A/N- IM BACK
Btw, you all are in for a pretty crazy surprise in next chapter :P
RIDING ARION WAS THE BEST… Arion was a four-legged Maserati
"Okay…That's crazy. No fair." Nico pouted.
"HA! HA! That's my brother!" Percy whooped and grinned at Nico who threw a cushion at him which Percy caught. Poseidon looked at his son in amusement and Hades chuckled lightly.
"You guys are children." Thalia said dramatically. Percy and Nico looked at each other and winked.
"Right. What about that one time when-" Percy started in a totally neutral tone with Nico who started nodding.
"Okay! Okay! I take that back." Thalia said quickly, knowing that her two brothers had the most dirt on her. She glared at them when they high fived with the biggest shit-eating grins on their faces.
"But in all honesty, I want to get a horse ride with Arion." Apollo pouted.
"I'll see if he's free." Hazel grinned, making everybody laugh.
"You're going to have to pay him." Demeter said dryly.
Ahead of them lay an…you to a great white shark.
Percy and Hazel smiled at each other while Leo shuddered theatrically. Percy looked at him and snickered.
"Probably not to a great white shark but maybe a pack of piranhas. It'd hurt more." He mused. Leo's eyes went wide.
"You're evil." Katie laughed.
"That I am, m'lady." Percy grinned
According to Percy…like Coach Hedge yelling a battle cry.
Poseidon snorted in amusement.
"You don't want to say that to Arion." He told Leo.
Hazel and Leo dismounted…you're not related to King Midas.
"Oh hell nah." Hades shook his head vigorously.
"I think I can say that he would genuinely be one of the worst half siblings to have." Jason stated.
"Preach." Percy and Thalia nodded.
I don't like that guy…swirling in the white calcium
All the Olympians winced at that.
"Don't think about that image for too long. The more you do, the more vulnerable you are to her trying to influence you." Hera told Leo, surprising most of the people but only a few showed it on their faces. Hera tried to ignore them and focus on Leo who stared at her as if remembering his babysitter and eventually shook his head and nodded at her.
Walk away, little hero…"Sammy?" Leo guessed
Frank grimaced a little.
"You know, sometimes I wish I'd come to know him better. I think we'd really get along." Leo sighed. Hephaestus clapped a hand on his son's shoulder.
"You would. But instead of thinking about it that way, think about it as that he left a part of himself in you so you'd always know him because you'd know you." He said to Leo who looked at Hephaestus with the most genuine smile he'd ever given. Aphrodite looked at Hephaestus as if analyzing the god of fire and then looked at Ares with the same look and sighed. She'd seen mortals and even some gods witness this dilemma but her? The goddess of love? It was quite annoying if she was being honest. Or was it painful?
She fell backward…or maybe a bazooka
"Oh, that'd be dangerous." Piper said fondly.
"I'm sure we can figure something out." Beckendorf laughed and Leo grinned.
He stood and scanned the island…Miss Metal Detector."
"Okay. That's a good name." Percy admitted.
"Well, what can I say, Aquaman, I'm good at nicknaming people." Leo grinned at him which Percy returned.
"Hmm, I don't know. I just feel like I prefer Hazelnut." Nico mused with a smirk on his face.
"I have to say that I agree." Hades nodded and Hazel groaned dramatically but had a small smile on her face.
The sun began to set…He didn't think so
Hermes, Apollo and Artemis looked at each other and groaned. None of them even wanted to remember that one incident with Nemesis and her fortune cookies.
"Well, Grover, looks like it's the goddess that you turned into a god." Hermes told Grover nonchalantly. Grover blushed, Percy choked on his own saliva as he laughed way too hard and Annabeth was trying her best to hide her laughter but she was turning redder by the second.
He wasn't anxious to approach…"Aunt Rosa?" he asked.
"Okay, what?" Connor said, holding his hands up in confusion.
"Its part of her magic." Artemis sighed.
It didn't make sense…hands to the desk for misbehaving," Hazel said
"I'm sorry, what?" Hades hissed out
"Did you just say taped your hands to the desk?" Persephone asked in the tone that made it clear that her anger was almost about to be unleashed.
"Yeah, um…" Hazel started.
"Oh, she's so screwed." Nico whistled as he looked at his father and Persephone.
She called my mother a witch…him boil with resentment.
"Honestly, I don't blame you. That was just cruel. I mean you were a kid and her family at that." Beckendorf shook his head. The son of Hephaestus clenched his fists, not at all happy about what he was hearing about the treatment of his younger brother.
"It is ridiculous. I mean I don't understand how people can be so insensitive and then say that they've lost faith in humanity." Rachel said disgustedly.
"The world is filled with hypocrites, Rachel. Its rare to find somebody's who not. If you do find somebody like that, don't let them go." Lee sighed.
"Hey, is she still alive?" Travis asked Leo.
"I think so." He said carefully.
"Then we're gonna go egg her house, toilet paper it and make sure her house is brighter than the rainbow." Chris said nonchalantly. Connor nodded in agreement. Hermes looked at them with pride glinting in his eyes and that wasn't there just because they were pranking somebody but because of how they were treating Leo.
How did he feel...for the way she treated you?"
"It's not like she wanted them to come true." Thalia scoffed. Nico, Percy and Annabeth exchanged a dark look.
"That doesn't mean I'd want them to come true!"
"Sometimes, they do." Percy said with a sigh as he grabbed a bottle of water. He hadn't reached his minimum liters yet.
"What?" Hazel asked with a horrified expression her face.
"Not for everybody. Its just that if you wish something bad on somebody just try not to curse them, really." Percy reassured her.
"I hope I didn't curse her then." She said hesitantly.
Poseidon looked concerned as he didn't know what Percy was talking about and if he was being honest, he was kind of terrified to find out what happened to his son. He had a feeling that after finding out, he'd wish he could forget it.
"Bah." The goddess resealed…gods blame for their predicament?"
"Oh, it better not be Leo." Silena said, sticking up for Beckendorf's brother.
"Nah, that'd just be Leo having a high opinion on himself. They'd probably be blaming Hera seeing as she was the mastermind. They generally have track record of blaming the person who started all of it." Percy deadpanned.
"Well…except in the war against Kronos. That was your fault according to them." Nico said amusedly to Percy.
"Oh yeah, its like I created the sperm and the egg from which I was born. So you know, my fault." Percy said and rolled his eyes. He looked at his dad. "You're old. You'd know about the various protective measures, right?" he said. The younger Olympians took one second before they all burst out laughing. Poseidon looked at his son with wide eyes as if he was five year old getting a lecture from his mother.
"Exactly, tell him, Poseidon." Amphitrite chimed in with a smirk on her face.
"You better know, brother because I think you're a little too old to have 'the talk'." Hades snickered.
"Of course, I know." Poseidon protested.
"Well, then…freaking use it!" Percy said, throwing his hands up in exasperation, making everybody laugh harder and making the sea god grin sheepishly.
"Even when you're with mom, please. I have enough siblings." Triton said dryly. Poseidon held up his hands in surrender.
"Uncle P, your career just ended." Hermes laughed.
"You make me sound like a stripper, nephew." Poseidon told Hermes with a raised eyebrow.
"Strippers are hotter." Demeter snorted.
"Okay, now you all are just ganging up on me!" Poseidon whined. Hestia, Hades and Demeter gave small smiles and Hera hid one as they all saw their younger brother again.
"Honestly, I'm loving this but I'm going to spare Percy's dad the misery and continue." Silena chuckled.
"Thank you! Also, you can call me uncle or something because you're Percy's friend so lets not be so formal." Poseidon smiled at Silena who smiled warmly at him.
Leo's mouth tasted like…more or less
"Exactly! See, he gets it!" Hera cried and glared at Percy who looked at her coolly.
"I never said that you were not on our side. And anyways, I am not a petty little 5 year old so I've long since moved past the whole wiping my memories. The only thing I had a problem was you ripping me away from my life but hey, you know what? I was willing to move past that as well. The only problem that I have with you now is you saying random shit to my dad and uncle H-" Percy said, then remembering the way he'd found Zeus on the deck and added "-and some other stuff." He said. Poseidon and Hades looked at each other.
"What other stuff?" Hera asked suspiciously.
"It doesn't matter." Percy ended the conversation. Zeus looked at his nephew, understanding his meaning and his trust in Percy deepened without him knowing as the son of Poseidon didn't bring the whole conversation up at all. What happened on the deck stayed there. He respected that.
If she was out of the picture…Isn't that enough sacrifice for you?"
"You tell her, Hazel." Nico growled. Hades winced as he read about his daughter saying all that and being able to exactly picture it all.
Leo could totally relate…maybe lost the trust of his friends.
Everybody winced. Beckendorf's grip on Leo's shoulder tightened.
"That's way too much pressure." Travis shook his head.
"Honestly, we need to show you more respect for building that ship. It was amazing." Percy admitted to Leo. "Thanks, man but don't overwork yourself again." He said with a smile.
"Right now," he said…with the entire city of Rome."
"What?" Persephone said
"Doesn't matter." Nico waved off.
"Of course it-" Persephone started and shook her head and just kept her hand on Nico's shoulder.
"And as for you, child…place among your brethren
"That is ridiculous." Michael scoffed.
"Don't listen to that stuff, man." Lee shook his head at Leo.
Soon you will face a problem…staring at him in terror.
"You saw me control the dead." Nico told her amusedly.
"Hey! The whole Greek-Roman thing came into my head." Hazel defended and shot Leo and apologetic look.
He shoved his hand in his…real difference in the world."
Percy flinched and looked pained. "Ethan." He said, pain lacing his voice. Poseidon kept a hand on his son's shoulder, knowing the churning feeling that Percy was feeling.
Leo's stomach churned…Rome is going to be destroyed."
"Loving the sass, Haze." Frank grinned at Hazel.
"Nico's a bad influence." Thalia snickered.
Nemesis chuckled…"Let's go see what that means."
"Could we please break for the day? Lets maintain the suspense." Thalia asked.
"Plus 1." Percy groaned and ran a hand through his hair. The rest of the younger gods looked like they were in agreement as well.
"All right then." Chiron smiled. The younger gods cheered. Everybody started to trickle out and the sky gang joined the sea and underworld gang. Jason and Hera lingered back as they wanted to talk about something.
"You, me and Nico. We're going for drinks tonight." Thalia said to Percy. Nico shrugged.
"No dancing though, please. I'm not in the mood for that today." He requested.
"No dancing." Thalia agreed. "Lets catch up. Talk. Haven't properly done that in a while without arguing." She sighed. Percy nodded and the three of them grinned.
"We'll go this club Hermes owns…ah yes, the element." Percy suggested.
"Oh yeah, I've heard its really good." Nico said.
"It is. Pretty chill place." Poseidon told them.
"Its decided then." Thalia grinned.
"Get ready fast, beauty queen." Thalia and Nico called out to Percy who shook his head.
"Ain't happening." He yelled out.
