Discontinuation Notice

This story is both beautiful and tragic.

Hello dear readers. If you have been reading this story for a while, I just want to thank you for everything you've done. Thank you for all of the support you gave me throughout the years.

I've actually been working on this story for a long time.

I remember working on this story in high school on a family vacation to the beach.

Now I'm in medical school.

Time sure does fly by.

I've loved this story so much, but I also think that I need to let this story go.

Originally, I wrote this to be a sort of part 1 slash prequel to a three part series about the People of the Water. I always loved the movie Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea and wanted to do a rewrite about it adding a lot more worldbuilding to Manaphy and the People of the Water, who are mentioned but not much else is known about them besides a few things.

I wanted this story to be a prequel to dive deeper into the People of the Water before I did the rewrite of the movie.

But now that I'm much older and have been working on this story for a long time, I've decided to discontinue this story.

To be honest, I don't think there is a point to this story anymore.

As much as I liked what I was writing about, and my characters, and the world I fleshed out, the story really doesn't have a purpose anymore. Maybe it never had a purpose or maybe I just missed my window to write this.

I think that the first chapter of this story is the perfect prequel to a rewrite of Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea.

What I plan to do is mark this story as discontinued, and publish a more cleaned up version of chapter one of this story on its own to serve as the prequel I was looking for.

I'm hoping by the middle of next year, I can start publishing my rewrite of the movie that inspired all of this.
