"Leaving from Postwick, two friends travel across the Galar region for adventure and excitement. Victor, with Cinderace, Corviknight, Pikachu, Toxtricity, Silicobra, and Arctovish. And Gloria, with Inteleon, Orbeetle, Sirfetch'd, Impidimp, and Slowpoke. Victor competed in the Gym Challenge, then Galar League Champion Cup, where he made it to the finals before losing. Now, leaving behind Arctovish with his mom, Victor, joined by Gloria are traveling to the Isle of Armor to start training under Master Mustard, former champion of the Galar League."

"A Hero's Welcome"

A Corviknight Taxi is flying toward the Isle of Armor, with the driver looking down slightly, "Here we are, on the final approach to Isle of Armor."

Inside the cab, Victor and Gloria are looking out the windows, amazed as they look over the Isle of Armor, including seeing a Wailord in the distance.

"Incredible," Gloria says.

Victor smiles, before looking at the Armor Pass in his hand.

"An Armor Pass, it's needed to grant passage to the Isle of Armor," Leon explains.

"And it's the home to a dojo run by Master Mustard, a former Galar League Champion," Leon continues. "He trained me and taught me pretty much everything I learned."

"Master Mustard," Victor looks at the Armor Pass.

"Master Mustard saw your battle against Darek, and he thinks you have a lot of potential," Leon says. "So he wanted to train you, especially to help Cinderace master its Dynamax power."

Victor looks back out the window, "I wonder what my training will be like?"

Near the Isle of Armor station, as two people further down the beach are watching.

"So today's the day the Master's newest student arrives?" Klara asks.

"Yeah, the little showoff should be here any minute," Avery crosses his arms.

"Oh, don't tell me you're worried about some little kid, Avery," Klara turns to him.

"Don't be ridiculous, Klara," Avery turns away.

Klara smiles.

"I don't believe how big Isle of Armor seemed," Gloria says, as she and Victor exit the station, with Klara turning to look at them.

"I hope we don't get lost," Victor says, looking around. "So which direction should we go?"

Gloria sighs, "Perhaps we should be looking out for buildings when we're in the sky."

Suddenly a Poké Ball floats out in front of them, with Victor and Gloria looking at it confused, before the Poké Ball flies around them, then flies over to Avery and Klara.

Avery catches the Poké Ball, "Welcome to the Isle of Armor, I am Avery."

"And I'm Klara," Klara waves at them.

Victor and Gloria walk over to the pair.

"That was incredible," Victor says.

"Yeah, how did you make your Poké Ball float?" Gloria asks.

"I levitated it with telekinesis," Avery says, as he starts to spin his Poké Ball in the air above his finger, before it and a couple more Poké Balls float around his head. "I came from a family of psychics."

"Psychics, wow, can you also read minds and teleport?" Gloria asks.

"No, I can't…" Avery says, annoyed, as the floating Poké Balls lower themselves slightly.

"I don't think I have ever seen a person using psychic abilities, only Pokémon," Victor says.

Avery smirks, as the floating Poké Balls lift themselves back up, "Human psychics had existed for generations. A number of them even became Gym Leaders."

"Oh, are you a Gym Leader?" Victor asks.

"No," Avery swiftly says, as he closes a hand.

"So what are you two doing here?" Gloria asks.

Avery clears his throat.

Klara smiles, "We are Master Mustard's top two students."

"That's why we're here," Gloria says, before turning to her friend. "For Victor to train under Mustard."

"Tch, mister special," Avery says, under his breath.

Klara suddenly claps her hands together, "I know! Why don't we battle to see what we each can do." She leans to Gloria. "You too, of course."

"But I'm not here to train under Mustard," Gloria says, with a sweatdrop.

"Maybe, but you are still a Pokémon Trainer," Klara crosses her arms, with her eyes closed. "And when two Trainers' eyes meet, they should battle." Klara's eyes open as she grins.

"Sure, I guess so," Gloria says, before she looks at Victor and they nod their heads.

Victor throws a Poké Ball, "I choose Cinderace!"

"Cinder!"

Gloria throws a Poké Ball, "I choose Inteleon!"

"Intel!"

Avery grins, as a Poké Ball floats around him, before he holds out a hand and the Poké Ball flies ahead, "I choose Abra!"

"Aba! Aba!"

Klara kisses a Poké Ball, before throwing it, "I choose Venipede!"

"Veni! Veni!"

Victor's Rotom Phone flies up, "Abra, the Psi Pokémon, This Pokémon uses its psychic powers while it sleeps. The contents of Abra's dreams affect the powers that the Pokémon wields."

Gloria's Rotom Phone flies up, "Venipede, the Centipede Pokémon, Its fangs are highly venomous. If this Pokémon finds prey it thinks it can eat, it leaps for them without any thought of how things might turn out."

"Okay then," Avery snaps his fingers. "We'll give you the first move."

"We will?" Klara asks.

"Alright, Cinderace, use Double Kick!" Victor raises an arm.

"Cinder!" Cinderace jumps ahead.

Avery grins, "Abra, Teleport!"

"Cinder!" Cinderace kicks at Abra, who disappears from sight. "Cinder?!"

Cinderace sees Abra reappear to its side, "Aba."

"Cinderace, keep going!" Victor calls out.

"Cinder!" Cinderace jumps at Abra, launching a kick but Abra disappears and reappears, dodging. "Cinder! Cinder!"

Cinderace keeps on trying to kick Abra, as it disappears and reappears, dodging each and every attempt.

"That's enough," Avery starts. "Stop this with Psychic!"

"Aba," Abra reappears, as it gives a small glow. "Aba!"

Cinderace starts to launch a kick, when it glows slightly, before being launched backward, "Cinder!"

"Cinderace!" Victor calls out.

"Intel!" Inteleon is running toward Venipede.

"Veni."

"Inteleon, use Pound!" Gloria instructs.

"Venipede, Poison Tail!" Klara instrusts.

"Intel!" Inteleon continues to run ahead, before jumping and bringing down its hand.

"Veni!" Venipede jumps back to dodge, before its tail glows purple and it turns, striking Inteleon with its tail.

"Intel!"

"Inteleon!" Gloria calls out.

"Cinderace, let's try Pyro Ball!" Victor calls out.

"Cinder!"

"Inteleon, let's go with Snipe Shot!" Gloria calls out.

"Intel!"

"Cinder!" Cinderace kicks a pebble off its knee, before kicking it, turning it into a fireball. "Cinder!"

Inteleon's eye gleans, before it holds out a finger and fires a beam of water from it, "Intel!"

"Aba!" Abra disappears from sight, dodging the fireball.

"Veni!" Venipede rolls into a ball and rolls away, dodging the beam of water.

"Intel!" Inteleon barely dodges the fireball.

"Cinder!" Cinderace barely dodges the beam of water.

Avery grins, "I was right before. They're just children. This Victor must've gotten lucky to get so far in the Champion Cup."

Avery turns to Klara, "We should end this 'training exercise'."

"Right," Klara smiles, before looking ahead. "You heard him, Venipede!"

Venipede stops rolling and calls out, "Veni!"

"There has to be something we can do…" Victor says.

Corviknight starts to spin close to Scrafty.

"Scrafty, Sand Attack!" Darek calls out.

"Scraf!" Scrafty swings its hand across the ground, throwing sand in Corviknight's face.

"Knigh!" Corviknight spins past Scrafty, before coming out of its spin.

"Wait, maybe we could do that!" Victor realizes. "Cinderace, fire a Pyro Ball into the beach!"

"Cinder!" Cinderace kicks a pebble high into the air, before kicking it, turning it into a fireball, launching it into the beach, creating an explosion of sand.

Avery and Klara look around, unable to see through the sand in the air.

"What is this?!" Avery calls out.

"Gloria," Victor says to his friend.

"Right," Gloria responds, before looking ahead through the cloud of sand. "Inteleon, listen for Venipede and use Snipe Shot."

"Intel," Inteleon closes its eyes, as it listens through the cloud of sand.

"Veni, Veni."

"Intel!" Inteleon's eyes open, before it holds out a finger and fires a beam of water from it.

"Veni!" Venipede rolls into a ball and rolls away, barely dodging the beam of water.

"We're waiting for you to make your move," Klara says, as she holds out her hands. "Venipede, Poison Tail!"

"Veni!" Venipede rolls through the cloud of sand, blowing some of it away, before jumping up and swinging its purple glowing tail, striking Inteleon. "Veni!"

"Intel!" Inteleon is knocked down, before trying to push itself up, with its face turning a shade of purple.

"Inteleon!" Gloria calls out.

Victor holds out an arm, "Cinderace, Ember!"

"Cinder!" Cinderace starts to shoot a series of small fireballs, blowing away some of the sand cloud.

"Aba!" Abra disappears from sight, dodging the small fireballs.

"Cinderace, watch the sand and use Pyro Ball!" Victor instructs.

"Cinder!" Cinder kicks a pebble off its knee, as it sees some of the sand getting dissipated, before kicking the pebble, turning it into a fireball. "Cinder!"

"Aba!" Abra reappears and gets knocked back by the fireball.

"How dare… a child dares to damage my Pokémon!" Avery angrily thinks.

"Aba!" Abra gets angry.

Abra starts to glow, as it gets taller, with a spoon appearing in its hand, as it stops glowing, "Kada! Ba!"

"Abra evolved!" Victor realizes.

Victor's Rotom Phone flies up, "Kadabra, the Psi Pokémon, This Pokémon's telekinesis is immensely powerful. To prepare for evolution, Kadabra stores up psychic energy in the star on its forehead."

"Okay, then," Victor holds down his Rotom Phone. "Cinderace, use Flame Charge!"

"Cinder!" Cinderace starts to run ahead, as it's surrounded in flames.

"No you don't," Avery holds out a hand. "Psyshock!"

"Kada! Ba!" Kadabra holds out its spoon, launching shockwaves of energy, which collides with Cinderace, knocking it back.

"Cinder!"

"We're not done yet," Avery spreads out his arms, "Kadabra, Confusion!"

"Kada!" Kadabra spreads out its arms. "Ba!"

"Cinder!" Cinderace, still in midair, is surrounded with energy before getting slammed onto the ground. "Cinder!"

"Cinderace!" Victor calls out.

"Cinder…" Cinderace lies on the ground, with its eyes whirling.

"Intel…" Inteleon gets on its knees, with its face a shade of purple.

"Veni," Venipede turns to face Inteleon.

"Wait, we surrender," Gloria says, as she steps forward. "I want to treat Inteleon's poison."

"Okay, then," Klara crosses her arms, with a smile. "That was too easy. Pathetic."

"Cinderace, are you okay?" Victor helps his Pokémon up.

"Cinder, Cinder," Cinderace nods its head.

Victor smiles, then looks over at Avery and Kadabra, "That was a very good battle, Avery."

"Likewise," Avery says. "Dumb luck must be how he got through the Champion Cup."

Victor and Cinderace walk over to Gloria and Inteleon as she holds back a bottle of Antidote.

"How's Inteleon doing?" Victor asks.

"Intel," Inteleon smiles.

"I'm glad I remembered to bring Antidote this time," Gloria says.

"Cinder, Cinder," Cinderace says to Inteleon.

"Intel."

"We should start heading to Master Mustard's dojo," Victor says.

"Good idea, you two go ahead," Avery says. "Klara and I will catch up." He points down the beach. "The Master Dojo is down that way."

"Thanks a lot," Victor says. "We'll see you later."

"Yeah, later," Avery says.

Victor, Gloria, Cinderace, and Inteleon each wave, as they turn and start to walk away.

Klara and Avery watch as Victor, Gloria, Cinderace, and Inteleon are walking down the beach.

Klara leans toward Avery, "Oh, Avery, the dojo is in the opposite direction."

Avery grins, "Oh, really."

"Victor and Gloria's arrival on the Isle of Armor started with a bang, as they made some new colorful 'friends', who could've led our heroes astray. What could happen next?"

Not too far, in the opposite direction, is the lone building, the Master Dojo. On top of its roof is the Pokémon Kubfu, who stands tall and looks out at the distance, "Kub, fu."

"Find out, as the journey continues…"
