My version of Sailor Moon...
Prologue: The Beginning
First there was nothing… only the void, empty and without meaning and from him came the first God, the darkness. But it wasn't enough, Chaos saw that there was only darkness and so he created light. Together the two gods filled the empty space, and created the cosmos. For over the millennia the two primordial gods shaped the Galaxies, so vast and ever expanding the gods knew they needed help, so the gods created a new breed of gods, there was Nyx daughter of Darkness and Goddess of the Night and Hemera Daughter of Light and the Goddess of Daytime. Together with the Darkness Nyx gave birth to her three children Hypnos, Thanatos and her youngest child the Moon while Hemera gave birth to Gia, Thalassa and Sun.
Working together the children of the night and the day created a paradise called earth which they would fill with life but unknown to the gods with the birth of man came the birth of something evil, Metaria a powerful demigod created from darkness. Jealous of the god's power she sought to destroy everything that the gods had built and take over cosmos. Chaos fearing what this malevolent entity would do created a powerful weapon and bestowed it on the child of the moon. Achelois guarded over the crystal until the day came when Metaria would attack. Achelois used the crystal to banish Metaria deep under the earth but at a great cost. Achelois lost her life in the battle against Metaria but not before charging her daughter Phoebe with the duty to protect the crystal and her kingdom.
Phoebe knowing that one day Metaria would be back again decided to use the crystal and endow eight tiaras with its power, the tiaras were then given to eight young girls with pure hearts to use their new-found power to protect Lunaris and its secrets, these girls were the first guardians of the moon.
Each Guardian held a different task in the Moon Kingdom: Saturn was given the Silence Glave a mighty weapon to protect the crown of Lunaris. Pluto was given the task of guarding the doors of time with the key to the underworld. Uranus and Neptune were given command of Lunaris' armies, Uranus led the troops on land, Neptune led them from the seas. The remaining four guardians were tasked with guarding the castles walls, protecting the crystal and the people of Lunaris. Phoebe hid the crystal from the world deep beneath the heart of Lunaris, where her descendants guarded its power down the line to the reign of Queen Serenity 1st and that is where our story truly begins…
