Rose Tyler was totally and completely exhausted. But then again, so was everyone on the TARDIS. The phonebooth/time machine Was in autopilot mode, behaving a hasty retreat from a planet whose name none knew, or actually cared to know. All rows new was that her Doctor was in danger from an army of conquering cyborgs, And the only thing on Rose's mind to protect her wife.However, it also gave Rose's Bad Wolf a chance to come out and play. And judging from the vast number of mechanical monsters that were sent to glory, the wolf had a damn good time.
But now, Rose was laying in bed, wearing nothing but the sheets and comforter on top of her bare body. The extended fam were apparently snoozing away: Missy, her poppet Clara, and Yaz. Rose herself was not exactly sleeping; aware, but not fully awake, Mind soothed By the sound of running water in the background. It's possible that she noted the water did stop running after a while, however she was just so relaxed it may not have registered.
What did register soon after was the warm, slightly damp naked body that attached itself to Rose's. Strong alabaster arms surrounded Rose, And the hands attached to those arms connected with Rose's hands. Soft kisses were applied to the neck of the Bad Wolf as she lifted the conjoined hands and sweetly kissed the knuckles of her Doctor.
"Mildred?" Rose called the Doctor by their rarely used first name.
"Yes, my love…?"
"I want this forever." Rose kissed the combined set of knuckles again.
Not another word was said that night, nor were sports needed. In the hundreds of years that the doctor had lived come up and the hundreds of years that Rose experienced, this was the happiest they had ever been. It was at that point that the pair drifted off to sleep. The doctor did not know exactly what rose was thinking, but what the Doctor was thinking is there had to be some way to make this last forever without ending. They knew there was only one possible way. That way posed many dangers, but the doctor nearly lost someone they loved before because they feared it would be too much. It had since been proven to be a false fear. This however with Rose Tyler. She carries the power of the wolf inside of her. That power, added to the powers of… If anyone could survive that combination, it would be Rose.
She was their forever. The Doctor, planting a final kiss on the back of her Wolf, knew the risk would be worth it. Their eyelids closed, and both were in loving slumber.
