(A/N) Hey everyone, I really don't have much to say this time. This chapter was inspired by my desire to dive deeper into all of the girls characters including Mei and Kinoko. Special thanks to my beta readers Silenthorse, gamer_kid1609, and Zurgboy2 once again. Their help is deeply appreciated. Hope you all enjoy!
"Oh Izuku~ wake up~" Izuku heard Kinoko playfully sing as he slowly started waking up. He was exhausted and his eyelids felt like they weighed a hundred tons. He hadn't woken up this tired in awhile, not since the last time he and his girlfriends— oh that's right! Last night got….passionate after the day the three had.
Shortly after he and Mitsuki cooked lunch for everyone they came to the sight of everyone mingling and having a good time. Well all except for Shinso who looked pouty as Yanagi snuggled with Azazel and a tranquil smile on her lips as she talked with Kinoko and Camie.
As everyone ate lunch, his classmates were gifted with the sight of Azazel doing his scarf impersonation on Izuku. It wasn't a very good one as he kept swapping who's neck he hung around, much to everyone's delight. Izuku was sure Azazel knew exactly what he was doing, which he just found hilarious since he kept acting like he'd hop on one person, only to hop on someone else. To no one's surprise, some of the girls started asking Izuku if Azazel could be the class pet.
His rebuttal of 'you ask that like he's going to give me a choice on the matter.' Earned him a bunch of laughter and squee's as well as a few hugs. Apparently none of those that hugged him had noticed his avoidance of touching them until Pony noticed how he stiffened up when she took her turn. She was very quick to apologize for invading his personal space, quickly followed by more when they noticed how uncomfortable he was.
Obviously Izuku forgave them instantly, it's not like he blamed them to begin with. He was forced to explain that due to how people viewed his quirk, he has an aversion to touch until he really knows the person. Though he also wouldn't be upset if they forgot, it was something he needed to work on anyways if he wanted to be a hero.
Hagakure being a person who shows her affection through physical touch was a bit saddened by the revelation. So she openly declared that she would get Izuku to love her hugs by semester's end. It was followed by Ashido joining the declaration. The determination and friendly smiles they gave made him feel warm inside.
Sadly the moment passed quickly as Shiozaki walked into the kitchen. The moment her eyes landed on Azazel she started freaking out. Even going as far as throwing holy water on him, which Izuku had no doubt she had it on hand for him.
Well Azazel isn't the type to run from water, instead it only annoys him. So it shocked Shiozaki when Azazel simply glared at her and made a noise voicing his displeasure. It shocked everyone who didn't know Azazel even more when he simply walked up next to her, shook whatever water off he could in her direction. Then as if nothing happened he walked up to his next perch, which he decided should be Kodai and just went back to lounging.
Shiozaki did end up in trouble for what she did, but Izuku secretly asked his mom to go easy on her since it was just water. So she was given dish duty for two days. Strangely enough, she took the punishment without complaint and was oddly quiet. Something about the way she was acting during their talk fired off alarm bells in Aizawa's head, she just wasn't sure why. So she decided to keep an eye on her, and see if Hound Dog might have any insight.
After the whole debacle with Shiozaki, Iida ended up spotting Azazel. She looked ready to go on a tirade of her own, but once her eyes landed on Izuku, she stopped dead in her tracks. Taking a deep breath she calmed down before asking if the cat was allowed. Confirmation from Mitsuki definitely knocked the wind out of her sails, yet she still didn't seem pleased.
Bakugo ended up being the biggest surprise when she met Azazel. She ended up meeting Azazel on her way down to the common room where no one was around. Izuku didn't know when he went upstairs, but he was outside his room about to enter when Bakugo passed by going downstairs. He was stunned seeing her carrying and petting him with a peaceful smile on her face.
Since Bakugo is pretty perceptive, she noticed Izuku easily. When she stopped stock still staring at him, he fully expected her to yell and scream, maybe even threaten him. What happened instead is she gently put Azazel down, stomped over to him, and put a finger in his face while growling out a demand that he saw nothing. Not wanting to stir the pot, Izuku emphatically nodded his head. That seemed to placate her as she stormed downstairs without another word.
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful, just a bunch of very confused girls when they tried something Mei made. They all questioned how croquettes ended up tasting like strawberry ice cream. They didn't even look different from ordinary croquettes. Intelli almost seemed to be losing her mind as she tried to understand. Izuku and Kinoko on the other hand were on the couch trying to keep their laughter under control. When Ashido said they would make for an awesome prank, the two couldn't contain it any longer.
To help Mei feel better, after getting his laughter under control, Izuku kissed her on the cheek before taking a big bite of a croquette. He said it once he'll say it again. She's not a bad cook, you just don't know what you're getting until you take that first bite. The girls were still a bit wary of the food, but Izuku's lack of reluctance as he continued to eat convinced them they were safe at least.
That night Izuku fully expected to go straight to sleep again. He was exhausted from everything that happened, but Mei and Kinoko had a different idea. The two felt he could use some release to help feel better. It didn't take much convincing. Or any convincing for that matter. That night they let themselves fall into the throes of passion.
"Wake up sleepy head." Sang Kinoko before squeaking as Izuku suddenly pulled her in closer and gave her a kiss.
"Five more minutes. Too comfy." Said Izuku groggily before gently tightening his embrace around her and Mei who was still sleeping on his chest.
There was a couple seconds of silence before he heard Kinoko giggle which made him smile. "As much as I'd love to, we have stuff to do today. You have your appointment with Hound Dog and that date with Nejire afterwards."
"Aren't you planning to make it official with her today?" Asked Mei sleepily without moving from her spot.
Memories of his discussion with the two of them about said topic started returning as his brain slowly rebooted. "Yeah that's the plan." He said. Turning to look at the alarm clock, he noticed it was already 9 A.M. before turning back and closing his eyes again. Not late enough he'd have to rush, but he needed to start getting ready. "How is it that late already?" He asked no one in particular, still without moving.
"Well we did get pretty…. Active last night." Giggled Kinoko.
"That's putting it mildly. I could barely feel my legs by the time we went to sleep." Added Mei before slowly giving Izuku a kiss on the cheek. "Not that I'm complaining."
"I guess that means you're going to want a repeat performance tonight." Said Izuku feeling a surge of confidence in his still sleep-addled mind. The giggles he heard kept him at ease when his brain caught up to his mouth.
"Oh more than just tonight. Tonight, tomorrow night, and many nights after that" Said Mei, her tone becoming more sultry despite the obvious fatigue in her voice.
"And maybe even throw in some mornings from time to time." Said Kinoko teasingly as she lightly dragged a finger from the base of his dick all the way to the tip.
The stimulus from his girlfriends action was enough to jolt his brain fully awake as his hips instinctively tried to follow her hand. Now wide awake he takes a look at his girlfriends who were giving half lidded smirks. Once again he looked at the time, trying to run the math in his head. "We're gonna have to make it quick and shower at the same time." He said as he started getting up, earning even more giggles.
50 minutes later*
"Bye! I'll see you later!" Izuku half yelled up the staircase as he rushed down. The sudden noise caught everyone's attention, watching as Izuku literally ran and grabbed an apple before rushing out the door.
"No running indoors!" Yelled Iida just as Izuku closed the door.
"Seriously Iida? You have got to stop acting like the rules police." Said Setsuna exasperated. She was already sick of the girl.
"Especially when it comes to rules that don't even exist." Said Mei as she and Kinoko walked downstairs with content smiles.
"But it's improper to…." Iida started to protest before she was interrupted by Mitsuki.
"Iida sweetie, I'm sorry but I have to agree with them. You aren't in any position of authority. Leave rule enforcement to those who do." Said Mitsuki gently, but with an expression only a mother could make that said this wasn't a discussion or a request.
"Yes ma'am" said Iida respectfully as she gave a perfect ninety degree bow.
Mitsuki let out a silent sigh at the sight. It felt weird to her to have a young girl not argue with her. Still, they triggered something inside her. Walking up to Iida, she put a hand on the girl's shoulder, prompting her to stand up straight. "I know I'm not your mother, but I'd like to give you some motherly advice. You might want to figure out why you're so overly strict with rules and what you view as improper. Otherwise you're going to end up ostracizing yourself, and when you grow up to be my age, you'll look around and find no one standing with you." She said quiet enough for only Iida to hear, with a tone that expressed that she truly cared.
"Y-yes ma'am." Said Iida in near a whisper as her eyes shot open wide. The reaction troubles Mitsuki as she sees the inner battle Iida was facing through her eyes. She'll need to speak to Aizawa about her suspicions. And maybe Hound Dog as well.
Seeing the girl's struggle, Mitsuki gave her a caring smile and squeezed her shoulder reassuringly. "If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm more than happy to listen." She assured.
Iida was silent for a few seconds before stiffly nodding her head. "Thank you ma'am." She said quietly before she made her way to her room.
Mitsuki let out another silent sigh, though this time out of worry. Her motherly instinct told her to follow her and try to get her to open up. Sadly it wasn't her place. She wasn't the girl's actual mother, so it wasn't her place to step in unless she felt the situation was dire. So after shooting Aizawa a quick text, she decided it was best to mingle a bit, try and get to know the girls so she could make this place feel like a real home to them.
And she knew just which two to start with.
Mitsuki walked into the kitchen where several girls were preparing themselves some food. Including the two she was looking for. "So Mei, Komori, why was Izuku in such a hurry." She asked teasingly, garnering the attention of everyone nearby, despite them continuing about their own business. She knew exactly why, it was pretty obvious as she knew the signs. She had to suppress a laugh when she saw Kinoko stiffen up.
Mei looked like she was about to say something before a thought seemed to cross her mind and she looked to Kinoko. Seeing the questioning look on Mei's face Kinoko couldn't help but let out a sigh. "Go ahead, it's not like there's anything to be ashamed about. Just just keep the details to the bare minimum." She said.
Now that she had confirmation, Mei turned back to Mitsuki with a large smile. "We were having sex and lost track of time." She said bluntly.
The reaction was instantaneous. Kendo, who happened to be taking a drink at the wrong time, ended up doing a spit take as Mitsuki, Setsuna, and Pony all started busting a gut laughing.
The reaction confused Mei so she turned back to her girlfriend who hadn't stopped what she was doing with another questioning look. "You didn't do anything wrong. Just probably shocked them with how blunt you put it."
Mei just looked at the laughing trio, then Kendo who was coughing and pounding her chest confused before shrugging and going back to cooking.
Shortly after a few girls came into the kitchen to investigate what the ruckus was all about. "What's going on here?" Asked Ashido, sounding more excited than anything.
"Oh nothing major, just Mei being blunt again like yesterday." Chuckled Setsuna as she wiped a tear from her eye. "Girl, you are awesome, you and I are besties now."
"Uh, sure?" Replied Mei confused.
The girls that just entered still looked a bit confused but Ashido recognized something. She walked over to the two and looked them up and down before giving them a smirk. "Ah, so that's what it was about." She said, letting out a small chuckle at the end. "So you three had a fun night?" She teased.
"And morning." Added Mei with no shame. Sadly Kendo didn't seem to learn her lesson the first time as she almost ended up doing another spit take.
"Damn it Mei, I'm trying to drink my coffee here!" Yelled Kendo with a red face. Needless to say there was a lot more laughter that followed.
"So Mei, Komori, we got the tea about your first date yesterday, how about spilling how you met today?" Asked Ashido with stars in her eyes after getting her laughter under control.
The girls became so focused on Mei and Kinoko, they failed to notice Mitsuki stiffening up. She knew the story, and wasn't sure if she should put a stop to it.
Just as Mei turned to speak, Kinoko interrupted her. "Mei, don't forget to give them the warning first." She said, her tone a lot less cheerful than before, confusing and worrying the others.
"Oh. Right." Said Mei sheepishly. "I'm told I should warn people that this isn't a sunshine and rainbows story. So if you're looking for a happy story, we should change topics."
This immediately got everyone's attention. "Wait, so did something bad happen?" Asked Tsuyu worried.
Mei nodded her head in confirmation. "And since this involves Izuku, I'll have to leave out a few details. It's not that he did anything bad, but I'm not sure he'd want that info leaked." She replied, sadness creeping into her voice.
Everyone stayed silent for several seconds with Mitsuki keeping an eye on the girl's reactions. Many looked deeply worried, while others looked unsure if they really wanted to know. When no one moved or said anything, Ashido decided to speak up. "If you don't wanna talk about it, you don't have to."
"Oh it's not that. I'm just told most people don't like these kinds of stories. Especially when they're expecting something happy." Replied Mei with zero hesitation.
Seeing Mei's openness, this time it was Tsuyu that decided to speak up. "Even if it's not a happy story, I would still like to hear it as it seems it turned out alright for the both of you, ribbit." Said Tsuyu.
Hearing those words did help put the others at ease, so they stayed put and just looked at Mei.
"Well if that's what you want." Replied Mei with a shrug as she finished plating her food. "It was just an ordinary day for me, at least back then. I stayed up all night making babies, and my parents telling me I still needed to go to school, the usual. Well I was on my way home when suddenly three biggish mean looking guys grabbed me and pulled me into an alleyway." Continued Mei before taking a bite.
"You were pulled into an alleyway by three guys? Don't tell me they….?" Started Kirishima before her voice died in her throat.
"Had their way with me? No, but that was their intention." Replied Mei. "The whole situation was terrifying, so I screamed for help, only for the leader to grab my face hard enough I thought he'd rip my cheeks. I don't think I'll ever forget the smile he was giving. Thankfully someone heard my scream because next thing I knew Izuku was there demanding they let me go."
"So you met Aizawa when he came to save you?" Asked Yaoyorozu with wide eyes.
"Mhm." She said proudly with a wide smile. "I admit I didn't have much faith he could do anything, he's in way better shape now than he was at the time. But he was also my only hope at the time." She said, purposefully being vague.
"So Aizawa ended up being your knight in shining armor?" Asked Ashido, the stars back in her eyes.
"Yes and no. Aizawa did end up fighting the two lackeys while the leader kept me pinned. He was actually doing really well against them. I don't remember the exact quirks, just that one's fists became stone, and the other was some sort of bladed quirk. But Izuku didn't even throw a single punch. Instead he made them attack each other. They weren't the brightest but they weren't the meathead types either. Izuku just knew how to draw their attacks and he kept himself in between both of them." She said, her pride in Izuku shining.
"That's a pretty risky and difficult strategy, but an effective one if used right." Kendo praised.
"But why didn't he just use his quirk to grab you and run? He showed a lot of speed during the assessment test, and there are laws for such situations." Asked Jirou.
"He couldn't. Remember I was the first to give him Attar, so it was the only option he had. It looked like he was going to win at first, I was surprised and started thinking I was going to be saved, only for the leader to take him out with a sneak attack. He had a fireball quirk that was hot enough it left a third degree burn." Said Mei sadly as the other girls winced.
"So does that mean…?" Yanagi non-asked worry seeping into her voice.
"While Izuku didn't end up winning, he bought enough time for his mom to show up. With two of them weakened, she took them out easily." Replied Mei, assuaging everyone's worry.
"Of course his mom would show up. She seems pretty protective of him." Chuckled Setsuna.
"Oh, that was actually the first time they met too. It was just a happy coincidence that she was on her way home after her patrol when she heard the commotion." Said Mei.
"Wait, so does that mean Izuku was still in foster care at the time?" Asked Kendo. Something about this sounds familiar to her. Enough so that it frustrated her that she couldn't remember.
"Yup. Aizawa took a liking to Izuku, and ended up adopting him not long after." She half lied so convincingly, even Kinoko would have sworn it was the truth if she didn't already know the full story.
"So how did you and Aizawa end up getting so close then? That's not something that usually happens in those kinds of situations." Asked Tsuyu genuinely curious but still hoping to get info to help her future attempts.
"Well I had tried to thank him for helping me. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance on scene, but we ended up going to the same hospital since I ended up getting a concussion when I was slammed into the wall. While there I accidentally overheard a conversation between him and his mom. I can't explain more, but things were rough for Izuku, so I decided to help the man who put his life on the line for me. From there we became very close friends and eventually boyfriend and girlfriend." Said Mei wrapping up the story.
Once again the room went silent as they digested what they heard until a voice cut through the silence. "How are you able to tell us that so calmly, like it doesn't bother you at all?" Asked Kodai, her voice full of concern despite how strained it sounded.
"Simple. Everyday you get the choice, be bogged down by the past, or look to the future. I choose the future." Replied Mei.
"You make it sound so easy." Said Pony, still sounding concerned.
"I said simple, not easy." Said Mei, confusing a majority of the room. "I was scared to go anywhere alone for weeks afterwards, so the only time I went out was for school or to see Izuku. And even then I had my parents take me. I even went on an inventing spree, after a nightmare once. I made my greatest baby that night, but it's also the only one I am not proud of." Said Mei, her voice sounding sad towards the end. Kinoko took hold of one of her hands, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"Why?" Was all Shinso managed to get out.
"It was 100% lethal." Answered Mei, shocking everyone sans Kinoko. "It was a homemade taser gun that could fit in your pocket, but it was so powerful that it was the equivalent of being struck by lightning while wearing a full suit of metal armor." She admitted.
"Damn. I have to admit that's impressive. Scary, but impressive. What did you end up doing with it?" Asked Setsuna.
"I immediately disassembled it after. My mom discovered me in the morning. She managed to calm me down and when I realized what I just invented, I couldn't risk someone actually using it." Said Mei.
"That's understandable, and probably a good call." Said Yanagi thoughtfully.
"So how are you able to choose the future then? I've met plenty of people who tried the same method without any positive results." Asked Mitsuki, feeling protective and wanting as much info as she could in case it's needed.
"Because I know I'm one of the lucky ones. I was rescued before things went too far, and that's not a claim many can make." Answered Mei, few catching the true meaning behind her words.
The atmosphere grew tense, none of them having been mentally prepared for such a story. No one really knew what to say in response, but Setsuna noticed that Mei hadn't stopped eating the entire time. She was treating it like it was no big deal, so she decided to follow her lead. "So the resident stud muffin really is a knight in shining armor huh? Let me guess he rescued Kinoko the day they met?" She said jokingly, releasing some of the tension.
This time Kinoko decided to take charge of the conversation. "I wouldn't say he rescued me, more that we all held our own." She said knowing the bomb she was dropping. She really didn't know what was up with her lately, she's just been enjoying doing these small things to mess with people. Maybe Camie's been a bad influence.
"I'm sorry what?" Asked Jirou incredulously.
"Thankfully it wasn't part of our first introduction. That came later in the day." She continued, suppressing a smirk as she noticed she had everyone's full attention.
"Come on, don't leave us hanging here!" Exclaimed Hagakure.
Unable to hold it in Kinoko let out a little chuckle. "Okay fine. Izuku and I happened to transfer to the same school on the same day. I was very timid back then and had no self confidence, so I was startled when I walked into the Vice principal's office, who also happened to be my mom, and found Izuku. I was rude and stared at first as he was still recovering after protecting Mei. But he didn't hold it against me. Told me he understood and that I didn't need to apologize as well as forgive me all in the same sentence." Said Kinoko, choosing her words very carefully.
"Really? That sounds adorkable." Joked Camie with a giggle as she and Ochako walked into the kitchen having heard all the chatter.
"You're not wrong." Giggled Kinoko. "But back then he was a very nervous guy just like I was, so you could probably imagine the most stereotypical introduction between two nervous people, and you'd have our first meeting."
"I would have bought tickets to see that!" Laughed Setsuna.
"Well I'll spare you the boring repetitive details and just skip to the part about how me and Izuku both end up getting put into the same class as Mei. When we went to meet our sensei, it became obvious very quickly that she wasn't a sensei you'd want." Continued Kinoko, curbing how she really wanted to describe that woman.
"What, was she a bitch?" Asked Pony with an innocent smile, getting a few shocked laughs, having not expected such language from her.
"She was a total bitch!" Dramatically groaned Mei, getting even more laughs as the atmosphere felt like it did a 180 from earlier.
"Well I won't deny that." Said Kinoko between chuckles.
"But I thought you told us that you liked your sensei?" Asked Ochako as she gestured between Camie and herself.
"That sensei yeah, but the one from that day was…. Encouraged to sever ties with the school not long after I started." Said Kinoko in a roundabout way.
"She was shitcanned!" Mei happily announced.
"Ok Mei, calm down. There's no need to be so crude about it." Laughed Kinoko while trying to placate Mei.
"You only had to deal with her for two weeks, and those were her nice weeks. I had to deal with her my entire time there, so I earned the right." Declared Mei.
"Fair enough. She was a nightmare those two weeks." Kinoko relented. "So after we had our meeting we were made to wait in the hallway. After another round of us nervously trying to talk to each other, I found myself thinking he was a nice guy. So during lunch I asked to eat with him and Mei. That's when the first incident happened. There was this girl in class Yuno, the stereotypical egotistical princess that looks down on everyone, yet is still somehow the most popular kid in class."
"Put simply, she was a total cunt." Added Mei.
"Shortly after I joined them for lunch, that girl came over and started putting down Mei and Izuku, saying mean hurtful things, while trying to get me to eat lunch with them." Continued Kinoko. "Well I denied and painted a target on my back. The girl was apparently extremely vindictive, as she and two of her lackeys jumped us after school."
"Jumped again? I'm starting to sense a pattern here." Joked Ashido.
"I mean you're not wrong. It wasn't the last time we were jumped." Said Mei casually, causing the room to go silent again.
The first person to make a move was Ashido as she put her hands together in front of her face as she took a deep breath with her eyes closed. "What the fuck?." She said as she opened her eyes while adjusting her hands to point towards Mei.
"Hey it's not like we asked to keep getting attacked. We just dealt with each situation as they came up as best we could." Argued Mei.
"What are you? Anime protagonists?" Jokingly asked Pony.
"God it feels that way sometimes." Groaned Mei, causing everyone to laugh.
"When we all got dragged into the alley the lackeys had us constrained. I don't even remember anything about them other than the guy holding Mei hurt her, I don't think I even learned their names. What I do remember is that their main target was Izuku." Said Kinoko, continuing the story, happy that the moods had lifted so much.
"Didn't you say it was also his first day? Why would he be targeted?" Asked Yaoyorozu confused.
"Remember the leader from Mei's story?" Asked Kinoko, many eyes went wide in realization. "Turned out that was her older brother. That's likely how the three knew about Mei and why they targeted her."
"That does make sense. So she wanted revenge for defeating her brother?" Asked Yanagi.
"Not entirely. While that was part of it, she said she didn't even like her brother, what really made her upset is she viewed it as Izuku bringing shame to her family name." Replied Kinoko.
"Of course the school's queen bitch would shift the blame." Said Pony with a roll of her eyes.
"I guess their plan was to keep Mei and I restrained while she dealt with Izuku, then they'd move on to us. Just like her brother she had a fireball quirk. I have to admit she was pretty proficient with it, but they didn't expect Izuku to fight back. They were attacking someone still recovering after all. So when Izuku blocked her attack it shocked all of us. Izuku included." Regaled Kinoko, adding a bit of dramatic flare.
"Why was Izuku shocked?" Asked Kirishima.
"Well it was the very first time he used his quirk since it manifested." Answered Kinoko.
"But I thought you said this was a month after he and Mei met? Was he really in such bad shape that he couldn't practice?" Asked Kendo sounding worried.
"He didn't even know he could use his quirk at the time." Answered Mei with a shrug. "Yes I was giving him attar at the time, but it's not like he had any real experience with it. He knew what his quirk required to work, but not how to get it without his gaze of lust. Obviously he wasn't going to go that route, so as far as he knew, he had no attar."
"I guess that's true. It's just hard imagining someone that age not knowing how to use their quirk. Must have been difficult to learn since he likely didn't have the classes we had as children." Responded Kendo thoughtfully, but still with a concerned expression.
"It wasn't easy, that's for sure. There were a lot of big hurdles to get over, but one by one he cleared them. Now he's powerful enough that he could most likely kick all of our asses if he wanted to." Replied Mei nonchalantly.
"I'd be offended by that, if he didn't blow all of us out of the water during the quirk assessment test yesterday." Replied Hagakure.
"I admit, it is a frightful thought to be on the receiving end of one of his abilities." Added Yanagi.
"You won't have to worry about that. His mom was having him use a lot of attar for a single act. If he did that every time, he'd be out within 2 minutes. Though maybe longer now that Nejire is joining." Said Kinoko thoughtfully towards the end.
"I'd imagine having a third girl to give you attar would increase how much you could safely use." Said Yaoyarozu shyly with a blush.
"Oh it is so much more than that." Added Kinoko with a smirk, enjoying all the confused expressions. "His quirk is complicated to put it mildly. But a very simplistic explanation is that the more girls he gains attar from, the more he gains overall. Essentially with just Mei and I, take the attar from whoever gave least, combine an equal amount from the other, then double it. From there add what's left. For every girl added, you repeat the first step but it is stronger. So with Nejire's, you combine an equal amount from all three, then triple it."
"So that means….?" Started a shocked Shinso.
"Every girl that gives him attar makes him exponentially stronger. With enough he'll be able to do what he did during the assessment test without a care about how much he's using. Maybe even surpass that one day." Contributed Mei with a smirk before she took her last bite of food.
Everyone stared at Mei and Kinoko with wide eyes as they processed just how much power Izuku could eventually possess. At least until Ashido shook her head, her tea thirst still not quenched. "Izuku being OP aside, what happened next. I know you said you held your own but how?" She asked, knocking everyone out of their shock.
"Well while energy blasts and fireballs collided in midair, the two holding Mei and I lost their focus. So while they paid attention to the fight, I spread spores to cover the girl holding me in mushrooms. The plan was for it to slow her down but she freaked out, making it much easier to punch her in the face, then I kicked the side of her head. After taking her out, I was going to help Mei, but her captor was defeated too." Kinoko explained.
"I find a boot to the face to be a very effective strategy." Proclaimed Mei proudly, earning a few laughs.
"We wanted to help Izuku after but there wasn't anything we could do. Kinda difficult to help when he ends up overtaking Yuno and defeating her just a few seconds after." Joked Kinoko.
"He explained later about not even knowing how he did that. He couldn't even figure out how to use his quirk again until a few weeks later." Continued Mei. She even went on to explain that Izuku was more concerned about them when he was in the worst shape, even bringing up that he did the same when he saved her.
Everyone was so busy focusing on the story, no one noticed a certain vine-haired girl get off the couch she was practically hiding in after she overheard what they were talking about. Her expression was thoughtful as she quietly made her way upstairs.
"Manly." Whispered Kirishima in awe, making Ashido giggle.
"So he jumped in to rescue you." Said Setsuna teasingly as she pointed to Mei. "Got into a brawl with you." She said pointing to Kinoko, before she gestured to Camie and Ochako. "And you two seem to have known him before. What, did he save you from a giant robot?" She asked jokingly, fully expecting it to land this time. Only for her jaw to drop when Ochako's face started turning red. "No way." She said Gobsmacked.
"Well I haven't been saved from him. At least not yet." Said Camie jokingly. "But what he did for Ura here was fire."
"Giant robot?" Quietly said Tsuyu as that sounded familiar. "Wait, you don't mean he took down the zero-pointer do you?" She asked, astonished.
"Yes." Squeaked Uraraka as she covered her face with her hand in embarrassment, accidentally activating her quirk. Camie merely reached up and grabbed her without looking, and pulled her into a hug to keep her from floating away.
"Zero-pointer? What the heck is that?" Asked Setsuna confused.
"You know, that giant robot during the entrance exam. How could you forget about that thing?" Asked Jirou.
"I uh, I'm kind of a recommended student. So I took a different exam." Admitted Setsuna bashfully.
"Well to put things into perspective, those things were twenty stories tall minimum." Added Mei without a thought.
"And Izuku took it down? Damn, it must have been a heck of a fight." Said Setsuna after giving an impressive whistle.
"Actually he beat it with one attack after stopping it in its tracks bare handed." Mumbled Ochako as she slowly moved her hands. A pin drop could be heard in the room as everyone became quiet, even Mitsuki didn't know about this.
"I'd like to retract earlier statement." Suddenly announces Pony, gaining everyone's attention. "Izuku's the anime protagonist." She said plainly, earning a few shocked chuckles before it devolved into a round of giggling.
"Not gonna lie, that gets me pumped for hero training! I would love to face off against him and see what he can do!" Kirishima excitedly exclaimed.
Many voiced their agreement, some even adding they look forward to seeing what everyone can do. But one person had a different idea in mind.
"I must say, your boy toy is sounding better and better, he almost sounds too perfect. But there's no way he could be good at everything. So tell me, how is he in bed?" Asked Setsuna teasingly, making many faces in the room turn red.
"Setsuna! This isn't the time or place for that kind of talk!" Yelled Kendo.
"Oh please, we're all adults here. It's not like we're out in public anyways." Argued Setsuna.
"I mean, I have no complaints. He's very cuddly, and I love how close he holds me." Answered Mei innocently. Several girls had to suppress a laugh at her answer.
"No girl, I mean when you sleep together." Said Setsuna as her head dropped.
"But that's what I'm talking about?" Replied a confused Mei as she and Kinoko gathered their dishes to rinse and put in the dishwasher. "Though I admit it sucks getting woken up most nights."
"Oooohhhh? And why is that?" Asked Setsuna with a mischievous smile, thinking she was finally getting the dirt she wanted.
"He suffers from frequent nightmares." Answered Mei, causing Setsuna's smile to drop. "Though I don't think he knows we know, and we'd rather he didn't."
"How does he not know? And why don't you want him to?" Asked Ashido.
"Well we help calm him down when they appear." Answered Kinoko. "Most aren't too bad. Usually just some kisses and affirmations of love is enough to soothe him. Though we did discover recently that some get pretty bad. We knew about the nightmares for a long time, just not how severe they could get. So far we've only seen it once so far, but we also didn't have many chances to witness it until moving here."
"What happens when they get really bad?" Asked Shinso worried.
"Well we talked to his mom after it happened, and according to her, there is a range, depending on what the nightmare was about. For that one he fully woke up instantly, and when his eyes landed on us he grabbed hold of us tight and refused to let go for a while. Apparently he dreamt that both of us were slowly killed in front of him. But according to her, the one he had that night was becoming more frequent." Answered Mei.
"Fuck, that is one intense nightmare." Said Kendo, not thinking about her language.
"I hate to ask this girls, but are you sure you're able to handle something like that?" Asked Mitsuki concerned.
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Asked Mei accusingly, making Mitsuki's hand shoot up placatingly.
"Nothing, just that I've seen many relationships crumble due to things outside of anyone's control over the years. Losing sleep is no joke, and I just want to make sure you girls are up to the task so none of you get hurt." Replied Mitsuki.
"Oh please, I'm getting far more sleep now than I ever did before I met Izu." Replied Mei as she and Kinoko finished the dishes.
"Trust me, she's not exaggerating. Her parents are still thanking Izuku and I for finally getting her to develop some healthier habits. I on the other hand am having a little difficulty with it, but waking up with the two of them makes it completely worth it." Added Kinoko, gently bumping into Mei with her final statement for emphasis.
"You three really love each other, dontcha?" Asked Mitsuki with a caring smile as she propped her head up with her hand.
"Yup!" Declared Mei with a large toothy grin.
"We have our tough spots like any other relationship, but I can't imagine not being with them." Answered Kinoko with a loving smile. "But I think that's enough reminiscing, it's time to get going." She said to Mei who nodded in confirmation.
"Where are you going?" Asked Kodai.
"The club fair. I'm going to see if anything catches my eye, Mei is just tagging along to do some networking." Answered Kinoko.
"That's today!?" Screamed Ashido.
"Yeah, didn't you guys get the memo that UA does it earlier than other schools because things get really busy after school starts?" Asked Kinoko.
"I might have skimmed through the information booklet." Ashido admitted sheepishly. "But in my defense, there was a lot to do to get ready. Do you know how many tests I needed to go through just so the support department knew what materials they could use for my costume and equipment?"
"Yes." Mei answered simply.
"Then you know it takes forever!" Dramatically exclaimed Ashido, getting a few giggles. "Would you like to go together? I need to check out the dance clubs." She asked.
"Yeah that sounds like fun, how about you Mei?" Answered Kinoko.
"I'm cool with it. You could probably help me spot more hero students." Shrugged Mei but with a smile.
Right after several others asked to join as well, getting confirmation from the two. "Give us a minute to get our own dishes done and we can head out."
"Oh don't worry about it. Go out and have fun, I'll take care of the dishes. "Announced Mistuski.
"Are you sure? We don't want to impose." Asked Kendo concerned.
"If I wasn't sure I wouldn't have offered. I've been where you girls are now, so I know how tough things will get. So I know it's better to establish a good relationship now before things inevitably get messy later." Said Mitsuki, waving off the concern. She could see a few of them had understood what she meant, but she was concerned by the amount of confused expressions.
"Inevitably get messy? Do you think we're just going to start fighting all the time?" Asked Setsuna, sounding a little annoyed.
"Do you have any siblings, Setsuna?" Asked Mistsuki knowingly.
"Yeah? But what do they have to do with this?" Answered Setsuna confused.
"You love them right? Wouldn't trade them for the world?" Asked Mitsuki, her knowing smile growing.
"Most of them, yeah. Some I'd consider my closest friends." Replied Setsuna, now curious about where this was going.
"And how many times have you fought with them in the last year alone?" Asked Mitsuki with a smug smirk. It grew larger as she saw understanding appear on Setsuna's face.
"Point taken. Ok girls, we better become best friends before I feel the need to strangle one of you." Declared Setsuna with a large smile, causing Mitsuki and many others to laugh. You could easily tell which ones in the room didn't have siblings.
Mitsuki smiled at the girls as they all talked and joked around as they left. She went about collecting the dishes as she happily hummed. As she was rinsing off the plates, her smile grew as she heard someone start putting them into the dishwasher. "I'm sure if you give a proper apology they'll let you go with them." She said without looking.
"Why the fuck would I want to do that?" Grumbled Katsumi as she continued loading the dishwasher.
The response actually made Mitsuki's smile widen. While it wasn't a reply she wanted, it didn't have the fire her responses usually had. The fact that she didn't go on a tirade for suggesting she apologizes was also a major improvement. "Baby steps." Thought Mitsuki as the two continued silently working. 'Baby steps.'
Things at the club fair ended up turning… weird for the girls. UA was well known for being weird due to their unorthodox teaching methods, and the way some of the teachers acted. So the girls wondered how none of them realized that reputation also extended to the student body. Looking at their alumni really should have been a dead giveaway, but none were prepared for what they experienced.
The first thing they saw when getting there, solely because it was impossible to miss, was a stall for the beauty support club. Pretty much it was a club that focused on the aesthetics of hero support gear. But what really made it impossible to miss is the girl running the stand who had uniquely very long eyelashes. That in itself wasn't enough to turn their heads, it wasn't the weirdest thing they'd seen. No it was the fact that every piece of equipment being displayed had her face on it. They weren't even images, the gear was just shaped to look like her. Hell, even a pair of boots had her face sticking out of the sides, and they were pretty sure outside of that, they were just an ordinary pair of boots.
Many of them thought they were just off to a weird start and things would become normal. They were only half right. There were a few normal clubs, like a dance club that featured several more modern dance styles, including break dancing. Ashido wasn't even done hearing the full explanation when she signed up.
Besides that, there were a lot of weird ones. They even witnessed a midget signing up for a hero appreciation club which was obviously a thinly veiled disguise for a bunch of dudes drooling over female heroes. They practically ran away when the midget and coordinator started talking about bust sizes and which heroes had costumes that perfectly showed off their figures.
The oddest one though was when they spotted Todoroki listening intently at a conspiracy theorist clubs stall that calls themselves a detectives club. Mei and Kinoko had to practically be dragged away laughing when they realized the guy was going on and on about Eraserhead and All Might having a secret love child. The guy was even using a woman in America who's quirk could temporarily change a person's gender as evidence. Mei wanted to call Shoka to tell her what they just heard, but Kinoko was wise enough to not light that particular fuse.
All in all the day went on great for them. Everyone who wanted to join a club found one they liked. Mei debated joining one of the clubs focused on support gear, but decided against it. She feels too much direction, like with those clubs, is stifling. That some of her best babies came from the vaguest explanations or ideas. She even had one of her extremely wise moments when she said that there isn't much room for improvement if you only focus on doing it a certain way. Though she failed to notice several of their group, and even a couple passerby's, had an epiphany thanks to her words.
Kinoko, Camie, and Hagakure ended up joining a pop culture club. While there were several clubs like it, the one they joined was the only one that didn't just seem like a way for people to get funded to just gossip. This one was run by a really nice now fourth year management student, and they had plenty of management student members. So while they still gush about the latest idols or TV dream boats, they analyze what makes them so popular so they can use it in their future careers.
Kendo was the only one to notice Pony sneak off to sign up for an anime fan club. When Kendo talked to her, asking why she was being so secretive about it, it was revealed that Pony got made fun of for liking that stuff back in America. She also wasn't under the delusion that her interests would automatically be accepted in Japan. That there was just as much bullying about it here. Despite Kendo telling her that she doubted anyone in their class would make fun of her, Pony swore her to secrecy, not feeling ready to take that risk.
Aside from them, no one else wanted to join a club, feeling that their plates were already full enough with school, personal training, and social obligations. They were all just happy coming along to further get to know each other. Even without Mitsuki's advice, they would still prefer to be friends with those they live with.
By the time they were all done looking at the booths, it was already past 5 o'clock. It shocked them how fast time seemed to go. They were just having too much fun looking at some of the more out there clubs. They even got Yaoyorozu to make bingo cards of weird club ideas. Kendo ended up winning that game without even using the free space. Despite her initial protests to the idea, she reluctantly admitted it was fun.
Shortly after getting home Kendo, Tsuyu, Camie, and Yanagi volunteered to make everyone dinner. It took them a while to locate all the ingredients, and by the time they had everything they needed, the front door slowly slid open gaining everyone's attention. They all had the pleasure of seeing a dazed looking Izuku walk through the front door, his face absolutely covered in lipstick kiss marks.
"So how did it go?" Asked Kinoko knowingly.
"Good." Was all Izuku said, still in a daze as he walked to the couch and sat down.
"So did she accept?" Asked Mei while suppressing a laugh.
"Yes." Said Izuku with a nod. "A hundred and seventy-two times."
"Damn, you counted? I'm guessing each yes was accompanied by a kiss?" Asked Setsuna teasingly, busting a gut when Izuku silently nodded.
"Wow, he is like, really lost in his own head." Said Camie with an amused smile.
"I think I know how to break him out of it." Announced Mei before she grabbed Izuku by the face and pulled him into a deep kiss. It only took a couple of seconds for Izuku to wrap his arms around Mei as his eyes closed while melting into the kiss. When she pulled away, he followed a bit before his eyes opened again and he looked around at his surroundings. Everyone laughed a little when Izuku's immediate reaction was to cover his face in embarrassment.
"So how did you know that would work when kissing got him into that state to begin with?" Asked Hagakure between giggles.
"It works all the time in movies." Said Mei with a shrug, earning another round of laughs.
"So did you talk to Nejire about the four of us needing to get together to establish ground rules? Or were you too busy getting your face sucked off?" Teased Kinoko.
"Y-yeah, she'll come by after our first heroics class. She said she'll be busy until then." Said Izuku, getting his embarrassment under control.
"Just became boyfriend and girlfriend and you're already bringing her home? Bold." Teased Mitsuki.
"Not for that!" Yelled Izuku in embarrassment.
As the girls continued to lightheartedly tease Izuku, Ochako was sitting off by herself, her eyes glued to Izuku. She was feeling sad at Izuku's announcement, she just couldn't figure out why. It's not like she's upset he's dating Nejire, she's genuinely happy for them. And it's not like she feels that way when it's with Mei and Kinoko, so she didn't think she was jealous.
Camie was the one to notice Ochako sitting by herself and decided to check up on her friend. "Hey girl. What are you sulking over here for?" She asked with a friendly smile.
Ochako debated whether she wanted to say anything or not. Sure she would consider Camie a friend, but they still didn't know each other all that well. In the end, Camie's warm friendly smile made the decision for her. "I… I don't know. It just hurts hearing about Izuku's and Nejire's relationship." She reluctantly admitted.
Camie put a finger to her chin as she hummed thoughtfully, her smile never fading. "Tell me, is it the same when it comes to Mei and Kinoko?" Asked Camie.
"No. I've never felt this until now." Answered Ochako.
"Then the answer is so totally obvious!" Said Camie happily. "You're jealous that he entered a relationship with someone that isn't you."
"But he's been in a relationship as long as I've known him." Countered Ochako confused.
"Exactly. You know their relationship is open for others to join, and now someone who isn't you has. So it sounds to me that you're wishing it was you instead." Said Camie with a smile that dared Ochako to prove her wrong.
"But we haven't known each other that long! I shouldn't be having feelings like this." Argued Ochako.
"Pfft." Said Camie as she dismissively waved her hand. "Girl, feelings don't work on a timeline. You feel what you feel, and no one else can tell you otherwise. Besides, people date people they don't know all the time."
"But shouldn't you really get to know each other to see if you're compatible?" Asked Ochako.
"That's what dating is for! Whether you're in it just for fun, or for the long term, dating is just one big trial run." Camie declared.
Ochako looked back at Izuku whose face was currently crimson from a suggestive comment Setsuna made. She continued watching as Setsuna made some pretty flirty comments, causing another pang of pain in her chest.
She only looked away when she felt something on her leg. Looking down she spotted Azazel had put his paw on her leg, a signal she had been informed of. As soon as she acknowledged his presence, he quickly made his way onto her lap and curled up, purring loudly. With a small smile she started petting Azazel, the whirlwind of emotions in her mind feeling like it was starting to calm.
"Seems Azazel was worried aboutcha as well." Giggled Camie, resisting the urge so pet Azazel as well.
"He really is a perceptive cat." Agreed Ochako as she continued petting him. Now that her mind was finally calm enough, she decided she needed advice. "So do you think I should ask him out then?"
"I think you should go for what you want. Life's too short for hesitation, because you'll never know when the door will close for good. It's up to you to decide which doors you want to go through." Said Camie as she stood up before walking back to the group, leaving Ochako to think.
She continued sitting where she was, petting and snuggling Azazel, much to the jealousy of several girls. But all the while her mind was on Camie's words. She had gotten a lot of advice on this topic, so it frustrated her that she was still struggling so much. Maybe it was time to finally ask her mom for some. She just was not looking forward to all the embarrassing questions she knew she would be bombarded with.
