Honoring Kwarrel

The atmosphere is tranquil with a shining sun resembling a pearl, and the sweet melodies of chirping birds fill the air.

The cemetery housed a man with jet-black hair who remained still as a sculpture, his obsidian eyes locked onto the tombstone.

The agony he feels in his heart is evident in his gaze.

Kevin had never met anyone better than Kwarrel.

Undoubtedly, he had a significant influence on Kevin's life, imparting valuable lessons on how to manage his abilities and shaping his ethical principles. It was under his guidance that Kevin developed his distinctive fighting style of absorbing matter rather than energy. Moreover, he played a crucial role in Kevin's escape from the Null Void and subsequent homecoming to Earth. For Kevin, he was akin to the father figure he never had. his death was particularly traumatic, and he only sought vengeance against Kwarrel's murderer by returning to the Null Void when his mind was broken and he could not comprehend the purpose of Kwarrel's initial message.

Kwarrel's impact on Kevin's life makes him one of the best person.

Kwarrel shared a unique bond with Kevin, whom he guided in controlling his rage, mutation, and abilities. Their connection evolved into a mentor-mentee dynamic, and possibly even a father-son relationship. Kwarrel not only brought Kevin along in his attempt to flee Incarcecon, but also sacrificed his own life to ensure Kevin's escape and have better future. Undoubtedly, Kwarrel's impact had a positive effect on Kevin's life.

When Kwarrel first encounters Kevin 11 in the prison yard, the latter is displaying hostility. Kwarrel advises him to calm down, but Kevin attempts to attack him. Kwarrel swiftly takes him down and introduces himself before Kevin loses consciousness. He assures Kevin that he will be available to assist him in overcoming his anger. Kevin eventually seeks Kwarrel's guidance, and Kwarrel welcomes him with open arms. Kwarrel proceeds to mentor Kevin on how to reverse his mutation and absorb materials instead of energy. Once Kevin has mastered these skills, Kwarrel declares that he has nothing more to teach him.

While caught up in a prison riot, Kwarrel disclosed to Kevin a clandestine underground passage that he had been digging for years. He invited Kevin to join him in using the tunnel to escape from Incarcecon. Unfortunately, Morgg, the guard at the time, was lying in wait for them. Morgg had been aware of the tunnel's existence for months and was ready to shoot them both. Kwarrel bravely tackled Morgg, causing him to drop his blaster, and urged Kevin to flee. Kevin took off running while Morgg retrieved his weapon and fatally shot Kwarrel.

Tears streamed down Kevin's cheeks as he closed his eyes, remembering the faithful day when he lost yet another father figure after Devin's death.

A gentle touch landed softly on his shoulder, but he didn't turn to look. His mind was preoccupied with the grave. As Ben and Gwen stood either side of him with their heads hung down.

"Thanks for honoring him Ben." Said Kevin.

"I can understand what he means to you Kevin." Said Ben.

After Kevin returned to normal from his latest mutation. He share his story about Kwarrel to Ben and Gwen. Due to respect they offered to honor him for changing Kevin for good.

"I wish he is still with me. He may be a good member for our team. Said Kevin looking sad.

"He will always be with you." Said Gwen as she hugged Kevin.

A cool breeze of wind touched them stroking their faces.

"I think he heard you Kevin." Said Gwen.

The three of them took a last glance at the grave and left.
