Hi guys! it's me tyrondore here. i'm planning on putting my first fanfic on hiatus while i write this one.
Don't worry. While i write this short fanfic, i will be continuing to write the other crossover. And since i'm putting it on a hiatus, i decided that next chapter will be the size of all the other chapters combined and more.
i had this idea for a while now and i have to write before me dementia comes back around.
Also exams happened.
Rain poured onto the windows of a library.
The Librarian had left a while Ago and it was empty. though one light could be seen from the window.
A lone man stood in the empty library. he had jet black hair, eyes. And clad in jeans, leather jacket and combat boots of the same color.
The library was silent. safe for the occasional sound of cars passing by the library.
The man was sitting on a chair and reading a comic book. He closed the book and got up from his seat, walking away into one of the nearby piles where they kept comics.
He put the comic back in place and wandered through the library, though one thing was concerning.
he wasn't walking. He was floating across the library floor.
"Now what to read?..." The man spoke in a young yet slightly deep voice.
"Meh. im down for some light novels" he said as he floated to the light novel section.
Browsing through the collection of light novels, He laid eyes on a particularly interesting one.
"Records of the floor cardinal weapons Eh?" he read the title out loud.
He opened the book to find a illustration of four weapons.
A sword, a spear, a bow and finally, a shield.
"hey, atleast someone recognizes the potential of shields" he stated as he continued reading through the novel.
It spoke of a world plagued by calamities known as waves where the four heroes. each carrying one of the weapons. would have to fight fight the waves of calamity together to stop them.
"Hmm, interesting plot. Hope the execution is just as interesting."
The book continued about how the heroes would suffer through major events. betrayal, false accusations, Etc.
"Why the hell would you betray one of the only four people who are capable of saving your world?" he said.
Rolling his eyes. he continued, An obvious plot device that isn't implemented properly.
The book then went into further detail about the weapons.
The spear could launch devastating beams of energy, and could be thrown to deal damage.
The sword could use slach attacks that cause different types of effects.
The bow would shoot arrows that could do many things.
then, as he turned to the page of the shield.
It was empty.
"Huh? it's empty... oh i see" He said as a magic circle encircled him.
"Oh great. another magic snare" then suddenly all went black.
He opened his eyes to see a dark room around him, with what looked like a light coming from infront.
"O, great heroes please save our world!" A voice said from infront of him.
Getting up, he noticed three other boys standing next to him.
one was blonde, clad in a dress shirt and a red hoodie.
The other, a bit shorter then the blonde, Black haired and clad in a turtle neck and blue hoodie.
The third, and shortest, olive haired and clad in a green blazer and white button-up shirt.
Each one held a weapon in their hand. A spear, sword and bow respectfully
leaving only, a shield.
The jet black haired man looked at his right arm and came face to face with a small shield.
It was silver in color and had a green gem in the middle, small downward slopes covered it's edges.
'Huh, neat.' he thought as he digressed and refocused on the others. he noticed they all seemed to be arguing with the blonde one standing infront of everyone shouting.
Leaning to the other black haired boy. he whispered in his ear.
"Hey i Spaced out, what happened?" he asked to the other boy.
"The spear guy is shouting about payment for his work. Despite just getting here" The young boy answered.
"oh boy. i hope i don't have to get stuck with him" the older black hair joked.
"Name's Casseus Blank" The older black hair introduced himself.
"Ren Amaki" The blue clad boy answered non-chalantly.
"I expect full payment for my actions once i am down with these waves!" The blonde man answered.
"You will get your payment great hero just please! negotiate with the king about your price and he will give it to you" one of the robed men said.
"This is starting to get annoying" Said Ren.
"I know" Replied Casseus "Want me to shut him up?"
Ren just looked in confusion at Casseus before the spear's shouting came back. even louder this time
"Do it!" Ren slightly shouted as he put his hands on his ears.
"I'm not doing shit until you-" the blonde continued only to be interrupted by the feeling of a slam on his head. Falling limp onto the floor.
"*Deep breath* ahh some peace and quiet" Casseus said as Ren and the other boy looked thankful that Casseus shut Motoyasu.
"Now come on. it's rude to keep people waiting" Casseus said as he swung the unconscious hero over his shoulder
"P-please follow us great heroes" The robed men said, still a bit shocked by Casseus's sudden action.
"I apologize on behalf of this guy. it must be pretty bad dealing with these types of people" Casseus said as he followed the robed men with the other three in tow.
"Well-well it's not every day we summon the heroes here" One said from the front.
Casseus slowed down his speed and let the olive haired boy catch up to him.
"Name's Casseus"
"Itsuki, Nice to meet you" the olive haired boy said. " Did you really have to knock the guy out? you could've just told him to lower his voice or-" he continued only to be cutoff by Casseus. "Itsuki" Casseus began. "The guy was summoned to a different world and had people begging him to save their world and the first thing he did was ask for payment. i mean, what kind of greedy asshole do you have to be to do that?" Casseus continued.
"That's... Actually right, huh" Itsuki said.
"Oh, sleeping beauty is waking up" Casseus said as he set the blonde man on the wall next to him.
he groaned a but before rubbing his head "Man that was a weird dream" He said before opening his eyes to see the other three boys.
"Huh? am i still dreaming?" He said in disbelief.
"Nope" Casseus simply answered
"Well what happened? all i remember is yelling at the the robed men for my payment and then..." he said before his eyes widened. "you!" he said pointing his spear at Casseus "You smacked me on the head!"
"You we're starting to annoy all three of us" Casseus replied. "So i knocked you out"
"You have no right to-"
"Great heroes, please" one of the robed men said. "the king is waiting patiently for us"
"We discuss this later. Now how about we don't keep the king waiting?" Casseus said.
"Tch" the spear hero said annoyed.
Casseus extended his hand his hand to lift the spear hero up, which said hero slapped away.
walking through the hallways. the four heroes were quietly admiring the inlays and designs of the walls and pillars of the room.
well. the three others mostly. Casseus had seen far more awe-inspiring architecture throughout his years.
The three boys infront were admiring the intricate carvings of the walls and statues.
Casseus paid more attention to what was outside a window. A country that looked very similiar to 17th century Europe in terms of architecture and so on.
Continuing their walk to the throne room. they were greeted by a huge white wooden door. "The king is waiting great heroes, but we ask that you line up so that the king can see all of you" A robed man said.
The aligned themselves in terms of height, Casseus obviously being the tallest. "Dear god! you're huge!" the spear hero exclaimed.
" Oh really? i didn't know" Casseus said sarcastically causing he spear hero to pout. "Of course im huge, im fucking 2.10 meters (210 cm or 6'8-ish) tall."
"And here i thought i was tall" He replied.
"well atleast you're not Itsuki. i feel bad for all the 'why am i so small' moments he'll have to go through" Casseus replied.
"Don't worry. I'm used to it" Itsuki replied from the far left.
"Well let's enter" Casseus said.
As they opened the throne room gate they were greeted by a long room with (obviously) the throne right infront of it.
the indoor balconies were filled with people in fancy clothing, Most likely nobles.
they came up infront of the throne where the king sat on the left seat. leaving the right one empty. most likely for his queen.
"Welcome great heroes" the king greeted. "My name is Aultcray Melromarc the thirty second. and i am the king of Melromarc and her people"
"Please introduce yourself great heroes" the king said.
Itsuki was first to step up.
"Itsuki kawasumi, 16, highschool student."
"Ren amaki, 17, highschool student"
"Motoyasu Kitamura, 21, college student"
"Ca-" "Very well great heroes"
"We beg you to hel-" The king was cut off as he felt like he was incapable of talking
Casseus cleared his throat before talking.
"It seems you have forgoten me your highness" he said as Aultcray finally got the ability to talk again.
"Oh my-my apologies shield hero" the king stuttered from the little heart attack of losing his voice.
"Casseus blank, 25, traveller" Casseus introduced himself.
"Ahem" Aultcray cleared his throat" as i was saying great heroes, we need your help in saving the world from the waves of calamity"
"I refuse" Replied Motoyasu before the other three could even breathe.
"You took us from our world without our consent and then have the nerve to order us to help you!?" He continued.
"But great heroes! without your help we are done for!" The king responded in panic.
"I don't care that your world is in danger! it ain't my problem nor do i ca-" Said Motoyasu before being knocked out by Casseus again.
"What-what are you doing shield hero!" the king shouted panicking.
"I simply shut him up so we can talk like civilized men without a blonde cave man shouting"
"But you can't just knock him out everytime you get annoyed what about the other hero-"
"Your highness we both agreed that Casseus knock him out" Replied Ren making Aultcray grit his teeth back in his throne.
"No matter what it is! you are not allowed to knock other heores out! you might kill him!" The king was still trying to tell Casseus not to knock Motoyasu out again.
"Well it's either that or have him argue wih you for the next hour." Casseus started "And your choice?" He continued.
"Fi-fine let us continue with the meeting for now" the king answered still confused as to how the shield hero, a guy with the worst attack stat to ever exist. knocked out the spear hero.
"Well, i personally agree to help this world." Casseus began "I'm just in it to explore"
"I agree. though of course with compensation" Ren replied to the king.
"I also agree. but with the same terms as the sword hero" Itsuki then said.
"Very well then, legend states that when the heroes do in fact quell all the waves they will be rewarded handsomly" the king said. "Now please, check your statuses great heroes"
"And how do we do that?" Itsuki asked before having his question answered by Casseus. "Small square on the corner of your view. focus on it, it'll show you the status"
"Oh i see" Replied Itsuki as Ren had already opened his status screen
Opening his own status screen. Casseus read his stats.
Casseus blank.

Casseus looked in slight amusement at the screen. 'huh. Guess this world's status magic in incapable of putting my power into numbers. Can't blame it' he thought as he closed the screen.
"The reason we called you here is due to the waves of calamity that plague our world" Aultcray explained. "We thought we could take on the waves but as it proves by the damage to our country, we were not. So we decided to summon the heroes once again."
"Well why not investigate the waves?" Casseus said "If you can find the root of the problem you can just stop it and no more casualties will be taken"
"We would" Aultcray started "But we can't study something that's constantly attacking us"
"But with our help you could" Casseus began "As the heroes you tell us we are, we can group up during the waves to fight the monsters and keep them at bay, therefore we can protect researchers to study the monsters and find out what's causing the waves to happen in the first place, because where there is smoke, there is fire. and currently those waves are fireless smoke"
"For now, Rest great heroes. Your parties will be assembled tommorow" The king stated as the other three heroes looked confused.
"Why not just let us make a party? We are perfectly equiped to fight together" Itsuki stated.
"The four cardinal weapons have a restriction on them that will decrease level gain if they are nearby each other" The king answered Itsuki's question.
All of them simply nodded and turned around to be led to their rooms by the maiden.
of course with casseus carrying Motoyasu on his shoulder
Later. inside the room.
"That food was a bit weird but it tasted good" Itsuki stated sitting on a chair.
"Yeah, and the maid was hot as fu-"
"Who asked?" Casseus cut off Motoyasu.
Motoyasu just grit his teeth before going back to leaning on the chair.
Ren was Leaning against the wall nearby.
"This world is a lot like a game" Casseus stated sitting the couch.
"Yeah, especially Dimension wave" Itsuki replied.
"Huh? never heard of it. It's definetly more similiar to the PC RPG Emerald online" Motoyasu stated.
"What do you mean? PC games are old news, everyone now plays DMMO-RPG. it's definetly more similiar to Brave star online" Ren stated.
Casseus stayed silent
"And what about you?" Ren asked Casseus.
"It's embarassing how long it's taking you guys to realize things.." Casseus said
" Realize what? " Asked Motoyasu.
"You're all from different dimensions" Casseus stated making the other three heroes have an epiphany.
"That can't be possible" ok, maybe not all of them
"Alright let's compare our knowledge of basic things" Ren suggested.
"Who's the queen of britain?"
"Queen elizabeth the II" All three answered.
'Pfft. they ask questions about differences in worlds and then choose to talk about queen elizabeth' Casseus thought, holding back his laughter.
"Ok then... uh Who's the current president of Japan"
they all got different answers.
"Who won the great war?" Ren asked
"What great war?" Motoyasu asked.
"Well that answers that" Ren replied.
"So we are all from different dimensions?" Motoyasu said resting his head on his seat.
"Man, can't wait to explore this world" Casseys stated getting weird stares by the other three "What?"
"It's obvious you don't know" Motoyasu stated. "About what?" Casseus asked, "Let big bro Motoyasu te-"
"Im older than you Motoyasu"
"Fine, Let me tell you" Motoyasu Continued "The shield is the worst choice of tools and only losers choose it"
"And who taught you that?" Casseus retorted "A shield is more versatile that almost any other weapon"
"Nah that can't be possible. shields are bad" Motoyasu retorted
"You can use a shield to block, parry, you can sharpen the edges to make a blade, you can chuck it at people like a fucking boomerang,bash it in someone's face, Deflect any weapon coming at you and more" Casseus replied "So how the hell is a shield a bad weapon that only losers pick. Any warrior or fighter knows that a good offense is a strong defense"
Motoyasu was now starting to stammer seeing as he's wrong.
"They're not designed to be weapons! therefore they are not weapons!" He replied.
"Then i have a question, do you count Kunai as weapons?" Casseus asked. "Of course! they are used to harm others therefore they are weapons" Motoyasu said causing both Itsuki and Ren to slap their palms.
"Motoyasu" Casseus started. "By your logic shields are also weapons because i can harm people with it"
"But shields are not meant to be used as weapons"
"And kunais were originally used as a tool for farming, so your point is?"
"I-that's-it can't-i-i" Motoyasu stammered.
"Exactly. now be a good boy, turn your ass to bed, and go to fucking sleep. We have to wake up early tommorow" Casseus said causing Motoyasu to grip his spear so hard, his knucles turned white. he stormed off to his room and slammed the door behind him.
"See you at morning" Casseus stated as he went to his room.
Ren and Itsuki both went to their rooms as well.
Casseus, who closed the door behind him. had made sure it was properly sealed and no eavesdropping could be done by putting a spell on the door. started to analyze the shield on his hand.
"Analysis" He spoke. suddenly, a black aura had covered the shield around his hand and began analyzing the shield.
"Analysis complete" he heard a female voice say. "Hmm... so your a spirit?" He asked the shield on his hand. the shield obviously didn't retort as it is inanimate.
"Well, can i change your color scheme? Green and silver isn't exactly my style. Shake once if no, shake twice if yes."
Shake* *Shake*
"Thanks" Casseus replied before a black substance covered the shield. turning the shield itself black while the gem turned in to a deep crimson color "That's better" Casseus then proceeded to lay down on his bed and close his eyes for a good night's sleep. he would if he didn't get the devilish idea of seeing what the others we're dreaming about.
Casseus closed his eyes as his soul slowly left the body and wandered the rooms.
Ren was up first.
Casseus in his spirit form slowly parasited his way through Ren mind and into his subconcioussness to watch the dream.
in a barren land, a lone warrior stood in the middle of a battlefield. Hundreds of bodies covered the grounds. the warrior seemingly unhur- "Typical edgelord dream" Casseus said as he left Ren's subconcioussness.
Next was Itsuki.
"I am Itsuki Kawasumi! the prosecutor of justi- "Nope" Casseus got out of Itsuki's dream.
Next was the last person Casseus wanted to know what he was dreaming about. Motoyasu.
"Oh boy" Casseus said preparing himself "Here. we. go."
"Onii-chan"
"I have seen enough, i'm going to bed"
Next morning*
"i hope you got a good rest great he-" Aultcray started before noticing something strange " uhh shield hero, why is your shield black and red?" King Aultcray asked confused causing the other three to turn in confusion.
"Well, i just asked it to change it's color and it did" Casseus answered as simple as he can.
"You can't just tell a shield to change it's color and it just does there is no way!" Motoyasu was first to respond. "You agree with me you two right?" He turned to Ren and Itsuki.
"Honestly... i'm not really shocked Casseus can do that, i'm sure it's the least weird thing he can do" Itsuki was the first to answer. Ren was the second to respond.
"But one question, how did you exactly tell a inanimate object to change color?"
"Well first. You guys are stupid, second. The weapons didn't exactly exist before we came here, although most likely they did exist a long time ago since this is isn't the first time the heroes were summoned. There was a gap where our weapons didn't exist, so most likely not only are the weapons tied to the user. they are most likely alive since one look at our appearance can tell us that we were specifically chosen by the weapon rather than randomly picked by it. just look at the gems and then look at the colors of the clothes you guys are wearing. i'm an obvious exception since i wear black, but you all have colors that reflect the gem in your shields, Itsuki is yellow, Ren is blue and Motoyasu is red while my gem is originally green"
"You're saying that our weapons are alive?" Replied Ren to the long explanation. "Bingo" Casseus replied.
"That's impo-"
"Motoyasu if you open your mouth for even a bit i will personally cut off your dick and shove it up your ass so you can feel what those girls in your dreams last night felt, Loli lover" Casseus said causing both Ren and Itsuki to become confused.
"I-i didn't dream of anything last-last night!" Motoyasu stammered. "Besides, what makes you think i'm attracted to lolies. they are disgusting and everyone should-"
"Blonde hair, small red dress, a pair of wings on the back, the same size as the lengh between your foot and knee and a cutesy voice" Now Motoyasu realized he messed up.
"What is a 'Loli'?" Aultcray inquired
"Nothing-Nothing, it's not important your highne-" Motoyasu stammered as was cut off.
"Your highness, Loli are small little girls. And mister spear Hero over here is attracted to them" Casseus said causing the other two heroes and everyone else to get the memo and look in disgust at Motoyasu
"Pre-preposterous!" Aultcray shouted "The spear hero could never-"
"Your highness, you underestimate how disgusting humans can be" Casseus replied to the king who was to say the least, confused as all hell.
"*clears throat* No matter" Aultcray started. "Now, great heroes. we have summoned the best adventurers in the land to help you. and as Melromarc rules state, the adventurers shall choose who they want to go with."
As the adventurers went to their chosen heroes. Ren got 5 party members, Motoyasu got 4 Who were all Coincidently women, Itsuki with three. and Casseus with zero.
"Oh? that an unexpected result" The king said, his assistant then started whispering in his ear "It seems that rumours of the shield hero not being informed about this world have been going around"
"And? i don't need someone to join me. i can just summon party members" Casseus said as the king stared at him confused.
"That is impossible shield hero. unless you have-" The king said before suddenly stopping "are you even listening to me?"
"Who should i summon... haven't seen her in a while, she will be the sub DPS."
"Shield hero! you cannot summon party members"
"The secondary DPS will be... how about... yeah he'll work. bet the fucker is itching for a fight."
"I don't think he's listening to you your highness" (King's supervisor)
"And the tank will be... all right i decided" Casseus said as the king finally continued his speech.
"Does anyone wish to join the shield hero?" The king asked the other adventurers who all seemed to not want to change parties.
except one.
"I wish to join the shield hero" A voice said from Motoyasu's party. the voice revealed itself to be a red haired woman with a short sword strapped to her hip.
"Are you sure my dear?" The king asked.
"Yeah are you sure about this?" Asked Motoyasu.
"Don't worry! i have a good feeling about this" the red haired woman said as she switched to casseus' party
"If you wish, not that i really need the help" Casseus said to the girl.
"Oh please, you of all the other heroes need help" She said in a friendly tone.
"if you say so" he said as he refocused his attention forward
"Since the shield hero has the least amount of party members of the other parties, he shall receive an extra 200 silver in his funds." The king said as the heroes got handed their funds.
"Oh wait gotta change outfits" Casseus said before leaving. a black substance covered his body obstructing him from people's view. when the substance subsided, Casseus now wore a jet-black trenchcoat over his other clothes.
"And this" he said as he extended his hand forward, the black substance appeared again. extending to infront of Casseus' hand "force edge" he said as the black substance turned into a silver sword. the blade itself was about 2 inches shorter than casseus himself. it took the form of an ornate but fairly unremarkable sword. The guard takes a "W" shape, vaguely resembling horns. It has a spiral handle that leads to four skulls on the pommel with a spike at the top.
Slinging it over his shoulder, he walked out of the room "Come on! we have levels to gain" he shouted so that his party member will follow him.
if she wasn't confused as hell right now.
"That sword look ten times cooler than mine" Said Ren with a sad puppy face. of course, hidden by his hoodie
"That guy went on a huge tangent last night about how strong shields are and here he is using a sword" Shouted Motoyasu.
"How is he even handling a sword? when i touched that sword on our room's wall it told me i was not allowed to use any type of weaponry other than bows, does that only apply to me or..." Itsuki said before Ren interrupted him.
"No. we all have it, i found out when i rested my hand on a shield. got zapped simply because i touched it"
"same thing happened to me with the swords" Replied Motoyasu.
"The shield hero shouldn't be able to use any weapons in the first place!" Shouted Aultcray.
"Well, that's one more thing that doesn't surprise me about the guy" Itsuki added.
"Well, i better get going. farewell great heroes" The red haired woman bowed before leaving.
Outside the castle* "Where were you?" Asked Casseus seeing the woman gasping for air after following him.
"I...apologize...great hero... i'm surprised... you can... get so far in so little...uhh hold on... i gotta-i gotta catch my breath... fyew" she said as she rested herself on the wall.
"Here" Casseus said as he handed the woman a yellow bottle that had the image of a man running with the words 'Stamin-up' written all over. "What's this?" she asked taking the small glass container.
"think of it as a potion that increases your running speed" the black swordsman replied.
"How do i open it exactly?" she asked not having any experience with this type of bottle.
"Give me that" Casseus said as the red haired bi- woman handed him the bottle. he held it between two bicks in the castle wall and stuck the metal lid between them, quickly pulling the bottle downwards, the lid flew off and he caught it. before giving the bottle back to her.
taking a sip of the bottle, she expected to taste as foul as other medicince and potions. though surprisingly, it tasted pretty sweet, and her toungue felt a little bit sting-y after drinking it. "What was that? it tasted like sugar yet my toungue felt a little sting-y at the end"
"Well, one it's a drink from my world" Casseus lied 'Thank you richtofen' "And two. the reason you felt sting-y at the end is probably due to the acid in it" Casseus said as he started to walk away.
the woman followed him.
"Hey i didn't introduce myself, i'm myne sophia"
"Casseus blank"
"May i recommend going to a black smith first? i don't have that strong of equipment" the newly-named Myne suggested.
"That is bad. but no need" Casseus said as he stretched out his hand and the black sustance covered Myne. when it subsided, Myne was now donning a red suit of metal armor, her shortsword turned into a normal one. pulling it out, it reavealed a crimson blade with a red gem at the guard.
"This is- this is Awesome!" she exclaimed checking out her equipment.
"Isn't it? crimson flower armor and crimson petal sword. both pieces that enhance physical and magical ability of the user."
" now there's literally no need to even buy equipment! what are they even made from?" she exclaimed.
"That. i cannot say" Casseus said before walking away. "Come on sophia, we have monsters to kill"
"Yes sir!"
Outside the city*
"You guys call these monsters?" Said casseus holding a orange balloon-like creature in his hand. the creature was squirming and shaking in his palm.
"Well that's new" Myne replied. "Usually balloons fear nothing and attack everyone"
"Meh, *Poof* let's go deeper" He said as he destroyed the balloon in his hand. taking the dead creature's skin. he took two pieces. dropping one in his shield and the other... he ate it.
"Did you just... eat balloon skin?" stated Myne seeming disturbed by what she saw.
"yeah, we talk about that later" He replied "come on, we need to go deeper into the forest. maybe find something worthwhile"
"wait! it's getting late" Myne started. "How about we turn in for the night? i know a good inn nearby"
"well. i am in the mood to read so you get there before me and book the rooms for us, i'll get some books" replied Casseus walking back to castle town. "here, this should be sufficient for the night" he said handing Sophia a small bag of silver.
"i'll see you at the inn then!" she said as she ran to the inn.
later*
Casseus was currently on his way to the inn having picked up a few books from the library.
reaching his destination. he went inside the inn and searched the bar for his party member. he found her, though she was drinkig wine at her table.
"Oh boy, bet my future self a new haircut she's planning to accuse me of something like assault or attempted murder" he shook his head and went towards her.
"Ah shield hero over here!" she shouted to the armor clad man. "come join me!"
"I apologize" he replied "but i don't drink. now hand me my keys" he demanded from the young woman.
"oh come on the wine is-"
"Sophia, my. keys."
"Yes-yes h-here" she said as she panickly looked through her pouch and gave him the key.
"Thank you" he replied before abruptly leaving for his room. climbing up the stairs.
"Someone's in a bad mood" She said as she continued drinking her wine.
in the dorms, Casseus had removed his armor and sword sealing it inside the black voidspace.(name i chose for the ability). he now wore a simple red button-up shirt and black pants.
He sat in the desk on the left side of the room and began taking his books out of the voidspace.
he read all night attempting to translate the foreign language. in five minutes he had allready cracked it, the symbols all meant different vowels and sounds that could be produced. the dots indicated exclamation, interrogation and others depending on the placement and number of the dots. three points to the right of the letter meant a interrogation mark. four in the same place meant exclamation, while one dot meant a full stop, two meant a comma.
what came next was memorizing the letters, sounds they make and the meaning of them and it was allready easier than he thought.
He read all night through different novels and books, documentaries and bestiaries and more.
Right as he finished reading the books and putting them away, he layed on the bed and relaxed his muscles. closed his eyes and went to sleep.
Or at least he would have if it wasn't for the loud creaking of his door and it opening.
through the door came Myne. Still wearing her armor, she snuck into the room and started searching for something. "Where did he hide that damn bag!" she whispered loudly. Getting more and more frustrated by the second. "Fine! if i can't find his money, i'll take that sword. he doesn't deserve it anyway!" she began looking around the room and layed eyes on him. Creeping closer and closer to him, she slid her arm under his blanket and began searching. either she was stupid or thought he was a deep sleeper. 'Is this bitch seriously lifting the blanket of a sleeping man she's trying to rob?' He thought as myne slowly reached his chest and began feeling it.
"Gotta say" she began "For a demon you're quite ripped, i'll enjoy turning you into a sex slave" she sadistically said.
'I dread the day Motoyasu and you have a child, he'll make keyaruga look like a fucking newbie'
"tch" she said as she took her hand out "Nothing! alright, if i can't get your money i'll ruin your reputation!" she said she took out something from her pouch.
It was a purple piece of women clothing. she wrinkled and ruined it even more to make it look it was ripped by someone. with her bare hands. while not wearing gloves.
'Okay, even Keyaruga wasn't dumb enough to fill a piece of evidence with his fucking fingerprints'
"There" she said as she threw the piece of clothing under his bed. "See you tommorow, devil" she left while quietly giggling to herself.
"Now this is going to be fun" he said as he went to sleep ready to ruin this woman's reputation to the point of no return.
30 minutes later
"Shield hero! open this door right now" a knight shouted from behind the door.
"Allright,allright sheesh you guys are annoying you know that?" Casseus said exiting his room.
"Shield hero, you are hereby under arrest for-"
"Hey buddy, take these back to the library for me." Casseus said petting a snow white fox near his foot that just... appeared, the fox had the books in a cardboard box that was strapped to it's back.
"get that cursed pest!" A knight shouted at the fox. "you move, and i am going to make you into past tense" Casseus replied freezing all the guards in their shoes, letting the fox run away. he turned to the knights and held both hands forward, "You're not resisting?" A knight said confused "resisting would only cause headaches to me, and i'm not guilty of anything so i have no reason to in the first place"
"Lead the way" Casseus asked the confused knights who just ran with it, the knights led him through the city and to the castle, specifically the throne room.
there, the heroes and the king awaited. the king with the most hatefull scowl ever made. second only to Motoyasu's very own.
"You monster! i always knew you were evil, never thought you would be this barbaric!" Motoyasu shouted. Casseus only looked at him from the corner of his eye then continued staring back forward.
"What's the meaning of this anywa-" Casseus was asking before being interrupted by Aultcray.
"SILENCE YOU CURSED BEAST!"
"My dear, do you mind explaining what happened again?" Aultcray asked Myne who was cowering behind Motoyasu.
"Yesterday at night, the shield hero drunkenly barged into my room and attempted to-to" She said before she started crying into Motoyasu's chest.
"I can't believe a hero such as youself can-" Aultcray was cut off by Casseus. "Do you have any proof this actually happened? any evidence that i did infact assault her?"
"Why would Myne lie about something like assault!" Shouted Motoyasu. "Because she hates the shield hero, because she works for three heroes church, because she and her father over there both despise me. just to name a few"
"Father?" Motoyasu questioned. "Of course you don't know" Casseus shook his head. "Myne sophia is nothing more than an adventurer name. here real name is Malty S Melromarc, the first princess and the previous successor to the throne. who was stripped of her title after her mother found out she was, get this. a pathological liar and master manipulator which is why the second princess Melty Q Merlromarc is currently the heir to the throne." Casseus explained causing everyone in the room to become baffled by how much he knew.
"H-how do you onow so much?" the king's assistant seethed. "Well, there is more than what the eye can see. i simply exploited it" Casseus replied.
"Nevertheless, Sexual assault against a woman is punishable by death in this country!" Aultcray shouted in his seat. "Bring the guards! they will have all he proof we need to prove you a criminal!"
"your highness, we found this on the shield hero's bed." A knight entered holding the same piece of clothing Malty had thrown in Casseus' room.
"To think that a hero such as yourself would assault an innocent woman" Aultcray started. "Since you are a hero i can't kill you, but as punishment you are to give your sword to the sword hero and your sin will be told throughout all the lands"
"I will hand over my sword on one condition. If Ren can't carry it, he won't take it."
"A criminal like you has no right to make any demands!" Motoyasu shouted "Besides, that sword doesn't even look that heavy!"
"your highness, i agree to Casseus's condition" Ren said from the side anouncing his presence.
"Very well then." The king said and ushered Ren to take the sword. Ren walked up to Casseus who took his sword off hus back and flipped the handle to Ren while holding the sword by the blade.
Ren grabbed onto the handle, "You ready?" Casseus asked "Yeah. i think i am" replied Ren.
As soon as Casseus released his grip from the blade, Ren dropped the sword and held his hand screaming in agony.
"Protect the sword hero!" The king shouted and the guards stood around Ren, weapons drawn towards Casseus.
"Stop" Ren commanded "That wasn't him."
"well who else could it be?" Motoyasu shouted. "it's the sword. the sword was the what did this" Replied Ren.
"It's a sword! a sword can't burn you!" Shouted the blond caveman. "Well this one can" Casseus replied.
"Silence!, since the sword hero was not able to carry the sword the shield hero will be allowed to have it." Aultcray replied. "Now out of my sight you filth!"
"Gladly, but first i'll have my armor back" He said as he held his hand in Malty's direction who had her armor forcefully takrn off of her by an unkown force leaving her with nothing but her normal outfit she wore the day before. the armor set went back into Casseus' voidspace and he left. "Oh and another thing" Casseus said before he went out. he again held his hand in Malty's direction "Paralysis" He said as Malty dropped to the ground limp.
"Goodbye bitches!" he said as he slammed the door behind him.
