Book Two: Chapter Two

[Elemental Alliance]

Amongst the still quietness strolled one Relon Lucinance. Steady hours had long since passed before the transitioning settings from houses to large skyscrapers to abandoned trailer parks. How he even knew what these words were, like those previous, escaped him and he gave up on solving that mystery. All he could determine was that within his plane, his locked memories breaching his consciousness with the assistance of the Silent Voice were much stronger here than in the real world. All the while, not a single sight or recognizable hint of any new faces were found.

Regardless, it amazed him how far this plane of his expanded. Unlike during the meeting, his mind was at peace. No thoughts lingered above or below the still surface. By the first hint of dawn, he'd already begun to retrace his steps. With twice the pace, he trekked back home. Where friends, family, and loved ones awaited.

"Thank you for staying by her side."

A new voice, much like Arlecchino's, manifested from nothingness. Whirling around in both surprise and instinct, his eyes laid sights on familiarity itself.

"Ei?"

As the name suggested, the woman before him bore a striking resemblance. Similar purple-hued kimono, same purple hair. Unlike Ei, this woman's hair followed freely with the mute morning breeze.

Mind recovering, common sense permeated his thoughts. Had this individual been Ei, he would have heard her both verbally from her mouth and inwardly from his own thoughts.

"Who… are you?"

"Continue to look after Ei for me, Relon. And please; don't let Ei know we spoke."

With a kind-filled wink and hushing gesture, she began to vanish.

In spite of the strange appearance, he felt no need to warrant any concerns. He didn't question the oddity of that notion either. This was his world. His safe haven. Whether they had met in the past or not, her request was valid but ill needed. He made that vow a year ago and he renewed it once already. Ei and himself were inseparable and he'd have it no other way. Their goals aligned as did their feelings. To request for him to assist her simply wasn't needed.

Perhaps that was why during this very moment, even as she faded into nothingness, her endearing smile never waned.

Peering down a road toward the rising sun, he gives one last glance in the direction she came from before departing.

Much work was needed. Before all that, breakfast had to be made.

"Time to see just how much I've forgotten."

Lucinance Residence

"Eggs, eggs, where are the eggs?!"

"I have them! Here you go!"

"Eula, can you pass me the milk?"

"Give me a moment! Has anyone seen the butter?"

"Got one bar's worth left! Catch, teehee!"

"H-Hey! Curses, playing around in a kitchen. You'll have my vengeance!"

"Vengeance this, vengeance that. The only things seeking vengeance are those burning pancakes." Widening at the tengu's words, the knight turns to see charred edges on the doughy substances.

"I'm going to cleave her in two." Eula twitches passing Ayaka the milk.

"I believe Relon wouldn't like that." Ayaka chuckles.

"Indeed he wouldn't." Ganyu agrees while mashing herbs.

"Hu Tao, don't throw stuff in the kitchen! And watch what you're cooking!" Keqing chides.

"Oya-oya? Well future Mrs. Jealous-Leggings, you may wanna look at your own concoction~."

"M-M-Mrs?! Wait, what are you- Oh no!"

"Hmpf, what fools. A meal such as this requires the utmost skill. One which mere mortals are ill capable of crafting. Oz, fetch thy spatula!"

"As you wish, mein fräulein. If I may, is toast supposed to be such a dark shade?"

"Huh? Ahh!"

When Relon Lucinance returned to his otherworldly residency, he was still expecting for everyone to be sound asleep. The ideal plan was to quietly slip pass them and begin rehoning his craft in the kitchen. Not only had his original plan failed before it even started, but a part of him could only look saddened at the once neatly kept kitchen space capable of five was no longer that. Objects were tossed back and forth from out of the pantry while bodies bumped against one another maneuvering around to either receive said airborne goods or to retreat back to their station.

Some like Ganyu and Keqing had a sense of carefulness in spite of the surrounding chaos while others… Hell, it's obvious Hu Tao and Fischl would be the ones to spark any chaos. That or Miko. Speaking of…

Likely the cusp, the cherry on top regarding Relon's morning conundrum, was one Raiden Ei with Miko sporting her usual sly grin next to her.

"What the hell happened?" Was all he could muster out watching the spectacle.

"Do you want the short version or the long one, Child?"

The fact that there was an option…

With a heavy sigh, mildly surprised the girls haven't noticed his presence, he answers.

"If I choose the short, I feel you'll leave out the important bits. If I choose long, then you may overdramatize everything that actually happened."

"Would I though~?"

"Do you enjoy chaos?"

"Yes~." She purs without hesitation.

"Then yes." He deadpans though he doesn't feign the smile from her usual antics he's come to respect and adore. "Ei?" He decides.

"Hmm…"

"She's been like this ever since we all woke up. Humming away while the others went to play. Ooh, that's a nice line I could use." From her sleeve, a tiny book with a pin attached.

About to open his mouth to respond, he doesn't. Miko was a writer and inspiration came at random increments. That much he understood.

"Did you encounter someone, Relon?" Ei asks, finally lifting up with a curious tint in her eyes. In doing so, they gain the mirthful kitsune's full attention.

Immediately, the other "Raiden's" words come to mind.

"I did. Though they didn't give any answers to my past. Before I could question anything further, they were gone."

"Oh? A mysterious being whose own character gives nothing to our protagonist." Miko muses jotting down in her book. "Interesting..."

"Indeed." Ei nods. "Very well. If nothing of use has resurfaced, then there is little need to ponder further."

He didn't have to be direct with his answer. Only give enough information alluding to any further inspection.

If he sensed that Raiden as a threat, no matter how little he sensed or believed, he'd spill everything. However, her being as a whole told him she was an ally. Whether simply a fragment of his memory or something else entirely. His gut told him she harbored only an endearing heart for Ei.

"Speaking of endearing, is Qiqi still asleep? I also don't see the others."

"She went upstairs to Razor. They are likely still resting. That or they're opting for the smart move and remaining upstairs until the ruckus dies down. But before you go, aren't you forgetting something?" At her question, she leans pressing her side into Ei who blinks at her before looking to Relon expectantly.

"Am I?" He tilts.

"Ugh, get a clue Child. What time is it?"

"... Oh."

"Yes. Oh." She relaxes next to an amused Ei. "From the top."

"Pfft, what is this? Acting class? Morning Miko. Morning Ei."

"Hmpf, better. And there are only two candidates capable of carrying out a circus act."

"Three if you count yourself." Relon smirks.

"I am in agreement."

"Wha. You! And you!" Twitching her eye, Miko can only cross her arms and pout. "Tch, why do I even bother?"

"Haha, you know we give you all of the respect Miko."

"Judging by the delightful scents, it shouldn't be long before breakfast is served."

"'Kay."

Peering over the corner at the still chaos, he can only chuckle. His girls certainly made any moment of the day eventful. That much was certain.

Flanking around and up, only seconds pass before he faces the long corridor. Stopping at Qiqi's room, he knocks.

"Come in."

Doing so, he's greeted to the sight of Razor patiently seated on the carpet. Over and behind him lies one dormant Qiqi. He couldn't hide his mirthful snort at the sight.

"She really came up just to take it." He notes taking a seat next to the wolfboy.

"Some things don't change." Razor shakes in defeat.

"So it wasn't just me she did it to then, huh?"

"No. She do it to you most of all. If you're not able, she go to Hu Tao or myself."

"Ahh…"

Leaning back against the bed, Relon noticed he hadn't originally took in the small room. A blue carpet, some random photos of himself and Qiqi alongside the girls. A small shelf of nursery books, some drawers where clothing likely lies, and purplish drapes covering the morning sun.

"There's not much in here." He absently notes.

"No. There more than meet eyes." Arching a brow with a slight tilt, he watches as Razor crawls over to one of the drawers before pulling what seems like a stack of paper. "Look but do not alarm Qiqi."

If Razor's worryful expression combined with his hushed voice was anything to go off of, whatever he found wasn't something Relon would like.

[Certificate of Adoption]

This document hereby certifies that

Qiqi

Has been formally adopted by

The Lucinance Family

On the 3rdday of March Year 20XX

Down below… the signature of Relon Tarbin Lucinance.

"Razor…" Peeling his eyes from the protagonist's shaky grip on the sheet, their eyes do not meet. "Does the name Columbina ring any bell?" A careful shake comes from the boy. "I see…"

"Relo-

"I'm fine." He breathes an unsteady breath loosening his grip on the paper. "Really." Despite saying that, Relon couldn't shake the ill taste as he flipped through the rest of the registration stopping at Qiqi's medical records.

"How?"

"I'll… explain downstairs." He sighs once again, rising back up. "Let's give Qiqi some peace and quiet." Nodding, he follows after the departing male.

Closing the door, he heads over knocking on the door.

"It's open." The muffled voice of Chongyun calls.

Entering, they find said exorcist at the kotatsu with his talismans and Kaeya seated at the desk.

"Well, good morning gentlemen."

"Hello Razor, Lor- I mean Relon." Thank

"Good Morning."

"Morning guys, how'd you sleep?"

"Quite well. COmpliments to our wonderful host."

"Really good. Honestly, I haven't slept that well in a while so it was quite refreshing after everything yesterday."

"What are you guys up to?"

"We woke up not that long ago so nothing at the moment."

"The girls?" Relon and Razor wonder.

"The girls." Both cryos nod.

"Ah… sorry about that."

"You needn't apologize. It's rather refreshing having so much chaos."

"You mean the non-life threatening kind right?" Chongyun asks to receive a silent, coy, grin from the one-eyed male. "You mean the, ahem, non-life threatening kind… right?"

"Someone's Rosaria is showing." Relon chuckles eyeing the pale exorcist.

"Haha, nothing wrong with some playfulness every now and then. After all, it is just us guys for the moment."

Blinking, Kaeya's truthful words dawned on the demigod.

"Oh… you're right." For an unrecognizable feeling, he felt safe.

It may have been due to being in the presence of males that could support his worries or the simple face he was in his room. Maybe both. Regardless…

"We need more moments like these."

"What do you mean, Relon?"

"Knowing my future luck with the girls, chaos will likely follow. Right?" All three nod.

"Before we commence our assault on the Cryo Archon, we should try to get together and do something."

"A boys' day out so to speak. Interesting. I think that will be quite enjoyable indeed."

"Count me in! It'll be a nice change of pace once we transition into our preparations."

"Razor?" Relon looks to the last vote of their future plans.

"No need to ask."

"Haha, I figured. Alright, it's settled. We're treating ourselves to some guy time once everyone has comfortably gotten used to Inazuman life."

Some time with guys will do good for overall morale too. With us gone, maybe the girls will get some good use out of it too. Hm. Speaking of…

"Hey, Kaeya, Chongyun, question."

"Ask away."

"So who all are we up against?"

"That is important, isn't it?" Kaeya muses to receive nods from the two electros. "Of course, there's the Tsaritsa herself."

"Andrius too." Razor chimes in.

"The other lieutenants and generals like Shenhe." Chongyun voices.

"Shenhe… What are some of the other lieutenants like?"

"Freminet uses a claymore like Eula and I. His skills are on par with my own but his elemental mastery over Cryo isn't the best."

"So what's his strong suit?"

"He's a diver." Kaeya answers.

"He swim?" Razor blinks.

"Yes. The best out of anyone, even Eula."

"It doesn't stop there. His cryo mastery may not be great, but the amount of control he has underwater is on another level."

"Wait, wait, wait." Relon pauses. "Are you both implying he can swing a cryo-infused blade bigger than Chongyun underwater? I know physics works differently in water but still!"

"Yes." Both nod.

"Oh boy…" Relon breathes out taking a seat on his bed with Razor popping down next to him. "That… can be a problem. So how does Cryo underwater even work?"

"It depends. If I were to encase my blade in ice, it would last minutes before I would need to recoat it. Relon, you recall the times I've spewed large shields of ice, no?"

"Yeah."

"Should I wish to attempt that underwater, even at pointblank, the damage would be minimal if even that. I would have to unleash all my energy just to maintain both its form and velocity. As my style of fighting revolves around a balance of physical attacks and cryo applications, being in the water ill suits me."

"Freminet's control is weak so he has no need to worry about applying cryo. He has to only strengthen his weapon. Given his style is up close and personal like mine, his skills in the water is what makes him so formidable. He even wears a reinforced diver's helmet so attacks to the head are not advised."

"What about on land?" Razor wonders.

"He's much more vulnerable there but the problem is any battle taking place, he'll already be near a body of water. A large part of our victories over the Hydro Army are because of him."

"As an Electro, should one of us fall into his trap, they'd be vulnerable without electrocuting themselves." Relon murmurs.

"Not only that, but he could simply encase himself in a shield of ice should an Electro attempt such. Though his shield isn't as defined and sturdy as one with a Vision."

"So it's still vulnerable to physical attacks…"

"Ice in water still melts." Chongyun takes over. "He has to reinforce his own attacks right before impact to gain the best possible results. He would be at his weakest both on land or right before he can launch an attack as his focus goes into his claymore."

I knew that there were skilled fighters amongst the Cryo Army just from meeting everyone here but to go against someone able to freely fight in the water, not to mention isn't a part of the Hydro Army then that's a new threat all by itself.

"Who else is there?"

"Layla is another one to watch out for."

Eyes going to the door, all take in the sight of Rosaria leaning against the frame. Entering, she seats herself at the kotatsu.

"Who is she?"

"She was a Night Operative alongside myself."

"I take it you both like to fight at night." Relon quips.

"Silent but deadly is a motto I live by."

"Noted."

"Layla wields a sword. Her skills in the open are subpar."

"What makes her strong?"

"Well, Wolfy, it'd have to be her personality." At that, both Relon and Razor furrow at the mention. "Consider herself another Fischl. Personality and all.'"

"She has two personalities?"

"Yeah. Deep contrast."

"How different are we talking?"

"One would sacrifice themselves to protect a crystal fly from a hurricane."

"And other?"

"They wouldn't hesitate to torture the Tsaritsa if given the opportunity."

"... Duly noted. What are her abilities like?"

"She excels at one-on-one fights. So much so that she toys with her victims. She has knowledge equal to mine of the human body so she knows where to aim and for what effect. Her main ability is to conjure a transparent shield around her."

"What's its gimmick?"

"It fires homing projectiles."

"... A shield that protects and attacks. Why wasn't she apart of the assault on Inazuma?"

"Because it's easier to reinforce one spot rather than multiple for her. That and her style is similar to mine. Not meant for large numbers."

"Now that we bring it up, someone should be tasked with securing the prisoners." Kaeya notes.

"Prisoners?"

"We have a jail for soldiers belonging to the other nations that were either captured or have surrendered."

"Captured? You mean there are various elemental users being held captive?"

"Possibly." Chongyun grimaces.

"Why do you say that?"

"What cause be?"

"Wriothesley."

"Another person to watch out for?" At his question, nods come.

"His status as the warden puts him on equal footing as Shenhe and the late McGruff."

"Combat-wise too." Chongyun adds. "He's all close-range with a high affinity for the Cryo element."

"What he fight with? Sword? Polearm? Bow?"

"Gauntlets." Kaeya answers.

"Oh?"

"That definitely requires closeness."

"It helps him given he also has the new vision."

"So he can amplify his attacks to hit even harder… If we're going against fighters like that, then we need to plan accordingly..."

"We still hold advantage."

"Razor's right. We have intel and an elemental advantage."

"Two elements are better than one."

"In the end, it'll still come down to which Archon triumphs."

Feeling all eyes focus on him, Relon can only nod.

"If Ei and I can't defeat Dantalian, then all is lost. We have barely a month, 3 weeks to grasp these abilities of mine."

"No pressure." Kaeya offers. "Do know that we'll help however we can."

"He's right."

"Obviously."

"We stand with Relon."

"Thanks guys."

"I say our odds are quite well." Kaeya mentions. "Worst outcome; we all die. Best outcome; we all live and gain a full nation as an ally." Despite his invigorating words, at least from his perspective, none responded. "What?"

"Rosaria." Relon sighs leaning off as the others sans Rosaria rise to leave. "We'll be downstairs."

"Huh? Where are you all going?" Looking around frantically, his eye goes to Rosaria with a sinister glint.

SNAP!

Snapping to the nun stretching rope, a cold sweat runs down his face.

"H-Hey, let's be civil about this. Cool it!"

"Nothing like a good cleansing first thing in the morning."

From beyond the door, the combinations of slaps, hoots, hollers, and thumping can be heard.

"Good morning, cuties."

Heads turning to the side, they're greeted by Lisa and a groggy Beidou.

About to speak, the visage of his mother stops him short.

Still too soon, brain.

"Teacher, morning."

"Good morning Lisa, Beidou." Chongyun greets.

"Did you two sleep well."

"Mhmm. Though it would have been better with either of you or Qiqi." Lisa hums giving a small stretch. "You three make falling asleep much easier."

"Teacher, too early for teasing."

"Fufufu, it's never to early to show my adoration for you two~. Don't worry Chongyun, I haven't forgotten you."

"Um, I think I'm okay with you forgetting." He sweatdrops.

"So who's suffering in there?" Beidou points with her thumb.

"Kaeya."

"Ah…" Both voices.

"Shall we head downstairs? Qiqi's still sleeping."

"Yes. I would be lying if I wasn't curious how breakfast turned out. I know a certain someone is excited~."

"Please stop, Lisa." Relon whines to receive supportive pats from the boys.

Returning downstairs, an aroma of layered scents hits his nose.

"Whoa…"

Past the living room towards the kitchen lies a series of long tables with assortments of delicacies atop it. Each connects into the formation of a square where an icy surface lies at the epicenter.

"Ta-da~."

Refocusing on the batch of women, Relon's eyes widen at the Pyro diving arms first his way.

"H-Hey!" He shouts catching the girl as her momentum forces them into a single twirl.

"Teehee, good morning~."

"Can you not surprise me like that every time?" He twitches an eye.

"Hehe- Huh? Hey!" She gasps to be pulled by the collar by Keqing.

"You just can't keep your hands off him, can you?" She bats the Pyro an eye. "Breakfast and business first, flirting can come later."

"O-ya, dost thou darest to intervene in my daily ritual with thine beloved?" She blinks attempting to wring herself free to no avail. "Hey Fischl, I think that was my best impersonation of you yet, hehe."

"HUH?! HOW DARE YOU USE MY NICKNAME FOR RELON!"

"LET'S NOT erupt anymore chaos, please." Exchanging looks, Hu Tao smirks as Keqing can only sigh letting go while Fischl mumbles to herself. "Good morning everyone."

"How are you feeling?" Sara asks.

"Fine now. I had all last night to sort my thoughts."

"Well, there's no time like the present." Eula comments. "There is much to go over."

"Shouldn't we wait for Rosaria and Kaeya?" Ayaka wonders.

"They're… preoccupied at the moment." Chongyun mumbles, scratching his cheek.

"Kaeya?" Ganyu muses.

"Kaeya." The group answers.

"Ah…" The cryo girls voice.

"Don't worry, we're not missing this."

At the familiar voice, all look at the stairs to see Rosaria come waltzing down with a tied up Kaeya sporting several bruises.

"Good morning… ahem, everyone!" The injured man greets through a forced smile. "Would any of you be so kind as to untie me so I can cool this headache I have?"

"I'm amazed he can even talk." Relon murmurs.

"At this point, Kaeya has practically become Rosaria's torture dummy." Chongyun responds.

"He's spoken out that much?" Relon mildly gawks. "I don't know whether to be surprised or not…"

"All we're missing now is Qiqi." Oz states.

In response, Razor and Ei peer at Relon. Walking past with a neutral expression, he takes his seat at the middle of a table.

"We can get started." He answers swiftly, placing the documents from earlier in front of him. "There's something we need to go over."

One Reading Later

"Well now, even I didn't expect something like this." Miko muses, placing the sheet down.

"No one could have." Ei corrects.

"You adopted Qiqi? Come on, there's not one bit of logic here. You're too young to have done such a thing."

"I am with Beidou." Oz speaks. "You would require the age of adulthood to do such a thing as caring for another life."

"Relon…"

"I'm fine, Hu Tao. Honest."

"What's on your mind?" Sara asks.

"What isn't?" He sighs leaning in his chair.

"Let's start from somewhere." Keqing offers. "Anywhere even. Then we can start piecing together the bits that we know."

"Hmm… Would any of you happen to know if I have another sister? Or a place called Earth? Or anything about the girl that knocked me out?"

With each question, the neutral expression of everyone goes from bewildered to quizzical and then to affirmative.

"Aside from Shenhe as the closest, no." Hu Tao denies.

"I can only surmise from our findings of this home that the location itself is this 'Earth' that you speak of." Ganyu adds. "Whether that is indeed another planet or a hidden piece of land yet to be discovered remains to be seen."

"Regarding Arlecchino, Qiqi told us while you were out that during your trek out of Snezhnaya you both encountered her." Lisa explains.

"That matches with the memory I regained of her… Ugh, nothing makes sense. I didn't recall who Hu Tao or Shenhe even were until I woke up here. Then I absentmindedly try to make this plane's Hu Tao appear only to get Arlecchino. Now there's the possible idea of Qiqi not being my sister but rather someone named Columbina. I'm starting to believe I do come from another world with how nonsensical this sounds."

"If that is true, then the question becomes why you didn't reveal something like that to us?" Miko wonders when looking at Ei.

"If you're insinuating what I think, then the answer is no."

"Oh, come now. You've done worse." The kitsune deadpans. "Looking into the boy's memories isn't even that taboo. Besides, you're the one holding onto them anyway."

"Miko, I've done a lot of things I regret. Hence why I am trying not to go down that road again."

"It would make all of our lives easier including your new lover's~."

"No."

"Pfft, oh well. I tried, Relon."

"It's fine, Miko. I don't want Ei to do something she has no like towards." He says earning a thankful nod from Ei. "Regardless of whatever this is." He gestures towards the scattered adoption documents. "It holds little meaning today. I remember raising Qiqi so she's my sister. Whether by blood or not."

"Truer words cannot be spoken, Lil bro."

"These manifestations only tell of possible links to my past. Not everything is concrete. So I'm taking anything moving forward with both care and caution."

"Good." Keqing nods having collected the pile. "It wouldn't do for you to be out like a light after every single surprise."

"Now we can-"

"Mmm…"

Caught mid sentence, the weary yawn Relon Lucinance has familiarized himself with rings aloud. Peering back and towards the staircase, the slow creak in tandem with a pitter-patter announces the last member of their group.

Touching down, she attempts to stifle another loud yawn to the adult's amusement.

Looking at the dozen eyes on her, Qiqi pays no mind walking towards her brother. Blinking and smiling at her antics, his eyes buck wide as the girl pulls his chair back with ease. Smile gone, his brain can only process the sudden occurrence as Qiqi proceeds to walk over next to him.

"Hup." She sounds hopping onto his lap before looking around once again at her friends and family. "Good… morning everyone." She lazily greets.

"Good morning, Qiqi." Ayaka greets. "Did you sleep well?"

"Mhmm… Did I… miss something…?"

"Nope." Relon smiles resting his chin atop her head. "Nothing important at all, Sis. Ready?" Reaching for a glass of milk, she nods taking a swig. "Alrighty then, let's wrap this meeting up. It goes without saying that unlike any other army, we're not fighting to gain control over Teyvat."

"A plague has ravished the very land we walk amongst." Fischl speaks up. "We must cleanse it before a greater evil dares to twist our way of life even further."

"To do that, you all know what must be done no?" Miko speaks in a knowing tone with closed eyes.

All nod.

"No more being on the defensive." Keqing answers.

"It goes without saying that the enemy has finally found ways to bypass Inazuma's waters." Beidou quips. "If we were to wait any longer, it would spell the end of us."

"We've fought back the waves." Sara begins. "Now it's our turn to commence the assault."

"The Harbingers, these malevolent entities warping our cognition…" Eula seethes. "We'll dismember them piece by piece if we must!"

"Our homes, the native civilians we've grown alongside…" Ganyu breathes, clenching a hand to her chest. "They've taken away our very own memories and manipulated what we've cherished. We cannot allow such actions to go on!"

"There are enemies that we've both fought with and against." Rosaria states. "That doesn't mean any fight will be a walk in the park. We need union and collaboration if we want to make it through our next battle. But more than that, we need faith."

"The longer this war goes on, the more lives will be lost and strife spread." Ayaka speaks next. "Almight Shogun, Relon, please, use my blade to bring about an end to this chaos."

"Mine too!"

"I too!"

"Seems we're on the same page." Miko mutters.

"We already were." Ei retorts. "Relon's words spurred everyone forward as he's done plenty before."

"That innate ability to draw people together is a gift unlike any other." Lisa muses. "As is his stubbornness, teehee."

"No more pain." Qiqi speaks with balled hands. "No more…"

"Yeah…" Relon takes back the reigns easing the child. "No more. While I was walking, I had time to think about a lot of things. Now that we've gained Cryo, we're no longer just the Electro Army. So I thought that if our goal is to unite the nations, why not proclaim ourselves as the Elemental Alliance?"

"The Elemental Alliance, hmm?" Miko hums. "The name is rather bland for my taste but-"

"I love it!" Hu Tao beams cutting the yokai off. "It represents exactly what we're fighting for!"

"Ahem, yes." Miko coughs. "The Funeral Director took the words right out my mouth."

"I like it."

"Same."

"I'm in agreement."

One by one, the voices piled atop another until all were one.

"Alright, then-"

"WAIT!" Hu Tao exclaims shooting to her feet.

"Do you wait to cut people off or something?" Keqing barks with mild annoyance.

"We almost forgot!"

"Forgot what…?" Qiqi wonders as both Lucinances tilt their heads.

"The roll call! Duh!"

For a moment, none respond.

"Oh." Ei simply says breaking the awkward silence. "We did agree to that."

"Hehe, we had to wait because of Eula but now that our ever-vigilant vengeance addict has returned, we can do it!"

"Vengeance what?"

"Leave it to that child to take away the serious air with something as aloof as a name game." Miko speakers through a chortle.

"Hey! This is a momentous occasion! Consider this the first meal as the Elemental Alliance! Now, come on everyone!"

"Kill me." Rosaria mutters.

"No can do. I suffered and now it's your turn." Kaeya smiles for the nun to bat him a glare. "Who shall start us off?" He quickly inquires keeping Rosaria's twitching hand down at her side.

"Why not our dear Relon and Qiqi?" Lisa says. "After all, they are two of a pod. Start with one, end with the other."

"O-ya? I agree!"

All eyes directing their way for the umteenth time, Relon looks down as Qiqi peers up.

"Wanna lead us off, Sis?"

"'Kay."

"Then let the roll call begin!" Hu Tao declares with a pumped fist.

"Qiqi."

"Chongyun."

"... Rosaria."

"Kaeya."

"Ayaka Kamisato."

"Ganyu."

"Eula Lawrence."

"Beidou."

"Lisa."

"Fischl and Oz."

"Keqing."

"Razor."

"Hu Tao."

"Sara Kujou."

"Yae Miko."

"Raiden Ei."

"And last but certainly not least~..."

"Relon Tarbin Lucinance."

"Then from this point forward, I hereby declare the Elemental Alliance formed."

With a resounding cheer, the banquet began as chatter quickly entered. Watching the ice surface be used to pass foods back and forth, a small tug brings Relon from his thoughts.

Looking down, a small loaf of bread meets his lips. Feeling that familial warmth he's missed, he opens to munch.

Ruffling Qiqi's hair, the girl exudes a small hum.

"Relon, would you like to have a pancake?" Eula asks, sliding a plate forward.

"How about something he actually likes. Like waffles. Something far superior."

"Excuse me?!"

"I didn't stutter!"

"Hey, there's no need to-"

"Aya, aya, to watch two souls bicker, whatever are we to do~. Anywho, Relon, you gotta have my mysterious omelet- H-Hey, Razor!"

"Oh no you don't." Razor sighs, pulling said Pyro away.

"I wanted to feed Relon…!" Hu Tao grumbles.

"Not happening." The girls state in unison.

"Would you like some whipped cream with those, my chosen?"

"Relon, if it's not too much trouble, I made a special herbal salad with the addition of Qingxin flowers that I would like you to try."

"That would go great with the steamed rice and soup I made." Ayaka smiles alongside her fellow maiden.

"Um…"

"Have some special toast I made, Beloved. It's to your liking just as when you left."

"You may not remember but your special tea was a favorite of ours." Keqing smiles, carefully pushing a beverage towards the crowd of food. "I've been training my own craft to reach your level so I hope you like it."

As chatter took the reins, Relon noticed several things in the moment. The jovial smiles the older women sported, the ensuing chaos from the younger females, the sympathetic expressions the guys gave plus the irksome look Rosaria sported.

Somehow, in the span of what little time he could recall, such moments had become a treasured part of his renewed life.

The serenity moments like these bring. Such things are what we yearn to experience. With experience comes the wanting to protect. My friends, my loved ones, my family. Both new and old…

Peering down to the sister he's known all his memorable life, she looks up with those same curious eyes. Lifting up to the eager eyes of the women that have captured his heart, anxiety is not present.

"Continue to look after Ei for me, Relon."

Despite his impending fate, the happiness the air held was something he wouldn't trade for anything. The smile that laced Ei's face was something that their connection didn't have to convey.

He'd protect her. The same as Qiqi. The same as their family. The same as their home.

This may be our first meal together but it won't be our last. This I swear.

A/N: Relon claims Lynette. This is not a spoiler. This was simply something bound to happen.

AndyKurosaki98 It's baaaaaaack!

Somewhat, lol. Much slower updates but it's birthday month so may as well get the more known stories uploaded before I span yall's inboxes with other new ones XD. No need to feel bad, you and everyone reading is more than enough. I SWEAR FISCHL'S SECTION WAS LONGER THAN I PLANNED TO WRITE! One of best girls easily needs a hug. Relon's harem is official. He has accepted it quite easily too. As for Ganyu... hehe. Who knows~.
