Reaper of Rome chapter 14- second strike
This chapter will cover the second attack the arrancar make with a little unavoidable Orihime pov and many other changes.
it will cover episodes 138- 142
changes will be explained at the end of the chapter
Rukia pov
While I hit a wall in my training, I watched Ichigo train or more get smacked around as he wasn't mastering using his mask. But he had hit eleven seconds. I learned some members of this group tried to share dirty magazines to help Ichigo clear his mind, but I knew the only times his mind was clear enough was after we made love. I was thinking he needed real combat to help him evolve and this kind of training likely won't be enough. I did help Orihime train in some of in the soul society , but she wasn't making much progress. It was in the middle of our training; I got a call and knew more arrancar were on the attack.
Ichigo pov
I knew I had hit eleven seconds of usage only but with how much my power grew in the battles against in the soul society I hoped I would surpass those limits in the heat of combat. I also knew I was ready to face Grimmjow one more time. I just hoped my training would help me defeat him. I could also tell Toshiro was in his own fight and Urahara was preparing to join us soon enough.
When I saw the blue-haired arrancar, I noticed he was missing an arm and I wondered if that would give me an edge in battle. I knew I would have to try and win in the time I could use my hollow powers. I then released said power and that shocked the arrancar as I attacked him with a Getsuga.
At the same time, I was fighting, Toshiro battled a new arrancar said arrancar used his release and form tentacles on his back. The new arrancar quickly overpowered the captain and damaged his ice wings.
Rukia pov
When I returned to the shop to check on Renji, I found out he was spent from his latest training session and was completely worthless in battle. but he told me Kisuke would be joining in this battle. I just wondered what he could do in battle. but I did remember Ichigo telling me how the shop keeper aided in battle and used to be a captain at one time.
Ichigo pov
The attack seemed to really hurt the arrancar he lived and countered with a Cero. But I was able to stop it with Zangetsu. But in turn Grimmjow came at me with his own blade and we clashed swords over and over as he looked frustrated. But as I was about to end it, my mask failed, and I knew it may be over for me. as the hollow came in for another attack.
At the same time the trio of lieutenant and seated officers were struggling with the new arrancar Luppi. At the same time, the large dark skinned arrancar and a new one he brought along seemed bored. But they ended up being saved by Urahara as I hoped I would get to see his bankai. But the weird new blond hollow soon attacked Urahara.
Orihime pov.
I had to wait in the soul society until the gate was ready for me, but two soul reapers helped guide me through the portal. But it wasn't long before the black and white arrancar came into the place between worlds to meet me. he said he wanted to talk but the two soul reapers tried to fight and ended up on the verge of death and that forced me to heal the two. as the arrancar commented on my power and showed me my friends losing in battles in the living world including Ichigo.
I wasn't sure if I loved the boy, but I could tell Rukia and him had a deep bond and may even be dating in secret. The dark-haired man gave me the choice to come to see Aizen and if I didn't the group would all die. He said Aizen wanted my power, and I knew I only had the choice to come or not with my friends lives on the line.
Ichigo pov
I knew as I was on the verge of passing out, Yammy was going after Urahara. But Rangiku was talked to the new arrancar to get his guard open his guard enough to give his captain a chance to counterattack the one I knew as Lupi. It was then Urahara to show the dark skinned arrancar how tricky he really was. he showed he had several crazy inventions to perfectly counter the Yammy.
Rukia pov
I arrived just in time to see Grimmjow giving my lover a brutal beatdown and used my shikai to stop the blue haired man from dealing a fatal blow. But I wasn't sure if I could help much more than that. I did manage to cover the man in ice and tried to get his sword out of Ichigo's hand but as I did the Grimmjow attacked me. with only a single attack saving my life. I soon found out my savior was Shinji. The blond man was countering his blue haired enemy perfectly using his mask and showing how much an extra arm in a sword fight mattered. Then he showed off how he could use cero and only Grimmjow's cero saved his life. Grimmjow was about to release his blade before his black and white companion caught his arm and forced each arrancar to leave the scene. The beams that pulled them in revealed Lupi wasn't dead yet. I wondered why they left so suddenly as Ichigo's bloody face didn't look happy at all.
Orihime pov
I knew with the fight over I needed to leave very soon, I knew the bracelet Ulquiorra would both track me and summon me in twelve hours. I could say goodbye to one person but couldn't say where I was going. That one person was Ichigo, I had to say my peace to him. I knew I had to say I loved him, even if Rukia had his heart already.
I started to wander around the city in the time I had and found out the bracelet left me in a spirit state that couldn't be seen even by those with spirit awareness. I knew I just had to wait and watch the world pass me by.
Rukia pov
After the battle ended, I was recovering with the rest of the team, and we couldn't contact the soul society. That made me wonder if the arrancar team had another reason for their attack. After the fight, I helped Shinji get Ichigo to the healer of the Vizard and he told me, his power couldn't heal Ichigo the way we needed to. But Ambrosia would help but still take time to heal him, the pink haired man said all the spirit power from the arrancar made him harder to heal. I mentioned Ichigo's divine mother and he said "that makes things more complicated and explains the ambrosia working as well. but the best thing for him would be divine intervention, likely he would need a god to help him be combat ready any time soon."
It wasn't long after I got Ichigo back to his bed to rest and I went into the closest to sleep, that a light burst into the room and the closet door wouldn't open. I then heard a female voice saying, "don't worry child of the sun." I will heal my son. Now you can leave for a little bit, I have other business to attend that I don't need you listening to." It was then, I outside the room and got to talk with Ichigo's family and then left to return to the soul society.
Orihime pov
It was after I saw Rukia leave, I went into Ichigo's room to see two strange women standing over his body and noticed they could see me as they looked directly at me. I noticed one looked my age and the other looked like a movie starlet. The younger of the two then said to me "sorry, I can't let you confess to or kiss my son." It was then I got a better look at the younger of the two and compared her to the large poster and then figured she must be Ichigo's godly mother. She then continued "too many of the other factions won't allow it but, my companion can assist you in the matters of your heart. If you need to know how we can see, you. It's because Aizen never factored in the other factions. The man is incredibly short sighted, if he really wanted the power, he seeks he could gain it from people with power like my other son. But he can't see beyond his own power. I can say he is at least not in danger of becoming something else.
Then the other woman spoke and said "I am Venus the goddess of love and I say sorry for my son pointing you to the wrong person but. I can tell you this boy as well as one you should reach for will come to save you. But at a point some you will have to choose a hand to reach for and that hand will pave the next path of your life." I won't tell you whose hands those are, but you can't have Ichigo no matter what you do. His children with Rukia are important to the fate of all worlds."
I didn't understand what she meant by other factions or the hands I had to reach for, but I left to the place the arrancar would pick me up and began to head the palace Aizen had in the world of the hollows.
Ichigo pov
Through partial consciousness, I gleamed parts of what my mother said one being the fact I had another brother and the other being there are more factions that just the romans and the factions of the Japanese afterlife. I had no real idea what was within that gate to hell I sent the murderer hollow through, but it was likely a Japanese hell. I was partly guessing my mother wanted me to hear only parts of what she said. I just hoped I could call on this brother if there was a time Camp Jupiter needed help.

The next chapter will have Ichigo deal with the aftermath of the battle and set on his next path
but first two great powers will meet and pave the new world they are on to a brighter future
