"Get out of here Arin, I'll deal with the prince." Said Kai sternly, pushing Arin towards the exit.

"But-"

"Please Arin. I don't wanna hurt anyone else."

Lloyd got up, staring at his father's mangled body. The flames around them grew higher, and Lloyd turned to face Kai.

"This is all you fault." He whispered, his voice frail, like a child's, "this wouldn't have happened if you weren't here."

"Run Arin. Don't look back, just run." Arin looked from Lloyd to Kai before scooping Riyu up and running.

"You ruin EVERYTHING."

"Lloyd I'm sorry but-" Kai reasoned. Lloyd drew his axes out of his Oni magic, and pointed it directly at Kai. The building crumpled and crashed around them, but Lloyd did not fear.

"This ends, now." He boomed, his voice loud and clear. Kai stood in shock, unable to move. He grew a determined expression and grabbed the katana from off his back.

"I don't want to fight you. Please Lloyd, we're talking about saving the world here."

"You'd sacrifice everyone across the realms just to make sure the world was safe. You don't understand, you don't know how many lives are at risk. All you ninja do is talk." He hammered his axe onto the ground, his eyes glowing with anger and pain. "You act as though you know every little detail, you act as though you're doing the right thing."

"It is the right thing! No one will be sacrificed. No more lives will be lost due of my foolishness."

"It's too late for that. We have you your chance, we were able to forgive you. But look where's that's gotten us. I'm going to rid the world of your pathetic little friends." Said Lloyd bitterly, circling Kai and sending sparks everywhere. "You've taken everything from me, so allow me to do the same."

"Lloyd please… if you continue then more lives will be sacrificed. Innocent lives."

"My father, he may not of been innocent but he had a life! He was so happy to finally have peace, to finally get rid of this conflict between our kinds! But… now…" Lloyd stopped, his body swaying, tears forming in his eyes. "He never wanted to hurt anyone. It was only because of the evil in his veins, that wasn't even his fault. He cared for me, Rumi, Misako and Wu. But that wasn't enough for you was it?

You…." Kai put out his hand to reach for Lloyd.

"I'm so sorry Lloyd. I understand-"

"You don't understand!" Snapped Lloyd, swinging his axe at Kai. Kai defended himself, pushing Lloyd's axe away with his katana. Or at least trying to.

"Tch. You're badly hurt, aren't you?" Smiled Lloyd. "I won't bother to use all my strength, this is only the beginning anyway."

"The beginning of what?" Asked Kai, beads of sweat dripping from his forehead. Lloyd was much stronger then he looked, and Kai was badly wounded after the fight from before. Lloyd hadn't even bothered to use both his arms, but Kai was glad that he didn't use both his axes. Kai felt the ground crumble underneath him as he tried to fend off Lloyd's strength, but he pushed.

"The start of a war. The start of a new, upside down world. I'm going to avenge my father, I'm going to create a world were no one has to get hurt. Not as long as they listen to me." He knocked Kai's katana out of his hand, sending it flying into the wall of fire surrounding them. Kai looked to Lloyd in fear, trying to figure out what to do. Lloyd's pale skin glowed in the purple light, and he looked down at Kai with only disgust and anger in his eyes.Turning around and disappearing through the flames, his half cape flowing in the wind, Lloyd wouldn't be seen until The Merge would push him out of the shadows, and into the bright light.
