at the longneck nest, Cera was beginning to wake up from a good night's sleep.

Cera's POV

Cera: I woke up to my head hurting, but I don't remember banging it yesterday. Then I thought maybe I banged my head in my sleep. What happened yesterday? All I remembered was talking to Littlefoot. Then I went to the nest to go to sleep. I looked around and I saw something that shocked me. I saw Littlefoot's grandma and grandpa were asleep next to me. What the sweet bubbles had happened to me? I wanted to scream and shout, but I didn't want to wake them up. They looked so peaceful and quiet, unlike my dad who sleep rumbled so loudly you would think it was sky rumbles in a storm. I was surprised sharpteeth couldn't hear him in the Mysterious Beyond.

I decided to get up from the sleeping spot to go and meet my friends for breakfast near our favourite tree, but when I got up my legs wouldn't work as they started shaking, then I fell. The fall must have woken up the sleeping longnecks because Littlefoot's grandpa called out Littlefoot's name. I turned to face him, wondering who he's talking to, before he brought his head down closer to mine.

Grandpa Longneck: Littlefoot, are you ok?

I silently muttered to myself that I'm not Littlefoot, I'm Cera.

Grandpa Longneck: What's wrong, Littlefoot? You can tell me.

Cera: "I want to tell you, but I can't. I don't even know what's happened," I mumbled and tried to stand up, but I kept falling over my feet. I did feel taller than normal and my neck felt skinnier and longer and my head feels bigger and flatter for some reason. Maybe I've grown a bit in the night or I'm having a weird sleep story that I haven't woke up from. Then I heard Grandpa Longneck call again.

Grandpa Longneck: Littlefoot, I'm worried. What's wrong?

Cera: "What's going on? He thinks I'm Littlefoot," I giggled, thinking maybe the old longneck has gone mad. Well, that's what you get for living in a valley with an old bossy bigheaded threehorn. Sometimes I wonder if me and Littlefoot will be like my dad and Grandpa Longneck when we're old. I hope not, I would feel bad for Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Ruby and Chomper. It's probably bad enough putting up with us now, let alone when we're old, especially when maybe we will be eaten before then, by either them abandoning us in the Mysterious Beyond or Chomper and the others will get annoyed with us then let Chomper have threehorn/longneck soup. The thought of that scares me.

Or maybe they would just take pity on us and send us to a valley for mad old dinos. Thinking of that makes me giggle because I could see them doing that maybe as a joke, seeing what we put Grandpa Longneck and Dad through chasing after us when we go adventuring. "I wouldn't be surprised if he's gone a little crazy," I chuckled silently to myself, remembering our fight with Red Claw. Then suddenly I saw another shadow looming over me, so I panicked because I thought it's a sharptooth. I tried to run away from it, but my legs gave in each time I tried running. I fell then I tried to scream but it wouldn't come.

Then I remembered Littlefoot's grandma was sleeping and probably got woken by me. I wonder sometimes why longnecks have to be so big, couldn't they be around the same size as Dad? Then they wouldn't scare the treesweets out of me when they came behind me. Then I remember Littlefoot will be that big one day. Still not there yet, he's still growing so he says. Then he would make it his new game when he's bored. Then he would get Petrie and Chomper in on the game too.

Wouldn't want him to change, not just because he's my best friend, maybe he's more than that? I'm not sure how to explain the feeling I have for him but when I'm with him he makes me feel happy inside. I can't tell him that yet because I need to swallow my pride before I tell him how I feel, especially since I'm only now thinking about it myself. My dad or his grandparents couldn't find out especially because we would be exiled or taken away from each other. I don't want that. Why do things have to be more complicated now we are older? Sometimes I wish my mother was around. I could ask her things I can't ask Dad. And it's hard because the only girl I knew before Ruby and Ali was Ducky, and I couldn't talk to her about things without a nosy spiketail, longneck, flyer and friendly sharptooth following us around. I giggled with the thought.

Grandma: Is Littlefoot ok, dear?

Grandpa: I don't know, he's acting strange.

Grandma: He's running and falling over like he's forgotten how to use his legs.

Grandpa: It's like he saw a sharptooth and he's talking silently like in another way which is unusual for him.

Grandma: I know, he's even sounding more girly when he's talking, and his neck seems to be a little out of control. And he's tripping over his own feet.

Grandpa: Littlefoot, are you ok?

Cera: I saw them both watching me as I tried to tell them both that I'm Cera. I'm a threehorn, not a longneck. But they just looked at me like I was a few tree stars short of a tree.

Grandpa: Littlefoot, what's gotten into you?

Cera: I'm Cera, not Littlefoot.

Grandma: He's gone mad, dear.

Grandpa: I think we better see the elders.

Cera: "For the love of the ancestors, I'm Cera," I muttered to myself. I wasn't sure why they thought I'm Littlefoot. It's not like we're the same kind, but they do say we're alike, not sure why. So I lost a little of my pride, mainly because my legs weren't working properly and my head hurt. So I asked Grandpa Longneck, in my best Littlefoot impression, if he would take me to the watering hole.

Cera: Grandpa, can you take me to the watering hole?

Grandpa: Of course, Littlefoot.

Cera: Thank you, Grandpa. I'm thirsty.

Grandpa: Would you like me to carry you?

Cera: Yeah please, my legs are sore.

Good thing about Littlefoot, he's about a little under half his grandpa's weight. I'm about half my dad's weight and over half Littlefoot's weight so Grandpa would be able to carry me without hurting his back.

Grandpa: Of course, Littlefoot. Let's go.

Cera: Thank you.

Then he carried me all the way there. I think if Dad ever finds out I'm being carried by a longneck he would disown me or worse.

When I got there, I had a drink. Then suddenly, I noticed that my reflection isn't my reflection. It's a longneck's, and not just any old longneck. It was Littlefoot's reflection staring back at me. Either I was seeing things or Littlefoot was messing with me. I closed my eyes and opened them again and he's still there. Then suddenly I noticed that my eyes were brown like his. I also have brown skin with a tan under my belly like him. My neck was long and slender and my legs and tail were longer. So did this mean that I'm littlefoot, I can't can't be

While I looked around to see if Littlefoot or the others were hiding somewhere to scare me, I suddenly had to fight the feeling of shouting out to Littlefoot and saying that when I find him I'll ram him into the next cold time if I find out he's messing with me, but I remembered his grandpa was there like littlefoot I respect them like I do my dad and the rest of the valley alders well most of head was hurting like something fell on it like a tree or a longneck, either one would be painful. I made a mental note to remember to have words with a flathead when I next saw him.

Then suddenly I came to a thought. "If I'm in Littlefoot's body, he must be in mine." I burst out laughing as the images started coming to my head of him facing my dad tria and my little sister the next morning.I tried to walk over to Grandpa Longneck, but I accidentally stepped on a prickly plant and fell over my own feet into the water to make it more embarrassing. I heard giggling coming from the other side so I looked up to see Petrie walking, yes walking, instead of flying towards me with a big grin on his face. I closed my eyes then opened again twice to make sure I'm not seeing things. I think I've finally gone crazy..

Cera: Petrie, why aren't you flying?

What happened next shocked me as he sounded like a girl. To be fair, he does act girly sometimes, especially when a certain swimmer is around. I don't know what's going on with those two. Maybe I should talk to Ducky about it tomorrow and also ask Ruby to keep the boys distracted long enough to talk. If I'm right she's in the same log as I am with Littlefoot.

Ducky: Hi Littlefoot, you okay?

Cera: Hey Petrie, I'm fine. Just stepped on a prickly plant and fell backwards into the water.

Ducky I am not Petrie, I am Ducky.

Cera: I'm not Littlefoot, I'm Cera.

Ducky (rolling her eyes): l see flying fast runners, yep yep yep.

Wow she's copying me, that's something I normally say, I thought.

Cera: No Ducky, it's really me. I promise I'm not messing with you.

Ducky: Really Cera? Is that you?

I didn't know if she's being sarcastic or curious. I think she's been spending too much time around me, it's scary.

Cera: Yes Ducky, it's really me.

Ducky: What has happened to us?

Cera: Ducky, I don't know. Because the last thing I remember was talking to Flathead, I mean Littlefoot.

Ducky: I do not remember anything, apart from you saying to meet at our favourite tree spot for breakfast. I am confused and sore.

Cera: What happened, why are you sore?

She looks at me in embarrassment then looks down at the ground.

Ducky: I fell out of the nest.

Cera (laughing): You what?

Ducky: Cera, it is not funny. My head hurts.

Cera: Yes it is, since your nest is on the ground.

Ducky: I fell out of Petrie's nest. How do these wings work?

Cera (still laughing): I never thought I'd hear you say that.

Ducky (laughs): Nor did I, oh no no no. Umm Cera?

Cera: Yes Ducky?

Ducky: It is nice when it is just us two without the boys.

Cera: Yep I agree, it is.

I looked at her, concerned.

Cera: You okay?

Ducky: I am ok, I think. But not sure how to say it.

Cera: Ducky, what is it? You can tell me. I won't tell anyone, promise. Because I think I know what you're going to say.

Ducky: You do?

Cera: It's about Petrie, isn't it?

Ducky: Yep yep yep.

Cera (laughs): Meet me later, if we can get our bodies to work. Near the Thundering Falls, and bring Ruby. It'll be our little secret, ok?

Ducky: Thank you Cera. But we need something to distract the boys, we do.

Cera: I'll ask Ruby to send them on an adventure or something to distract them. Anyway, let's try to walk to the tree because the boys are probably waiting. But I may need your help, and while we walk you can tell me about your morning.

Ducky: Cera, you're amazing.

Cera (giggles): Not to brag, but I know.

Ducky: Cera, can I ask you a question?

Cera: Of course.

Ducky: Why are you and Littlefoot more protective over me than you are Petrie and Spike?

Cera (looks mischievously at Ducky): We are scared of your mum. Just kidding. I'm not sure why, but I think it comes naturally to us. Also you're like our little sister, even if you're our age and a different kind. But even though Petrie can fly and Spike has his own defences with his spikes and his plates, we are just as protective of them as we are of you. Littlefoot is the same way with all of us, especially with Chomper and Ruby. I am as protective of all of you, even if Petrie and Littlefoot can be a pain in my tail (laughs). But please don't tell anyone.

Ducky laughs thank you cera

Ducky (laughs): Thank you, Cera.

Cera: Hey Ducky?

Ducky: Umm yes, Cera?

Cera: When you woke up, did your head hurt?

Ducky: Yep yep yep, like a tree fell on me.

Cera: Me too. I think it had something to do with yesterday, but I can't remember what happened. I'll tell Grandpa Longneck that we are going to make our way there.

Ducky: Ok Cera.

Cera: I'll go tell Grandpa Longneck that me and Ducky, I mean Petrie, are going to get breakfast.

Grandpa: Littlefoot, are you and Petrie ok to walk there? You both seem off today.

Cera: Petrie is going to help me because he can't fly and he hurt his wings.

Grandpa Longneck: Ok Littlefoot, but I'm going to see the elders.

Cera: Ok Grandpa.

Grandpa: Are you sure you both will be ok? I could carry you both one at a time.

Cera: We will be ok.

Grandpa: Ok children. Have fun, but be careful and be safe.

Cera: We will.

Ducky (giggles): Wow Cera, you are really good at being Littlefoot.

Cera (giggles): Yeah, but now his grandparents think he's gone mad.

Ducky (giggles): I thought he was already like that.

Cera (laughs): Don't let him hear you say that.

Ducky (giggles): He would not say anything if he heard.

Cera (giggles): That's longnecks for you, they're nice and trusting. Littlefoot let you get away with it. Anyway, how was your morning?

Ducky (giggles): Odd.

Ducky POV

I woke up feeling different, like I was not me. And I had a sore head like a tree had fallen on it. Then I noticed that I had wings and my legs looked different. I closed my eyes then opened them to see if it was just a sleep story I had not woken up from.

I brought my hands up to my face and that's when I realised it was not a sleep story because not only did I have a long beak, but also little hands. Then I saw a small puddle on the side of Petries' nest and looked down at my reflection. I saw Petrie but he wasn't there so then it made me think for a second am I Petrie?

I saw that my back and my wings were a reddish brown with a light brown under my belly. Not my normal green. My eyes were not mine, they were brown too. I have blue eyes,

The crust looked different. Then I noticed I had no tail

Ducky: No no no, what has happened to me?

I started to panic. I screamed and tried to run as fast as I could, but I tripped over my legs. Then suddenly I fell off a cliff edge on the hard ground below. I tried to get up, then saw a flyer fly down towards me. I tried to run again but I was stuck on the spot like I was stuck in tar as the flyer spoke.

Muma Flyer: Petrie, are you ok?

Ducky: What? I am not Petrie.

Muma Flyer: Petrie, don't be silly. Of course you're Petrie.

The flyer thinks I'm Petrie now, I thought. Then I recognised her as Petrie's mother.

Muma Flyer: Petrie, are you ok?

Ducky: Muma flyer, I am not Petrie, no no no. It is me, Ducky.

I tried to tell her but she just looked at me like I'm mad before carrying me back up to the nest. Looking around, I saw Petrie's siblings sleeping next to each other. I'm surprised she could still carry me because Petrie must be a little over half her weight by now.

Muma Flyer: I think you need a nap, Petrie. You're not acting like yourself.

Ducky: No no no, I need to go.

Muma Flyer: What's wrong, Petrie? You're scaring me, I'm worried.

I decided to try to do my best Petrie impression to tell Muma Flyer that I'm supposed to be meeting my friends near a tree for breakfast.

Ducky (as Petrie): Muma, me meet friends near tree.

Muma Flyer: I'll glide you down because it looks like you have hurt your wings from falling.

Ducky: Thank you Muma.

Muma Flyer: You're welcome, Petrie. I'm going to glide you down to the ground. Then I'm going to go and see the elders. Will you be ok to walk there? It's not far to walk.

Ducky: Me will. Okay Muma, thank you.

Muma Flyer: You're welcome.

In the distance she sees Littlefoot near the waterfall.

Muma Flyer: Petrie, Littlefoot is at the watering hole.

Ducky: Ohh really?

Muma Flyer Yes, he must be thirsty and he seems to be having trouble walking. Maybe you should go see him.

Ducky: Me will, Muma.

Muma Flyer: Ready to go?

Ducky: Me ready.

Muma Flyer gilded me down to the ground, then I walked to see Littlefoot at the watering hole. When I saw him trip on a prickly plant and fall backwards into the water, I could not help but laugh. He was silly and unusually clumsy that day. I walked to the watering hole, still laughing

Cera's POV

Cera: Wow Ducky, I thought my morning was weird.

Ducky: Yep, it was odd.

Me and Ducky made our way to our favourite tree. Why is it our favourite tree you ask? It's because there's little berries on it as well as tree stars and it's in a shady part of the valley which is good, especially on really hot days. It's near a small cave and it's surrounded by grass and there's also a small pond next to it.

The first one we saw at the tree was Spike as usual, but knowing Spike, he probably slept there too as it's quite peaceful. Not many dinosaurs come to the tree apart from us because Chomper lives in the small cave. But Chomper will have to find a new cave soon because he's getting too big for it. I like to wind him up about it, I once told him he's going to have to go on a swimmer diet as a joke. I see Spike has just woken up or been woken up by Petrie, I mean Ducky, but he looks confused.

Cera: Morning Spike, did you sleep here again?

Spike: Yep.

Ducky: Sleep well?

Spike: Petrie, you sound funny.

Ducky: Spike, I am Ducky, not Petrie.

Spike just looks at Ducky like she's lost it. I giggle at his expression.

Spike: Littlefoot, why you laughing?

Cera: Spike, I'm Cera, not Littlefoot.

Spike (laughs): I may have a small brain for my head size, but I'm not an idiot. And you guys wonder why I don't talk much.

Cera: No Spike, I'm serious. It's me, Cera, and that's Ducky, no Petrie, do you remember what happened last night?

Spike (laughs): No, I slept since then. But I do have a sore head which is weird. Might be something to do with the rainbow faces yesterday but can't think why.

Ducky: We both had a sore head in the morning but do not remember what happened. Maybe one of the others will know or remember something.

Spike: So Ducky, you're in Petrie body and Cera in Littlefoot's?

Cera: Yep, it looks like it. I thought you guys were pranking me to wind me up. But then I saw Petrie walking instead of flying after I fell over my feet. Then I found out Petrie was Ducky. She didn't believe it was me at first.

Spike (laughs): I wish I'd seen that. I don't think I'd believe it was you at first either. How is it being another kind so fair.?

Ducky: Odd. I kinda do not feel different, but I do at the same time. I fell out of Petrie's nest because I got scared (laughs). Muma Flyer is kinda scary when she suddenly appears over you.

Spike (laughs): Think that's a flyer thing.

Cera: I didn't feel that different apart from having a longer neck and legs, though it's a bit hard to walk. I thought Littlefoot's grandma was a sharptooth.

Spike: How? Sharpteeth don't have long necks.

Cera: Because I was trying to run to find you guys and she woke up and all I saw was her shadow looming over me.

Spike and Ducky started laughing.

Cera: It's not funny. I'm getting used to having long legs. Grandma and Grandpa Longneck think Littlefoot has lost it. They are going to see the elders about it.

Spike (laughs): Well I thought he lost it ages ago.

Cera (giggles): True.

Ducky: Muma Flyer said something about seeing the elders too.

Then all of a sudden we saw a swimmer trying to walk, but they were having no luck as they kept on tripping up and falling over. I couldn't help but laugh.

Cera: Petrie, is that you?

Petrie: Not funny Ceraa. These legs are heavy.

Ducky: Hey Petrie.

Petrie: Hi Ducky.

Spike (trying not laugh): How was your morning?

Petrie: It was weird but me didn't feel that much different. Me mean like Ducky's kind don't have wings or beaks and us flyers don't have tails but we both have long crests on our heads. No mean to be mean Ducky but you're kind of more bulky and kinda clumsy but fast on your feet.

Ducky: I don't mind, Petrie. It is true, Muma said I'm different from my kind because I'm not as clumsy and I'm able to run faster than normal for my kind. And I manage to keep up with a longneck threehorne and spiketail (laughs).

Cera: Petrie, do you remember what happened yesterday?

Petrie: Me no remember but me wake up with headache but can't remember hitting it or anything. Muma Swimmer said she going to talk with elders.

Cera: So what was it like as a different kind this morning?

Petrie: Strange.

Petrie POV

Petrie: Me up and see Muma Swimmer and Ducky sibling sleeping. Me have sore head so me went to have drink in watering hole, so when me got there me see me reflection and me see Ducky,

What happened to Petrie?

me no remember what happened yesterday me then noticed that I don't have wings or a beak and me have a tail and longer legs and arms. My eyes were blue rather than me brown also my skins green. Me ducky so me screamed in panic and run but legs don't work so kept tripping over. Then me hear Muma Swimmer wake up and try to run.

Muma Swimmer: What's wrong, Ducky?

Petrie: Me not Ducky.

Muma Swimmer: Don't be silly, of course you're Ducky.

Petrie: Me not Ducky, honest!

Muma Swimmer: Ducky, stop you are Ducky. What's wrong? Your more panicky this morning. Did you have a bad sleep story

Petrie no me didn't

Muma swimmer ducky you're worrying me what's wrong you not acting yourself. When did you start talking like that and were is spike.

Petrie: She thinks you're mad Petrie. In me best Ducky voice me tell Muma Swimmer, "I am meeting my friends, I am." Spike

Sleept by the tree again he is.

Muma swimmer would you like me to walk you to your friends because you seem to be having trouble walking today.

Petrie I'll be ok muma I will

Muma swimmer I'm going to have a word with the alders to talk to them about this. Are you sure you're going to be ok?

Petrie I'll be okay muma I will

."….."…

Cera pov

Cera before I could ask Petrie another question I see a threehorne in a distance looking very tired and unsteady on their feet. It must be littlefoot. So I call out.

Hay littlefoot are you ok

Littlefoot no I'm tired and unsteady on my feet also my head hurts but can't remember banging it,

We all woke up like that this morning, having a sore head. I think it's because you are used to walking on longer legs probably why they are unsteady. Why do You look so tired didn't you sleep?

Littlefoot I slept ok but your dad sleep rumbles like a really bad storm and your sister woke me up a couple of times. Not being mean but I never realised how low to the ground you are. I guess that comes with having longer legs.

Ducky littlefoot do you remember what happened yesterday

Littlefoot no happened all I remember is talking to cera.

Spike littlefoot 'haw was your morning? And what is it like being a threehorn.?

Littlefoot POV

I woke up with a sore head, but I don't remember banging it yesterday. Maybe I did it in my sleep, then I hear a really loud sleep rumble next to me which is weird as Grandma and Grandpa don't sleep rumble like that. So I get up and look around. Suddenly I see Cera's dad and Tria and her little sister laying there asleep next to me. What happened to me?

So I decided to go to a small pond that's close to the nest. Cera told me there's a small pond near her nest that she found but never told her dad about. She makes me laugh sometimes with her stubbornness, especially with her dad. I find the pond then see my reflection staring back at me. But it's not me, it's a yellow scaled threehorn with green eyes. She had a large frill and two long horns above her eyebrows, a small nose horn, a stocky body and short tail and legs. I can't be Cera, but when I move she moves, when I stop, she stops. I screamed aloud. What happened to me? Maybe Cera is messing with me. Then suddenly I hear a voice.

Tria: Cera, are you ok? I heard you scream.

Littlefoot: I'm not Cera.

Tria: Of course you are Cera.

Littlefoot: No really Tria, I'm not. I'm Littlefoot.

Tria: Cera, stop being silly. Of course you're Cera.

Then suddenly I hear a small voice. It must be Tricia.

Tricia: Mummy, is Cera ok?

Tria: I think she just had a bad sleep story. Go back to sleep.

Trisha: Ok mummy.

After Tricia, left to go sleep, Topsy, Cera's dad, came.

Topsy: Cera, are you ok?

Littlefoot: I'm not Cera.

Topsy: Cera, stop this nonsense. You are Cera, I heard you and Tria.

Littlefoot: I'm Littlefoot, not Cera. Please believe me.

Topsy: Cera, I don't know what has gotten into you, but this has to stop.

Tria: Now now Topsy, she probably had a bad sleep story. She's probably still dreaming.

Topsy: Nonsense, threehorns don't have sleep stories. It's probably something to do with that longneck.

Tria: Now Topsy, stop. Littlefoot wouldn't do something like this. He's just a child like Cera, he cares for her like we do. He wouldn't hurt her.

Topy: He's a bad influence and I'll make sure his influence on her stops. I mean it.

Tria: Topsy, stop, you're being unreasonable. Plus Cera has her own mind and can make her own choices in life. Even thinking of taking her away will only backfire on you because they would run away and I'm not going to be telling the others why their children have gone because you decided to take Cera away. That will be your job.

Topsy: I know but …

Tria: But nothing. Cera is not a hatchling anymore. She's practically all grown up, so she doesn't need you being like this and in her case if you keep pushing her she's going to resent you. She's old enough to make her own choices and mistakes. I don't know what your problems are with the young longneck but he's been nothing but good to her and the others. The problems you have with longnecks have to stop.

Topsy: I'm sorry Tria, I just want what's best for the girls.

Tria: That's not an excuse for your behavior. Don't you see what you're doing? You're going to end up pushing them away. I'll leave if this keeps up.

Littlefoot: I can't believe what I just heard. In my best Cera voice I say, close to tears, "I'm going to see my friends." I'm glad Cera hasn't told her dad about us yet because we are just coming to terms with it ourselves. We even haven't fully told each other yet even though I can tell because she gets jealous if I'm around other girls apart from Ducky because we think she's In love with Petrie. We hope they will tell us soon.

Tria: Ok dear, be safe and careful.

(Littlefoot rolling his eyes)

Tria: We're going to talk with the elders later, ok?

Littlefoot: Ok Tria.

Cera POV

Cera: Wow Littlefoot, I'm sorry about my dad.

Littlefoot: It's ok Cera.

Cera (angrily): It's not. He shouldn't treat you like that!

Littlefoot (sees Petrie, Ducky and Spike looking nervous): Cera, please calm down.

Cera: Hmph!

Ducky: Please do not fight.

Littlefoot: We are not fighting, don't worry.

Cera: We're not. I'm just annoyed because of what my dad said. But I'm glad Tria stood up for you.

Littlefoot: I know, I think he's just worried. It still hurt, but I'm glad Tria stood up for us.

Cera: I know but I'm practically an adult and you're my best friend. If he thinks I'm gonna leave you then he's wrong.

Littlefoot: I know

Cera: Ducky and Spike's mum doesn't treat you like that, nor does Petrie's.

Littlefoot: I don't get why he acts like a big grump. But I think because he's so worried about you, he takes it out on others. Like you're always with me, so he kinda picks on me because he knows I'll take it and not bite back. Like he knows Petrie and Spike wouldn't be able to take it.

Ducky: That is not fair on you. My parents would not say anything bad about you. They treat you like family.

Littlefoot: I can take it, but if he said that to you it would be different, I'd tell my grandparents then. But remember he just said that to me in Cera's body and now she knows she will talk to Tria. And when he realizes he said that to me he will be forced to apologize.

Cera: Too right, no one upsets any of you. Not even my dad. I'll have a word with Tria when this is all back to normal. I don't know what his problem is sometimes.

Petrie: Me think he's just a big grump and don't think before he speak.

Ducky: I agree, I do.

Littlefoot: Guess you're right. Umm Cera, mind if I talk to you later?

Cera: Of course, as soon as my legs work (laughs). I didn't realize how short my legs are compared to yours and how low to the ground my head is.

Littlefoot: It does feel odd. I'm used to long legs so it's like I'm crouched down. I never noticed before, but you walk a little differently from me.

Petrie: Me notice that about Ducky. She walk on balls of her feet like Chomper and Ruby, me never really notice it till now. Me fell a few times trying to walk like Ducky.

Ducky: I think all of us two-footers walk similar to each other, like there are only little differences.

Cera: It's funny how we notice things more now than we did before. Speaking of the sharptooth and runner (laughs) they're coming. Hey Ruby and Chomper!

Ruby: Hello my friends, my friends hello.

Chomper: Hey guys.

Cera: Do you notice anything different?

Chomper (smirking): Not sure. You guys smell the same.

Littlefoot (rolling his eyes): Thanks Chomper.

Ruby: Littlefoot, why is your voice coming out from Cera's mouth?

Cera: Do you both remember anything from yesterday?

Ruby: I remember leaving with Chomper to get food, then going to the cave. That's about it.

Chomper: Wait Cera, why is your voice coming out of Littlefoot?

Cera: We seem to have switched minds so we're in each other's bodies.

Ducky: Me and Petrie have too.

Spike (laughs): I'm still me.

Ruby: You are always you, Spike. You wouldn't be you if you weren't you.

Petrie: Me confused.

Littlefoot: She means Spike wouldn't be like himself if he wasn't himself, Petrie.

Petrie: Ok.

Ducky: How was your morning?

Ruby (laughs): Normal.

Chomper (giggles): For me and Ruby that is.

Ruby POV

I wake up first but I get this odd feeling. Something has happened, but I don't know what. Then I see Chomper get up.

Chomper: Morning Ruby.

Ruby: Morning Chomper. Did you sleep ok?

Chomper: Kind of. I had a strange dream about our friends. Then I woke up with a splitting headache.

Ruby: Me too. I woke up with a sore head and a bad feeling in my tummy. What was your dream about?

Chomper: They have switched minds like their normal bodies but different minds. It sounds silly but odd.

Ruby: It's a bit weird, but weird is not the word I'd use.

Chomper: What do you think it is?

Ruby: I don't know. Maybe our friends will.

Chomper: True. Let's find them.

Ruby: Shall we look for something to eat first?

Chomper: Good idea, Ruby.

Cera (laughs): Normal then.

Chomper: I went to find food, then we came back to find you.

Cera (looks mischievously at Chomper): You mean you went to find food, but found us.

Chomper: Very funny Cera. So how is it being a longneck?

Cera: Interesting but weird. Like I feel taller and I like being able to reach the tops of trees instead of ramming into them. It's weird because I didn't realize just how big his grandparents are. I mean I know how big they are but when they are lying down or sleeping it's like they are doubled in size.

Littlefoot: That makes sense as when we longnecks hatch we are kinda scared of much bigger adults, even our parents at first because of how big they are. Longnecks hatch tiny, like if a treestar fell on us you wouldn't see us (laughs).

Spike: Cera thought your grandma was a sharptooth.

Littlefoot (laughs): What?

Cera: Thanks Spike.

Spike: No problem.

Cera: She was asleep, I must have woken her. Then she suddenly appeared over me and I saw her shadow and thought it was a sharptooth.

Littlefoot (laughs): I know Grandma can be scary but she's not that bad.

Ruby: So how does it feel to be a threehorn, Littlefoot?

Littlefoot: Interesting because it's like I'm seeing things in a little different way but strange because I can't reach the tops of trees. I can see why Cera gets annoyed with me sometimes. It's nice to see things through someone else's eyes.

Cera: Why do you think I get annoyed with you?

Littlefoot: I guess because I can reach higher than you or see better.

Cera: No, I don't get annoyed about that. I just get a little annoyed when others don't listen to me.

Littlefoot: How come you never told me?

Cera: I don't know.

Ruby: I think it's your kinds, you think you have to try to outdo each other. Like you and Littlefoot try to do better than the other all the time. I'm not sure why but I think it's like a rivalry between the both of your kinds.

Cera: That makes sense.

Littlefoot: Yeah anyway, what's it like being a swimmer, Petrie?

Petrie: Strange but good. Me like to swim and feel water on me. Me feel relaxed but me miss wings and flying above the Great Valley. But it nice to see things through Ducky's eyes.

Littlefoot: Ducky, how is it being like Petrie?

Ducky: Umm, I feel different, but I like seeing things through Petrie's eyes. But I have not been able to fly yet. I fell out of the nest because your mum scared me, Petrie.

Petrie (laughs): Me muma scares me and siblings sometimes like she flies over us out of nowhere or lands on a nearby branch startling us. We get used to it as we get older.

Cera what do you spike and chomper think of us as different kinds Ruby.

Ruby: It's funny because I keep looking at Littlefoot and Petrie then hearing yours and Ducky's voices and I'm doing the same to you and Ducky. It's confusing but funny at the same time.

Chomper: It feels and sounds weird to hear you but not see you talking. But now I can't make eating Cera jokes because Cera's a longneck, not a threehorn.

Cera: Don't worry, Littlefoot hasn't embraced his inner threehorn yet. Plus you can still make jokes at Littlefoot.

Chomper (laughs): I can't, brotherly loyalty. If I do that he might hit me.

Cera: Are you scared of him now he's got horns?

Chomper (laughs): Nope.

Littlefoot: I haven't tried headbutting but you two are tempting me.

Petrie (laughs): Chomper, keep going!

Chomper: You want him to headbutt me?

Petrie (laughs): Not you, the tree!

Chomper (laughs): Oh, I get it. Cera, I need your help to get Littlefoot mad.

Littlefoot shakes his head and sees Ducky, Spike and Ruby near the tree.

Ducky: I am kinda hungry.

Spike: Me too. I'll ram the tree.

Ducky: You guys hungry?

Cera: Yep. We can talk about it more after we eat.

Spike: Sounds good to me.

Meanwhile at the Rock Circle, the grownups were meeting together to discuss their children.

Grandpa Longneck: I called a meeting to discuss the strange things that had been happening in the valley and well this morning Littlefoot has been acting strange, not himself.

Mr. Threehorn: Cera was acting off herself. Tria thought she had a sleep story. But I told Tria that threehorns don't have sleep stories because I thought it was nonsense. She kept telling me she wasn't Cera and she was walking and talking funny.

Muma Flyer: Petrie was like that too. He kept saying he wasn't Petrie then something scared him and he fell out of the nest. We even saw Littlefoot fall backwards into the water. It was like he had forgotten how to use his legs and like Petrie had suddenly forgotten how to fly. It was so unusual for them.

Muma Swimmer: Ducky was acting out of sorts this morning, like she sounded stressed and panicky like something had happened or was going to happen. She told me Spike was at their eating spot and they were going to meet today. She was talking differently, similar to the way Petrie speaks which I found odd. She even fell over her own feet.

Mr Threehorn: I think I might take Cera away for a little bit to free the influence the longneck has on her. It seems things always happen when he's involved somehow.

Grandpa Longneck (bites his tongue in annoyance): I beg your pardon Mr. Threehorn, how do you know he had anything to do with it? I have had it with your blaming Littlefoot all the time when you know fully well that Cera's capable of making her own decisions as well as he does, from what he told me it was her idea to go across the sinking sand even though we told him not to and it was her idea to come find Littlefoot when we went to the crater.

Muma Swimmer (looks at grandpa with a smile): Look Mr. Threehorn, there's no need to blame any of the children and your bullying them needs to stop. It's not fair on them, if you try to separate them it is only going to cause more drama for us, they all would run away and rebel. There's nothing you can do about it. I'm not letting Ducky or Spike get upset because you took their friends away.

Muma Flyer: Nor am I. I'm not letting Petrie get upset because you split his friends up. But all we can do now is hope they sort it out on their own. If they need us, they will come to us. Mr. Threehorn, you got to remember Cera is not your little girl anymore she's nearly an adult who's free to make her own mistakes and decisions, you really got to see things through her eyes. She's not a hatchling so whether you like it or not you have to accept that.

The rainbow faces: What we have done? We not only switched their minds but their memories have been erased so they don't know what happened to them. We better try and fix this. Their parents haven't noticed anything different or wrong. We better see them soon before anything else happens or goes wrong.

Meanwhile back with the gang

Littlefoot: Cera, can I talk to you in private?

Cera: Yes Littlefoot, what's wrong?

Littlefoot: I'm not sure how to say this but I think I like love you.

Cera: Wow I feel the same Littlefoot. Glad you told me.

Littlefoot: I don't think our families will approve.

Cera: I know, but if they don't we can run away and start a herd of our own, you, me and the others. I mean that. Nothing's going to separate us, no matter what anyone says.

Littlefoot: The others?

Cera: I think Petrie and Ducky are on the same log as us.

Littlefoot: I've noticed that too, I think they need a bit of help to be pushed in the right direction. I'll talk to Petrie later. We need to talk about last night.

Cera: Yep.

(They come back together again)

Cera: Guys, do you remember anything else about last night?

Spike: I remember seeing the rainbow faces.

Littlefoot: Do you remember what they said?

Spike: No, but I think we should try and find them to find out what happened
