Spinning Stories

Author Notes: A weird crossover-but one I could see and now actually want to see lol. I needed a halloweeny piece, and Sen be an arachnaphobe so here we go. Don't own Onmyoji and Digimon.

3rd P.O.V

It had been so long since they last saw each other. "Ahhhhh it's been so long my friend." Arukenimon hugged her fellow Jorogumo close. "Indeed, how have things been? Do you have a new master to serve? Don't tell me you got married again!" Her fellow arachnid maiden chuckled at the questions.

Sighing in bliss as she gandered the amount of food and drinks prepared. Truly, she had been looking forward to having a day to themselves. "I do indeed have a new master, though not a man this time. A sweet young lady that even asked for my name-" Arukenimon widened her eyes at that.

Though the two long lived separate lives, in separate worlds, it always was a shock when their kind was given any sort of respect or care. "Oh? What did you tell her? Surely you didn't give her your name from when you were human." She took a bite of the lemon tart that sat delicately on the plate in front of her.

Sour, with a slight sweetness burrowed underneath. It was good, but not as good as it was back home. "No no. I threw that name away the moment I killed my bastard husband. I told her I didn't have one, but she could simply call me what I am, Jorogumo. She told me that I deserved a proper name."

Her cyan blue clad friend smiled while reaching for her red velvet cupcake. brightening their already delightful catch up session. And frankly Arukenimon couldn't blame her for that. Having a master like that was like finding a shred of hay in a stack of needles.

"Did you come up with one?" A truly painful process, Arukenimon would know. She herself didn't have a master to claim as her own. Honestly she was fine with that. Without a human to claim her, she could wear as much red as she pleased. Could terrorize whoever and whenever wherever she wished.

A lifestyle dedicated to causing people trouble at her own pace. Her friend was never the type to be independent like her. Where she lived before her transformation beat it into her she had to have a companion. It was the only reason she married that cruel lord or what not in the first place.

Still, she was happy to see she finally found someone who cared for her. "I didn't. I couldn't. So when I told her to come up with one, she decided on the name, Saphira." Arukenimon allowed the name to roll off her tongue, nodding.

It was a wonderful name, one that matched the blue nails and jewelry that adorned her companion. "Lovely. Out of curiosity what is she doing now? Surely she didn't let you just wander off?" Saphira took a sip of her tea, sighing in bliss over the mild floral blend.

"I told her I needed to go visit a friend of mine and she said 'Ok, have fun!' I swear that child, If I wasn't so loyal, she would've been killed moments after our contract was made. She lets me do as I please, Arukenimon. She lets me cook our meals!" At that the two spider women howl with laughter.

Arukenimon pounding the table, uncaring for the shaking dishes as tears fell from her eyes. "How young is this master? Does she have any idea the dangers our kind presents? You could've filled her food with poison, webbed her up before sucking her life dry, sliced her throat without a second thought!"

Saphira was still trying to regain her voice, but she nodded to each of her friend's statements. All of those things could've happened, had happened with previous owners. So many times would she endure weeks of insufferable treatment, it was only fair she made them feel the consequences of their actions.

"Indeed. So many of her peers, hell even her parents who forced her into being a spiritualist, all told her not to trust me. That unless she had an iron heart, I would only cause her misfortune when I was summoned." Arukenimon drank her tea, swallowing another bite of her tart.

She made sure not to touch either, instead she leaned a bit forward. "What did she say to that?" Saphira leaned in to meet her halfway, a sparkle in her eyes while she whispered her reply.

Giddiness glided from her tone. "She said that she would place her trust in me. If we were partners then it was only right I had a say in how we did things and that no one else's opinion matters." Arukenimon squealed, clapping her hands.

It sounded like something out of a fairytail. The misunderstood beast finally finds their fated ally in the realm of hatred. "How old is this girl? Five? Six?" Instead of answering, Saphira took another sip of tea, managing to keep it down despite being on the verge of another laughing fit.

"Eighteen." Did she hear that correctly? "You're joking!" Her friend was still smiling, amusement pulling those lips to her ears. "I assure you, no. The girl is eighteen, an incredible spiritualist who currently only has me under contract."

Arukenimon engulfed the rest of her tart, consumed the rest of her tea before piling on a a few cheese bread balls onto her place, accompanied by another cup. "How long has this contract been held? For her to be so understanding-" Saphira raised her hand, cutting off the red dressed jorogumo's surprise.

Doing this allowed her to actually stuff her mouth with food and drink. Arukenimon was a stress eater, as much as she was embarrassed to admit it. Though she knew she needed it, she was sulky that Saphira remembered it and allowed her to ingest three of her eight bread balls before continuing.

"We've been under contract for two years now. I was her third summon when the first two automatically rejected her offer. You don't have to worry for me." Two years? Most contracts lasted a month...truly her friend struck out lucky.

There were many spirits and demons and monsters that roamed these vast realms, but so few jorogumo. "Are you happy with this young master?" It wasn't a question that even needed a verbal answer. They both knew it, still Saphira humored her.

Her smile was somehow even larger than before. "Yes. I'm able to live as I please, able to protect someone I am proud to be under contract with. We're friends, family even. She is like the daughter I never had the chance to have." Arukenimon could only smile in return.

She was happy for her. So, so happy. "Good. I'm still angry about that one guy that only summoned you to use as a meat shield." Saphira's eyes widened hearing that, waving away both the memory and the scowl. "We don't talk about that good for nothng. I killed him quickly." It was a wonderful day.

"Now it's your turn Aru. We've dished out enough about my latest happenings. What's going on with you? Are you still traveling with that cowardly mummy?" She snorted into her drink.

Amazing how time makes it so easy to forget. "Left that fool behind ages ago. All he did was whine while I did all the heavy work. Been enjoying the quiet. Though maybe I should give that owner thing a try again. See if it turns out any different."

Saphira raised her cup towards her. "Well...I could put in a good word to my master if you'd like. I'm sure she'd enjoy having you around. But unless said otherwise, take it easy. This is a time to feast before we stir a little fear into the humans. All the spirits are going to be leaving soon to get their kicks in." Their teacups clicked.

Both of them eyes the rest of their snacks. Oh yes. If they wanted to get in scaring so poor souls they had to have a full stomach...these desserts just couldn't go to waste. "I call the chocolate." Saphira pouted, betrayed.

"Then I get the fruit fillings." Arukenimon frowned, mentally cursing. There was certainly more to talk about, but that could be done later. When their first priorities are situated. After all they have all night to catch up and it was barely even sundown.

The End

Author Notes: Yikes, so caught up in habits and getting things done I almost said to be continued instead of the end. I don't know but I can imagine these two spider ladies having a ball while having tea time. It also helps that Sen and I both like Digimon, and my Jorogumo from when I played onmyoji with him.

I haven't touched the game in years after it nearly killed my computer but still, that was my favorite shiki and was my main in the game. Saphira was my nickname for her but sen and I always refered to her as my spider queen because of how she always came through for me.

I know there were times she saved Sen's ass despite his aracnophobia lol. But sadly enough nostalgia, it's time to wrap this up. Guys thank you so much for reading. If you like feel free to fav/follow/review and check out our other holiday one shots. See you next time, tchao for now.
