Author's Note:

I do not own Library of Ruina or RWBY. These series belong to Project Moon and RoosterTeeth respectively. Everything I say is to not be taken as canon, they are merely add-ons to the story to flesh it out.

Yo, welcome back. This chapter was made really quickly after the last chapter, about a week after I finished it. I had some good ideas so if you guys like it, then I'll see what else I can do with it.

With that said, this chapter is pretty good in my opinion. I felt like I had a good flow of character dialogue and got some of the personalities of the characters; if I didn't, then that's on me. Well, I don't want to spoil it anymore, so enjoy the chapter!

Reviews:

Argorok - Thanks dude :)

konmek43 - Don't worry, I'll make sure "nothing bad" happens to Angelina... just kidding, we'll just have to wait and see

VGBlackwing - Honestly, I can't wait to get to the Battle for Beacon Arc. I have some ideas for it, but it won't show any fruit until I build up the story.

ScruffinMcguffin - Roland probably gets consistent SSS rank

Scifive - Phil/Phillip was going to make an earlier appearance like back in Chapter 13, but I decided that it was out of place and would ruin the flow of the chapter.

The Dark Hour - No pressure? Now you got me anxious lmao. Either way, thank you for the support!

Emm - Phil probably isn't that much different from Phillip, although, I may have something planned in the future for him. Also, speaking of Magical Girls...

FLOOR OF LITERATURE, THE LIBRARY–

"Yo, Hod, I'm back to return this book," Gebura spoke out loud, searching for Hod near her office.

She was done reading and studying the book. It took some time, but she got some clues as to who these Silver-Eyed Warriors were. It seemed like the team leader of Team RWBY was a Silver-Eyed Warrior, most likely the last of her kind. Although she asked Roland to train them, he told her she'll need permission from the headmaster to be "employed" since she'll need a Huntsman License which will take a few days.

As she entered the office of the Patron of Literature, Gebura spotted something odd.

She saw a red bonnet with black frills and a small red bow behind a table. Instantly, the librarian recognized what it was. As the red hat began to move towards the edge of the table, a familiar sound reached Gebura's ears—the delicate melody of a music box. With heightened focus, Gebura watched as a figure emerged from beneath the hat, causing her to jump up from her seat.

Several feet away, there stood a small person with pale skin, red eyes, and grayish hair with red-tipped ends. The girl wore a red and white dress, complemented by red shoes, dark stockings, and the same red bonnet adorned with a red bow and two golden jingle bells. The little girl's eyes, however, drew Gebura's attention. They were noticeably cross-eyed, and pointed in opposite directions, making it hard to discern where she was looking. Yet, Gebura could sense that the child's gaze was fixed upon her.

Gebura's reaction was immediate and intense as she shouted, "It's a fucking Abnormality!" Her hand swiftly reached for her weapon, revealing a larger and uniquely designed librarian sword with a serrated edge. She was prepared to raise her weapon, but before she could, a certain brown-haired librarian jumped in front of her, causing her to pause.

"Wait a moment!" Hod, in a state of shock, cried out for Gebura to wait. Hod appeared out of nowhere, her dress fluttered as she hurriedly intervened to stop Gebura's attack. "Please don't hurt her," Hod begged.

Gebura, still tense and on guard, lowered her weapon slightly and demanded an explanation. "Why? That thing isn't supposed to be here," she retorted.

"Laetitia's one of the good ones," Hod, desperately trying to calm the situation, implored Gebura. "I found her wandering around the floor. She was scared of the students walking around, and she wanted to read some books but was too scared to go out. I invited her to my office to be with me, and she hasn't done anything bad to anyone."

The Patron of Language glanced to the side, peering past Hod to observe the Abnormality holding a book. She weighed her options, contemplating what she should do. In response, Laetitia adjusted the book to cover her face more fully, except for her eyes.

Gebura could only see fear and some nervousness in the Abnormality's eyes.

Reluctantly, Gebura sighed and made the decision to stand down. "Fine, as long as it doesn't do anything stupid, I'll ignore it," she conceded. She sheathed her weapon, causing it to disappear, a feature granted to her by Angela. This made it easier for Gebura to move around without the burden of carrying a visible weapon. With a resigned demeanor, she grabbed a chair, turning it to face the other two.

In the distance, Gebura heard Hod's voice calling out, "Are you okay?"

The little girl nodded, her gaze shifting towards Gebura.

"Don't worry, Laetitia," Hod reassured her. "Gebura might seem intimidating, but deep down, she's actually a nice person. Just give her some time, and she'll come around."

Laetitia nodded again, her eyes still fixed on Gebura, cautiously observing the red-haired woman.

Laetitia extended the book she held in her hands towards Hod. The brown librarian took the book and immediately recognized it as another one of the enchanting fairy tales from the world of Remnant. As Hod glanced at the little girl's face, she could sense her desire.

"Ah, you want me to read it to you," Hod realized, a warm smile spreading across her face. "Alright, I don't mind." With that, Hod hurriedly fetched two chairs, one for herself and one for Laetitia. The young Abnormality struggled a bit to climb onto the chair that was slightly too tall for her, but eventually managed to settle down. Once they were both comfortable, Hod began to read the story aloud.

"Long ago, two races ruled over Remnant: Humans and Faunus," Hod began, her voice filled with the magic of storytelling.

Not wanting to leave Hod alone with the Abnormality, Gebura chose to sit near them. She just hoped that no other Abnormalities got out. Instantly, she just regretted thinking about that. Sighing, she hoped that someone else would clean up the mess instead of her.

FLOOR OF PHILOSOPHY, THE LIBRARY–

"BongBong," BongBong said. "BongBongBong BongBong."

"...Yes?" Jaune agreed with a puzzled expression, unsure of what this person was saying.

"Bong." The blue-haired girl pointed at a book. "Bong?"

"Uh, no… that's a book about metaphysics. I asked for a book about love," Jaune said, scratching his head. The new library was starting to confuse him. Did he choose the right floor? "Am I on the right floor?" He asked.

BongBong placed a hand over her mouth in surprise. How could she forget that metaphysics and love were different topics? This was setting a terrible example as a librarian assistant on the Floor of Philosophy. She was determined to help this poor kid and rectify her mistake. "Bong!" She gestured for him to follow.

"Uh, alright!" Jaune started to follow the strange librarian. He just wanted to find a book that would help him win a dance with the prettiest girl in the school. He hoped that his guitar skills would sway her heart, but decided to read a book first to understand a woman's heart. The walk was quite a distance, so he decided to strike up a conversation with the blue-haired girl, hoping to gain some insight on the matter. "So, uh, did you do anything fun today?"

"Bong BongBong."

Jaune furrowed his brow and replied, "Okay… I think that's progress… maybe? How about this: what's your favorite color?"

"BongBong!"

"Huh," Jaune scratched his head once more. "I'm not sure if that's a color or a secret code. Maybe I'm not asking the right questions. Let me try again. Do you like pancakes?"

"Bong!"

"Ah, a yes! So you do like pancakes!" Jaune brightened up, but then hesitated. "Wait. That could also mean no. Did you say a 'yes' or a 'no?'"

"Bong!"

"Yes! Alright, I think I'm getting it," Jaune proudly declared. When they reached the main lobby of the floor, a voice called out to them.

"BongBong."

"Bong?" Both BongBong and Jaune turned to see the Patron Librarian of the floor. She was sitting down at one of the tables, holding a teacup in her hands. Instantly, the blue-haired girl's eyes sparkled even more as she walked up to Binah. "BongBong Bong! Bong!"

Jaune could only look as BongBong received a pat on the head by Binah. For some reason, the blonde boy couldn't help but stare into the woman's eyes–their pitch-black darkness was consuming him. There was no light, nothing to illuminate it. It felt like she was lifeless on the inside. Out of instinct, he took a step back. However, the woman noticed his reaction and stared directly at him.

"Uh, hi there," he nervously responded. In response, all she did was take a sip of her tea, prompting him to continue. "Uh, may I know who you are? My mom says to greet anyone I meet."

Binah gave the boy a quizzical look, then smiled and looked back down to take another sip. Setting the cup down, she turned to face him. "I am Binah, the Patron Librarian of the Floor of Philosophy," she explained. "What about you?"

"I'm Jaune. Jaune Arc," he nervously replied.

Then, she started to gaze directly into his eyes, which freaked him out, and she knew what she was doing. Jaune couldn't help but stay frozen, awaiting for whatever might happen. After a while, she said, "I see…"

"You see… what?"

"Your lineage is relatively prominent, yet most people are unaware of such feats. High levels of Aura, noble family, and firm conviction," her voice was soft, yet it carried some weight. "Such a shame that you, conversely, do not see yourself on top of that pedestal. It is as if you are but a contained small fire next to a forest."

"What does that even mean?" Jaune asked curiously.

Instead of answering, Binah smiled and didn't say anything else. She just continued to stare at him while patting BongBong's head. Suddenly, multiple yellow eyes lit up in the darkness behind her. All of them were fixed on him. At that moment, BongBong released herself and walked back to Jaune, gesturing for him to follow once more. When they started to walk, Jaune looked back to see only Binah staring at him, with no yellow eyes behind her. Shuddering, Jaune quickly moved to follow the blue-haired girl.

"...That was weird," he muttered to himself.

FLOOR OF LANGUAGE, THE LIBRARY–

Dark wood covered the entire floor, with bright red lighting emanating from the lava flowing out of pipes. In the distance, several disjointed towers resembled a city. All of these elements make up the Floor of Language. The main area of the floor was covered in broken, discolored wood. Due to the nature of this floor, the temperature was unnaturally higher than on other floors, causing many students and staff to avoid lingering here.

"Why is there lava?!" Jaune screamed out loud. "Isn't this place a library?!"

"BongBong!" The blue-haired girl hit the blonde boy in the head.

"Ow, what was that for?" Jaune said, rubbing the area where she had hit him.

With a somewhat stern expression, BongBong put up a finger to her lips, signaling him to quiet down. Jaune, realizing he was in a library, nodded in understanding. "Sorry," he said in a hushed tone.

"BongBong, Bong BongBong BongBongBong. Bong. BongBong Bong," BongBong explained their plan to Jaune. "BongBong?"

"...Yeah, gotcha," Jaune replied slowly. After that, BongBong saluted him and began to search around the bookshelves, seemingly looking for his desired book. When she was out of sight, Jaune resigned himself to searching through the bookshelves as well.

As Jaune passed each row, he couldn't help noticing how desolate the floor looked. There were very few people here, and the scarcity of books puzzled him. The lack of visitors made sense due to the high temperatures, but the shortage of books was what confused him. Randomly, he crouched down to pick up one of the few books lying around. When examining the book, he didn't understand what it was.

"Book of Ko-re-an?" Jaune mumbled to himself. "What the heck is Korean?"

The blonde boy flipped through the book, trying to see what the language was all about, but he couldn't even understand a bit of it. It was just a bunch of lines and circles. He assumed that it was one of the languages back in the Librarians' original world.

Then he remembered that the Librarians were from a different world. He began to ponder the endless possibilities. What if there were other people who came from different worlds that they didn't know? His mind raced with thoughts of worlds where giant mechs fought in space or a world where people had quirky abilities. Maybe there was a world where he was the strongest main character. However, his thoughts were interrupted as he spotted something behind one of the bookshelves.

Curious, he peaks through the bookshelf. What he saw there shocked him.

"A… dog?" Jaune quietly muttered to himself as he noticed that it was sleeping.

Then, he started to walk around the bookshelf to get to it. As he got closer, he realized that it didn't look very much like a dog, nor any real animal at all. It looked more like a cartoonish version of a wolf with giant black eyebrows and a scar down its left eye. A giant cartoon snot bubble was expanding and shrinking in rhythm with the wolf's breathing, giving away that it was asleep.

"What's a dog doing here?"

When he spoke, the bubble popped.

Startled by the noise, Jaune backed up to see that the wolf opened its eyes. Both of them stared at each other for a few seconds, neither moving nor making a sound. It wasn't until the wolf started to look around the area, ignoring Jaune for the moment. Confused, Jaune was just at least glad that the wolf didn't attack him.

"Say, would you happen to know if a certain person wearing a red coat is nearby?"

"Uh, not that I know of," Jaune responded without thinking.

Suddenly, Jaune's eyes darted to the wolf, which was now staring back at him. Then, the wolf started to raise itself to its full height. While Jaune could definitely say that he's pretty tall, the cartoonish animal in front of him towered over him.

"Uh… hi?" Jaune managed to say.

"Hiya," the wolf greeted back, surprising Jaune. "You don't look familiar. Have we met before?"

"I, uh, no? I don't think I've ever met a talking wolf before."

"Oh, in that case, you should probably get away from me," the wolf suggested.

Confused, Jaune asked, "Why?"

"I'm a big bad wolf," it proclaimed. "I'll gobble you up."

After saying that, the wolf weakly growled and raised its claws. Though it might be intimidating to children, to Jaune, it looked like someone in a mascot costume and was trying to scare children. Also, the Beowolves he fights are scarier than the cartoonish wolf would ever be. Plus, he just noticed the wolf's funny belly button. In response, Jaune let out a laugh.

"Oh man, whoever you are, you're doing a great job in that suit," Jaune said as he chuckled. The blonde boy couldn't even believe that he had fallen for it. Thinking it was a prank of sorts, he looked around to see if there were any hidden cameras. "Am I on a gameshow?"

"I am a real wolf, though."

"Staying in character, huh? Well, I don't know how you aren't hot wearing that thing in this place, but you're doing a good job being the scary wolf," Jaune applauded. As he continued talking to the wolf, and the wolf kept insisting that he was indeed a real wolf, Jaune was getting a little sidetracked. He realized this and tried to say goodbye to the wolf, but before he even did so, he heard something click behind him.

Even though Jaune never used or owned a gun, he knew what the clicking sound was. It was the sound of a gun's hammer being cocked. The boy quickly spun his body around to see… Is Ruby pointing a gun at him?

"Ruby?" Jaune exclaimed. "What are you doing?"

Now that he was looking at "Ruby" more clearly, it was very obvious that this wasn't the bright, cheerful girl he knew. The person was wearing a similar bright red hood covering their entire head, but it was full of patches and stitches, indicating that it was well-worn. Under the hood, a mask with teeth-like patterns concealed most of their face, leaving only one piercing yellow eye visible. Their entire attire, aside from the hood, consisted of black bandages wrapped around every part of their body. In her hands were a scythe-like dagger and a shotgun-like pistol, the latter of which was pointed directly at Jaune and the wolf. It was only when Jaune heard the person talk that he would learn that this was a woman.

"You, blonde kid," she called out to Jaune but kept her attention on the wolf. In response, Jaune put his hands up. "Get the fuck out of here."

Jaune stood frozen, trying to make sense of the situation. 'Was this part of the prank?' he wondered. He looked at her again and caught a whiff of the scent of iron. Jaune looked down to see blood on the woman's shoes, looking up, he spotted blood stains that blended in with her red clothes. Horror washed over him as he realized that this was no prank.

"I-uh," Jaune stammered, his voice trembling. "P-Please don't shoot me!"

"I'm going to, if you don't move the fuck out of the way!" The red-hooded woman shouted.

Just as he was about to comply, a horrifying sound filled the air. It was the sickening noise of flesh ripping and mending, blood being splattered, and low, deep growls behind him. A cold breath on his neck sent chills down his spine. Slowly, Jaune turned around to see a giant wolf covered in scars. Gone with the cartoonish look, and replaced with a more animalistic form. The wolf's front claws became longer and sharper, covered in blood. In his face, Jaune saw two brightly colored blue eyes staring down at him. A mist of the same color was coming out from its mouth. Needless to say, Jaune was fucking scared.

Backpedaling away, Jaune tried to get some distance away from the beast. However, the wolf suddenly jumped at him with one of its claws raised, ready to slash through him. Once it started to take a swing at Jaune, the blonde boy couldn't help but think about his life choices. He thought about his decision to enroll at Beacon, his teammates, his friends, and mainly… Pyrrha.

Just as the wolf's claws were about to reach him, a flash of red appeared in front of him. The red-hooded woman positioned herself between him and the wolf, sparks flying out between them. When she blocked the wolf's attack, her hood fluttered around, letting the blonde boy see what the red-hooded girl looked like. Jaune stood shocked but realized that he was in the way, so he scrambled to get out of the fight.

As Jaune hurriedly left the corridor, the woman glanced back to ensure that the blonde boy had made his escape. Now that they were alone, a wide grin of joy spread across her face. She took aim with her shotgun and swiftly shot the wolf's hind leg, causing it to yelp in pain and stumble, its movements momentarily restricted. This was the most exhilarating hunt she had experienced in a long time.

Back when she was confined in that damned underground prison, she had no freedom to do anything other than when she was let out to hunt down other Abnormalities. But now, in this place, they were trapped in here together. She had become the hunter, and the wolf became her prey. The thrill of the chase and the battle was unlike anything she had felt before.

The wolf lunged at her, its sharp teeth sinking into her arm, tearing off a chunk of flesh. She winced in pain, but it only fueled her resolve. Unfazed by the wolf's retaliation, she fought back with fierce determination. Striking the wolf with calculated precision, she shot the wolf in the eye. Both combatants were relentless, slashing and tearing at each other, blood staining the floor beneath them.

Back to Jaune, although he had run, he couldn't help but stay around to watch how the fight would end. While the woman was scary, the intensity of the battle had left him both amazed and worried for the woman's well-being. He watched as the woman slid under the wolf, slicing its stomach, and then the wolf crushed her foot before she slashed at it. After being released, she jumped away from the beast and attacked once more. Hearing swift footsteps behind him, Jaune turned around to see BongBong hastily walking toward him.

"BongBong! Bong!" The blue-haired girl shouted at him, unaware that he couldn't understand her.

"What is happening?!" Jaune questioned. "There was a funny-looking wolf that could talk, then a person who looked like Ruby, but wasn't actually Ruby, pointed a gun at me and told me to get out of there! Then, the wolf turned into a scary-looking wolf then it tried to kill me! But the woman saved me and started to fight the wolf!"

In response, BongBong let out an exasperated sigh. "Bong…" She then pulled out a piece of paper. It was blue-colored and Jaune could barely read out the words "rabbit." Then, he realized that it was a Key Page and watched as a golden light radiated from the blue-haired girl.

When the light faded, Jaune couldn't help but notice that her attire bore a striking resemblance to the one Key Page Nora had worn before. The familiar orange hue and dull coloring adorned her suit, but unlike the massive armor Nora wore, this one seemed more proportionate to a human frame. While the shins, forearms, and upper body boasted some armored plating, she was wearing pants and a holster for what seemed to be a knife. However, what truly grabbed his attention was the enormous gun clutched in her hands. Its blocky appearance looked far too heavy to wield, but BongBong, who was half the weapon's size, was carrying it with ease.

"Bong, BongBong," she said as she charged forward into battle, leaving Jaune bewildered.

"What!?" Jaune was exasperated as he followed to see. From the last time he had seen, the red woman and the wolf were ripping into each other, but by now, one of them had to have lost already. When he arrived, he still saw the two of them locked in combat, both of them had deep wounds on their bodies and were moving at speeds Jaune couldn't keep up with. To add to that, he watched as BongBong took aim and shot at the wolf, apparently helping the woman.

"HEY! HE'S MINE!" The woman screamed. "I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!"

Despite the verbal threat, BongBong continued to shoot at the wolf as if she couldn't hear the hooded woman.

While the fight continued, Jaune couldn't help but feel like a bystander. Although he would like to help, be a shield or bait attacks, he had no weapon, but even that probably would help him in this fight. Even if he used his Aura, he wasn't able to fully control it like Ren. If anything, he would better serve as a sacrifice than a tank. However, an idea popped into his head. Pulling out his Scroll, he went through his contacts and tapped on a reliable name.

After the call went through, he calmly said, "REN! REN! SEND HELP! Monster! Library! Uh… Floor of… uh? Red! Red Floor! HELP!"

[After a few seconds, Ren, ever composed, simply replied, "Okay."]

With that, Ren ended the call.

As he stared at the Scroll, Jaune couldn't help but wonder how long it would take for Ren to arrive. Would it be a matter of minutes, or would he even make it in time? The battle could reach its conclusion before Ren even arrived, leaving Jaune with unanswered questions. Just as he was lost in his thoughts, a familiar voice pierced through the tension.

"Here!" Nora's exclamation came from behind Jaune, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Nora!?" Jaune looked behind her, continuing his amazement. "Pyrrha! Ren! You guys are here!"

"We got your message," Pyrrha said with a smile.

"But, how did you guys get here so fast?" Jaune questioned.

"We were already in the Library when you called," Pyrrha explained.

"Why?" Jaune asked.

"You weren't in the dorm room," Nora began to explain. "So we went looking for you!"

"Thankfully, we installed a tracker app on all our Scrolls just in case one of us got lost," Ren stated as he stared at Nora, who looked back at him obviously. Apparently, he had some bad memories of that.

"Okay, thank the Brothers you guys are here." Jaune felt relieved to see them, then he pointed back at the fight. "Look, we gotta help the person in the red hood and the blue-haired girl. There's a wolf that has these huge claws and was spitting out this blue gas from its mouth! They're fighting it right now, and… where's our weapons?"

His teammates just looked at each other, appearing confused. Sadly, none of them had any weapons. They were just in their standard school uniform like Jaune was.

"We didn't bring any," Pyrrha said with confusion.

"But, how can we help fight the wolf if we don't have weapons?"

"Uh, you mean the fight that's already over?" Nora said as she pointed behind Jaune.

Turning around, Jaune saw the woman standing over the fallen wolf with BongBong off to the side with the Key Page de-equipped. He looked on as the red-hooded woman stabbed the wolf's corpse multiple times before it exploded into multiple golden pages, leaving nothing behind. Although she wore a mask and a hood, Jaune could see the relief wash over the woman, satisfaction as she raised her head up high.

"Another good day…" She muttered to herself, before being distracted by the commotion.

Seeing the baffled look on Jaune's face, Nora asked, "So, need any more help, Jaune?"

"...No, not anymore."

"Bong," the blue-haired girl sighed as she walked up to the students.

Hearing what the girl said, Pyrrha responded in kind, "Uh, hello…"

"Bong? Bong BongBong," BongBong said as she pointed to herself.

"Uh…"

Seeing her confusion, Ren stepped in, "I think that gesture means that her name is BongBong."

"Ah," Pyrrha acknowledged.

"Oo! Oo! I got this!" Nora excitedly spoke. Coughing into her first, clearing her throat, she spoke, "Bong, BongBong Bong."

"BongBong? Bong?!"

"Bong, BongBongBong Bong?"

"BongBong. Bong BongBongBong Bong BongBong"

"Bong. Bong BongBong Bong Bong."

"Uh, Nora?" Jaune tapped her on the shoulder, disbelief apparent on his face. "You can understand her?!"

"Duh, of course I can," Nora said as she shook her head in disbelief, and then started to talk to the blue-haired girl. After hearing her response, Jaune looked toward Ren for answers but the black-haired boy shrugged his shoulders. After Nora and BongBong were done talking, Nora explained the situation to the rest of her team. "So basically, the woman in red is an Abnormality called 'Little Red Riding Hooded Mercenary' or 'Little Red' for short. She has a huge grudge against the wolf who is also an Abnormality called the 'Big and Will be Bad Wolf.' I won't go into details, but basically, she's here to prevent him from getting too close to the main lobby of this floor so he can't eat people. If we want more details about the Abnormalities, we should talk to someone either named Binah or Yesod."

"I… see…" Jaune looked defeated.

"So that's an Abnormality," Ren said as he watched the hooded mercenary sit down on the floor and start sharpening her knife. He remembered hearing about them from Team RWBY's experience in the Library previously and some of the Librarians telling him some things, although he didn't learn much other than that the Librarians kept Abnormalities locked up and some details of the social structure of Lobotomy Corporation. Curious, he walked up to Little Red. "Pardon me, but I have some questions regarding you."

"Go ahead." Once she acknowledged him, she went back to sharpening. Despite looking pretty ragged and menacing, it seemed like she was in a good mood. "No personal questions."

"Of course," he responded. To be respectful, Ren also took a seat by sitting on his knees. For a while, he began to ask a long string of questions, which drew in the attention of his team, making them sit as well to listen to the red mercenary's story. BongBong also joined them, seemingly interested in what the Abnormality would say.

FLOOR OF NAT. SCIENCE, THE LIBRARY–

"Looks like the commotion upstairs is over," Yang pointed out, staring at the ceiling. Even though she was kinda curious as to what was happening upstairs, she ignored it. Turning her attention back to her team, she posed a question to the person who brought them here. "So, Weiss? What are we doing here?"

They looked around the floor. It was mainly made up of light-colored wood, given a yellowish hue by the floor's lighting. Instead of typical lighting fixtures like lamps or light bulbs, there were many giant windows that allowed natural light to enter. In contrast to the other floors of the Library, the Floor of Natural Sciences had a more gilded and elegant appearance with its golden color scheme.

"Well, considering that we were conducting illegal activities two days ago, we were given heavy amounts of homework. Homework that I know that you will not be doing; so we're here to do it without you or Ruby from being distracted," Weiss explained.

"Wait, why am I also being included in that?" Ruby questioned.

"You circled the 'x' on your math homework last week because it said 'Find x'."

"I'm studying to be a huntress, not a math whiz! Besides, it's still the weekend, and I wanna go play!"

"There's no time for games. The Vytal Festival is coming up, and you can't afford to slack off on your homework. I won't allow my team to have terrible grades," Weiss admonished.

As the two partners kept bickering with each other about homework, the team of girls walked further into the floor. Weiss explained that this floor was ideal for their studying. It wasn't mainly the floor itself, but rather the people on those floors that Weiss considered. Either Ruby or Yang would try to talk with Malkuth, Hod, or Roland, or laze around in Netzach and Chesed's floor. Another thing was that Gebura's floor was too hot, Binah was too… scary in Weiss's opinion, and Hokma's floor wasn't ready to be open yet. She would've chosen Yesod but the former's floor was busy with doing… construction? She didn't know. The only good choice was to go to Tiphereth's Floor.

"She's intelligent, refined, and mature," Weiss praised Tiphereth, before looking at a certain blonde member of their team. "More mature than some of us."

"'Mature?'" Yang questioned. "She nearly bit my head off after I called her a kid."

"Regardless, she still conducts herself better than most people, and I consider that to be an excellent quality of a mature person."

"I consider 'being nice' to be a quality of a mature person," Yang deadpanned.

Off to the side, Ruby was looking around, her eyes taking in the sights. Unlike Blake and Weiss, she and Yang hadn't explored much of the Library yet, so she was eager to take in everything each floor had to offer. As she glanced over one of the bookshelves, she spotted four individuals in between the rows of books. Was it another team? However, Ruby didn't recognize any team with dark blue, green, yellow, and light blue hair. Maybe it was a more senior team.

Setting that aside, Ruby turned her attention back to her own team and noticed that Blake seemed fidgety. She had been quiet and distant ever since they left their dorm rooms. As the good team leader she was, Ruby had to know what was bothering Blake.

"Hey, Blake?" Ruby spoke softly as she approached her. When the black-haired girl turned to her, Ruby continued. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you, Ruby," Blake said hastily. "Just thinking about some things. It's nothing major, just some personal stuff."

"Well, if you ever need someone to talk to, you've got us!" Ruby flashed a warm smile at Blake, who seemed a bit surprised but returned the gesture. Their moment was interrupted when Weiss grabbed their attention. They reached the main area of the floor, where most of the tables and books were, and Tiphereth's little area was off to the side, overseeing the main area.

"We'll sit here." Weiss gestured to one of the tables. The girls all sat down and started working on their homework.

10 MINUTES LATER–

"I'm sooooooo booooooored," Yang groaned. While Weiss and Blake were already finished with their homework, they still needed to help Ruby and Yang. The latter of which had already given up.

"It hasn't even been half an hour, you barely started on your history homework!"

"But history's so boring," the blonde girl whined. "Why do I need to learn about some geezer who ruled over a Kingdom centuries ago? Can't we just practice for the Vytal Festival? We can't win by using algebra, right, Blake?"

When the raven-haired girl didn't respond, the rest of the team looked at her. She was gazing off into the distance, looking at something. Once she noticed the girls looking at her questioningly, she realized Yang had asked her a question.

"Oh, yeah... Sure," Blake replied absentmindedly. Though she didn't realize it, her tone caught her team's attention.

"Ooookaay?" Her partner stressed with a worried tone. With a glance at her sister and Weiss who were also giving her similar expressions of worry, Yang gestured to them that she was going to talk to Blake, partner-to-partner. "Hey, Blake, can I talk to you for a moment?"

"Oh, yeah… Sure."

As the pair of black and yellow walked away, Ruby continued to be tutored by Weiss. Since Ruby skipped two grades, she needed to study harder to catch up to the rest of the students. It also didn't help that Ruby was just like her sister: a slacker. Unless it was a weapon, she had the attention span of a goldfish. It wasn't long until something caught her attention once more. When Weiss looked up to see what grabbed Ruby's attention, she was surprised to see two people walking their way.

One of them was a tall, pale-skinned woman with striking long, blue hair that gradually turned black at the ends. On top of her head was a little tiara adorned in the shape of three spades. The most distinctive part of her was the fact that half of her head was entirely black with protruding horns; the other half of her face looked normal, with only the marking of a black tear under her eye, which was closed. The only other body part that was visible was the arms. The upper portion of her arms was normal but transitioned into black to the tips of her fingers.

Her outfit is a gray dress with a black spade symbol on her chest. As the dress descends, it transitions from gray to blue and eventually turns black at the bottom. Both her hair and dress exhibit a noticeable galaxy-like pattern, adding to her distinctive appearance. Additionally, she wears a white translucent cloak that gracefully drapes off her back, further enhancing her beautiful appearance.

The other person, a much shorter girl with shorter green hair, walked beside her. Due to the blindfold on her face, there wasn't really much about her facial appearance other than that she had a small face. Adding in the fact that her hair's color was green, her hair was in the shape of a broccoli. Her outfit consisted of a pale green shirt with yellowish cuffs, dark green shorts, white leggings, and shoes with a similar color to her shirt. She had vibrant green orbs positioned over her arms and a white bosom on her chest with a green orb holding it in place as decorative elements.

"Greetings," the taller woman said.

The green girl chimed in with a cheerful "Hi!"

"Hello!" Ruby responded in return.

Weiss, initially confused by their appearance, also responded in kind, "Hello, did you need anything from us?" Instinctively, Weiss could tell that these two were not students or faculty. Maybe they were from a different kingdom, but something about them made her uneasy.

"Ah, I noticed that your friend was having some… trouble. She radiated quite an intense aura," the taller woman explained. "It was very… disturbing to say the least. Did something happen to cause such emotions?"

"What? Which friend?" Weiss questioned.

The shorter green girl jumped up excitedly. "The one with black hair! She had a moody expression on her face. She needs to cheer up!"

Determination filled Ruby's face as she instantly stood up. "You're right!" Ruby exclaimed. "Come on, Weiss! Let's go talk to Blake too!"

"Wait, Ruby," Weiss stopped her by grabbing her arm. She felt suspicious about the two strangers, although she couldn't quite put her finger on why. "Who are you? No... what are you?"

Upon hearing Weiss' question, the two unknown girls exchanged quizzical looks. Despite one having closed eyes and the other wearing a blindfold, it seemed like they were communicating silently. This unsettled Weiss. Soon, they turned back to face the two girls.

"I am a knight," the taller one spoke. "Specifically, O-01-73, 'The Knight of Despair'. But, you may refer to me as Knight."

"Servant!" The green one replied as well. "Servant of Wrath! But I don't like that name, it makes me sound like a bad person."

"You're Abnormalities!?" Weiss exclaimed, taking a step back, causing the taller woman to flinch because of the way she said it. The only Abnormality she saw was the burnt girl so she expected them to be similar to that, but these two were basically human. If she remembered correctly, it was basically a coin flip if an Abnormality was dangerous or less dangerous. Then, she realized that if these two were wandering around the main hall of the floor, then there could be more wandering around. Weiss wanted to run, but a voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

"Wow! You two look super pretty. I love your hair," Ruby complimented as she walked up to the knight. Then she turned her attention to the smaller girl. "And you, you look so cute! Can I hug you?"

"Sure!" The green girl replied with a smile.

"Wait, Ruby." Weiss's words fell on deaf ears as Ruby crouched down and held out her arms. The green-haired girl started to float into the air and then immediately dashed forward into Ruby's body. Due to the fast hug, Ruby fell backward. Once Weiss saw that the two of them were embracing each other, all the doubts in her mind faded away. She turned to the knight and spoke, "Ugh, apologies for my partner's… delightful personality."

The knight responded, "No need to apologize. We're sorry if we caused you to panic. It's a common reaction from most people we meet. And it's okay. Your partner is quite a bundle of joy."

"Regretfully so," Weiss agreed. "So, you said something about Blake?"

"As I mentioned earlier, we just wanted to understand what was happening with your friend. Her emotions are so intense that they are causing harm to herself."

"You can sense emotions?" Weiss asked, intrigued.

"Yes, me and my sisters have the ability to feel the emotions of others. Though some of us are better at it than others."

"Wait, 'sisters,' as in plural? There's more of you?" Weiss inquired.

"Yes, there are four of us. I am the second oldest," the Knight of Despair revealed. "Servant is the youngest." She sighed, watching Ruby and Servant playfully roll around on the ground. "Every single one of them is troublesome, but I love them."

Weiss felt a pang of insecurity about her own family as she heard about the knight's sisters. Like the knight, she was also a middle child, but it seemed like she didn't have much going for her except being the heiress to the Schnee company. Winter, her older sister, had become the right hand of the general in the Atlas Military, while her relationship with her younger brother Whitley had worsened over time due to their father's favoritism. Weiss, on the other hand, felt that she was simply the heiress to a name that was scorned by many. Before she could delve deeper into those thoughts, the knight's voice brought her back to reality.

"Apologies for bringing up bad memories," the knight said, noticing the despair in Weiss's heart. "Unlike me, look around you. See what is around you. Your friends, family, people you desire to protect. One day, they will disappear without you noticing. Cherish what you have, for when it is gone, do you despair over it."

Weiss was struck by the knight's words. She had been so focused on her role as the Schnee heiress that she had neglected her role as a sister and a friend. Her contact with Winter and Whitley had been minimal since she left the family house. Perhaps it was time for her to reach out to them and try to reconnect. Pushing those thoughts aside for now, Weiss turned her gaze back to the tall Abnormality, feeling a mix of curiosity and respect.

"Thank you," Weiss expressed her gratitude.

The Knight of Despair shook her head, "There's no need to thank someone like me for that."

"Nonsense, it's the least I can say to you."

Surprise appeared on the Knight of Despair's face, which then transformed into a gentle smile. "Well, we never properly introduced ourselves. May I know your name?"

"Weiss Schnee, heiress of the Schnee Dust Company and member of Team RWBY," the white-haired girl said with a bow.

"A nameless knight, forgotten by the people, but pleased to make your acquaintance," the knight bowed as well. After their introductions, they stood facing each other. The knight, however, began to chuckle. "My, my, it's been a long time since I've encountered a princess, or rather, someone who carries the presence of a princess.

"You've seen a princess?" Weiss wondered, disregarding the fact that she got called a princess before realizing who she was talking to. Facepalming, she continued, "Of course, you've seen a princess, you're a knight!" She then sighed. "Apologies, it's just that I've also seen a knight lately, but recently, he… doesn't really act his title." She recalled the multiple "pick-up" attempts of a certain blonde member from their sister team.

In response, the Knight of Despair chuckled once again. "Maybe I should teach this 'knight' how to properly treat a lady." Weiss joined in on the laughter. "Well, I would love to stay and chat longer, but I need to go find my other sisters for now. We can continue our conversation at a later time," she suggested.

"Absolutely," Weiss agreed.

The Knight of Despair enjoyed her conversation with Weiss and decided to give her a little something in return. "Here, a present for you," she said, pointing to Weiss's face

"A present?" Weiss questioned, before feeling something on her cheek. Quickly, she pulled out her Scroll and opened the camera. She saw a black tear-shaped mark on her cheek. She remembered that Abnormalities in the Library would give "gifts" to those who gained their favor. Did she receive one? She felt grateful, but at the same time, having a scar on the same side as the gift looked a bit odd. "Thank you, but is there a way to hide it?"

"Just think of it as not being there, and it will disappear as long as you want it to. But it will come back if you choose to," the Knight of Despair explained.

After expressing her gratitude once again, Weiss turned her attention back to Ruby and the little green-haired girl, who were now playing around. Instead of rolling on the ground, they were stacking chairs to see who could sit on top the longest. Since the blue-haired Abnormality could float, it gave her an unfair advantage over Ruby, who could barely keep herself stable before jumping off when the chair fell. As the blue-haired Abnormality approached them and asked the little one to come with her, they left.

Weiss couldn't help but feel a bit joyous about this encounter; the next time she saw the knight, she wanted to hear what kind of stories the knight journeyed through. However, a slight chill crept up her back. She turned her gaze towards the stack of chairs and heard footsteps approaching. Weiss knew exactly whose footsteps they were and feared the worst.

The owner of those footsteps had the uncanny ability to make anyone feel bad about themselves while verbally abusing them. The Grimm would probably back off after hearing her. Even Professor Goodwitch looked to be in shambles after getting scolded by them for trying to supervise their studying time.

"WHO'S STACKING CHAIRS?" Tiphereth yelled out.

SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE FLOOR–

Surrounded by the vast expanse of bookshelves, Yang and Blake found themselves engaged in a heated argument. It was a rather unfortunate sight to witness, especially considering they were not only teenagers but also partners for the next four years.

"You don't understand! I'm the only one who can do this!" Blake asserted.

"No, you don't understand!" Yang turned around, her fiery red eyes blazing. "If Roman Torchwick walked around that bookshelf, what would you do?"

"I'd fight him!"

"You'd lose!" Yang exclaimed, pushing Blake away in frustration.

In retaliation, Blake attempted to do the same. "I can stop him!" However, Yang remained steadfast, unmoved by Blake's efforts.

"You can't even stop me," Yang remarked, pushing Blake once again, causing a stack of books to tumble over. Before Blake could regain her footing, Yang extended her hand, offering it to Blake. As Blake grasped Yang's hand, Yang pulled her up into a warm embrace, holding her partner close. "I'm not asking you to stop. I just want you to take a break. Not just for yourself, but for the people you care about."

"Hahaha!" Laughter interrupted the tender moment between the partners, causing them to break apart and turn their attention to the source. At the end of the bookshelf corridor stood two individuals, observing them. "That's what true love is all about! Caring for the people you love is like, totally the most loving thing one can do, right, King?"

The speaker was a fair-skinned girl, slightly shorter than Yang and Blake. She had light blue hair that transitioned to a purple hue towards the ends, with two strands of hair curling outward. Her captivating yellow eyes and unique outfit, consisting of white tights with pink accents, a layered pink skirt, a pink shirt with white sleeves, and a large pink ribbon on her chest, drew attention. She sported wing-like adornments on her shoulders and a pink and black heart clip in her hair.

"You're goddamn right! Love is what brings happiness! And happiness leads to the most enjoyable moments!" The second person chimed in.

They were a girl with dark skin and flowing white hair. She wore an elaborate yellow dress that fell just above her knees and short black heels. Her striking emerald green eyes fixed upon the two as she began to approach. Completing her ensemble were an intricate golden necklace and detailed bracelets. Though simple, she exuded a stunning presence.

As the white-haired girl approached, Yang couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She instinctively took a step back, pulling Blake along with her.

"Who are you?" Yang questioned, her voice tinged with caution.

"We noticed some negativity in that girl's heart," the white-haired girl replied, pointing towards Blake. "Being the heroes that we are, we decided to offer our assistance—" However, before she could finish her sentence, the light blue-haired girl pushed past her companion and rushed towards Yang and Blake.

"Hey! You mentioned fighting this 'Roman Torchwick,' right? Right?!" she exclaimed, getting in Blake's face. "That would make him a villain, wouldn't it?!"

Startled by the sudden intrusion, Yang raised her hands in a defensive gesture. "Whoa, whoa, back up. Mind your own business."

But the eager girl continued to press forward, disregarding Yang's request. "Tell me! Tell me! Tell me! TEL—" Before she could finish her sentence, the dark-skinned girl swiftly struck her with a karate chop to the head, causing her to lose consciousness.

"Shut the fuck up. You're scaring them." Once she saw that she was on the ground, unmoving, she dusted her hand as if she touched a dirty object. Then she placed a foot on the girl's back. "Fucking Queen, obsessed bitch. Sorry about that, she gets excited over anything related to bad guys, so can you not say anything about it?"

Both Blake and Yang watched with a mix of curiosity and concern as the girl, now known as Queen, twitched on the ground under the foot of the dark-skinned girl. The slight red tint on Queen's face hinted at the true nature of her character. While Yang felt the urge to shield her eyes from the scene, Blake's mind began to draw parallels to a book she had read, trying to make sense of the situation unfolding before them. It was the dark-skinned girl's intense stare that snapped Blake back to reality.

"Um, so what exactly do you want from us?" Blake cautiously inquired.

"To help you," King responded matter-of-factly.

Blake couldn't help but question further, "Why would you want to help us?"

"As I said, we're…" She looked at the girl beneath her with disgust on her face. "...I'm a hero. Anyways, the name's King. And anyone who stands in my way will face the consequences! AKA, my fists!"

"I thought heroes were supposed to be good," Yang pondered aloud, struggling to understand the idea of a hero who would resort to violence against others.

"Well, I never said I was a good hero," King clarified, causing both Blake and Yang to grasp the kind of person King truly was.

Blake interjected with curiosity, "Wait, your name is just King? What about your last name?"

King casually placed her hands behind her head and replied, "I don't have a last name. I lost it a long time ago. Me and the others don't have real names either. We simply go by what others call us."

Blake's realization struck her like a bolt of lightning. "You're an Abnormality!"

"Yup, took you quite a while to figure it out," King remarked. "I mean, how could 'I' be normal? I'm a king, baby! They recognized my worth, and I live up to that."

Before she could continue praising herself, the voice under her interrupted her, "But, like, you're totes weaker than me, LMAO. Imagine, like, being the king in chess, cuz that's like what you are–useless," Queen started to laugh maniacally.

Instantly, King's bracelet suddenly emitted a blinding golden light, causing both Blake and Yang to shield their eyes. When the light subsided, King's bracelet had transformed into a massive golden gauntlet on her right arm. The gauntlet bore a pattern similar to King's clothes and showcased a bright orange gem in its center. As King pulled back her fist, it seemed as though she was about to deliver a powerful blow to Queen's face. Instead, a golden glyph appeared beneath Queen, causing her to fall through it and disappear, accompanied by a string of profanities.

With Queen gone, King's gauntlet transformed back into a bracelet, and she turned her attention back to Blake and Yang. "Well, that takes care of that," King sighed. "So... what were we talking about?"

Blake hesitantly replied, "Um, you being an Abnormality?"

King rolled her eyes. "That's already been established. What were we discussing before that?"

"We were talking about you helping us," Yang chimed in.

"Ah, right," King nodded. "First things first, what do you need help with?"

Both Yang and Blake looked at each other. Did they really want to tell this stranger, let alone an Abnormality, about their personal problems? If they had anything to go off of, they shouldn't have talked to her at all. Despite all that, Yang was the first to reply.

"I think we're g–"

"King!" A voice yelled out in the distance, cutting off Yang's voice. "King!"

"Oh, scratch that, gotta go!" King said as she started to walk away, but before she could disappear, she turned back and shouted, "Don't forget to be happy! If everyone's happy, then you should be happy!" With that last comment, King walked away.

Left bewildered by the encounter, Blake and Yang turned to face each other, their minds buzzing with confusion. They struggled to comprehend what had just transpired.

"What the hell just happened?" Yang questioned, still in a state of disbelief.

Blake, feeling a slight headache coming on, responded, "I don't know. Let's just... go back to Ruby and Weiss. They're probably worried about us right now."

"Yeah," Yang agreed, as they both made their way back to their teammates, hoping to find some solace and make sense of the bizarre encounter they had just experienced.

10 MINUTES LATER–

After the Knight of Despair and Servant of Wrath left Ruby and Weiss, Tiphereth came by and shouted at them. It mainly consisted of their future as huntresses and that they were playing around instead of either studying or training. When Yang and Blake returned, they too faced Tiphereth's wrath, being chastised for not being able to control the other half of their team. Despite Yang's annoyance with the smaller blonde girl, she chose to endure it to spite Weiss to show that she was more "mature."

During the scolding, Weiss brought up the two Abnormalities they had encountered, and Blake mentioned that they had also encountered two other Abnormalities. As they described the four individuals and Weiss showcased the gift she had received, Tiphereth already knew who they were. Before she could finish her thought, Tiphereth grunted in annoyance, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Those four weren't supposed to leave–," Tiphereth grunted before cutting herself off. She pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance. Sighing, she spoke, "I'm done with you four. Now, I gotta deal with four other girls."

The yellow librarian proceeded to walk towards one of the bookshelves, ultimately disappearing completely, leaving Team RWBY both confused and relieved that they were not the ones being yelled at. Since their homework session had been interrupted, they decided to pause for now, with Yang's growling stomach prompting them to seek out some food before calling it a day.

"Hey! Who wrote on my homework?" Ruby called out. Someone had drawn a blackened face with white crying eyes and a big creepy smile on her homework. Despite the destruction of her homework, Ruby strangely found herself liking the drawing and decided to keep it. Pocketing the paper, she swiftly joined her teammates, unaware that a jester-like figure was watching her.

The jester laughed silently before fading away, leaving behind nothing.

FLOOR OF LANGUAGE, THE LIBRARY–

"Why do you hate the wolf?" Ren asked as he took notes using his Scroll.

Silent followed Ren's question, indicating that this was very much a personal question. He and his team watched as the Red Riding Hooded Mercenary paused all movement. A low growl could be heard, but nothing more than that. After a few seconds, she appeared to have calmed down.

"He fucking killed my grandma," she grunted, recalling those memories. "Then, he fucked me up, almost killing me. However, he forgot one thing: to check if I died. The bastard left me there, in agony and sadness, trauma and hate filled my entire being. All those emotions just turned into one thing. Revenge."

"That's… horrible," Pyrrha commented.

"Bong," BongBong agreed. Although she saw terrifying amounts of horror in Lobotomy Corp. and became a bit numb to the despair that followed, BongBong could understand where the mercenary was coming from. The pain of having someone close to you die, you go on a rampage and swear revenge at all costs. It was a cycle of the City.

"After I turned 15, I just followed wherever the damned wolf went," Little Red explained. "I don't care how long it's been, just as long as he was dead, I would rest peacefully."

"What about Lobotomy Corporation?" Ren remembered the Abnormalities being in there. "Weren't you contained there?"

"I wasn't contained, I voluntarily let myself in to get the bastard," she explained.

"Interesting… What did you think about the other Abnormalities?" Ren asked. He was just curious as to what Abnormalities thought of each other.

"Not much," the mercenary responded. She only knew a select few or killed the others. "There are two I'm most familiar with: Funeral and Freischütz. Although I won't tell you their stories, they're similar to me, at least. As far as I know, both of them are on the second floor of this place. Although, I'd rather not meet them again."

"But, wouldn't it be better to talk to people you know?" Pyrrha asked.

"Hell no. Those two are nicer than I'll ever be," Little Red laughed, "but, they're way more fucked up than me. I just want to kill the wolf, but they'll kill you for just talking to them. If you want to talk to them, be my guest, however, don't mention me. I don't want a bullet in my ass because of you."

Finishing up his notes, Ren pocketed the Scroll. He got the gist of the Little Red Riding Hooded Mercenary's mental state. Needless to say, she was relatively mentally sound, but whenever the wolf was mentioned, she would get increasingly tense and somewhat hostile. However, all of this was information he could've gotten from the people who originally contained her and studied her.

"If we're done here, I'll see myself out," the red-hooded mercenary said as she stood up. Sheathing her weapons, she started to walk away from the group. Team JNPR and BongBong watched as she disappeared behind the dark bookshelves. Silence followed as they stood looking at each other, but it wasn't long until someone broke it.

"Well, that was eventful," Pyrrha commented.

"Yeah…" Jaune paused, before remembering what he originally came here to do. However, since the whole fiasco with the Abnormalities, he wouldn't have enough time. He would just have to pull out his last trump card. "OH! Uh, hey guys. Uh, thanks for coming to help."

"No need to mention it, Jaune," Pyrrha smiled.

"Yeah! It was cool to see an Anbo-thingie for the first time!" Nora spoke with Ren nodding, agreeing with his partner.

"Bong," BongBong said as she saluted.

"Well either way thank you guys. You're the best. I would stay and talk but I'm kind of in a rush to do something right now, so I…" Jaune started to walk away from the group, before taking off full sprint. "Gotta go!"

Bewildered by their team leader's action, the rest of Team JNPR looked stunned as they tried to follow Jaune and ask him what was happening. However, he disappeared from their sight and they stopped chasing. They turned back to BongBong who was watching, a little amused, but told them what Jaune was looking for in the first place.

"BongBong, Bong, BongBongBong."

"NO WAY!" Nora screamed out loud, earning a headchop from the blue-haired girl to quiet down. Once she did, she resumed speaking, "We gotta go watch this!" She grabbed both Pyrrha and Ren, and started to sprint after Jaune.

Once the group of kids left, BongBong just looked back to see one section of the bookshelves in shambles. Claw marks, bullet holes, and blood lay everywhere.

"BongBong Bong…"

BEACON ACADEMY–

"My my, a beautiful day~." Chesed took a sip of his coffee as he sat on a bench. "And some coffee to enjoy it~."

He was content with this. The Patron of Social Sciences closed his eyes for a moment, savoring the warmth of the sun on his face and the smell of fresh grass and coffee. The world seemed to slow down, and for a brief moment, he forgot all about the City and the despair that followed his life. It was as if time had paused just for him to enjoy this perfect moment.

Students bustled by, the facility greeted him, and the birds chirped. Nothing could go wrong.

"I lied!" A familiar boy's voice called out. Then, a guitar started to play. "Weiss Schu–nee, will you accompany me, to the dance on… Sunday!?"

The blue librarian froze, his hand trembling, nearly causing him to drop his cup of coffee. He struggled to complete his thoughts, overwhelmed by the emotions that flooded him. Without looking back, Chesed abruptly stood up and hastily walked away, leaving the scene behind.

The intense reaction and his swift departure hinted at a deep disturbance within Chesed, leaving those around him to wonder about the thoughts and emotions that had gripped him at that moment.

Author's Note:

Since I got some positive feedback from the chapter with WhiteNight in it, I decided to do a chapter dedicated to some of the popular Abnormalities. Little Red and the Magical Girls are some of my favorite Abnos, and they'd fit right in with the story. Other Abnormalities like Nothing There and MoSB will be in this story, I just don't know where to put them. Another thing to note is that I'm pairing the Magical Girls with Team RWBY because I felt like the Abnormalities describe the girls in a way.

Servant of Wrath/M.G. of Courage & Ruby - Servant fits Ruby way too well, for many reasons. For one, Ruby is the most likely candidate to charge ahead without thinking if she can protect someone. During Initiation, Ruby charged ahead to fight a Deathstalker, showing courage. She is too trusting and wants to make a lot of friends like how Servant wants to be friends with the Hermit and Beozzi. However, if they reach their limit, a different side of them can come out.

Knight of Despair/M.G. of Justice & Weiss - Both use rapiers, fight for their own sense of justice, and despair whenever they can't do it. In the past, Weiss struggled with hardship after hardship. Her family was the main source of her despair; her father didn't care for her or her siblings, her mother became an alcoholic, her sister left the family, and her little brother mocked her. To run away from that, she decided to go to Beacon instead of Atlas Academy. If she had stayed in Atlas, she probably would've fallen into despair. Moreover, regarding the Justice part, after the whole fiasco with finding out that Blake was a faunus, she starts to question the justice that surrounds the treatment of the Faunus. There, she decided to fight to restore her family's prestige by taking over the family company.

Queen of Hatred/M.G. of Love & Blake - Blake is a prime example of a mix between hate and love. She hates the fact that humans mistreat the faunus and that the faunus are also becoming terrorists but loves both sides. She loves her father but hates how he just gave up. Regarding Adam, she hates and loves him, for whatever reason. There are probably more comparisons, but I'll leave that out. Also, Blake is literally the main love candidate for most of the characters for some fucking reason: Yang, Ilia, Sun, and Adam, like what the fuck.

King of Greed/M.G. of Happiness & Yang - While I considered pairing KoG with Blake, Blake being happy didn't fit as much as Yang does. I can most likely say that Yang is probably the greediest on her team and it stems from her abandonment issues. Her greed for trying to find love and happiness lies in the fact that people leave her. Summer left the family for unknown reasons that she'll never know. For almost her entire life, she has been searching for Raven, trying to understand why she left. When Yang lost her arm and became depressed, Blake wasn't there. Moreover, it just seems like Yang is greedy in that she wants someone, someone to be there for her. However, that was resolved at the end of Season 6 when she found that person in Blake.

You can disagree with my personal opinion or my explanation, but they are my opinions, you're free to say what you want about it. Also, I kinda smushed the two episodes about Yang and Blake because I feel like those parts are kinda... meh. I just didn't see where to fit in the Library's influence into those parts so I decided to just skip it. With that in mind, the next chapter is probably going to focus on the dance. Either way, if you see a mistake or something wrong, just tell me and I'll be sure to correct them when I can.
