Happy Halloween everyone! TheKingHHH100 here, back from the dead to present you a new story. I apologize for being inactive this year but a lot of things have been going on as of late and it's been crazy, I haven't been able to write anything new for a while, but I wanted to post something for Halloween as it's been a little annual tradition of mines. I've got plenty of stories cooking in the oven, which I hope to post when I feel they're ready for you guys to read, but for now I'll upload some short stories for the remainder of the year, then I hope to post some new longer ones next year, as well as update the few ones I already have (for those wondering for ED 10, I began working on a draft for Chapter 10 but lost motivation midway, although I already have a good concept of what I want to do so I hope to finally finish Season 1 by next year). I once again want to thank you for being so patient if you've been waiting for any update and for your continuous support.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this little one-shot made in the style of a horror tale, please leave a review or favorite if you like it, without further ado, on to the story!

Once upon a time, there was an old village on top of a mountain, known as the 'Village of Dragons'. There lived all kinds of Dragon-type Pokémon as the only rule to live in there was to be of that type, since all the other types of Pokémon were seen as lesser and 'impure' when compared to the 'noble' Dragon race. Various other Pokémon tried to get in there, as life was rumored to be wonderful and thriving, but they were denied entry by the Council of the Five Sages, who ruled the village and determined whether a Pokémon could live there or not. The Council of the Five Sages was composed by Dragonite, Salamence, Garchomp, Haxorus and Hydreigon. They were known as such due to their great knowledge and wisdom, and also because they were the five strongest Dragon-types of the village, though they preferred to use their intelligence to solve problems and help the villagers.
One day, a small and injured Trapinch arrived on the village, asking for food and shelter. However, given that his kind were Ground-types and not Dragons, the Council reunited to decide what to do with him. Haxorus, who was the eldest member and that of higher rank, refused to allow the Trapinch into the village even though he pleaded to the Sages to let him in, as it was likely he wouldn't survive without their help. However, Dragonite told him to leave as he wasn't a 'pure' Dragon-type like them but a poor excuse for a Pokémon that didn't deserve to live in the village due to being too weak. The other Four Sages backed up Haxorus decision, proud to maintain the 'purity' of their race and soon forgot about the exile of that weak waste of a Pokémon. Or so they thought.
Years passed after that event and life went on for them as normal, until one day that seemed like any other, where the Council reunited as usual to deal with their everyday tasks, finishing their ruling duties for the day and going back to their respective homes. They barely had anything to discuss as there hadn't been any conflicts nor 'impure' Pokémon trying to sneak into their village. However, when Garchomp made his way towards his house and got ready to sleep like every night, he sensed something weird and realized there was a shadowy figure following after him.
At first, Garchomp thought he was just seeing things due to tiredness and that it would disappear after a good night of sleep. But as the ground dragon laid down, he felt a piercing sensation going through his body as suddenly a dark green claw bursted through his body. A fatally wounded Garchomp then got up and was able to see what appeared to be a large, green dragon with glowing red eyes. He tried to retaliate with his signature Dragon Claw, but before he could complete the attack, a harsh, cold sensation ran through his body as he felt the claw hitting him again, this time covered in an icy-blue aura. He instantly recognized that move as Ice Punch, an Ice-type move that was lethal for any Dragon-type, but specially for a dual Dragon/Ground-type like him. He began to fade from consciousness as the ice cold covered his body, freezing him in place, the last thing he heard was his assassin saying "Only four remain". Then, the green dragon proceeded to Slash through Garchomp's frozen body, cutting it into pieces before leaving it there for the others to find.
The next day, the Council reunited as usual to do their work, but everyone soon realized Garchomp was missing. Feeling as if it was not like him to show up late or miss out on his duty, Dragonite, who was best friends with Garchomp, offered to go to his house and look for him. However, upon arriving he soon discovered the still frozen and dismembered remains of his friend, much to his utter horror and fury. Being the youngest and most impulsive of the Five Sages, Dragonite took flying around the village in order to find his friend's killer instead of alerting his fellow sages in the Council.
He soon spotted an unknown green dragon flying around his path, as if following after him. Dragonite confronted the stranger as he got a weird feeling about him, having never seen a dragon like this one in the village before, which only made the sage wearier about him. "Hey, you! Who are you, marauder? I have never seen you in the village, so you must not be from around here."
The green dragon seemed to chuckle at his question, before responding. "Oh, so you don't remember me? I remember you, and the nasty things you said about me."
Dragonite raised an eyebrow with curiosity at this. Just who was this outsider and what was he talking about? He never met him before as far as the dragon sage could recall. Still, what this stranger said only made him more suspicious and he decided to interrogate the imperious dragon about it. "What do you mean? Like I just said, I've never seen you before in my life, so what could I possibly have told you? Answer me!"
The mysterious dragon smirked in response, showing a mouth full of fangs, before speaking. "A pathetic weakling like you doesn't deserve an answer, you're a poor excuse for a Pokémon that doesn't deserve to live."
Dragonite frowned in anger at the words of this outsider, who was he to dare speak to a great dragon sage like that? He would beat some respect into this fool and show him the power of a true mighty dragon. "Insolent!" the dragon sage shouted as he charged a powerful Hyper Beam and fired it at the green dragon, who surprisingly managed to dodge it with an outstanding speed. This got the proud dragon even more angrier as he charged up another beam and fired at him, only for the same to happen, again and again.
An all-out battle broke in the sky, although the unknown dragon merely limited to effortlessly dodge the sage's attacks, until exhaustion seemed to catch up to Dragonite from all his continuous attacks and needed to recharge, which the green dragon took chance to respond. "Are you done? It's my turn now" he announced before doing a complete turn and charging at the tired up Dragonite, slashing him repeatedly with his Dragon Claws in a barrage of attacks, slashing through the sage's body and causing multiple wounds and cuts all over, followed by covering his claws in the same icy-blue aura and using his Ice Punches to freeze the flying dragon's body in place.
As the cold sensation ran through his body, Dragonite soon realized this was what happened to his friend Garchomp, but it was too late for him now as the green dragon Slashed his throat, cutting his head off as the remains of his now frozen body fell limp and crashed onto the ground bellow, breaking into pieces like Garchomp's did. The murderous dragon looked proud at this and muttered, "Only three remain" before flying away from the scene.
The rest of the Council soon went searching for both of their missing members, first looking up in Garchomp's house to find his frozen remains, and then they soon found Dragonite's remains not too far from there as well. Putting the pieces together, they soon realized that whoever killed them was after the Five Sages, so they decided to interrogate each and every one of the villagers in an attempt to find the murderer. As they went back to the palace where they work at to redact the proper decree that would make all villagers have to report to them for interrogation, they were surprised to find an unknown green dragon waiting for them in there.
None of the Sages seemed to know this Pokémon or what he actually was, but before any of them could ask, the mysterious stranger spoke up. "Surprised to see me? I bet you've never seen a Flygon before, am I right? After all, you've never let any non-Dragon type Pokémon into the village, but did you ever consider if one of them was capable of evolving into one?" the green dragon questioned, a glint of murderous intent flashing in his red, wide lens-like eyes as he said this. All three remaining Sages immediately realized not only what he meant, but that he was also the one responsible for the demise of their fellow two dragons, quickly fleeing in panic so as to avoid the same fate. However, the green dragon known as Flygon didn't care to chase after them, as he already picked his next victim to go after.
Salamence was known to be the fastest of all the Five Sages and of all dragons amongst the village, so he was naturally surprised to see this green monster flying after him with little difficulty, and not only that but also catching up to him in no time. He tried to defend himself by firing a Draco Meteor into the sky, which broke into a barrage of multiple, smaller meteors that pelted towards Flygon, but the Mystic Pokémon managed to dodge all of them with a surprising Extreme Speed before backing Salamence into a corner as the dragon sage pleaded for mercy to no avail.
"Mercy? Did you ever spare mercy to any of the weak, injured or hungry Pokémon that begged for you to let them into the village? Perhaps death will teach you not to discriminate others" Flygon responded, before attacking Salamence with his super-effective Dragon Claws and Ice Punches, causing great damage to the Dragon Pokémon, before ending his life with a Hyper Beam. Upon finishing Salamence off, Flygon commented, "Only two remain."
Luckily for him, his two remaining victims had not gone too far. Hydreigon had gone to his house, hopping to be able to hide in there as his three heads couldn't decide on what to do. The right head was completely scared of what awaited them, thinking that they had no chance against Flygon and that the best course of action was to flee from the village and remain hidden, while the left head was furious about this and wanted to confront Flygon directly to destroy him. The remaining and center head was adamant about either option, not decanting for one nor the other. However, before he could decide on what to do, Flygon arrived at his house and found him. Hydreigon's center head asked him who he was and why was he doing this to them?
"You call yourselves Sages, yet none of you seem wise enough to realize who I am. Perhaps you're not as smart as you thought" Flygon responded, before charging at Hydreigon with murderous intent. Hydreigon tried to defend himself, but Flygon was just too powerful and Slashed both his right and left heads off, before blowing the remaining head with another Hyper Beam.
For his part, Haxorus had also gone back to his house, but unlike Hydreigon he did not intend to hide. Being the older and wiser of the Five Sages, he knew it was futile to try and escape, as he would leave the village with no protection from that monster. He also knew his time was up and all he could do was wait for the inevitable, as Flygon was too powerful for direct confrontation and he was no match for him, but awaited him with no sign of fear. He was made aware of Flygon's presence by hearing his voice again, saying, "Only you remain".
Haxorus knew what the murderous dragon meant by that, as he had already figured by the time passed that all his fellow sages were dead by this point, and he also knew why Flygon would come for him last. He looked directly into those wide lens-like red eyes full of hatred and spoke, "You. You're that Trapinch we didn't let into the village all those years ago, aren't you?"
The dark green dragon showed a satisfied smirk after hearing this. "Yes. Finally, someone remembers me. I see why you're considered the wiser of all the Sages. When I arrived at your village, I was weak and injured, and I needed to enter for food and help. But you discriminated me for being a Trapinch, just because I wasn't a Dragon-type like you were. I thought I was gonna starve to death, I even tried to end my suffering by jumping off a cliff, only to be saved at the last moment by a Tyranitar, who took me to a group of Pokémon that had been committed out of the village for not being Dragon-type, like you did to me. They helped me and treated me kindly, like one of them. After I healed, I started to train with the Larvitar, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Swablu, Tyranitar and all the others you casted aside for not being dragons. They helped me get stronger, evolve into a Vibrava and eventually into the Flygon that I am today, all in name of carrying out this revenge. And through all these years, your words of mock and disdain, you rejecting me for not being like you and refusing to help me, that is what filled me with determination to kill all of you, not only for me but for every Pokémon you did the same to." Flygon finished explaining.
After hearing this, Haxorus just nodded and stayed still, which surprised Flygon somewhat as all the other Sages had at least tried to fight back. "I comprehend, we treated you and all those other Pokémon poorly, but you need to understand we were just looking after our kind. If you still wish to carry out your revenge, then so be it, I accept my fate. But please, I beg you to spare all the other villagers after you're done killing me" the axe-headed dragon said. Flygon merely smirked at this and looked up to the sky, before responding, "Oh, it's too late for them."
But before Haxorus could ask what he meant, he also looked up and saw a huge shadow casted upon the entire village, which belonged to a huge Draco Meteor, one larger than either him or any of the other Sages could muster. "Ready for the big finish?" Flygon asked. Knowing full well he couldn't just remain cross-armed and wait for the imminent annihilation of his people, Haxorus tried to plead with Flygon. "Please, stop this at once! The Council of the Five Sages is dead! We will no longer mistreat any Pokémon! You've already got your revenge! You can kill me, but please none of the innocent villagers have done anything bad to you!"
"Innocent? No one that lives in this damn village is innocent! No one who would discriminate a poor, injured Trapinch deserves to live! They will all pay the price for belonging in a darn place like this! No Pokémon will ever again be discriminated for their typing!" Flygon responded. Haxorus looked up at the incoming meteor and knew there was nothing to do, they were all doomed and going to die then and there as the meteor covered everything around the village and left nothing but destruction on its wake, all because of one little Trapinch who finally got his revenge.
