Gotham City...
A city that has stood the test of time for many, many years.
Gotham has faced much in its long history, but none more so than the corruption within the police department, the justice department, City Hall, and pretty much every other notable business that had a foothold in Gotham City.
The citizens of Gotham faced constant danger from the Gotham Mafia, crime families that called Gotham their home! The mob bosses like Carmine Falcone, Rubert Thorne, Arnold Stromwell, and the mysterious Black Mask were untouchable as they had the highest forms of the legal system in their pockets.
This allowed the crime families to extort every legal business in Gotham City. This included construction companies, meat processing plants, nightclubs, bars, waste management facilities, etc.
Anyone brave or stupid enough to go against the crime families usually disappeared, because many of the highest forms of law enforcement were in the pockets of the crime families, including the former police commissioner Gillian B. Loeb.
Many of the citizens wanted to leave Gotham, but for various reasons they couldn't find themselves to leave the place they called home all of their lives. Some stayed because they didn't have the money to move, well others were 'encouraged' by the mobsters and dirty cops to stay, otherwise they would be serious consequences.
The honest hard-working citizens of Gotham City felt like the city would die in its own cesspool of greed and corruption, that was until a white knight, or in this case a Dark Knight night came to save the city from itself!
Almost five years ago, a mysterious vigilante who dresses like a bat appeared to save Gotham City from the crime bosses and corrupt officials!
No one knew who he was, all they knew is that he played on the superstitions of criminals by dressing up like a bat, a creature associated with darkness and bad luck!
And he was bad luck-to those on the wrong end of the law!
Fronts for illegal businesses, destroyed!
Illegal gambling halls, absolutely wrecked!
Shipments of illegal substances, never to be seen again!
Criminals who tried to extort or Rob legal businesses, found the next day beating up and tied up!
This mysterious vigilante who people soon called Batman waged a one-man war against the Gotham Mafia, against every single crime family! Batman, or the cape crusader, or The Dark Knight of Gotham as many called him successfully did with many couldn't, he took the corruption!
Within months of Batman's appearance, many of the city hall officials and corrupt police officers that were in the mafia's pocket ended up retiring early, or their illegal activities will revealed to the public! Some left the city entirely, but not before a few people noticed that they appear to have been roughed up.
Many suspected that Batman 'persuaded' them to retire or leave Gotham entirely, otherwise their illegal activities would be exposed to the public, and they would have to watch over their shoulders for the rest of their lives for a dark shadow that haunts them in the night.
Even he wants untouchable crime bosses were not immune to Batman!
Arnold Stromwell ended up turning states evidence against his own crime family.
Carmine Falcone went deep underground.
Rupert Thorne tried to fight back, along with Black Mask.
But no matter what they did, they couldn't do anything the Batman since they didn't know who he even was! They try desperately to find out, but every informant and snitch in the city didn't know the answer to it, even when they were pressed for answers.
Now, it wasn't only Batman who was fighting back!
Then honest Police officer Jim Gordon use the opportunity to wage a political war against commissioner Loeb. Gordon used the opportunity Batman had created to replace many of the high ranking positions of the police department was honest police officers, ones who couldn't be bought with dirty money.
Eventually commissioner Loeb voluntarily stepped down before he disappeared. To this day no one is sure if he was killed by the angry crime bosses, or was forced to leave Gotham by Batman!
No one really cared as Loeb didn't care about Gotham City at all. All he cared about was making more money by getting into bed with the Gotham Mafia! The person the citizens of Gotham did care about was James Gordon, who was unilaterally voted as the next police commissioner!
With Batman and now Police commissioner James Gordon taking the helm, real progress to root out the problems that Gotham had could now start!
Within months of taking office, commissioner Gordon and Batman made sure that hundreds of Mobsters who had gotten away with their crimes up so now got life sentences! Slowly but surely, the Gotham Mafia was losing its army of killers and thieves!
Criminals who once thought they were untouchable now feared going out at night, fearing that they would earn the wrath of Batman!
Some of them were still stupid enough to go out at night and try to make a name for themselves in the criminal underworld, but they quickly regretted it when they crossed paths with a large bat like creature in the night!
Now, many citizens of Gotham City doubted the existence of Batman. Some said that Batman was nothing more than a rumor created by frustrated citizens of Gotham to scare the criminals! Many said that it was commissioner James Gordon and the honest police officers of the GPD, who finally took a stand against the Gotham Mafia was to have the credit.
Still, many claim they have seen a dark shadow in the night every time a criminal is taken down. Some even claimed that they've seen a dark armored vehicle drive through the dark streets of Gotham, which people have affectionately called the batmobile!
Whatever the case, the citizens of Gotham City feel like for the first time in forever, their City was saved from the corrupt cesspool that was slowly destroying it!
That wouldn't be the case forever as soon, a threat that not even Batman would expect will come to Gotham and try to take it over!
It is a threat that no one in the world has ever seen before has no one has ever expected it to have occur.
It all revolves around an organization that calls itself Team Rainbow Rocket!
An interdimensional organization that dedicates itself to spreading its influence and power through the use of powerful creatures known as Pokemon! Team Rainbow Rocket uses these creatures that can shoot electricity and breathe fire to take over whole world's!
And soon Gotham will be its next Target!
Will Batman be able to save Gotham City?
Only one way to find out!
Okay, before I say what I want to say, let me set a few things straight!
Some people think I'm some author who's no longer on this website! I'm not him or her! I'm a new writer just trying to make their debut! Some people write similar to one another, but that doesn't mean they're the same person!
Now that I said that, I can Begin what I want to say.
I came up with this idea after finally watching the new direct to video movie, Justice League x RWBY part 2.
The movie was...okay, even though I thought the Justice League was underpowered... by that I mean weaker then they're supposed to be. I mean, it's not the first time they've had an invasion, so why are the Grimm suddenly such a threat?!
I mean, they fought Darkseid and his parademons before! And that's pretty much the same thing!
Anyway, after I watch that movie I decided to play some Pokemon Ultra Moon, I was playing the DLC when this idea suddenly hit me!
What if Team Rainbow Rocket invaded Gotham!
That could totally happen!
And before you ask, this is before the Justice League so there will be no Superman or Wonder Woman, so don't ask.
They would probably want the technology of Wayne Enterprises or something!
As I kept thinking about it, I thought that Giovanni would make a perfect villain for Batman!
So, I decided to give this a try and see where the story goes from here.
I'm either going to send Batman to Kanto, Hoenn, Kalos, Alola, Galar, or Paldea.
I want him to use at least one of the battle gimmicks of Mega Evolution, Z moves, Dynamax, or Terastalization, as that's probably the only way he's ever going to defeat Giovanni and his team of powerful Pokemon.
I'm thinking about going with Alola, since one of its legendary Pokemon is literally a bat like creature, but I'm not sure.
It could go with any one of these regions to be honest.
Well, that is all I wanted to say!
So give Team Batman Rocket a chance!
I want to see where it goes!
I'm not the first person to come up with a Batman x Pokemon fanfiction, but I hope I won't be the last!
