After awakening in a void with mysteriouscreatures and a familiar man, Raiden falls from the sky and meets people unknown to him. His memory fails him as he finds himself in a gone by era.

Chapter Two - A Gone By Era

Hall of Origin

Two men open their eyes after awakening from a deep slumber despite the battle they were in mere moments ago. They examine their surroundings and notice the glowing translucent patterns on the floor. Further away a circular barrier of ethereal light keeps away the distant void of nothingness.

Raiden examines his surroundings and notes that it's completely silent except for the faint vibrations that he feels from the floor. Just as he goes to stand, he feels pain coursing through his body as blood leaks from his open wounds. "Where am I?"

Kai walks around the room shakily due to his reduced depth perception. He reaches the edge of the barrier and attempts to reach out with his arm towards the abyss but is stopped by an invisible barrier. "Anyone here?"

Kai turn towards Raiden, who he just noticed, and walks over to him, "Oi you look pretty messed up there. Got any idea where we are?" Raiden looks towards him and noticed Kai's missing eye, "I could say the same for yourself and as for your question, I don't have a clue either."

Suddenly a bright light flashed in the center of the room as a figure appeared. The creature could only be described as majestic as it appeared as a large white equine with a body covered in white fur. It has a wheel-like structure on its back with a gray, vertically-striated underside. The striated pattern has similar recurrences on the underside of its mane, tail, and face. Its four pointed feet are tipped with gold hooves. Its long mane juts away from its head, and its face is gray, with green eyes and red pupils, and a green circular pattern below its eyes. The being also has a streak of gold coloration on its head and ears that point upward. Its neck is fairly long, with two pairs of extrusions to the sides, and a flap-like feature on the neck's underside that is colored white like much of the body. The creature turned towards both men and spoke,"Welcome to my realm, located beyond both time and space. It is unprecedented that thou art here. I am that which humans call Arceus."

Both men look on in shock at the divine creature and admire its ethereal form. Kai shakily points an arm at Arceus, "Your the supposed creator of the world are you not?"

Raiden registers the man next to him but doesn't recognize him and speaks up as well, "Show some respect when in the presence of a divine being!"

Arceus lands on the ground and roars at them, "Silence you fools! Thou have no idea what your strife has caused to the universe!" The men looked at each other in confusion as they can't remember what they did. Arceus notices this and clears up their confusion, "Thou humans ruptured a hole through the fabric of reality and entered my domain at the climax of thou's bout! It shouldn't be possible for mere humans to possess the power thou do, even if thou are descendants from the Dark World."

Raiden stares at Arceus questioningly, "If I may speak freely creator?" Arceus gives him a short nod and Raiden continues, "Why are we still alive? I would think tearing a hole in reality would've killed us, so how is it we still breathe?"

Kai chimes in with his own question, "And why don't we remember this supposed 'battle' or better yet why don't we have any memories whatsoever? I barely remember my name and some random shit!"

Arceus stays silent for a moment as they trot around the room, seemingly contemplating their answer before responding, "Thou lives because thou destiny hasn't truly begun. As a consequence of thou's foolishness thou memories are moot, they are irrelevant to your destiny." Both men feel the celestial pressure radiating from the Pokemon, causing shivers to tremble down their spines as they fall to their knees.

The men try to think of some way to plead their case but realize there's no way they could convince a deity to give their memories back. Raiden unsurely tries to gather more information, "What is our destiny Lord Arceus? If we accomplish this will we have our memories restored? Will we be able to return to wherever home is?"

Arceus shakes their head at them, "I cannot return what is already lost, perhaps with time they can return to thou. As for returning home, that is something I cannot assist thou with. Thou must find their own way."

Kai seems to shake with anger as he calls out to Arceus, "So that's it? You're just gonna dump us somewhere without any of our previous knowledge to help us?! That's some bullshit and you know it 'deity'!"

Arceus doesn't acknowledge Kai's anger and instead continues speaking, "I cannot speak of thou destiny as it goes against my own laws. Thou will forget this meeting ever occurred anyhow. It is time for thou to leave my domain. However, I shall give thou a clue that will remain engraved in thou mind." Raiden and Kai pay attention to his next words, unaware as Arceus makes the floor beneath them glow brightly, "Find the Original Dragon and stop the catastrophe."

Both men's eyes widen at that before Kai abruptly shouts, "Oi is that all we get?! How is that supposed to help us if don't know where the fuck it is?!"

Arceus turns away from the men as it walks away from them, "That is all I can offer thou. Pray that one of thou succeeds if the other falls. Goodbye Raiden Kamikaze and Kai Yoshiro."

Raiden notices the glowing floor before quickly standing to his feet, "Uhh my lord? How are we suppos-" Raiden is cut off when he and Kai fall through the floor and disappear into the void.

Jublife Village - Hisui Region

A older man wearing traditional Japanese clothing is seen sitting in an office as he stoically listens to a young man and woman dispute over the same topic again.

"I've been telling you that the rift is a sign of Almighty Sinnoh's power of opening up space in this region Adaman!" A young woman with blonde hair and blue bracelets stated.

The young man with blue-green hair and a neck ring in front of her scoffed at her statement and retorted, "Oh come on Irida! You're misinterpreting that Almighty Sinnoh's has spacial powers when it actually has temporal powers that could've easily made that rift!" Adaman crossed his arms as smirks to himself believing his argument sound.

The two continue their argument as Kamado shakes his head at them and sorts through the Survey Corp documents about their observations of the rift. He reads that the rift has started pulsating but nothing else of note has happened.

Just as Kamado was reaching for another set of documents his office door bursts open as a woman with pale blue hair enters the room out of breath, "Commander Kamado! There is urgent news to report!" The clan leaders immediately quit their bickering as the woman remembers their presence as well, "My apologies clan leaders but it is imperative that you two hear this information as well."

The two straighten up as Kamado clears his throat as he crosses his arms over his chest, "Very well. What is the urgent news Captain Cyllene?"

Cyllene catches her breath and speed walks towards the balcony door, "Follow me out here all of you." They all walk onto the balcony and turn towards Cyllene for explanation, "As you know already Commander, Professor Laventon has been observing the rift and so far nothing has come of it."

Irida impatiently cuts her off, "Is there a point to this Miss Cyllene? We were discussing important matters before you interrupted." Adaman surprisingly nods his head in agreement with Irida. Kamado simply huffs, "What is the point Captain?" Cyllene merely points up towards the sky as the group eyes widen when they see the rift actively pulsating and expanding outwards.

Adaman keeps his eyes on the rift as he shakily asks his own question, "W-when did that start happening?" Irida's and Kamado's jaw dropped at the sight of the rift getting bigger.

Cyllene looks back towards the group, "It happened about 10 minutes ago and Laventon doesn't have a clue what to make of it. What's the plan Commander?"

Kamado steps towards the railing as he stares at the rift in contemplation and turns to the others, "The only choice we really have is to prepare for the whatever comes through the rift, if anything does come through that is."

Just as Kamado finished talking a deafening boom is heard from the rift to which everyone quickly looks back at. The rift rapidly starts expanding as they see two specks come out of the rift as their paths split off with the distant speck hurling towards the Cobalt Coastlands with the other heading in their general direction.

While everyone stares in awe of the rift, Irida speaks up first, "Hey doesn't that speck look kind of look like a human?"

Adaman examines the speck and notes it's humanoid shape but his eyes widen upon realizing something else, "It does look human, but isn't it coming towards us?" The human hurls closer towards them at a high speed.

Kamado acts quickly, "Get back inside!" He drags everyone inside quickly gets them behind something before the wall behind his desk explodes open. Their eyes widen in shock as the humans body bounces off the ground and out into the balcony where they're body breaks through the railing. They hear a loud smash from outside and the group of four lock eyes and quickly run downstairs and out of the building to investigate.

They see the torn up street created by the human and look further to see Professor Laventon, a middle-aged man with a pom-pom hat and a white lab coat, who was attempting to calm down a trembling Akari, a teenage girl with a white bandana and red scarf. Cyllene runs up to them in concern, "Are you two alright?"

Laventon pats Akaris back in a soothing manner, "We're fine Captain. We were just leaving the Wallflower when something almost crashed into young Akari, so she's a little shaken up." Cyllene moves closer and helps calm down the young girl just as Beni comes out to see the commotion.

Beni walks up to Kamado and the clan leaders as they stare at the sight of a man slumped over the caved in bridge. Beni looks to Kamado, "Did he come from rift Kamado?" Kamado merely nods as Beni asks another question, "Is he even alive? Falling from the sky, smashing through a building and crashing into the street kills most people."

Kamado stoically reaches for a pokeball but doesn't open it, "Everyone back away from the man! The Galaxy Team will handle this." The civilians quickly step away as Kamado and Beni approach the unknown man. "You there! If you can hear me sta-" Kamado is interrupted by a groan that came from the man as he shakily picks himself up to his feet.

The first thing they notice about the tall man was his bloodied and burned state. Kamado sees deep cuts littering the man's chest as he wheezes out breathes. Burn marks are etched onto the man's legs and face but the more prominent injury is the man's arm which is still leaking blood. However, the most odd thing to Kamado was the fact that the man was producing sparks from his body mysteriously. The man takes a step forward as he turns his head to examine his surroundings before his eyes land on Kamado. The man finally speaks after what seems an eternity, "Where am I and who are you?" Thunderclouds form over the village as thunder booms loudly overhead.

Silence befalls everyone, waiting for Kamado to come up with a response. Kamado notes that Beni seems to palm one of his pockets but Kamado subtly shakes his head before turning back to the man, "I am Commander Kamado of the Galaxy Team and you are in the region of Hisui. Now who are you?"

The man takes another shaky step forward as his chest sparks again as he speaks slowly, "My name is Raiden Kamikaze. Hisui you say? This region doesn't sound familiar to me."

Beni stands next to Kamado, "Where are you from Mr. Kamikaze and how did you get those wounds?"

Raiden grimaces at him, "I'm from ... actually I don't remember where I came from and I also can't recall how I received these injuries." He attempts to lift his right arm but receives a stabbing sensation from his punctured arm which causes him to stumble to his knees.

Kamado stares impassively at Raiden as he can hear others whisper about the mysterious man. Adaman and Irida step closer towards Raiden in concern as Adaman talks first, "Hey Raiden you feeling alright there pal?"

Irida raises her eyebrow at Adaman's obvious observation and attempts to get more information about the man, "What the moron meant say is how are you creating electricity from your body? Are you truly human or something else?"

Raiden glances down at himself and tilts his head in confusion, "I don't remember anything at all miss. My body hurts and I don't how I got here. Although I have a question for you all. Do you know where is the Original Dragon?"

Silence spreads through the gathering crowd as they look intimidated by the fierceness in Raiden's eyes but suddenly a voice speak up, "The Original Dragon? I've heard of that legend once..." The crowd parts to see Professor Laventon mumbling to himself as he motions for Akari to hand him his journal.

Raiden eyes widened briefly before they narrow as he gets to his feet and strains himself to walk toward the man, "You know it? You will tell me everything you know or I'll get that journal myself."

Kamado and Beni shove Adaman and Irida behind them as they draw their weapons, "Security Corps protect the civilians and the Professor! Stand down Raiden, this is your only warning!"

Raiden ignores them as he keeps marching towards them as the sparks grow brighter, "I must learn of the Original Dragon and its whereabouts. You shall not stop me from achieving my-" Suddenly, Raiden stops walking and coughs painfully. As he wipes his mouth he sees blood and his mind finally catches up to the state his body's in and falls to the ground in agony.

Silence permeates through the crowd as they watch Raiden fall unconscious and deathly still. Cyllene speaks up, "Is he dead?"

Beni walks towards the man as he kicks his body over so Raiden's facing them, "Doesn't matter if he is, he was going to attack us. We were surprisingly lucky that he succumbed to his wounds."

Irida watch's Raiden's body and sees his chest rise a minuscule amount and walks towards him, "Wait! He's still breathing."

Adaman follows behind her, "Then he can still be saved!" However, Beni stops them from getting closer as he blocks their path, "You shall do no such thing since this is our village and seeing as he landed here we will decide his fate."

Professor Laventon stares at Raiden contemplatively as he try's to find a solution to the situation and the answer quickly comes to his mind. He whistles loudly, which grabs everyone's attention, "If I may speak my mind Commander Kamado?" Kamado sharply nods at the scholar, "So my opinion? I say we keep him alive for the meantime and before anyone says anything allow me to explain." Beni had his mouth already open in rebuttal but quickly shut it at Kamado's glare.

"Anyways, my first point is that we don't know if Raiden has a benefactor or others watching over him, so if we were to bring harm to him we may cause a future problem." He turns towards the crowd and sees some nod their heads and continues his argument, "My second point is that we can gain information from Raiden about what's on the other side of the rift and how he has powers despite appearing human." Laventon sees that he's starting to convince the crowd and goes for his final point, "As for what my third and final point is. I simply don't wish to see someone die in front of us. It's not right since we can do something to help him, even if he did want to fight us."

Beni stays silent as he mulls over Laventon's points and after a moment takes a deep breath as he turns back towards Kamado, "You already know my stance on this Kamado. Ultimately it's your decision as the Commander. You have my support old friend."

Kamado stoically nods back at him and kneels next to Raiden's downed body to check his pulse. He determines the man is barely alive and calls out to Cyllene, "Call for Pesselle and her team to get him patched up. This man must survive if we're to learn more about the rift."

Cyllene leaves to retrieve Pesselle but stops a moment to drag Akari with her. Adaman and Irida walk towards Kamado as they ask, "I assume we're allowed to question him as well when he awakens Kamado?"

Kamado nods at the duo, "Of course you can, its only fair." He turns his head to Beni, "Beni, I ask that you inform Sanqua and the Construction Corps to repair the damages that have been made."

Beni deadpans at him before sarcastically remarking, "Sure Kamado, not like everyone in the village didn't see a human comet crash into the village center." Kamado rolls his eyes at Beni and walks back towards the Galaxy Building.

Soon Pesselle and the Medical Corps arrive and use a stretcher to carry Raiden's body into the building as they work to save the man. Laventon and the clan leaders remain near the crash site as the Professor talks to them, "What an interesting day today was right?"

Adaman scratch's the back of his head as he sighs, "I definitely wasn't expecting a human to come through the rift. One that sparks nonetheless."

Irida shakes her head at him and comments, "While the problem is resolved we still have another potential problem." The two men turn towards her in confusion as she continues, "When he does eventually wake up will he even remember anything? You heard him when Kamado spoke to him he seemed ... lost? Like he didn't know what he was doing here."

Adaman hums thoughtfully, "Well the only information we gathered from Raiden is his name and the Original Dragon?" He turned towards Irida, "You know anything about that? I only know of the name not the legend itself."

Irida shook her head, "I never heard of the name before. Perhaps the clan archives might have something on it."

Laventon clears his throat to get their attention, "Well I happen to know a bit about this Original Dragon." The clan leaders lean closer to hear him clearly, "The legend itself isn't from Hisui but from the region of 'Frontiara'. However, my notes aren't too accurate since they're from word of mouth but if you two can find out more from your clan archives then we can provide Raiden with some information and in turn we get some from him."

The clan leaders nod at the Professor but just as they were about leave Adaman stops looks over his shoulder at Laventon, "Hey Professor? What if he truly doesn't know anything when he wakes up? What will the Galaxy team do then?"

Laventon tilts his head in confusion before he grins at him, "Don't you worry about that Adaman. I'll figure something out. Plus I could use an another assistant or bodyguard for my expeditions!"

Adaman chuckles at his response while Irida smiles in amusement as they both leave to village to return to their settlements. Laventon walks back towards the Galaxy building as the thunderclouds over Jublife Village slowly dissipate.

Meanwhile in the Cobalt Coastlands a large heatwave mysteriously dissipates as well. However, it went unnoticed by the region's inhabitants.

Notes

College takes up a lot of my time so it'll take awhile to upload a chapter. Sorry if some characters aren't represented properly so they will be somewhat OOC. In my story the Unova Region is named Frontiara, which combines "frontier" with the ending "-ara" to describe a rugged and untamed region akin to the American Wild West. There will be a lot of OC's after Chapter 4. The Dark World will be explained eventually and why Raiden and Kai are special.

Constructive Criticism and Feedback is appreciated. Uploads will be random or sporadic so don't expect a schedule. Adios!
