This story follows on from the epilogue of Bringing Hope Back. The Grant Family return to Hope Valley for the summer, will they find peace and happiness they seek or will troubles from the past come back to haunt them. This will be a weekly posting for now. Elizabeth follows Charles back to Hamilton after he proposes to her in the schoolhouse. Charles and Jack think she has accepted Charles' proposal of marriage. Is this all a misunderstanding? Can Jack and Elizabeth find their way back to each other after her indecisiveness? This story is set in the time frame of the show. However, the storyline differs from it.

There are now more Mounties for Nathan to work with. They had helped save his life and Amy was beholden to them and she had vowed to make good with her life. There is a sea captain who needs to be reunited with his wife at Hope Valley and now there is a Mountie Captain from Fort Clay who has entered Elizabeth's life. A young Mountie gives his life so that a young girl could live.

"I've met charmers like him before. The flower soon withers on the vine." Elizabeth said those words to Abigail shortly after Lucas' arrival in Hope Valley. About a year of marriage and Elizabeth starts to realize the truth of those words. However, when she finally hits rock bottom, the hand held out to her in love is one of the last ones she would expect.

This is the 6th story in a series about Nathan, Dee, Allie, and baby Christopher Grant, with one on the way, who live in Hope Valley in their new home with grandparents Archie and Emily Grant. He had expected to be more upset but somehow he felt a peace about it and was excited about what else the future might hold for him.

Picking up at the end of S8e11. Lucas walks off and Elizabeth finally faces the fear that she has been running from. A redemption fic that aims to restore Elizabeth to a woman worthy of Nathan's heart. Title based on the hymn Amazing Grace "was blind, but now I see."

Season 9. A devastated Nathan looks to recenter his life. Faith learns that medicine cannot heal a broken heart. Elizabeth and Little Jack embark on a new journey as they bring Lucas into the fold. And new faces arrive in Hope Valley. (Written with all characters in mind, focusing on a few as they find new love and move forward together.) LucaBeth, Nathan/Faith. IN PROGRESS.
