~6 Years Later~
We find Kaito in massive barren land with a forest surrounding the land and he was performing some push ups.
"496...497...498...499...500."A panting topless Kaito can be seen in the land and he was wearing only a bottom dark blue hakama.After finishing the push up he immediately dropped down while trying to catch his breath.
During this period of 5 years there had been no changes on him other than him growing an inch and let his hair grow out and it now resembled that of Minato in Naruto. He had also gained some muscle but not bulking up but instead a slim fitted body.
His relationship with his family had drastically increased where as before he and his father never got that much along but now even thought they were not the best father-son duo but they now could understand each other on some level and it helped in his training that his father was a lieutenant-class fighter.
His mother after giving birth to his little sister named Uchiha Karoyi had stopped in her soul reaper's duty and become a full on housewife. His mother was an easy going woman so it was easy for him to repair any problems the previous Kaito had with her.
Of course there was his little sister whom he had shortly started to grow fond of and spent so much time playing with her, he still felt mixed feelings for the situation but he had tried to push them aside for later.
Outside of his direct family, he had formed a good relationship with the other Uchihas and servants in the Manor and he had gained some of their respect but he was still under the scrutiny of the elders of the family to see if he really was capaple as the heir. People in the clan were greatly suprised by his change in attitude but they had chocked it to him trying to be a model to his little sister.
Even in the 4th Division he had gained some respect as he had accomplished every task given to him quickly and efficiently and also it was evident that his strength was increasing.There were even some talks of him finally gaining a seated position after years of hard work.The friends he had outside of his family were still a few even though he still met Iraia like 4 times a year as they had progresses from acquaintance to friends and of course he wished for more due to her beauty.
He had taken a lesson out of his previous life where he had always rushed things with girls and ended up with a rejection thus he had opted to slow down things.
His strength had taken a leap as before he was at the rock bottom of unseated officer class and even where a senior student at shino'o academy could give him a run for his money in terms of power but now he had a power of a junior seated officer-class.
His level of reiatsu before was equal to that of new shino'o graduant but now his reiatsu could rival that of a low seated officer.
His ZANKENSOKI had taken an upgrade where his previous skill could be classified as non-existant but now he could be classified as average in zanjutsu, beginner in Hoho and average in kidō.His Hakuda training had not started yet as the body of shinigami took longer to become stronger than that of a human due to their different lifespans.
All in all he had made progress from his past self.Right now he had finished his morning training with push ups.
After 5 minutes of laying on the floor he stood up and started doing some stretching in order to cool his body down. In this morning training training he would start by performing some lite stretches then proceed to perform 5-10 full speed lap on this training ground with 100m length and 50m width.
In the first year of this training he had been unable to perform 3 good full laps but now he could perform 12 good full laps.
After the laps he would perform the technique of shunpo which was difficult at first but he had managed to get it down as applying the correct amount of rēiryoku on your feet in order to move from point A to point B. He could perform only 35 shunpos at max and the distance he could cover by shunpo was only ten metres by each.
After the shunpos try out he would proceed to perform physical body building activities such as push ups, sit ups and etc.
He immediately took off from the training ground which was the training ground used by the Uchihas. It was located outside of the Uchiha compound but within the 1st rukon district. It took a walk of 10 minutes to arrive to this training ground from the compound but with the good old shunpo, it took him 3 minutes and he was at a large double door depicting the large symbol of the Uchiha clan.
He proceeded to take shower, breakfast and then proceeded to move to the Seireitei at a normal pace.He had modified his attire and now his was spotting the normal long shikahushō with fingerless gloves which stopped at his wrists.
He arrived at the 4th Division when he was greeted with a Jigokuchō which he put his index finger up and it layer upon it.
After a full minute the Jigokuchō flapped it's wings and flew while Kaito immediately performed a shunpo and arrived infront of the 7th seat's office.
He knocked on the door office.
"You can come in." A female voice sounded from the inside of the office and he proceeded to open the door.
He entered the office and saw that it was a small room and there at the only desk of the whole room sat a girl of 17 to 18 years old possessing gray eyes and short messy silver hair with strands on the right side of her face that are shoulder-length and styled as two thin braids, with two more on the back of her head. She wears a thin dangling red earring on each ear. She was garbed in the normal black shikahushō. This was the second time to meet one of the characters in bleach.
"Isane Kotetsu, future lieutenant of this division." Of course Kaito could see that she had potential due to the amount of rēiryoku he could sense from her right now which was the 6th class reiatsu.
He also observed that there were also another total of 4 other Soul reapers all lined infront of the desk except him where he joined and all of them were seated officers with 2 of them being male and other 2 being female.
He observed the other people gathered in the room.The first one on the line when he arrived was a bold male with clear blue eyes.He appeared to be in his early 40s with a height of 5'8", he was wearing the normal black shikahushō with a build worth of a body builder with the zanpakutō on his waist.His name was Kageyoni Iriko and 15th seat.
The second person was a female with olive coloured skin who appeared to be in her mid 20s with soft ash blonde hair reaching her shoulder blades and a matching pair of green eyes.She was 5'2" in height and a slight voluptuous body and she was wearing the standard shikahusho but it was closed on her neck and hiding a large bust. She was Yuma Kenma and 19th seat.Her zanpakutō was strapped on her back.
The following person was also a female of light tanned skin and appeared to be in her early 30s with black hair done in a twin ponytail with matching pair of eyes. She had a height of 5'6" and she had a slender body with an average bust. Her name was Akeno Hikari and 19th seat.
The last person was a young-looking male of average build with light tanned skin and short black hair accompanied with clear blue eyes. He was 5'8" and wearing a sleeveless shikahushō with his zanpakutō strapped on his left side. His name was Kimura Shin and 20th seat.
"I am the only one without a seated position." He thought with a little bit of nervousness as he had made himself know all the seated officer in the division he was in.
"Uchiha-san I see that you have arrived then I will make it brief there was a hollow attack in the north of the rukongai in 30th district and a squad has been dispatched from the 13th division but they have requested for reinforcement. So another squad of the 13th division have been requested alongside a 4th division squad in order to treat the injured. Are there any questions?" Isane asked after explaning the situation and all of them shook their heads.
"Then you will meet with the 13th squad on the northern gate then Kageyoni-sān will be the leader of this squad." Isane said and they nodded.
"Then you can move." Isane said and they left quickly ussing shunpo.
After 5 minutes of constant shunpo they arrived infront of the northern gate where they found a group of other 5 shinigamis.
One who appeared as the leader noticed their presence and stepped infront of the group.
"I am Byakkō Amaya and 15th seated officer of the 13th division.Nice to meet you." The man spoke with an appearance of early 30s man with short black hair and a goaty also with silver eyes. He was wearing the normal shikahushō and a zanpakutō strapped on his left side.He offered a little bow.
"Good to meet you too Byakkō-san.I am Kageyoni Iriko and also a 15th seated officer of the 4th division." Iriko responded by also bowing.
"I guess this is the squad that will be accompanying us in this mission." Byakkō said after he had finished passing his eyes through our team and Kageyoni noded.
All ten shinigamis imediately took off with shunpo as they traveled through the north rukongai district.
As they were travelling he saw that hid shunpo was able to keep up with the lower ranked seated officer but the two 15th seats were ahead of them.
After 30 minutes of constant shunpo they arrived in a middle of a street which was surrounded by small hunts. He saw the faces of people in those small hunts and saw how their clothes were poor withsome dirty on their clothes.
"I can sense ten shinigami reiatsu in that forest infront of this district." Byakkō said after they had stopped and tried to sense where they were.
"They are atleast 15 hollows and all of them have average reiatsu. So let's move out."Byakkō said and they immediately shunpoed to the forest which looked like it encircled the whole village in a semi-circle.
They arrived in the forest and found 20 shinigamis fighting against a horde of hollows and the battle seemed pretty even as there were some shinigamis who had nasty injury and were still fighting.
"We will go replace the ones who are the most injured and those injured will be taken by the 4th division members to the side and healed." Byakkō instructed with a commanding voice and they all nodded to the task given.
While the 13th division members rushed towards the middle of the fight, the 4th division members all moved 30 metres away with the most injured members of the 13th division and they laid them on the grass.
"The cravings of the demons, the corruption of gods.Fill the humans with despair and transform nature into hell."
"Bakudō #62:Hojū-shitsu(Replenishing room)." Kageyoni incanted as he extended his two arms infront of him and rectangular green barrier suddenly materialised and surrounded all the injured 13th division members.
"Uchiha and Kimura you will provide this barrier with small amount of reiryoku while me, Yuma and Akeno we will head inside the barrier and help me to heal the injured shinigami.If other bring the others hear all they have to do is for you to create door for them by taking back some of your reiatsu back which will create an opening." Kageyoni explained to Kaito and Shin while he, Yuma and Akeno entered the barrier and started to heal the 4 injured shinigami.Kaito observed the barrier and tried to sense what was happening inside and he saw it.
Every soul reaper released a portion of their reiatsu whether unconsciously or consciously form their wrists. What this bakudō was doing was taking that reiatsu and turning it into reishi and keeping it from leaving the area it covered and restoring that reishi into their wounds which was assisting Kageyoni and the others to easily heal the wounds of the injured shinigami by slowly closing the wounds.
After like 20 minutes, they heard a hollow shriek and immediately a hollow burst out of the forest.
"Rarrrrrrr" The hollow roared to the sky and Kaito was petrified for a moment as this was the first time he had met a hollow face to face. The hollows form was a cross of a spider and a fly with the mask of a fly. It had the height of 6 feet and had 3 pairs of legs with a pair of wings.
"Uchiha keep the bakudō active I will deal with this." Shin said as he stepped forward while drawing his zanpakutō out of the scabbard.
It was the length and curve of an odachi with red hilt and a plain rectangular blue cross guard.
Kaito was jerked from his petrification and focused on increasing the amount of rēiryoku he was feeding the barrier while carefully watching the fight to come. He knew that 1 empty/Greenhorn hollow wouldn't cause a problem for any seated officer so he was confident that Shin would prevail and he even felt that it's reiatsu was lower than his reiatsu currently.
Shin suddenly took a leap and sprinted towards the hollow while raising his sword for a downward slash and that's when the hollow parried with one of it's limbs but while Shin and the hollow crossed sword to limb.
Shin suddenly took a leap backwards using the hollow's limb as anchor and brought his palm forward while chanting.
"Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemon-"
Shin was suddenly struck from his left by a huge palm. Kaito followed the pattern of the palm and saw that it was a monkey-like hollow which had struck Shin from the left.
Shin had impacted a big tree and vomited blood while the spider-like hollow approached him.
Kaito raised his left middlle and index fingers while pointing at the spider-like hollow and incanted.
"Ye Great messenger, you who bears the name of the Saviour, Swallow your mud of desperation and lose faith in humanity!"
"Hadō #4:Byakurai." Kaito said as he shunpoed infront of the hollow and a pale blue stream of high density where it pierced a part of the hollow mask and Shin immediately capitalised on the spider-like hollow lack of attention to slice it's remaining mask with his nodachi and instantly killing it.
When the hollow's body had completely disappeared other 4 hollows stepped from the forest which were equal in power to the first slayed hollow. All were approaching where Shin stood.
One hollow had the appearance of a western dragon with a gray body and red stripes it was 8ft tall.
The second hollow had the appearance of a 10ft black fox.
The third hollow was a 6ft ant-like hollow.
While the last hollow had the appearance of a 7ft flying dolphin.
"You caman leave this barrier to us Uchiha-san, you can go and help Kimura-san." Kageyoni said as he stood up and started sending his rēiryoku into the barrier.
Kaito nodded as he brandished his own katana to fight and Kimura shunpoed at his side to block the hollow to approach the barrier.
"I guess we are in this together huh Uchiha-san?" Shin said as his expression was that of a carefree expression on his face.
"Yeah." Kaito said with a frown on his face.
"Damn this is my actual first combat." Kaito thought with sweat on his forehead as this was the first time he had fought something which had the intent to kill him in all his life and afterlife.
The fox-like hollow suddenly jumped forward towards them and Kaito raised his index finger and chanted.
"Hadō #4:Byakurai" A blue small stream of rēiryoku came out of his finger as he intended to pierce through the mask of the hollow but it swayed left side to dodge the hadō.
Shin immediately shunpoed infront of the hollow and stabbed it through it's mask while slashing upwards to cleanly kill the hollow.
"Three remaining." Kaito counted in his head after he saw the death of the hollow.
"Rarrrrr" As though the other hollows were enticed by the death of the other hollow they immediately sprung to action by jumping towards them.
The monkey-like hollow jumped towards him and he blocked the punch using the blunt side of his zanpakutō but the hollow had more physical strength than him and he skidded almost coming to touch the barrier.
He saw the monkey approaching him and he saw that they would damage the barrier if they continued to fight near the barrier.
"I need to move far from the barrier." Kaito thought to himself as he stabbed his sword into the ground.
Extending his arms facing the hollow he chanted.
"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and tear out your own throat!"
"Bakudō #9:Hōrin." Kaito finished his chant as he extended his right index and middle fingers to the hollow and an orange-hued tendril with yellow patterns of reishi extended from the fingers and ensnared the hollow and he exerted all his strength while pulling the hollow and threw it far away possibly he could with his current strength.
The hollow landed on the ground in about 20 meters away from where he was standing and he used a series of shunpo to directly appear infront of the hollow with his sword raised high as he concentrated all his rēiryoku into his sword and it glowed a reddish hue as he cleanly cleaved the hollow into two clean halves and killed it.
He had no time to enjoy his moment of success as he suddenly felt enormous pain that he never felt in his entire life shoot into the left side of his ribcage as his view of the world suddenly shifted to an upside down view and he felt himself impact a solid object.
"Uff." He exclaimed as he vomited blood due to the force of the impact.
He tried to stand up shakily as he felt immense pain and that's when he saw a white coloured thing in his blurry vision and he tried to react by raising his sword to block the coming attack and he was again flunked towards another tree.
"Damn it where is Kimura." Kaito thought to himself as he felt immense pain at this moment.
His blurry vision started to return as he saw that Shin was fighting against another three hollows by himself and he turned around observing that it was the dragon-like hollow which had attacked him and now it was busy glaring at him through it's red eyes.
"You..sha...ll...die...shin...ni..ga..mi." The hollow had said with a raspy voice as though it was the first time learning how to speak and he clearly didn't get the last world it spoke but he knew that he would die if he didn't start fighting and he rose to his feet as he eyed the dragon-like hollow within 6ft of his position as he raised his zanpakutō to attack.
That's when he felt a sudden pressure of reiatsu which far reached in the senior seated officer class.
He turned towards where he knew the pressure was coming from.
"That's his shikai?" He thought in astonishment as he eyed the double edged katana in Shin hand.
Minutes prior
Shin had been fighting for the past 3 minutes against the 2 hollows when he saw other multiple ones coming and he chose to exert his reiatsu in order to attract the newcomers.
He knew from sensing Kaito's battle that he wouldn't be able to handle other multiple hollows alone and he tried to become the focus of all the hollows.
He looked at all the hollows infront of him and his usual carefree expression took a grim turn.
"Guess I have no choice." Shin thought to himself as he held his katana horizontally parallel to his body.
"Steal all my enemies powers, Kami no Bunkatsu." Shin said as his body was engulfed with sky blue reiatsu which caused all the 6 hollows infront of of him to back out due to the pressure.
After 1 minute the reiatsu died down and there was no major transformation on his body. The only change was his former zanpakutō which before had the shape of a simple katana.
Now the Katana had changed into a double edged katana which had a blue hilt and also possessed 4 diamond shaped curvature on each blade.
Shin had become a shinigami 15 years and it had taken him 10 years to awaken his shikai and he was confident that it could be used in battle.
He twirled the double edged katana in his hands and suddenly a hollow sprung forth and he stood his ground and held the sword perpendicular infront of him.
When the hollow was in arms length, he jumped above the hollow and he swung his double edged katana.
The hollow blocked the attack using its claws but a percurial site happened as one of the 8 diamond curvature on the blade glowed sky blue.
"Zōka." Shin said as he was incased in a sky blue aura and the arm which was blocking his slash was cut off immediately.
Shin landed on the ground and he stabbed the sword into the hollow mask and cleanly cut the mask in a swift motion.
He retrieved his blade as he saw that 1 diamond curvature was glowing.
He analysed the 5 hollows surrounding him after the hollow he had dispatched finished disintegrating.
One of the 5 hollows suddenly sprinted forward and it raised it's armed claws in order to slash at him but he shunpoed atop of the hollow and he slashed across it's whole body.
It didn't take long for the second hollow to come and attack while he was still in the air.
He twirled his double edged katana towards his left side where the hollow was coming from and he completely cut off the offending appendage while also cleanly cutting in half its mask thus killing it.
He stepped on the ground and observed Kaito fight.
"I need to finish this fight quickly and go help the Uchiha." Shin thought to himself as he observed the battle between the dragon-like hollow and his comrade.
He had used reikaku to sense the powers of the hollows and he had sensed that the dragon-like hollow was the strongest among all the hollows here.
The hollow was releasing a reiatsu equal to a low seated officer and he knew that Kaito could not handle such opponents.
Kaito's fight
The laps in his concentration as he marveled the first desplay of a shikai in his life had almost cost him his life.
The dragon-like hollow had come charging with its mouth wide open for a chop when he had used shunpo in the last minute to save his life and appeared another safe distance away from the hollow.
"Damn I really need to work on my lack of concentration in battle." He thought internally as he took his katana in his two hands and proceeded to shunpo infront of the hollow and slashed at its mask.
The hollow flapped its wings and stepped back and the slash missed.
He immediately removed his left hand from his zanpakutō and pointed his index finger at the hollow.
"Hadō #1:Shō." Kaito said as a small purse of energy hit the hollow causing a crack to appear on its mask.
"Grrrrrr" The hollow roared as it flapped its wings and flew towards him with brute speed and he knew that he would not be able able to perform shunpo on time.
So he put up his sword infront of himself horizontally and the hollow came with its fangs wide opened. He pressed his left palm on the blade.
"Bakudō #8:Seki." A blue spiralling ball of energy emerged from the blunt side of his blade and it connected with the mouth of the hollow which caused a great repulsion force to occur and both him and the hollow were struck by a force.
Kaito impacted the ground and rolled. He struggled to stand up as he eyed his opponent and saw that the dragon-like hollow was standing up.
All of a sudden Shin appeared behind and he felt a bade go through his abdomen but he could not feel any pain from the stab.
"What the hell." Kaito thought in astonishment.
"Uchiha-san, you can relax I got this." Shin said in a serious voice.
"Ikō." Shin said as a sky blue aura transferred from his blade into Kaito body.
Kaito could feel himself getting more powerfull and his energy started to step into the 6th class reiatsu.
"Mas..." A raspy voice was heard which could not be identified as female or male.
"What did you say Kimura-san?" Kaito asked himself as he tried to sense where the voice was coming from.
"I said nothing." Shin replied with a curious expression.
Suddenly Kaito was enveloped in an explosion of gold reiatsu.
"So strong!" Kaito thought as he lifted his katana to his face and saw that it had gone through some changes as the clothes to the hilt had changed into golden cloth and the guard had changed to form an hourglass figure resembling a sand clock which was encircled by a circular shape.
The change had not affected the blade which remained katana sized.
Kaito observed and saw that the hollow they were fighting were 6 and had regrouped.
"My zanpakutō has the ability to steal the rēiryoku of any one it touches and redistribute it to anyone it touches. The boost you received will be effective for only 30 seconds. We will have to make this quick." Shin said to him as he explained the ability of the zanpakutō.
They both took their respect stance and suddenly dashed towards the hollow as also the hollow dashed towards them.
Kaito taking the left flank and Shin taking the right flank.
Shin met his opponent first and the hollow attemped to block his shikai using its limbs but they were cut off.
Kaito arrived behind Shin and jumped above the limbless hollow and brought his zanpakutō down in a slashing motion and cleanly cleaved the hollow in two.
The fight proceeded with the same pace.Shin would be the one to tank the hollow's attacks and Kaito would attack in order to distract the hollow from the final blow or he would settle the final blow in himself.
In 30 minutes the only remaining hollow was the dragon-like hollow but it had one of its wings clipped off and it had become weaker.
All the shinigami and 1 hollow all looked into the sky when they heard a ripple.
There was a tear in the sky which was slightly enlarging and a white skeleton hand came out of the tear and started pulling the tear apart.
"A Garganta?" Kaito thought in astonishment.
After 10 seconds the tear had enlarged which was big enough for 2 skyscrapers to fit.
2 Gillians stepped out and he felt himself lose hope due to the amount of reiatsu he was sensing from them as they each had power to equal a lower seated officer.
He felt himself lose the boost he got from Shin zanpakutō's ability.
He knew that only Shin would be able to fight against one of the Gillians but not all 2 of them by himself.
He knew that what they had fought were the basic hollow which consisted of 1 main soul and each of the hollow was as strong as the average unseated officers.
Above the basic hollows there was the Menos Grande which consisted of 3 groups namely: Gillian, Adjuchas and Vasto lorde.
He knew also that Gillian power were comparable to the average low seated officer. this meant that two of them would give a high seated officer a rough time.
"Hadō #88. Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō." A gentle voice said from behind Kaito and Shin.
A gigantic blue beam of rēiryoku was fired onto the two gigantic gillians.The beam evaporated the head of the two gillian completely killing them.
Kaito turned around to face the one who had attacked the hollow and saw one of the prominent Gotei 13 members.
Htere standing behind him was Ukitake Jūshirō.He appeared to be the same in canon with his long white hair which was parted to his left side to reveal his green eyes.
He stood atleast 7 inches taller tan him. He was wearing the standard black shikahusho along with a long sleeved white haori to show his captain status.
This was the first time he saw another captain except for Unohana and he could not sense any reiatsu from him which was also the case with Unohana.
He could certainly feel their strong presence but that was it.
He could not sense his or Unohana's rēiryoku.
They suddenly saw that the dragon-like hollow was escaping through the garganta which was still open and it looked back at him specifically.
"My na..me is Aur...oria...Ign..ixis and I wi..ll kill. you ne...xt ti...me we me..et..shini..gami."It looked at him bashing it's teeths together in anger or it could be called a she as there was definitely female touch in the voice. He immediately tensed up in order to give chase.
"No need to chase after that one it will not survive for long." Ukitake said as Kaito was prepared to rush at the escaping hollow.
"Damn after a few minutes of fighting I am totally exhausted, I needed to really work on my stamina to be able to fight longer battles and I also need more battle experience as I made multiple errors such lacking enough concentration to always keep my guard up ." He concluded after relaxing his muscles and he suddenly felt light headed and knew that exhaustion was kicking in and he suddenly lost consciousness.
Before his body could hit the ground Shin caught him.
"I guess his body was not used to that kind of power." Shin thought as he eyed Kaito who was heavily breathing.
"He looks like Kenji-san maybe that's his son." Ukitake thought to himself. Of course he knew of the lieutenant of the Tenth division as he was one of the old lieutenants in the Gotei 13 second only to Sasakibe Choujiro.
"Captain we have rounded up everyone and nobody was found dead but they are 5 critically injured shinigamis." A shinigami with average build came infront of the captain and kneeled.
"All right tell them to gather all the injured and we shall travel to the Seireitei in 5 minutes."Ukitake said after everyone was ready to move.
Shin put Kaito on his shoulder and other 4th division members took all the injured with the help of some of the 13th division members and they proceeded to take 50 minutes to travel to the Seireitei.
Theey arrived in Seireitei and immediately went to the 4th Division and all the injured were brought to the relief teams.
•••Next morning•••
He groaned as he struggled to open his eyes.
The light was affecting his vision as he was slowly adapting.
"Uchiha-San, I see that you are awake." A sweet motherly voice was heard to his left and he struggled to turn his head to the source of the voice.
He squinted to adjust to the light and he saw a slender and very youthful woman with blue eyes and black hair. She was wearing the standard Shinigami shihakushō and long sleeve captain haori. She also wearing an obi instead of sash which hide her well endowed assets. Her hair was long and was worn as a large braid down the front of her body.
"How do you feel Uchiha-san?" She asked.
"I feel slightly ok." He answered as he tried to recollect all his memories.
She stepped towards the bed he was on and proceeded to run her hand over his body which glowing a light green colour indicating the usage of Kaidō.
"You had your ribcage and some arm bones broken and some internal injuries. All your injuries have been dealt with but you have yet to regain one hundred percent of your rēiryoku." Unohana said after analysing his body with kaidō.
Kaito nodded with the assessment as he could feel his rēiryoku was lower than usual and he could feel some bandages on those parts of the body she mentioned.
"You are also prohibited from participatingin any physical activities dueing a period of two weeks, is that understood?" Unohana smilled with her eyes closed and he could feel something sinister about her smile.
"There is something scary about her other than her being a simple captain for a medical squad." Kaito thought to himself sweating bullets as he nodded furiously. During the time he watched bleach he could not know where to place Unohana in power houses but he saw how many prominent figures feared her when in her presence.
All he knew about her was that she was one of the oldest captain alongside the captain-commander, Shunsui Kyouraku and Ukitake Jūshirō.
"The good news is that due to the report given to me of the battle, I have decided to promote you the rank of 20th seat due to your battle prowess. After you fully recover you will come to my office and I will give you details of your new assignment." Unohana said with the gentle smile returning on her face.
"Thank you for the promotion." He said with a small smile as he could feel himself getting recognition for his hardwork.
"Well I will be getting somewhere else and you have some visitor." Unohana said as she exited the room and he was left staring at the white wall.
"So you decided to wake up from your beauty sleep." A voice said from the door and he saw Shin entering the room with a carefree expression.
"I heard of your promotion and I would like to be the first one to congratulate you on your promotion." Shin said with a smile.
"So now we are equal in terms of seat?" Kaito said with a small satisfactory smirk.
"Well I wouldn't like to burst your bubble but I have been transferred to the 13th division as a 15th seated officer after my performance yesterday." Shin replied with a smug smirk.
"Hmm" He certainly wasn't pouting or so he thought.
"Hahaha, anyways I will be transferring out in the next week."Shin said after laughing at the look on Kaito's face.
"Anyways, I would like to know why you came to a division like this which is suited for non-combatant shinigami which is what you are not." Shin said as a serious expression fell on his face.
"Well I first wanted to gain a better understanding on how to control my rēiryoku and what better way than to learn some Kaidō." Kaito said with a serious expression.
"Well I guess your reasoning is acceptable and I was in need of a training partner." Shin said with a smile on his face.
"Well I want also to gain experience not only through fighting death battles." Kaito said as he remembered his fight and how much he had spaced out due to his lack of inexperience.
"I guess we have an agreement." Shin said as he offered Kaito a handshake which he took

After agreeing to always meeting in the 4th division training barracks on Saturday for a light spar.
He was dismissed from the hospital and was given a leave for 2 weeks.
He had arrived in the Uchiha compound and was complimented by his father and mother for his promotion while his 5 years old sister was very extatic for her brother.
"I wonder how it would be if I achieve the rank of captain or lieutenant." He thought to himself with a small chuckle as he imagined all the festivals which would take place.
There had been a small celebration in place of the usual dinner and where his father had asked to talk in privacy with him after the dinner.
They went ot the Family Head office and both sat on the 2 tatami on the floor which were facing each other.
"The reason I brought you here tonight is that I want to personally say that I am very proud of what you achieved today as you made the clan proud and I have seen it how you tirelessly work yourself out."He father started with a proud smile on his face.
"I am also proud of how after the birth of your younger sibling you have become more responsible than before." His father said with a proud voice and he immediately pieced what his father was thinking.
"So he thinks I started training due to the birth of my little sister. I don't complain about that as it gives more credibility to the change in personality." Kaito mused to himself.
"The elders of the clan have started to demand that you retake the noble and history lesson of the Soul Society as they had stopped due to your lack of motivation but now you have started to show capacity of a capable heir they want to restart the program." Kenji said with an emotionless face.
"Do not worry outo-sama, I will not disappoint you in any form." Kaito replied with conviction as even though he was not the original owner of the body. He had inherited the love of family from the previous owner.
"I will see to it." His father replied with a small smile.
