious who should be the next Fire Lord, at least Azula thought it was obvious.
"Say what it is you want!" Azulon ordered, but already had an idea, which only angered him that Ozai would dare disrespect his older brother and the first born son of the reigning Fire Lord in such a way.
"Father, revoke Iroh's birthright. I am your humble servant, here to serve you and our nation. Use me." Said Ozai while kneeling before his father, believing he'll understand he is the best choice to become Fire Lord with Iroh's failure and having no heir himself, he would only bring shame to the Fire Nation.
Azula's smirk grew at this, while Zuko's eyes widened at that their father would try taking their uncle's birthright, after just losing his son. Before the two tensed when all the fire in the throne room flared up as Azulon glared down at Ozai.
"You dare suggest I betray Iroh? My first born? Directly after the demise of his only beloved son? I think Iroh has suffered enough! But you…your punishment has scarcely begun!" Swore Azulon as the flames rose high enough to touch the ceiling in response to his fury.
The sight made Zuko stumble back, having never seen his grandfather so angry, before he ran out of the throne room, terrified at what would happen if they were caught spying. Looking at her brother running away, Azula mentally scoffed before turning back, wanting to see what happens next.
"You truly believe yourself more deserving of the throne?! That your will is stronger than Iroh's?! Then you shall prove it, you will suffer as Iroh has suffered! Let us see how strong you are when you too have suffered the loss of a child…by your own hand!" Azulon declared, intending to have Ozai suffer just as Iroh has.
'Having to kill his own child…? I guess Zuzu was smart in running away, I doubt he'd want to hear this.' Azula thought, assuming Azulon meant for Ozai to kill Zuko given Iroh had just lost his firstborn son, so now Ozai will too.
"Father you can't mean for me to kill Zuko? He is my own firstborn, an innocent boy that should not suffer for my own crime. Punish me as you see fit, ask of me anything but this." Said Ozai, while bowing his head to cover up the smirk he was now sporting.
'Showing some resistance, that's good. I suppose dad can't be show he's too willing to go through with it. Grandfather could just be testing him too, to see if he's deserving of the throne.' Thought Azula while nodding at her father's performance, only to frown when she looked at her grandfather, swearing she saw him smirk for a moment.
"Do you think I am a fool, my son? That I am blind to the truth, you care nothing for Zuko, you have only proved this by allowing Azula to make a fool of him. You detest your own firstborn son, and why is that? Is it because when you look at Zuko, you see Iroh, your elder brother who I have favored time and again over you. You despise your brother and your son knowing they were blessed to be the eldest, while you were left to wallow as a second son. You cannot fool me Ozai, you would kill Zuko if you were given the chance, even without my order." Azulon said, believing that to be the reasoning for Ozai's hated Zuko.
'You foolish old man, you don't know anything.' Ozai thought, mentally scoffing that his father truly believed that's why he detested Zuko.
But he knew better than to try talking back to his father and reveal the true reason he hates Zuko, knowing Azulon won't hear any of it with his temper flaring like it was. Only to tense in realization, that if his father didn't want him to kill Zuko, that only left…
"No Ozai, you will not kill the son you hate, instead the one who shall die at your hands…is your daughter! The child you truly favor, Azula!" Said Azulon, much to Ozai's and the hidden Azula's shock, as well as the latter's horror.
'M-m-m-me-me?! No…no! No! No! No! No! No! Grandfather can't mean that, I'm the prodigy, the one with any real talent! Dad would never even think of hurting me, I'm too valuable!' Azula thought, refusing to believe her father would actually kill her like he would Zuko.
"Father, you can't expect me to kill Azula! It would be the greatest waste of her talent, her skill! She has mastered Firebending Forms faster than anyone of her generation, surpassing her instructors with her ability!" Ozai argued, not wanting to kill Azula and lose someone with potential like hers.
'Yes! Yes that's right, I'm the best Firebender of my generation and I'll keep getting stronger! Grandfather has to understand that, that I'm more useful alive!' Thought Azula, hoping her father's words will convince Azulon of her value.
"Yes, she does have a talent for Firebending. It will make it all the more painful for you to snuff out such talent, then." Stated Azulon, not wavering in his decision, making Ozai grit his teeth.
"She is a once in a generation prodigy…once in centuries! Azula has the potential to be one of the most powerful Firebenders in history! No one before her has ever created blue flames that burn hotter than any others! Imagine what she would be capable of, once she reaches her prime! She would be the ultimate weapon for the Fire Nation to wield and unleash on our enemies!" Said Ozai, knowing Azula was far too valuable to be killed.
'Yeah! I'll be the Fire Nations greatest weapon and fighter, I'll eliminate anyone that stands against us! I'll...I'll do anything and show everyone how important I am!' Azula thought, not even caring her father referred to her as a weapon, if it meant she'll get live then she'll be anything she's ordered to be.
Only to shiver in fear when the flames roared to life around Azulon, seeing he's even angrier than before when Ozai first asked to disinherit Iroh.
"Enough! You believe you deserve to be named Fire Lord yet you refuse to follow an order given by the Fire Lord?! Such actions are ground for treason, boy! This will be your final warning Ozai, you will either kill Azula or I shall disinherit you entirely! You will no longer be a prince or a citizen of the Fire Nation, you will have nothing and you will be nothing! Decide now!" Azulon demanded, making Ozai scowl at being given such an ultimatum to either kill the child he favors or be disinherited.
'Please, please, please, please! Please dad, you know how useful I am, you care about me more than Zuko! You'd never kill me, I know it!' Azula thought desperately, hoping beyond hope her father cared about her enough to choose her.
"…Very well, father. I will kill Azula, so that I may experience the same pain and loss as Iroh." Ozai said while bowing his head, conceding to his father's demands to kill Azula, no matter how much he hated losing such an asset.
But with any luck, any future children he has could prove to have the same talent as her, even better if they prove to be even stronger.
While Azula froze in shock and horror, that her father had actually agreed to kill her just for the chance to be named Fire Lord. That even with her talent, skill, training and usefulness, he would still choose to kill her.
'He…he's really…he's going…to kill me?! I…I need to get out of here!' Azula thought with tears streaming down her face before fleeing the throne room, horrified and hysteric that her father was going to kill her.
Azula didn't care which way she went or who saw her, the only thing on her mind was getting out of the palace and out of the Fire Nation. Knowing she'll never be safe here again, and that no one could help her.
Mai and Ty Lee wouldn't be able to help her since, while they might be from noble families, their parents didn't have the power to deny a request from her father. Especially if it was backed by the Fire Lord, himself.
She couldn't go to her mother since she saw her as a monster, and she couldn't even go to her brother since he hated her while also thinking she always lies.
'Why would they care?! They'd probably even be happy that I'm gone, that they won't have to see me ever again! They'll probably hand me over to father, themselves!' Azula thought in fear that her own mother and brother would let Ozai kill her and be happy she's dead.
Running out of the Royal Palace, Azula didn't stop as she ran out of the gates next and into Hari Bulkan, also known as Royal Caldera City. The princess remembering enough of the city's layout to know where to go to get down to Harbor City.
With it taking some time to go down the volcano to reach Harbor City, but Azula didn't stop once no matter how exhausted she felt. Even when she ended tripping and falling down, she got back up and kept running. Knowing the more time she wasted, the more time her father had to find her.
'Need to get away, need to get away, need to get away! Where?! Where?! Where?! Where?!' Azula thought once she reached Harbor City and headed straight for the docks to sneak onto a ship.
Once she reached the docks, Azula looked around frantically for a ship she could stowaway on, before spotting one where workers were loading numerous crates onto the ship.
'There!' Thought Azula upon seeing the cargo ship as her best chance to escape, running towards it to sneak aboard.
Moving carefully to avoid being seen, knowing if she's spotted she'll be taken back to the palace where Ozai is already likely searching for her. Waiting for her moment, Azula soon rushed forward and into the ship, heading to the back of the cargo hold. Once there the ravenette found a good spot to hide among the cargo, hiding behind some crates with her back against the wall.
'Please don't find me, please don't find me, please don't find me!' Thought Azula while sliding down to the floor and pulling her legs up to her chest to make herself a small and unnoticeable as possible.
She wasn't sure how much time had passed, just that she didn't move from her spot the entire time in fear of being discovered. Only feeling slight relief when she felt the ship begin moving, but knew she won't be safe until she's out of the Fire Nation entirely.
Before Azula shivered from how cold it was in the hold, holding her hands out to create a fireball to keep herself warm the rest of the trip. Though her eyes widened in horror and panic when she could barely create a small flame, even worse when it was the normal red, orange and yellow color rather than bright blue.
"No, no, no, no, no!" Azula muttered in horror that her Firebending, the only thing she really had left, is somehow vanishing.
Trying again and again to ignite a fire, Azula felt tears in her eyes when all she could manage to create were a few wisps of flames that'd be lucky to light a candle. The girl buried her face into her knees as she cried at how she's now really lost everything she had.
*Later-With Ozai*
After agreeing to his father's order to kill Azula unless he wished to be disinherited, Ozai had waited until it was long into the night when Azula would already be asleep. Considering it mercy to wait until she was sleeping before doing the deed, knowing she wouldn't feel a thing before it was over.
But when he went to her room with a dagger in hand, Ozai found her chambers empty and no sign that she had even gone to bed, much to his displeasure that she wasn't anywhere to be seen. Which only grew when he began searching the rest of the palace to find out where she was.
Checking the gardens, the Royal Gallery, the Royal Spa, the different secret chambers hidden throughout the palace, he even checked inside Zuko's room on the off-chance she was in there. But everywhere he looked he found no sign of her, much to his frustration and annoyance.
"You!" Ozai said while glaring at a guard, making them flinch before quickly rushing over before bowing to the prince.
"How may I serve you, Prince Ozai?" Questioned the guard, nervous at why the prince called out to them.
"Spread the word to all the guards in the capital! Inform them that Princess Azula is missing and that she's to be found and brought to me, immediately!" Ordered Ozai, believing she must have snuck out of the palace, with it even being possible she even listened in on what his father ordered him to do and now she's run away.
"Right away, My Prince!" The guard said before running off to spread the word.
"Why are you having the guards search for Azula? Has something happened to her?" Someone asked, making Ozai look to see his "dear wife" Ursa with a worried look on her face.
The princess had just come from checking on her children, finding Zuko sleeping in his bed but couldn't find Azula in her room. Though she initially wasn't worried, believing her daughter was sneaking around somewhere. But when she heard Ozai ordering the guards to search for her, she started getting worried since if he couldn't find where she was, then it means Azula wasn't in the palace at all.
"Not yet." Ozai said darkly, his annoyance at Azula's disappearance making him reconsider his earlier "mercy", with his words setting Ursa on edge.
"Why are you searching for Azula?" Said Ursa, wondering what exactly Ozai was planning to do to their daughter.
"I tried making my father see reason, that I am the only one able to be named Fire Lord now that Iroh no longer has an heir. He disagreed and believed I should suffer as Iroh has suffered by either being disinherited entirely or by killing Azula myself." Ozai revealed, making Ursa gasp in shock and horror.
"H-he…did that?! Y-you…you wouldn't…" Ursa said, not believing Azulon would do such a thing, with part of her hoping Ozai cared enough about Azula to not go through with it.
Only for her shock and horror to grow, along with feeling anger, when Ozai remained stoic. Already knowing the answer, and how foolish it was to hope for such a thing.
"You…you would really kill our daughter? Your own blood, a ten-year-old girl! Just so you could secure your own right to the throne?!" Demanded Ursa, having always known of Ozai's ambitious and power-hungry nature, but she didn't think he was this much of a monster to go through with killing his own child
With Ozai narrowing his eyes at her before scoffing that she's showing concern for Azula now, when her life was in danger.
"Don't think you can act like a concerned parent now, Ursa. You've had ten years to care for Azula, yet it's only now you show worry, when her life will end." Ozai retorted, making Ursa glare at him.
"I love Azula! I've always loved her, you're the one that only sees her as a tool! But even that doesn't stop you from planning to kill her!" Ursa said, only for Ozai to scoff again.
"If that's true then why is it I am the parent Azula has always run to, the one she confides in when no one else is around? Your doting on Zuko, his entire life, has allowed Azula to be open about her frustrations with me. The insecurities she's felt at not getting the same affection you hand out so freely. Then to overhear that her own mother was afraid of her, that you saw her as a monster, Azula knew that she could only depend on me." Revealed Ozai, much to Ursa's horror that Azula heard such things.
"No! I-I…I never thought she was a monster, she…she just needed to be disciplined, to learn to not be cruel! To not be like you!" Said Ursa while shaking her head, having only tried to discipline Azula to stop being so cruel to others, especially her brother.
"Yet you still never made an attempt to show her the same love and affection you showed Zuko, doing nothing to show you cared for her. You believe I made Azula what she is, but you are the one that pushed her to me. Allowing me to impose my will and beliefs onto her, molding her into the monster you so feared she would become. A monster of your own making, my dear wife." Ozai retorted, with Ursa feeling like she's just been struck.
"I…I didn't…" Ursa said shakily, trying to think of a moment when she showed Azula she loved her as much as Zuko, that she cared about her daughter, only for nothing to come to mind.
Horrifying the princess that the realization she never tried showing her daughter she loved and cared about her as much as Zuko. That Azula truly believed she saw her as a monster to be afraid of.
Before she looked at Ozai when he actually started chuckling.
"It's funny actually, you could never stand the idea that Zuko would grow up to be like me and wished he wasn't my son. Yet you never showed such concern for our daughter, and now look at what our family has become. It's always because of you, you and those damned letters! Did you really think I wouldn't learned what you were doing, here, in my own home?! That the servants would have more loyalty to you than me?!" Ozai demanded, glaring at Ursa furiously that she truly believed he wouldn't be suspicious and find out what she was doing before schooling his features.
"And allow me to remind you, I tried to be a good father to Zuko and Azula. You remember, don't you, on Ember Island when Zuko nearly drowned and how I was the one who dove in to save his life. Even when he didn't show any signs of having the spark, when he was born, you and the Fire Sages convinced me to still raise him and I did. But you just couldn't be content, still obsessing over missing the life of a commoner, trying to contact that dead boy whose life I spared until you thought to try and trick me. Making me believe he was Zuko's father when we both knew it was a lie. Yet you still wished Zuko was never my son, so I fulfilled your wish and have treated him as the son of a traitorous dog, just as you desired." Said Ozai, watching as Ursa cracked with each word he spoke before brushing past her.
"Everything that has happened to our family is of your own doing. You wished for Zuko to not be my son, so I have treated him as such. You had no desire to be with our daughter, so she ran to me instead. You can lie to yourself as much as you wish, but you are just as much responsible for all of this as my father and I." Ozai said as he left.
Refusing to let Ursa try and claim any moral high ground, when she's just as guilty as he and Azulon were.
Ursa didn't move for a few moments, standing in the hall numbly as Ozai's words echoed in her head, feeling tears streaming down her face. No longer able to ignore just how much she's failed as a mother, not only for Azula but Zuko as well.
After a few moments she managed to bring herself to slowly move, still feeling numb at the crushing realization. Only for her to not get far when she turned a corner, only to find Zuko standing there, with Ursa flinching at her sons uncharacteristically cold expression. Not seeing any of the usual warmth and kindness he had whenever he looked at her.
"Is it true?" Zuko asked, making Ursa flinch again.
"Z-Zuko?" Said Ursa, reaching out to her son, feeling her heart break when he stepped away from her.
"Is it true?! That father hates me because you wished I wasn't his son?!" Demanded Zuko, much to the princess's despair.
"H-how d-di-did you-" Ursa said, wondering how he knew that.
"I heard everything. I left my room to find out what was going on, when I heard you and father arguing. I heard about Azula, and that father hates me because of letters you wrote! Lying that I wasn't his son and wishing I wasn't! That he's doing what you want, with how he treats me! Is it true?!" Zuko said, wanting to hear her say anything to confirm or deny it.
"I…" Said Ursa while opening and closing her mouth, but couldn't think of anything to say, there's nothing she could say as no matter what she said, it would be the right answer.
Feeling her heart break further when Zuko now looked at her in betrayal and heartbreak, seeing that it was true, that his own mother is the reason his father hates him.
"I thought…I thought you and Uncle were the only ones in our family I could depend, that I could always trust and count on both of you. Now…now I see where Azula got her penchant for lying from, I thought it was father but she got it from you! Can I even depend on Uncle or has he been lying too?!" Zuko demanded, with Ursa choking back a sob.
"Zuko, please just let me try to expl-" Ursa begged, wanting to at least get a chance to try and explain everything, only to recoil when Zuko smacked her hand away.
"No! I'm not going to listen to any more lies! You're the reason my own father hates me, the reason my sister is gone, somewhere in the world alone and scared of being killed! I don't want anything from you from ever again!" Shouted Zuko, the flames of the wall-mounted candles flaring up from his anger.
Before the prince took off running, leaving his devastated and heartbroken mother, with Ursa soon collapsing to the floor while covering her face as she cried.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!" Ursa cried as she knew she's lost both of her children and could only blame herself.
That the very thing she feared happened may now come to pass, and it would be the result of her own actions.
*Timeskip-One Day*
"Azulon. Fire Lord to our nation for twenty-three years. You were our fearless leader in the Battle of Garsai. Our matchless conqueror of the Hu Xin Provinces. You were father of Iroh, father of Ozai, husband of Ilah, now passed. Grandfather of Lu Ten, now passed. Grandfather of Zuko and Azula. We lay you to rest." Said the High Sage to the gathered crowd as they mourned the death of Fire Lord Azulon, who had passed peacefully in his sleep last night.
Nodding to the other Fire Sages as they released jets of fire at Azulon's coffin to cremate him before the High Sage then held up the fire crown worn by the Fire Lord, turning to Ozai to his right.
"As was your dying wish, you are now succeeded by your second son." The High Sage declared while placing the crown in Ozai's top knot, as everyone bowed to the new Fire Lord.
"Hail Fire Lord Ozai!" Said the High Sage as he, the mourners and Fire Sage's all bowed to Ozai as he stood up, basking in finally having the title he's desired his entire life.
While in the crowd of mourners, one of them lifted their head to reveal Ursa. Her face hidden by the red hooded cloak that she and the crowd wore the in honor of Azulon, knowing she couldn't be seen in the Fire Nation after Ozai banished her for killing Azulon.
After she had managed to collect herself, Ursa had gone to Ozai with an offer, she'll create an colorless, odorless poison to give to Azulon. Making it seem like he passed away peacefully in his sleep, allowing Ozai to ascend the throne. Having done this to save Azula's life, should the search parties find her, knowing with Azulon dead there'd be no reason for Ozai to kill her.
Though this lead to Ozai banishing her out of fear she'd use the poison on him, something she wouldn't even deny doing if she got the chance. The only regret she had was that she couldn't take Zuko with her, both because Ozai threatened to have them killed if she did, and she doubted Zuko wanted anything to do with her anymore.
The only reassurance she had is the fact that Ozai intended to still take care of Zuko, with Ursa hoping he would treat him better now that Zuko's his only heir.
Ursa knew she should've left the moment she gave Ozai the poison, but she couldn't leave not without getting one last look at her son, knowing that the chance of ever seeing him again were slim. And part of her, a darker and more sadistic part, wanted to enjoy the sight of seeing Azulon's body reduced to ashes.
The former princess looked sadly at her son as he bowed along with everyone else, seeing how he wasn't showing any emotion to his grandfather's death or his father's coronation.
'Zuko, I'm so sorry. You can hate me for the rest of your life, but please…please never forget who you are.' Ursa thought, hoping that Zuko will at least stay true to himself and not become what Ozai wants him to be.
Once the mourners all began dispersing, Ursa slipped away to make her way to Harbor City and get a ship out of the Fire Nation. Part of her having considered returning to Hira'a, to see her home and parents again after so many years.
But Ursa knew she had something much more important to do than returning to her birth home, she was going to find Azula. No matter how long it takes, even if it took Ursa her entire life, she was going to find her daughter.
'Azula, I'm sorry…I'm so sorry for everything I've done. I…I want to try…try to make things right, to show I do love you, that I care about you. Please…please safe until I can find you.' Ursa mentally pleaded, hoping she'll be able to make amends with at least one of her children.
*With Azula*
Azula jolted awake when she felt the ship come to a stop, before she quickly stood up and made her way to the exit, wanting to get off the ship as soon as possible.
The moment she saw the hull door open, Azula rushed outside past the dockworkers and crewmen of the ship, not wanting to risk any of them catching her. Only running faster when she heard a few shouting at her.
Not stopping until she was out of the sight of the docks, Azula looked around to find out just where she was now. Her eyes widening at seeing she's in a large town, or even a city, with what looked like Earth Kingdom and Fire Nations designs blending together in the decorations and architecture. Not only that, but she also saw numerous blacksmiths and metalworkers everywhere she looked.
'I…I think this is…Yu Dao…one of the first Fire Nation colonies.' Azula thought, remembering her lessons about the history of the Fire Nation and Hundred Year War.
Though before Azula could think of what to do next, she grimaced when her stomach began growling as she felt the adrenaline from her escape was now leaving her. Leaving the ravenette completely exhausted and hungry.
'Hopefully I can find somewhere to eat, here.' Azula thought while looking around Yu Dao before going off to find something to eat.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see when Ozai first tries convincing Azulon to make him Fire Lord instead of Iroh, much to Azulon's anger at the disrespect. Intending to have Ozai suffer just as Iroh has suffered by killing one of his own children. But rather than killing his firstborn son, Azulon instead orders Ozai to kill Azula, knowing she's the child he truly favors. Something that genuinely shocks Ozai before he tries convincing his father of Azula's usefulness and that it'd be a waste to kill her.
Only for Azulon to then threaten to disinherit Ozai entirely if he doesn't kill Azula, making Ozai eventually concede. All while Azula has hidden and heard everything, much to her shock and horror that her father is really going to kill her. Before she flees the palace and Fire Nation entirely, knowing she's no longer safe there and no one could help her. Managing to stowaway on a cargo ship to get away, while seeing her inner fire has already begun going out over losing everything and her purpose.
While we see Ozai soon learning of Azula's disappearance and orders search parties sent out to find her, getting Ursa's attention. With her being shocked and horrified when Ozai reveals the ultimatum Azlon gave him, and that he plans to go through with it. Much to Ursa's anger and disgust he'd really kill their daughter just to become Fire Lord.
Though Ozai then throws everything Ursa's done in her face, forcing her to see how little she's actually done to show Azula she cares. Reminding her how he tried being a good father in the beginning, raising Zuko even on the chance he wasn't a bender and saving his life when he nearly drowned. That it was only because of her letters and wish that Zuko wasn't his son that he began treating Zuko as such.
Also quick side note, Ursa's not being bashed nor is Ozai growing a conscious, he's just showing her that she's no different from him and Azulon with her actions.
We also see Zuko heard everything, learning that Azula is gone (as no matter how she acted she was still his little sister and loved her as such) and that his father hates him because of what his mother did. Much to Ursa's heart break when Zuko no longer wants anything to do with her, leaving her alone to cry at her failures as a mother.
Finally we see Azulon's funeral and Ozai crowned Fire Lord after Ursa made a deal to give him a poison to use on Azulon, allowing him to be named Fire Lord. But at the cost of being banished and unable to take Zuko with her. But rather than return to Hira'a, Ursa plans to search for Azula, to try and make things right with at least one of her children.
While we see Azula has arrived in Yu Dao, wondering what she's supposed to do now before going to find something to eat after the adrenaline of everything wore off. So, for those that like the story, thanks for your support. For those that don't or at least don't like the direction taken, you're more than welcomed to drop the story. But thanks for giving the story a chance anyway.
Storm out
