Off To Tahiti Part 2
"Sorry, Rosa." Flip and Scooter said in unison.
Alan M. looked over at the Chan family.
"No problem," Alan M. said to the two youngest boys in the Chan family. "we would be happy to perform for your restaurant's patrons."
"You would really do that," Rosa asked Alan M. "to save my family's business?"
"Anything for our friends." Alexander said.
"Josie," Alan M. said. "you, Melody, and Val go change, this is going to be a big night!"
Once Josie, Melody, and Valerie changed into their band suits, they began to play as more customers began to arrive and sit down to dine.
Josie cleared her throat and began to sing.
Josie: Inside, outside, upside down;
You got me going round and round;
Backwards, forwards, sideways too;
You got me dizzy from a-loving you;
Don't you know that I love you;
But I don't know what to do;
You got to me;
Now why can't you see;
I've got to get to you;
Inside, outside, upside down;
Got to get my feet back on the ground;
Baby won't you treat me right;
Valerie & Melody: Now, now, now;
Josie: Gotta get some-a your loving tonight;
Don't you know that I love you;
But I don't know what to do;
You got to me;
Now why can't you see;
I've got to get to you;
Don't you know that I love you;
But I don't know what to do;
You got to me;
Now why can't you see;
I've got to get to you;
Valerie: Come on now;
Josie: Don't you know that I love you;
But I don't know what to do;
You got to me;
Now why can't you see;
I've got to get to you;
Melody: Everybody;
Josie, Valerie, and Melody: Don't you know that I love you;
But I don't know what to do;
You got to me;
Now why can't you see;
I've got to get to you.
At the end of the gig, the other customers paid for their meals and the great show that had been put on by Josie and the Pussycats.
The customers went home.
Anne asked for a box so she could take her leftover pene and garlic sauce to Alan who was still stuck in bed with a nasty cold.
An hour later, Josie was in the bedroom that was next to Alexander's because she decided to trade with Alexandra.
Josie could hear moaning and mumbling a few doors over.
"Oh, no!" Josie shouted, sitting in her bed bolt upright.
Over in her bedroom, Anne heard the same moaning and mumbling sounds that Josie had heard.
"Alan!" Anne exclaimed.
Before too long, Anne and Tom were met by the six human members of the Pussycats singing group outside of Alan's bedroom.
"Atsui!" Anne and Tom heard Alan moan from inside his bedroom.
"You heard that too, didn't you?" Alan M. asked Anne and Tom.
"We certainly did, Marco." Tom answered Alan M.
"Could it be Joe's fever?" Josie asked.
"Alexander, Valerie, Tom, and I are going in," Anne said. "the rest of you wait out here."
Anne, Tom, Alexander, and Valerie ran into Alan's bedroom.
"Cheetah... Cheetah..." Alan mumbled.
"It's okay, Buddy," Anne reassured Alan. "I'm right here by your side."
